Can you actually become an IT tech just from taking online courses for a couple months?

Meh, just try it. Too many factors. People have different circumstances. Think, use your brain. Find your own solution.

Do anything 10,000 hours to be an expert.

this. to be a tech just know your OS(windows or mac most likely) and some hardware and you're in. google can teach you all of that. You're just gonna be backing up info and wiping comps clean anyway.

If you're still in high school start now. When you get your HS diploma, you can just fuck college and go to your IT job. Pay will be shit at first, but if you keep going at it for the next 4-5 years, you will be making more than your peers who were in college. You'll probably be promoted to a managerial position in 7-8 years, and start making 6 figures. The only downside to all of this is that you will be a brainlet with a job that requires 0 thinking.

The certificates and shit you need don't require any formal education. You just need to pay money to take the test. If you fail, you'll need to pay more money to take them again. Thus, any form of education will work so long as you don't fail the tests.

Once you have the certifications no one gives a shit how you were educated.

I ran a repair biz for a few years and I was never certified in anything.
