It's a classification that exists to regulate the like 4 major AI companies that exist.High risk AI has certain disclosure requirements to people looking to buy the model to put in their own products (as opposed to end users) that amounts to writing a good technical manual.General purpose models are subjected to similar requirements, but for the EU's AI office and domestic equivalents.There's also requirements to tell users they're interacting with AI or seeing the product of generative AI.If you want to read the regulation yourself it's Regulation (EU) 2024/1689 (should be available in Italian on EUR-Lex). Article 13 for the high-risk requirements, Article 53 for the general purpose requirements, and Article 50 for the generative AI/chatbot stuff.I could probably send a copy of the draft I wrote if you're interested.
