why don't they make a PCM-style single player game where you control a fictional version of yourself and race real-ish races with other real riders but it kind of adapts to your level so you can sort of race your favourite races and pretend like you've got a pro career. i don't know if that game would work, i think it could be fun

I think mechanistically road cycling just doesn't make for fun gaming. For us it's about the physical sensation but that cannot be captured with a video game.

Team management and race management simulator would be the way to go, turns out PCM just sucks ass

Something like Steep probably the best blueprint for a single player cycling game (even though it's a snowboarding game). Really nailed the sensation of skiing and focused on the terrain and the history/majesty of the terrain.

Berts, I need your advice.

I ordered a carbon cockpit as the final touch on my TCR, but now I am contemplating whether I should disconnect and reconnect my hydraulic cables to use the semi integrated routing (just through the bars, not fully integrated luckily), or if should just keep them attached to the levers and tape the cables to the outside of the bars. I don't have the tools for cutting and assembling the cable ends and also not for the bleeding, and from what I read I get the impression it's a hassle. But I also feel that I will to do some maintenance at some point anyway so the cost of the tools should not stop me from doing this the right way. What would Bert do? And which bleeding tools would you suggest?

It takes a minute to turn on but that's fine with me, don't want it turning on every time I touch it or battery life would be shit. no, a few months ago
keiser m3 spinbike and a coospo h808 heartrate monitor

wasn't really doing structured training.
>>
>>144553391
So you passed the 220w minute, then failed at 230? I just did a ramp test on mywhoosh on a freshly calibrate kickr v4 with erg mode on. Somehow I passed the 266 minute but I know it's not accurate. All I had to do was keep pushing the pedals as the resistance increases. People call me a wattlet but they're on uncalibrated trainers that overestimates their ftp by 80, standing on the pedals, and calling 100 percent of their ramp test their ftp. Unbelievable..

>T ramplet
According to my ramp test I'd be 200 but I know i had a 150 ftp 2 days ago. I knew the ramp test was bull shit, but you homos made me prove it to you. Cope
>>
>>144556298
i can actually hold over 200w according to my spinbike at zone 4 heartrate range. Your FTP is literally zone 2 power, which really makes no sense. If anything it's probably a question of calibration, not a question of the formula to derive an FTP estimation
>>
>>144556298
If it's all you can do to hold 150 for 20 minutes without passing out then there's no way you're lasting to almost 300 on a ramp test.
>>
>>144556445
>>144556298
also that guy was braggnig about going over 30mph on a flats with relative ease, there's no way he could reach that at low 200s which would be quite an effort for him
>>
>>144556387
>These niggers will calculate ftp every which way except doing an actual ftp test
My kickr is calibrated fine. If anything it's mywhoosh being a nigger . Why do you have a3000 dollar spin bike
>>
>>144556445
It was my first ftp test, like any test you get better with experience. Looking back I did only get in zone 3 hr.
>>
>>144556556
I used the ramp test to get an approximation for what my zone 4 power should be. And if I reference it to my heart rate, it's actually relatively accurate. Which is why I'd be more willing to believe that one of us has bad calibration.

>>144556592
so you did the real ramp test according to you but you didn't even get into the right amount of effort....

The spinbike isn't mine, it's the one I use at the gym (I always use the same one for consistency's sake). Now i know those things can be a bit off, but still I'm inclined to believe that you're the anomaly here, because your numbers are just so ridiculously low.

