i don't think i would be okay with it unless i could go back to normal life again, if it was like a video game where you can enter into a simulation for a little while recreationally then i would do it, but a simulation to live in i don't think i'd be hunky dory with that.

i once read about this thing called the experience machine which works kind of like vr where you can live like you want but ofc it isn't really reflective of real life events so i don't know if fomo would stop someone from choosing a simulated reality to the real one
