I think the reason why we saw so much 'self-improvement' shit in 2022 is because 2020 exposed just how lacking people are. Before, people would just go to work, come home, eat some shit, watch TV or whatever, and then go to sleep...only to repeat the same thing the next day, and the next day, and the next, until the weekend where you might go blow some money on a stripper or at a club somewhere. During 2020, you couldn't really do that, certainly not in the same capacity afterwards (2021), and people realized that they really don't do anything outside of that Sisyphean cycle. They don't
>read any books
>draw
>exercise
>learn any languages
>write code
Literally NOTHING, and some people felt the need to change that. Today though, it seems that most of society has fallen right back to that same cycle before. It's quite frustrating, really, to be surrounded by hylics and NPCs 24/7.

Why would I want to write code lol? Everything else you listed is good though.

Nah the self-improvement shit is due to women being economically empowered which means being a provider is no longer enough (since govt just takes your shit and gives it to women) so men have to jestermaxx to an insane degree.

Maybe...maybe I like Python, idk. I started learning some HTML in high school (when Myspace was in its infancy), but never really built on that interest (not a coding language, but still).

But what about all the dudes who came up with the [$THING]maxxing during that time as well?

I like writing code because logic is fun. I assert that logic is fun. This is a clearly true assertion.

It's simply because modern society is empty meaningless bullshit.
