I don't want to call myself an American anymore. This country is over and nobody cares.
We'll prosecute people for cyber crime but when the topic of the election comes up you're a conspiracy theorist and a nut job. I can't fucking stand this country and the people "elected" to represent us. Bunch of fucking boomers that can't even use their god damn phones decide what's evidence of a hack and what isn't.

None of the voting machines are connected to the internet or any network. I don't know a single person in my family that doesn't get their news from their phone. Facebook. Twitter.

I've been a newspaper writer and editor since 1988. I've written for the Tampa Tribune, the Miami Herald, the Oakland Press in Michigan. I've been a blogger, and I'm probably the only person in the world who can drive my Toyota Corolla across the United States and write the first draft of this column in a motel room in Iowa, at the local library, on my phone and email, without missing a beat.

I'm trying but I'm in a spiral now, there's nothing that can be done.
Also what's the point in trying to make it better? I'd rather watch it implode since nobody else cares. 2020 ruined my love for hacking by accusing experts of being incompetent.
This country is a hypocritical fucking joke. This is why the white hat industry is a 0% unemployment industry. It disrespects the intelligence of hackers. Hackers only get praise if you're an establishment ball licking leftist.

>I'd rather watch it implode since nobody else cares
Then you are part of the problem now. Others do care, only thing is we don't have a platform to speak from.
>This country is a hypocritical fucking joke
Again, help it heal. Help by making your life and the lives of those you know more stable and happy if you are able to.
Doom and gloom is a helluva drug lol. Maybe drop it for awhile.
>only get praise if you're an establishment ball lick
>implying you only do [good thing] for the sake of attention and (You)'s?
Hope not. You should do what you are able because it's right to do so, not because it's proper or lucrative.
I wish you the best, Anon. Do not give up.

I care, I'm just so fucking mad that you couldn't have a conversation with me at the moment. I'm a fucking nobody but I'm smart enough to be able to read logs and able to tell you that an attack happened for sure. Fixing this problem isn't a one person job. You say people care and that's fine but the courts don't care and the people that rule us don't care. They don't care they just fucking destroyed faith in the elections and in who represent us. I can tell you this, as long as this problem persists I'm staying private sector when I do start making moves. The government can fix itself so it's so confident it can slap private citizens in the face and see no repercussions. I'm gonna sit on hackerone and laugh every time I see a government agency get pwn'd.

Never said it was, but until you have opportunity to "team up" you need to get yourself ready.
And yeah, gov and legal system are completely corrupt. Make others aware of this in a palatable way if you are able to.
Also, the selections are rigged every year, it was just more obvious last time around.
Do your best to right the wrongs in this world, without becoming a monster yourself.

"Under the relentless thrust of accelerating overpopulation and increasing over-organization, and by means of ever more effective methods of mind-manipulation, the democracies will change their nature; the quaint old forms -- elections, parliaments, Supreme Courts and all the rest -- will remain. The underlying substance will be a new kind of non-violent totalitarianism. All the traditional names, all the hallowed slogans will remain exactly what they were in the good old days. Democracy and freedom will be the theme of every broadcast and editorial -- but democracy and freedom in a strictly Pickwickian sense. Meanwhile the ruling oligarchy and its highly trained elite of soldiers, policemen, thought-manufacturers and mind-manipulators will quietly run the show as they see fit."

>We'll prosecute people for cyber crime but when the topic of the election comes up you're a conspiracy theorist and a nut job
If somebody commits a cyber crime like identity theft or fraud, why would they not be prosecuted?
Furthermore, unsubstantiated claims about the integrity of the election are obviously conspiracy theories, and people who believe in them for no reason other than that they cannot accept defeat are delusional. In other words, "nut jobs"
How is this not acceptable?
Additionally, I'd say that the actual net sec companies that looked into the election are not the same people as elected representatives. If these independent audits produce results showing lack of evidence in a hack, that's a result of people who have years, if not decades of experience in network security looking into it, not just old people looking at random 2 minute videos on /pol/ pretending it's "evidence"

Interestingly enough, I argued with this subhuman the other day on vaccinations and he was completely unable to put forward any arguments. All he did was get upset and then leave the thread when I asked for any kind of evidence.

It'd be interesting to talk with you over voice so I could determine whether or not you're actually aware of how you post. You seem to retreat and have no actual confidence in your beliefs beyond a false bravado, so my current belief is that it's just a show you never have to engage in real discussion.

