It used to be that we had bad habits we wanted to get rid of and vices we wanted to limit and good habits we wanted to implement and stick to, but that was lame and gay self-help BS. Now we say the exact same thing but mention dopamine a million times and treat every activity the same as abusing hard drugs and that's cool and SCIENCE!Rephrasing the dopamine detox without mentioning dopamine: You cut out all your bad habits and vices for a month. During this time you only do good habits and sleep. Once the month is up you reimplement your "bad habits" in a more moderate way. Wow, that sounds like a radical way to change yourself for the better. But we don't get to sound like wannabe neuroscientists and claim it'll cure brain cancer or whatever. If you ever limited how much music you listen to in order to control your dopamine, you are a junky. "Hey, this track is good, but if you watch paint dry for a month then listen to it it would sound even better!"Unless you use drugs you should never use the word dopamine in any context.

>>83091006"A Rant On Something To Which I Was Late" actually doesn't sound right."A Late Rant"? What would you title it?
>>83091045Don't rant, and you'll get a better title.
>>83090982what da hell are you yappin on about anon?I don't get what you are trying to sayanyway are you feeling alright?
>>83091117I have a bad habit of looking through archives with terms and I found this one where dummies use dopamine then rec the same basic self-help stuff but think they're not.>are you feeling alright?I'm not. I want to attack these guys on their ideas but they're in the archives and it seems no one else attacks them in the ways I want to attack them and it makes me feel bad I just want to say my piece to them.
>>83091117>>83091168Thanks for asking about that.
>>83091168Dammit! Showing any weakness means their rhetoric is right. I have failed.
>>83091168>>83091199Try using the "essay" format next time that you should have learned in school, where you begin with a thesis and back it up with supporting points.
the rediscovery of our discarded arbitrary repressive morals through a secular and egotistic investigation of self-care, purpose and happiness is definitely a chungus 100 moment for the history booksthough i recognize this isn't what you mean
>>83091896>though i recognize this isn't what you meanCould be it. It's like someone was passive about themselves but finally decided to take action to better themselves when they discovered 'nofap' or something and are now deep into the rhetoric of that specific thing when it's really they just did basic self-help.
