Takerufuji's yusho is probably the worst yusho on record. It's an unironically big flaw in the way the system works that the lower ranked a rikishi is in a division, the easier their opponents will be, and yet those wins are equal in weight to someone who has to go through the entire sanyaku. The guy was M17, it literally does not get any easier.

Only just got back from work and finished watching today's bouts. Some fun stuff in there, first and foremost Abi making Onosato look like a fool. They showed Onosato ringside after it and you could SEE the gears turning in his head processing what just went on. He straight up made Onosato look bad. If Onosato thought his future of pushing people around was going to be easy Abi just gave him something to think about.The final bout was neat. Did you catch just how close Hoshoryu came to dumping Zak on the ground the same way he did it to Kirishima?
