(Classical, Minimalism) Steve Reich - Works (1965-1995) (10CD box set) - 1997, FLAC (tracks+.cue) lossless

I just uploaded this to rutracker but I don't have a seedbox or anything. It would be great if someone here who is interested in this music and has the means could download this from me and seed for a while. I've got a crappy connection and my PC isn't always on so it will take a while.

Contributing with Hans Zimmer's original soundtrack to Interstellar, as published on LP.

File size is ~1,5 GB.

Format is FLAC. Filename indicates sample rate is 24 bit/96 kHz, but VLC says codec uses 32 bit/96 kHz. In either case it's a high quality rip.

And a magnificent score.

The genre "minimalism" to me always brings to mind Philip Glass and his famous Glassworks. Especially the first part of it, simply called "Opening", is iconic.

He's also composed a lot of other great and sometimes quite famous music, such as the musical score for the movie Kundun (which was about the Dalai Lama).

This is a 10 CD set of his music, called:

Glass Box - A Nonesuch Retrospective

File size is ~1,8 GB.

Format is MP3, 320 kbps. Cover art and booklet included.

The composer himself performs in some of the tracks, as you can see in the booklet, so this is how he wanted his compositions to be heard.

Right after I posted this, I found the same in FLAC. VLC says it is 44.1 kHz, 32 bit.

File size is ~3,95 GB.

Has booklet and all, in TIFF format for the images this time, so it really just depends on what filesize, format and quality you want.

Contributing with more Philip Glass:

The Quatsi trilogy.

Beginning with the most famous one – Koyaanisqatsi – this series of films consist of video footage of everyday life and nature, combined with an original musical score by Philip Glass. There is no talking. The films are supposed to show us something about the wonders of the earth and how humans are messing with life and the planet, the full title of Koyaanisqatsi being "Koyaanisqatsi: Life out of Balance".

The world premiere of Koyaanisqatsi was a 1982 screening in the Radio City Music Hall with more than 5000 people in the audience, and it was then shown as a cinematic "film event". It can be watched as a movie, but it would also work well in the background as a sort of video art, or you can just listen to the music.

Koyaanisqatsi in particular is quite famous as an early staple of minimalism, and it has been parodied by South Park among others.

I'll provide two magnets: One for the full BluRay of just Koyaanisqatsi, and another one with high quality rips of the entire trilogy plus the bonus feature "Anima Mundi".

To give you an idea of the topic in the various films:

> Koyaanisqatsi (1982)
Begins with nature, but takes us from there to cities and industrialized, modern society: Factories, planes and so on. Shows the contrast between the two.

> Powaqqatsi (1988)
Mostly video of people in developing countries.

> Naqoyqatsi (2002)
Mostly computer age society (fractals, video games, TV after the WTC attacks, etc.).

> Anima mundi (1991)
The animal kingdom, from large to microscopic.

And here are the magnets:

Koyaanisqatsi (Criterion Collection edition)
> ~49,3 GB
> Full BluRay rip
