I wouldn't want to get involved with someone who uses AI, either. However this also applies to people who write culture "articles" in rags, use words like "ick" unironically, or talk shit about their dates to strangers

I think some people have started to become too edgy about ai. Its great for jokes, funny convos, good at explaining science, and can be a good foil to you when discussing creative stuff. Like the stuff it proposes can be eye-opening in some ways. For example when I write a story I ask it to think of continuation or character to understand by frustratrion and my desire to argue with it, what DOESNT fit my vision at all and how I can do it better. You cant really discuss stuff in such manner with other humans. It really is just a tool and people overhype it and take it too seriously as if it is actually sentient. Stupid people would have never created anything good anyways, ai or not. But I have seen some comedic passages being really elevated by including ai. Like a person not good at drwing but decent sense of humar ordering it to make a picture of two babushaks fighting to death with french bread as sabers. Not me, just stuff my friends do with their custom bot on a server. Its fun.Relax yer fucking buttocks. Its not art and commerical uses of it are universally frowned upon anyways because its looks so cheap when appropriated by corporants. If anything it will help the downfall of soulless corporate culture currently reigning over art.

>>83082887Don't know what you qualify as significant but academia is currently well into a process of AI-adaptation. They failed to fight it, so use of it is now a presumption for all academic work. Also it has taken over recruitment, and is now a significant part of administrative decisionmaking. The courts in my country made a ruling that means AI can basically fire people without being able to explain its reasoning, and that is happening already and will happen more and more
