Just got this put in earlier today. No serious pain or discomfort yet, but I can feel the forces acting on my teeth and bones. Really hoping this thing doesn't give me a recessed maxilla.
All of this because we didn't have meat and roots to chew on as kids, crazy

>>83096758Yeah I did, I finally got it on today. From studies I read, the correction of class 2 bite is corrected fairly well with this appliance for adults. Changes to the skeletal features is contentious though, some studies show significant changes in some angles and others dont.
>>83096604I dont think it will give you a recessed maxilla as it will mostly pull top teeth back and the bottom fallward a little (most movement is top teeth back) as long as no extractions were done this shouldn't cause a major appearance chance if anything it may improve things slightly. Having this as a child actually almost completely cured my previous pretty severe TMJ which was fantastic and completely worth the annoyance of braces. I think i look better post braces and saw no major jaw differences myself
