>>975894Sorry bro, no sauce from me, but the shit that fell from this man's mouth perfectly sums up the pure toxicity that drips from the music industry in S. Korea.I'll say no at a chance to listen to this genre because it doesn't interest me, I remember a report that the government opened an inquiry on human rights abuses in the industry on suspicious grounds of eating disorders and depression among idols being astronomically more common compared to the general population, given talent companies require trainees to be no more than 50kgs in weight, without adding height to the calculation. East-Asians got a tradition of being cruel throughout history man.

How do you guys organize your files? Looking for a decent folder structure. Do you use the translated name for tracks? For artist names, do you use the hangeul name or romanized name? Or whichever is most popular on Last.fm?
>>976232I separate lossless from lossy and then by country of release. I'm not too much of a fan for romanisation, I try to use the original name or english name. I do turn to romanisation if I can't find an english name. This goes for artist, album. I keep the hangul for track names though.

I've already implemented the middle format (which shaves off 12 characters from the one on the left) for the Asian Music library and it is ready to be uploaded onto my seedbox. After running a file path length checker, no file on the library exceeds 226 characters, 34 characters from the maximum file path length for Windows. Of course, the file path length can change depending on where the user saves the library. An additional 6 and 4 characters can be removed for lossless files (removing the bit and kHz label) and lossy files (kbps) respectively. The autist in me wants to do it but will most likely make the change late next year but I'm curious on what you guys think.
>>980311hmm i kinda like it with the bit and khz

I mean, I guess it's fun making fun of people because of your own insecurities, but you all take to a whole new level. This is even worse than jerking off to pictures on facebook.Don't be a stranger. Just hit me with your best shot. I'm pretty much perfect. I was captain of the football team, and starter on my basketball team. What sports do you play, other than "jack off to kpop idols"? >>992550did you change the main folder from Korea to K?
>>992578The problem might have happened because you changed the torrent folders while it was still running. Just let the torrent run without doing anything until it's finished. Then just remove the torrent from the client and do whatever you want with the files. Seeding only works when the files and the folders are exactly the same.
>>992584How do I get rid of the folders I dont want?It keeps readding them even when they arent ticked (before starting the torrent) in content?

so where do i start if i want to get into kpop? is it anything like jpop?btw i'm not an idolfag, I just want good music to listen to
>>1006443Girls' Generation [소녀시대] and their label SM Entertainment is the place to start IMO. They are the OG's of modern kpop. Other anons may give a different place to start. Girls' Generation were expertly rebooted and reconfigured over and over again, so there is a wealth of variety in their catalog.kpop is heavily influenced by 1980's to 2000's pop and dance music from the United States. we saved their bacon a couple times [south korea would be a japanese slave colony or unified with the north's soviet dictatorship without a little help!] kpop is the pepsi to jpop and eurobeat's coca-cola. they are both asian, but distinct and enjoyable in their own way. even better, you can double dip and listen to the enormous amount of korean jpop.i hope you find something you like.
>>1006443When you find a song you like, look up the songwriter, composer and producer to see what else they've worked on. They are the real artists that either sell their songs to the entertainment companies or work for them as in-house talent. I'd recommend starting with Black Eyed Pilseung's production discography as they're generally good.
why does everyone want on flac?
>>1007077FLAC uses lossless compression, while MP3 is 'lossy'. What this means is that for each year the MP3 sits on your hard drive, it will lose roughly 12kbps, assuming you have SATA - it's about 15kbps on IDE, but only 7kbps on SCSI, due to rotational velocidensity. You don't want to know how much worse it is on CD-ROM or other optical media.I started collecting MP3s in about 2001, and if I try to play any of the tracks I downloaded back then, even the stuff I grabbed at 320kbps, they just sound like crap. The bass is terrible, the midrange…well don’t get me started. Some of those albums have degraded down to 32 or even 16kbps. FLAC rips from the same period still sound great, even if they weren’t stored correctly, in a cool, dry place. Seriously, stick to FLAC, you may not be able to hear the difference now, but in a year or two, you’ll be glad you did.
>>1006443Which generation you were born in?
>>1001732How do you organize you music? (Tagging and Album Art)
>>1007077FLAC is great for archival purposes.
>>1008254I use mp3tag to input/edit the metadata from the files I download. I remove tags that I don't think is necessary and look up information like release date if it's not already there. Then, I run a script that moves the files to a new folder that is organised in the name format I like. This is the string I use but it's not perfect especially with variable bit files and subunits. Select the files, then use Tag - Filename to use the string (obviously change the destination folder to where you what the files to be organised to): J:\Downloads\'[Torrents]'\'[raw downloads]'\'[OUTPUT]'\%albumartist% '['$left(%year%,4).$mid(%year%,5)$mid(%year%,6).$right(%year%,2)']' %album% '['$if($eql(%_extension%,M4A),AAC-%_bitrate%kbps,$if($eql(%_extension%,mp3),$upper(%_extension%)-%_bitrate%kbps-%_vbr%,$upper(%_extension%)-%_bitspersample%bit-$cutRight(%_samplerate%,3)$trimRight('.'$right(%_samplerate%,3),'.0')'kHz'))']'\%discnumber%-%track% %title%After fixing up any problems the script creates, I move the files into the main library. I use musicbee's album artwork manager to embed and link an organised copy in the source folder as Cover.jpg. To find high quality artwork I use google reverse image search. I sadly do this part manually as automating it sometimes doesn't get the files to a high enough quality I like (but it leads to a fuck more human error).I use dbpoweramp to reencode the lossless files to a newer version with a compression level of 8. Replaygain and volume normalisation is applied using musicbee.I then let the files rot in my hard drive and multiple backups never to be listened.
