>Have about 560 tabs open on my pc at any given time>Beefy 4090 so it runs perfectly>Computer get's real slow, Windows demands "update">Update and restart>No option to restore tabs pop up>Lose a few hundred videos, websites, and some comics I was going to watch and enjoy later on>Fuck you fuck you fuck you>I hope Microsoft fucking keels over and dies>And I was having such a good night
>>83089415you were not getting around to them hundreds of videos and its your own fault, this is why bookmarks exist
>>83089421It's the principal of the thing anon. The principal!!!! I had them open. MY computer was doing just fine. MY day was going great. And now I have been pimp slapped by Microsoft updates. I wish to God honor duals were still a thing. I might cry. And yeah, I'm the kind of guy that sees burning a library as an unforgivable loss.
have you tried linux?
>>83089415theres a potential for a huge life lesson to be learned hereall that shit is gone and you're still fine, it's really not that big of a deal, perhaps theres some other tabs in your life that you're desperately trying to keep open but maybe you'd be better off closing them
Oof, anon. I always bookmark my windows; though it sucks my laptop is so shit and so fucked up that I can't leave hundred open like in FF's heyday. The fucking C-Drive is so tiny that the cocksucker Win updates have filled it up, and I'm running month long sessions because the laptop has crapped out on wake-up and on restarts; so the session, page file, whatever the fuck, is taking almost all available space. Was down to less than 200MB.I was forced to logout and also restart a few days earlier than planned and I am still below 2GB free, after having 4-6 GB last time; so my fucking thumbnails keep resetting. FUCK. I was hoping the end of Win 10 would actually solve some of the problems on this piece of shit laptop but I'm still forced to take bloatware. I'm planning to buy a new laptop, but it's just sickeningly expensive to me, even on Klarna.
>>83089415Ctrl+shift+t you fucking retard
>>83089553Are you talking about the c drive is full from windows 10? (This would need to be a 32gb drive for this to easily happen) or with the end of windows 10 do you mean that 11s massive heaving bloat of 5gb ram on idle is using up the majority your 8gb stick? In either case you can just buy a part as long as your shit isn't soldered
>>83089435A mismatch between my monitor refresh rate and graphics driver killed my last Linux install. Won't boot at all, not detected by bios, nothing.
opera used to have a good session saving feature that they completely got rid of it in the chromocaust
i dont know much about computers but genuine question. why does my computer suddenly behave like it just got infected with ten billion viruses and flooded with malware every single time windows wants an update
>>83089415I have 500 tabs open on safari and sometime it fucking deletes all my tabs. I am beyond pissed
>>83089415I use Gentoo. That's all.
I have a 4090 too and lost 3000+ tabs of porn. It's happened so many times that I don't even care, I have thousands of pages bookmarked in folders for when this happens and I just opened a folder containing last year's porn because of this a few months ago. Right now I have 3037 tabs in my porn window and 54 in the main.
>thinking the gpu does literally anything but render videos on your browserI hate people who buy prebuilds
>>83089639The former. It's 98 gigs, but it's almost full anyway. Lot of bloat shit from the manufacturer too. I use Disk Cleanup and Bleachbit too.Even if I were not getting bluescreens, phantom errors, and cannot trust the sleep mode anymore, it's still worth replacing entirely.I even have the rapid power drain once it's off the power lead, even though the battery claims it is 'okay'. Not even worth a new battery either.
>>83090334>instead of learning how to solve these very easily fixable problems he will just buy a new one like a good goy
>>83090348Tried to fix it myself, but couldn't.
>>83090404run disk cleanup, purge the shit out of all the bloatware and disable telemetry with shutup10thats an easy start and takes less than an hour
I agree. For some retarded reason I insist on doing everything in incognito windows so it doesn't go on my history, but this means that whenever things crash or an update is forced on me I lose all my conversations, books, articles, videos etcetera. However I think this may actually be a good thing. Forcing myself to get through each thing immediately or to discard it, instead of saving a hundred differnet things for later and never doing any them, is a good habit. Not just when it comes to online procrastination, but generally in life
