I feel Episode 7 had potential, but 8 kind of ruined it (you'd think the middle-film would be the best of the three, as with previous trilogies), and 9 just buried it. I mean really, Finn could've been put to more use--he was originally going to be Force Sensitive, and Rose could've been his love interest, potentially with her discovering the Force and having a pink lightsaber. Rey's accent (a very British one) is the only saving grace to me.
I never liked it but I agree, seeing how it is now is depressing. Woke girl power shit, pointless retcons, a story so convoluted there's really no point in following anymore. I remember Star Wars: The Clone Wars being well received by fans while it ran, is that true?

Star Wars has always been gay and shitty, anyway. George Lucas admits that it is shitty slop, that he didnt care about it and its a cheap, lazy knockoff of the dune series. The characters are retarded, the dialogue is garbage, the worldbuilding is super fucking gay. This series has always been utter garbage.

Disney buying the franchise can't take that body of work away from the world. Just pretend the sequels were never made and the old canon remains canon.

I watched the original and prequel trilogy, gained a respect for George Lucas' original vision, and quite frankly they're all I care about. They're what I grew up on and paired with how the messaging resonated with me upon rewatches as I got older, it's all I really will care about. I have no interest in engaging with all the Disney shows that have been coming out.
