Apparently this is only based anti depressant

Have any of you taken it?
>>
>>83096936
Yes I have. It worked for me. It made me feel high and very calm while taking it. I took it alongside Lexapro
>>
>>83096936
It's alright don't expect miracles to happen
>>
>>83096951
Why take two psych meds?

>>83096955
What should I expect then? One anon says it makes them high
>>
>>83096936
I heard it makes you lose your hair
>>
>>83096960
no sideffects, your ed goes away, and feeling a small urge to do more, not really sad, but not really glad either. I didn't feel high whatsoever, but i'm on 5 different meds
>>
>>83096960
>Why take two psych meds?
Because one is for anxiety, the other is for depression. Wellbutrin doesn't treat anxiety, I think, but it treats depression. I have really bad anxiety, so I was put on Lexapro. I was put on them when I was around 11-12.

Is it even worth it? I don't really want to deal with all the side effects and stuff like that only to find out it doesn't work like all the others I've been on. I just want to feel happy again but the best anti depressant I've found so far is just a bullet
>>
>>83097014
wellbutrin is used to treat ADHD as well so it's a stimulant sort of
>>
if only they made it that easy
>>
>>83096936
I've been on 150mg for weeks. Not much has changed
>>
>>83096936
I tried it at two points in my life and it didn't do shit for me
But then again most anti-depressants don't do shit for me
>>
i cold turkeyed lexapro a year ago mother im the lowest ive ever been i was never this depressed or suicidal before ssris, man i feel nothing, this has been the worst year of my life the health anxiety is a 20/10
>>
I don't need antidepressants because I'm a completely normal, sane guy.
>>
>>83097595
Go to 300?
>>83097661
Did lexspro help ?
>>83097666
Ur not normal if ur here
>>
>>83097710
>Did lexspro help ?

memes and everything aside it 10000% helped anxiety and depression. but the side effects like restless likes trying to fall asleep and brainzaps made me cold turkey. im genuinely thinking about getting back on it i have a whole months worth.
>>
>>83097716
What are ur thoughts on Wellbutrin I was offered it between Lexpro? I got Wellbutrin
>>
>>83096936
Didn't do jack shit for me.
>>
>>83096936
Ate 150mg for weeks and then stopped since it did nothing for me. Never went up to 300 since it felt useless.
>>
>>83097649
Which do?
>>
>>83096936
It was alright, I guess. It didn't give me full-blown sensory overloads like when I took Abilify and Zoloft.
>>
Yes, It's better tha ssri, snri etc. because it doesn't have that cloudy, stiff feeling. It's only side effect is that you can become more angry. It makes me sleep 7 hours a day instead of... 10-11...
>>
>>83097014
You can try another NDRI that doesn't require weeks of consumption to figure out if helps or not. Methylphenidate (Ritalin) is pretty good for figuring things out, since it's instant release and doesn't affect serotonin much.

>>83097758
Do you mean they offered you both and got you to just pick one? Lexapro is an SSRI while Buprion is an NDRI. Either of them working for you relies on you having either a dopamine or a serotonin deficiency. Trial and error is a bit of a shitty way to find out, but I guess if you're gonna do that then it's better to start with an NDRI.
>>
>>83096936
I'm on it right now.
No terrible side effects but it's not that strong either. People will say it doesn't affect anxiety but it absolutely does for me. In fact it feels like it does that more than it removes depression. I still get depressed on it. The main effect for me is that it kind of makes me more comfortable around people and less affected by them. It does make me more irritable and there is a sort of "emotional blunting" in that way but I don't think it's the same as other anti-depressants. I think it does affect my enjoyment of media a little. It kind of slows me down in a way. I think all of these things are connected and the ultimate effect I would describe as feeling like a more "independent" person if that makes sense. Also it makes me really horny.
Out of all the anti-depressants this is the only one I would ever take. The others will screw you up some way or another and stay far away from anti-psychotics unless you're a full blown schizo (in which case you won't listen to anyone anyway).
>>
>based anti depressant
oxymoron, jew concoctions are the antithesis of based
>>
>>83098891
How Much mgs? And how long have you tsken it
>>
Been on it for so long but I have a feeling it really gives me extreme dopamine and adenaline highs and subsequent crashes. Little things can trigger overreaction to a way too small stimulus. I feel good but I have to prevent doing too pleasurable things or the lows will follow.

I also think it fucks with my memory and interferes with my sleep.

In all I would have never gotten on these meds knowing the experience. The human organism is optimized as is. You just gotta have the outside life sorted, friends, meaning and hope for the future. If you think you can realistically sort that then never get on these meds.
They will fuck something subtle up for you and you won't even notice but your life can turn out way different than it had to.

The makers of these drugs should not be allowed to screw with peoples brains and reward systems, but they do.
>>
What I hate the most about people criticizing meds is that legal drugs like alcohol are far, far worse yet get less criticism. Almost no med will lobotomize you as badly as alcohol. If you're drinking regularly you are far worse than someone taking meds.
>>83099971
Interesting! I took it for a year and the only side effect was increased aggression and competetivness, arguably a good thing for a shy loser like me.
>bad memory
Isn't that a sign of depression? I have terrible memory with or without meds, worse during worse episodes.
>highs and lows
I took it every day and didnt feel it! I did feel that using methylphenidate though
>sleep
true, but because of depression, I sleep 11 hours a day without meds, so bupropion could take it down to 8 or even 7 hours, made me more normal. If you're a depressed insomniac though, dont take it...
>The human organism is optimized as is.
No it's not! At least some are not. Each person has unique gene set. If both your parents are a bit depressed, maybe they were optimized, but the combo of their genes you got is simply too much depression and too little energy.
>You just gotta have the outside life sorted, friends, meaning and hope for the future.
Kinda true, most people with shitty mental health also have a shitty life situation. I wouldn't be depressed If I was a millionaire never having to work or interact with the cold, cruel realities of life. However, many problems simply CANNOT be solved and then you just have to take meds until you die. Like, if you're depressed because of a terminal condition.

I just took my first pill which is 150 mgs

I'm incapable of taking showers , cleaning my room , going to class or work and even closing tabs on my pc. How long until im fixed so I'm a productive member of society

Unironically the nona that needs it the most. No wonder why you are manic 90% of the time.

I was depressed for over ten years and not once did I let feeling like shit stop me from taking care of myself. I decided early that if I wasn't going to rope there is a bare minimum I have to force myself to do.
>>
>>83100380
You might see little improvement for the first week or two, my dose got up to 300mg
It should make it easier to get up and do stuff. But if you're struggling from intense emotions like despair, anxiety etc. then you'll need something else against that, pregabalin works for me to dampen that negativ
>>83100754
He's just got it worse than you
>>
>>83100673
that's what normies do with alcohol, weed, cigs
also most problems cannot be overcome, most things are outside of your control
>>
>>83100800
>He's just got it worse than you
Yeah he rolled a lower stat in self control. I doubt he was raped as a teenager.
>>
>>83100806
>most things are outside of your control
Yeah and the one thing that is in your control is your own actions.
>>
>>83100844
Nah, you don't act randomly though, you act depending on outside imputs and how your brain interprets them. For example, my brain happens to like healthy foods and in moderation so i'm thin, while others brain gives them lots more pleasure from overeating so they are fat.
>>
>>83096936
It's great, if you don't mind having a broken dick. I did mind that, so I stopped taking it.
>>
Wellbutrin was absolutely awful for me.
