I'm still waiting for the three to five feet of sea level rise this century James Hansen promised in the 80s. Last I checked it was millimeters per decade and mostly natural. But I guess theres some *extra millimeters*.

They're still on that projection. That population increase is only local.
Polar Bear numbers across the world have continued to decline - the population in your article is only true for the Southern Hudson Bay bears which have experienced 10 additional days of thick ice, whereas other populations across Canada have experienced 3-4 weeks less of thick ice.

NTA but the population trend isn’t known because they’re not an easy species to track population stats of. It’s not totally accurate to say they’re continually declining, but an increase of only 20,000 after a 50 year hunting ban is pretty bad recovery. In comparison humpback whales were only at around 5,000 in the 60s, and have since jumped to 130,000+ despite having way longer generation times. It’s possible they recovered more since the hunting ban and then started declining more recently with habitat loss, we can’t say