This is the most pathetic reason in existence for refusing to engage with my questions.
You only prove me right with every post you make. You never cite anything, never have any actual foundations for your beliefs, never even have an argument, all you do is retreat to your shell of schizoposting because you're too much of a coward to engage in real discussion. It's pathetic.

If you're so insecure that you can't even back up your own evidence, then why go online and expect others to believe it?
Obviously I'd argue against all evidence you put forward unless it was something which could actually prove your point. Is that not the point of argumentation as well? To argue over the believed facts until one side or the other is confronted with a fact that destroys their argument?

Then again, you've latched onto it by now, and it'll become your only argument against me. It's unironically pathetic how predictable you are.

Do you realize that I'm engaging in discussion far more than you? I'm literally completely willing to discuss any piece of evidence, and I've tried talking to people in this thread asking why they believed what they did.
If my posting style kills conversation, the fault lies with those who are too afraid to engage.
Funny how you adopted my "you're afraid" — I guess that means it worked ;^)
You're trying to kill conversation by asking me to not post, and by refusing to reply to me.
>>
>>10007575
You're posting in bad faith, nobody wants to argue with someone who enters thread and starts posting in bad faith. There is no reason to put in the effort to present everything (You could easily find it without us spoonfeeding you if you actually gave a shit) when someone is just going to scoff and argue in bad faith. You started this, accusing me of not having knowledge of something that I do nonstop is frankly offensive and I refuse to engage in good faith when you're being such a fag.

Who do you think is posting in bad faith. Person A, who simply uses adhoms and is otherwise completely unwilling to engage in any argumentation despite being asked to multiple times, or Person B, who is constantly asking the other person to provide evidence so they can have an actual discussion?
If you're actually smarter on me than this, then why can't you engage on this topic at all? Because you got offended that I said something slightly rude, despite you being constantly rude throughout this entire argument?

Again, aren't people on the right about facts over feelings? Why can't we just get down to facts?

(Again, the answer is obvious. You have zero confidence in these facts, but will never admit it, and you will only appeal to the completely unproveable idea that you're so knowledgeable on the subject that it isn't worth your time. This point is again easily debunked because you're spending just as much time just shitposting and crying to me.)

The one who's a fag is you.

I predicted every single one of your posts from the start, and you'll never give evidence because you are afraid.

>Trump's anti-TPP and anti-free trade message resonated with Republican voters who historically supported free trade. A March 2016 Pew Research Center poll found that “Among registered Republican voters, Trump supporters stand out for their negative view of free trade: 67% of Trump supporters say free trade agreements have been a bad thing for the U.S., while just 27% say they have been a good thing.” In contrast, Democratic voters, who historically opposed free trade, were more optimistic about the deal. The Pew Research Center poll also found that “By a 58% to 31% margin, more Clinton supporters among registered Democrats say free trade agreements have been a good thing than a bad thing for the U.S. Views among Democratic backers of Sanders are similar (55% good thing vs. 38% bad thing).”[6]

I'm just using the first thing you posted, but among the delegates who supported the TPP, the majority of their constituents agreed with it. This isn't something that goes against the public opinion.
>In the first poll, in April 2010, 46% of the public had a favorable opinion and 40% had an unfavorable opinion, with the share of Democrats feeling positive about the law equal to the share of Republicans feeling negative about the law (78% each).
Source: https://www.ajmc.com/view/how-has-public-opinion-on-the-aca-shifted-over-time
While it's not the majority, it's the plurality among the voting base that the ACA was beneficial at the time.

These policies are reflective of public opinion. Even if people you know didn't like it, that doesn't mean the population of voting Americans didn't like it.

>public outcry was enormous.
This is a weasel phrase.
Public outcry could be enormous for any law and it could be widely supported by the public. Public outcry is not reflective of the entire voting population, it's only reflective of people who protest policies they don't like.
>and for the record, anti- TPP sentiment in congress was palpable long before Trump was a blip on the political radar.
Again, this isn't really what's important. You can say all you want that there exist people who disagree with political policies. That's always going to happen. What matters is that these were always reflective of public opinion, not that there existed some minority which disagreed with it.
Nothing you're saying is a debunk to my claims.

>TPP was dead before Trump even announced.
Sure, if you don't like my source, find another source that polls public opinion on the TPP. All I was showing was that support for the TPP was pretty large among democratic voting populations, so it makes sense that democratic representatives would push for it.
If you want to find me a source showing that the democratic voting base did not support free trade at the time the TPP was pushed, please go ahead. That's the best one I could find.

