The Council had been stretched thin after the Warlord Republic had driven them back. The Quartermaster didn't fare much better, having lost an eye and gained less sleep with each passing day. The Captain was rarely seen out of his quarters since the loss of Neptune's Trident, a wound to his pride that ran deep.However, this would change after a swelling of their ranks from the most unlikely of places - the tourists.Men, and even women, from all around the world would be enamored by the lifestyle and romanticism of being a buccaneer. While reality was much different, the swelling of numbers (and the money they brought, more specifically) would stem the tide of the Horde.Indeed, the people that were once seen as an afterthought at best were now granting the pirates what could possibly be the turning of the tide in this war.
