Hi everyone. I'm not expecting any replies but sometimes some valuable input is given to me here goes nothing:Fact: anon plays Scrabble for 2 yearsFact: I've played Boggle for 25 years.Fact: I know a lot of words. More than him.Fact: He beats me almost EVERY game we play. His racks are INSANELY good, every single fucking game. What do I do? How do I address this issue? Do I avoid him? I'm fine with the other great player there, but not him. Something is wrong.
>>83105622Have to assume your two letter game is weak since boggle operates in 3 letter minimums. He's probably locking down the board state with 2 letter word blocks that has hooks for with his remaining tiles. It only seems like he has perfect tiles because he keeps his hook letters, whereas you're probably burning them for as quickly as possible for maximum score. It's a turn based game with play and counterplay. It's not a speed game like boggle.Engine analysis is always helpful.
>>83105622>Something is wrong.you know, he's probably not better than you, but your fear is clouding your judgement. i remember playing a certain videogame, and there was this person nobody could beat. i beat him a couple of times the first time we played, because i wasn't too interested in competitive gameplay so i didn't hear about him. maybe there's something similar happening to you.
I do magic tricks. For some reason this translates to ridiculous luck and skill to many games.
>>83105795I concur with this even though I haven't played Boggle. My vocabulary isn't great but I consistently beat people at Scrabble when we play with 30 second turns.
