I'm inclined to believe these guys were just discussing how they felt betrayed by women in their lives or bad experiences they've personally had. I can't imagine going to a therapy group after a rough divorce, and there's one guy there trying to change the subject while you're talking about your wife cheating on you, divorcing you, and how you live in squalor, while she and the guy she cheated on you with vacation on her alimony. Just the entire time he's like, "Hey guys, why don't we talk about football instead?" because he's programmed to only accept a very narrow range of male expression even in the context of a therapy group.
