I was thinking about making a home gym because i don't like going outside to work out but it'd cost me 600$ just for the basics. any fit robots with a home gym to weigh in? how nice is it? is it worth the steep cost?

>home gym
literally just burpees all the way, man
weights? i lift pic related

I lift a few punching bags my dad got me as a kid right now but i feel a little limited because they're too light, 20kg. feeling the need for something heavier and going to the gym and having to see other people is a pain

Get into calisthenics. You just need a pullup bar and a dip bar. You can go cheap on the pullup bar with the kind that attach to a doorframe which is kind of sketchy or save up for a decent one that's standalone, made of metal, and can be assembled anywhere.

>having to see other people is a pain
you'll grow out of it
they're all bullshit anyway, other people i mean

You can work out every part of your body with dumbbells + a pullup bar. That's all you need. When you need heavier dumbbells get heavier dumbbells.

i doubt it, last time i had a membership i got criticized by the way i dressed for some fucking reason so i didn't go back after that
>>83083169
i did calisthenics for some time but never really clicked for me because i like lifting heavy stuff but i'll look into that anon thanks for the advice

I have a barbell, plates, bench, and some dirt cheap squat stands. I can put everything away when I am done working out, so it takes up very little space in my shitty apartment.

>way i dressed
what the fuck? what were you wearing at the time?
>>

T shirt and shorts, i'm autistic so i'm not really sure how fashion works, my t shirt was a cyan green and the shorts were black if that matters. some girl came up to me and said some stuff i don't really remember and laughed
>>83083196
I'm inclined to get a pull up bar now after the thread, thanks anons.

I'm going for a similar setup but for some reason the weights are expensive as fuck per kg
>>
Wouldn't a gym cost you that much in less than a year?
>>
>>83083882
Putting it that way, yeah probably. gonna buy the stuff, thanks anon

>I'm going for a similar setup but for some reason the weights are expensive as fuck per kg
you can buy plates and bars used if you get lucky
>>

I usually go to the gym at midnight to avoid other people. That said it costs $60 per month so if I built a good home gym It'd be worth itself within a year or two. I just don't have the real estate for it.