There's no use in just vomiting quotes at me if they have nothing to do with the actual argument. Again, all you really do is type a lot without saying anything that I can argue with. Quotes don't change the fact that the democratic voting base supported free trade, so under a democratic president who wants more democratic presidents, he would attempt to please the democratic voting base and push for policies they want.
Again, all you do is retreat and point out one small perceived slight against my argument rather than try to engage in real discussion.

>and it's telling how you ignore obama care
>and the deafening outcry of public opinion
Again, this isn't an argument. You could say there's a massive outcry to any policy because there are members of the public who oppose it. The thing is, when it was enacted as a policy, it was supported by the majority of the population.
If all you're saying is that people didn't like it, go ahead, I don't really care.
If you're saying it's not representative of the overall population, you need to give a citation other than "I listen to stuff"
I've directly cited polling data which shows the ACA was supported when it originally rolled out, which is what my point is. Give me a single link or a single piece of data which disagrees DIRECTLY with this point.

I know what your reply to this will be though, it'll be a boring schizo rant and then you vaguely gesturing that there are people that didn't like it. The issue is, there are people who don't like everything the government does. What you're saying is pointless, it's not a counter to what I'm saying.
>>
>>10007778

I've never said there's no point in arguing with those who disagree with me. I also have never claimed that my opinions or beliefs cannot be changed.
Unlike you and the OP and many others though, I actually understand the current paradigm well enough to not just accept some weird reality just because it's been thrusted upon me by /pol/ or some shitposts on [s4s]. I need proof if people want to tell me the election was rigged, not just "it's rigged because I said so"
I need proof for how the ACA was actually not supported when it was released, not just "there were people who protested it therefore the majority didn't want it"

There is a line between being open-minded and simply not thinking for yourself. If these people cannot prove a single one of their beliefs, I will stand by the fact that they are not thinking for themselves.
If they do have evidence for their beliefs, I will admit they're right.

Okay so do you want me to contact the FBI about the mafia police who you're afraid you're going to kill you and arrest you for no reason or should I trust you to do that
>>
>>10008029
I don't think there is a mafia police who want to kill me, so don't worry about it.
Are you going to bed?
>>
>>10008032
Yeah but you said that if the police were coming to arrest you for no reason you wouldn't resist arrest because you'd be afraid they were going to kill you and I asked you if you want me to contact the FBI and you said you don't believe there is such a thing as Mafia police but if I knew for a fact that there was are you saying that you would want me to contact the FBI on your behalf and you're giving me permission to do so in that case..?
Otherwise what are we even talking about right now you're making no sense

I am prescribing you two, each, one single use dose of Hugs.
Go on, give each other a hug and apologize for disrupting such a nice board with an argument, that I think could be adequately characterized as “serious business”. We can all agree to disagree now and again.
>>
>>10008035
I don't want to touch or be touched by a Nazi Holocaust denier who targets people he thinks are schizophrenic because they believe in the Holocaust online and then tells people about getting killed by the police so that he can act like he's winning the conversation if that's okay with everyone
>>
>>10008035
Oh gee would you look at that, you two got me so worked up, I forgot to put my badge on. Very shameful times indeed.
>>
>>10008034
I would be talking in this hypothetical scenario, not about any kind of material reality. I understand the difference between reality and fiction can be difficult.
>>10008035
Reading this reminded me how completely meaningless this discussion is.
Catfish/Emma gets his hug if he wants it.
>>10008037
You seem kind of heated. I'll let you cool down and then I'll come back tomorrow night.
>>
>>10008039
Yeah, you forgot. Maybe you should take it a little more seriously?
>>
>>10008041
You're still discussing hypothetical scenarios and I'm the one who's unhinged?.
Okay I'll go cool down and then maybe later you'll stop denying the Holocaust when confronted with factual evidence
>>
>>10008041
Yeah it sure is hard to have a conversation with someone who denies reality out right and then goes and drinks alcohol instead of
>>
>>10008037
I suppose that is your right, and I can sympathize with this line of thought, I just..... ask you to reconsider your level of patience for these “undesirables”, as I’ve found in my practice, they typically end up on this path due to unfortunate circumstances in their own lives. Sometimes, these people can be reached when they are shown a little compassion, even when they spew malice. It’s hard to fight fire with fire they say. Even harder to fight it with gasoline.
>>
>>10008052
You can defend your defunct medical research all you want to do that I'm never going to agree with you. If I were on the jury I would still vote to convict you and until you can accept that fact you're never going to be able to move on in this conversation
>>
And just so Ms. Emma Catfish can be sure I’m not singling her out, catman, it is only fair for me to remind you that Holocaust denial is symptomatic of a very serious mental illness (I won’t say which one just yet), and it is also a grave misrepresentation of reality.
>>
>>10008058
This post seems to me like a magical spell where there was so much power leading up to this moment where every detail could be ignored but this one somehow tips the scale and now I know I I won't waste my time trying to respond to you, because that's my power as I just described
>>
>>10008059
If I was on the jury and I was asked to decide if you were guilty or innocent of the crime of Holocaust Denial in a jurisdiction where such a thing was considered a crime in this parameter where someone is accusing me of being unhinged because I merely suggested that the Jewish faith is valid I would most certainly vote to convict
>>
>>10008058
I’ve accepted that long ago. Until you graduate from medschool, that is of no concern to me. The only thing that worries me is your hostility! Now I don’t think there’s any good reason to start getting snippy with me! I just hate to see people getting angry in a place where, I may have, mistakenly, thought we were all collectively trying to keep “nice”.
“Nicer” by 4chan Standards that is. Nothing personal against you or catman.