I said ftp test. If I meant ramp test I'd say ramp test. You probably stood on the pedals or didn't calibrate your shit like that tard who thought his ftp was 320 when it's really 240 kek
>>
>>144556735
oops yeah, my bad i meant to say FTP test, got mixed up

I didn't stand, I actually made sure of that after reading some forum posts. But yes I didn't calibrate because it's a gymbike. But my point stands, it's not the test or the formula that matters, it's the calibration.
>>
>>144556770
Yes and I calibrated my kickr by doing the spin down. I really wonder how much the pajeets at the gym calibrate the bikes there after toasty roasties brap all over it non stop. Anyway I'm getting tons of volume now, mywhoosh has free training programs, I'm doing beginner ftp training every day. Pretty chill, can watch movies too if I want
>>
>>144556735
>I didn't rtfm of the trainer I bought on clearance

320 (uncalibrated) was a 20 minute test
240 was a ramp test

Anudda sign of true oldsmanship, my autocutoff of booze now works also when I am on drinking people gatherings.
Before I have had a threshold somewhere between moderate drunkenness and high drunkenness when I could not take another sip even if I wanted, just a cutoff and go home autopilot so I never got shitfaced but it worked only when I was drinking alone.
With people I used to just pour it in until really drunk and the cutoff turned on when I felt I was going to pass out or puke.
Now the social cutoff works as alone cutoff, a little too drunk and home we go.

Very good, I'm bragging I guess.

It is very dumb but that is what you are at this age, for most people. General social acceptance for booze (I mean all alcohol) and its availability at any time is a big issue.
I thought I am done at around 19, I wasn't even that jazzed to get shitfaced for my 18th birthday but I still did.
My boys kept drinking through up to their 30s, I have seen this is still what you do with people so I was going along with it, to bars and parties but not with my old boys because they were going with teenage shitface custom all the time.
They didn't do a whole lot with their lives but at least they stopped, got jobs and are pops now.

>It's rumoured that UAE has a budget of around €60 million and INEOS €50 million per season, but it is very possible that UAE attributes a larger percentage of it's budget to rider salaries whereas INEOS focuses on other aspects of the sport. The losses of riders such as Adam Yates, Richard Carapaz, Tao Geoghegan Hart, Richie Porte, Daniel Martínez and Dylan van Baarle has seen the results come down overall. Egan Bernal was the team's big bet but right after signing a large contract he suffered a life-threatening crash.

> "What a lot of people forget is that with every team you have your big leader and you build it around that rider. So Alpecin backs and pays Mathieu van der Poel well, UAE has Pogi, and builds it around him, Visma builds it around a couple of guys like van Aert and Vingegaard."

>"At the time, our guy was Egan Bernal. It was Froomey (Chris Froome, ed.), it was you (Rowe refers to Thomas, ed.), and then it was you and Egan, but he was the guy who had just won the Tour de France, two years later the Giro and then signed his big-money contract that took up a huge amount of budget - and justified every penny - and then he got on the back of a bus and had this horrible crash."

> "We definitely don't have the biggest budget in this peloton," Thomas said during the latest episode of Watts Occuring. The Welshman makes it very clear that UAE has much more money than the rest of the peloton and hints that it is difficult to compete like this:

>"I'm not going to go into details, but I know what the team's budget is for the cyclists and I know what the Tour de France UAE team's budget was, and it's not far off. Which is unrealistic. The total for 30 riders and then the UAE... it's a good.... I don't know off the top of my head, but a good 80% of our budget was spent on eight UAE riders. There's a lot of talk about budget, but in UAE it's unlimited."

visma signed Jonas based on him beating the Coll de Rates Strava KOM in 2018
he did so on a Team Colo Quick training camp in Calpe

Both Øxenberg and Aksel Bech Skot Hansen ride for Colo Quick
Hindsgaul rode for colo quick when he broke Jonas' record in 2019

in this article about the record breakening you can see the Colo Quick manager honking and yelling at riders as if this is a pro race. And celebrating afterwards saying

So this is these new and improved diets you guys have been talking about?
Oats, cottage cheese and eggs
kek no wonder they are breaking 90s climbing records.
Pantani never had access to this level of diet science
Modern cycling scientists are unironically claiming to have discovered eating carbs
the more blatant the doping gets the dumber the excuses gets

>inb4 actually i'm not under the illusion they they don't dope. heh doping based
so you watch a sport decided in the hotel room before the race. okay sounds retarded
>actually they are all on an exact equal amount of doping so it evens it out
kek cope.

btw look at the slop they eat at EF.
They have a chef for this shit (female).
