Speaking of professional consequences, you are effectively hard filtered from any job that has a licensing board to allow you to practice (doctor, pharmacist, lawyer, pilot, security clearance) since you have an official certification of mental defectiveness on your permanent record they literally don't give a fuck about the law because they are the law, and something something consumer protection blablabla, and even if you're not in those lines of work it effectively paints a massive target on your back for your employer and coworkers to nudge you into leaving.