Actually Holocaust denial is a crime in certain countries like Germany it's not a mental illness for your information but as you explained in a previous post I'm not a doctor like you so you can't just take my word for it huh

Pic related. For your son
>>
>>10008066
Yeah bro I hate getting angry too
>>
>>10008067
It’s possible for a behavior to be symptomatic of a mental illness and also considered a crime in certain countries.
I should also note that just because something is criminalized is a country, does not necessarily mean the action is inherently criminal. For example, homosexuality is considered illegal in Uganda! This is why I went to medschool rather than law school. Ha. (So I could actually help people.)
Lunch time. Be back later.

I'd rather talk about hacking with other hackers than with someone who hasn't even done a CTF before.

mRNA and DEPT are bio-hacking.

A wise and sagacious decision you have made to be sure.
We are still presented with the predicament of covid as a contrived crisis, as honeypots of distraction as it were.
A deep impenetrable cascade of virtual machines and bogus file sets to prevent us from obtaining root.
The financial windfall benefiting the healthcare establishment is apparent, but this in my opinion is yet another layer of security built in to throw us off during pen testing.
This many counter measures do not come into existence without a strong need to sequester what is undoubtedly some very damning secret
and undoubtedly criminal information and deeds
predating covid itself.

Without a doubt. The predated COVID shit is bouncing around the tubes. Knowing who to pressure and with what is important. If people were to ask maybe information they desire can be provided via means of infiltration. Knowing where and who to ask is always important.
Part of the problem is data on those that would seek to keep us out. This is a SE task more than a brute force task in my opinion. The more information bounces around the bigger the advantage the people will have. The more people that can be put away for their crimes at the highest levels of government the more prosperous the people. Solving the problems you mentioned takes a focused mind able to logic out the appropriate moves and how best to convince others.

Q PREDICED THIS
>>
>>10008530
"Faith is something very different from belief. Belief is the systematic taking of unanalyzed words much too seriously. Paul's words, Mohammed's words, Marx's words, Hitler's words---people take them too seriously, and what happens? What happens is the senseless ambivalence of history---sadism versus duty, or (incomparably worse) sadism as duty; devotion counterbalanced by organized paranoia; sisters of charity selflessly tending the victims of their own church's inquisitors and crusaders. Faith, on the contrary, can never be taken too seriously. For Faith is the empirically justified confidence in our capacity to know who in fact we are, to forget the belief-intoxicated Manichee in Good Being."
—Aldous Huxley

What a retarded quote. There's a difference between believing in something dogmatically and believing in something because it's grounded in evidence.

This guy's quote really does boil down to "dogmatic faith is good when it's dogmatic faith I agree with, otherwise it's BAD"
I'd say believing in anything unconditionally is completely stupid, including stupid shit like Huxley's words.

huxley did peyote, he wrote a whole essay on his experience

It's called the Doors of Perception. He basically normalized substance usage for smart people, just like Freud, twenty years earlier. Freud gave his patients mild cocaine. He offered solutions to their problems, which was sought to be extensively vulgar and outrageous. Huxley dedicated most of his academic career to supplanting those notions of drug use, making them less then offensive. Owning up to his ideology he became a novelist, even.

>Huxley dedicated most of his academic career to supplanting those notions of drug use, making them less then offensive.

Huxley did no such thing. He had access to PEOPLE who were involved in cutting edge research. Sandoz single handedly dispelled the myth of demonic possession with LSD research.
The Church quickly resurrected it.
Huxley knew about serotonin decades before Prozac was even in clinical trials.
Your opinions are yours.
