He made GURPS, say something nice about him
>>
>>93797445
He's on the Epstein flight logs, right next to his known friends Richard Garriot, Warren Spectre, and Matt Groening.
>>
>>93797499
Yes the very uniquely named "Steve Jackson" of GURPS fame is definitely a contact of Epstein
Need a foothold in that lucrative and massive tabletop games industry after all
>>
>>93797499
Did epstein play GURPS?
>>
Why would I say something nice about the man who made GURPS?
>>
File: steve_jackson.jpg (35 KB, 400x400)

35 KB JPG
No he didn't.
>>
>>93797518
The fact that he made GURPS is a good reason
>>
>>93797532
Thats the other steve jackson
>>
GURPS is based.
Its not even hard to play.
Filters storyshitters.
Filters freakshitters.
Filters normalfags.
Filters powergamers, surprisingly.
I don't use it for everything but it's my favorite generic system alongside savage worlds depending on the type of game we're going for.
>>
>>93797510
It's why the Secret Service infiltrated GURPS head quarters in a stunning and brave raid.

>>93797516
Absolutely. Steve based some of the rules of GURPS on research he did on the island.
>>
>>93797510
>>93797516
Steve Jackson, from Steve Jackson Games, has worked professionally with Warren Spector and Richard Garriot. All three of whom have consulted with Matt Groening for various projects. Matt, Warren and Steve are all frequenters at Richard Garriot's Halloween events.
The simplest answer is the most likely, the Steve Jackson whose travelled with them on the pedo plane is the same Steve Jackson they're friends with.
Epstein likely had zero interest in tabletop games, but he did have interest in getting as many people in his pocket as he could and all you needed to be worth looking into was to be friend with right people.
>>
>>93797609
>GURPS is based
sure, it's just tedious
>>
>>93797721
I know you're retarded but it was probably the CEO of ACI Footwear Steve Jackson that was on the logs, he's an investment banker who frequents LA social circles.
>>
>>93797445
>say something nice about him
He made GURPS
>>
>>93798416
gurps is like 20 years old
>>
>>93797499
Didn't knew this.
The Illuminati card game and involvement in publishing principia discordia kinda makes sense now.
>>
>>93798422
Nearly twice as old, in fact.
>>
>>93797499
Do those logs mention where he rode that plane too? Because there's a difference between riding between airports on a private jet (which are rented out all the time) and riding with Epstein and Maxwell to "Orgy Island" like the Clintons did.
>>
>>93797445
>"When it came time to continue publishing the adventures in Runal, we had to update the books to use the latest edition of the GURPS game. This caused many problems for the existing players and contributed to limited release of new material, which was not well recieved. One came to the lobby of our Chūō-ku offices with her books asunder. It was quite the spectacle!"
Based Steve Jackson, otaku destroyer.
>>
>Jackson is often mistaken for Steve Jackson, a British gamebook and video game writer who co-founded Games Workshop. The confusion is exacerbated by the fact that while the UK Jackson was co-creator of the Fighting Fantasy gamebook series, the US Jackson also wrote three books in this series (Scorpion Swamp, Demons of the Deep, and Robot Commando), and the books did not acknowledge that this was a different 'Steve Jackson'.[7]

>>93797609
Also filters anyone who doesn't want to drop their equipment before every battle to not fight with an encumbrance penalty.
>>
>>93798465
That's hilarious
>>
>>93798469
>Also filters anyone who doesn't want to drop their equipment before every battle to not fight with an encumbrance penalty.
based & cddapilled
>>
>>93798469
That's a good thing though.
>>
>>93798426
What, you think RAW was also a pedo?
>>
>>93798500
Game stopped being fun ages ago. Kevin stubbornness is killing the game and new forks appear every other week.
>>93798534
>You think you do, but you don't
Player facing might be alright but for DMs it sucks all the fun doing that level of abstraction 'accounting'.
>>
>>93798541
All those self titled 'enlightened societies/groups' are at the very least pedo adjacent.
>>
>>93798576
>playing df past 0.23
>>
>>93798576
>Player facing might be alright but for DMs it sucks all the fun doing that level of abstraction 'accounting'.
What the fuck does that even mean? I've run the game before you lying faggot it is immensely easy because the character sheet has the thresholds for encumbrance right there. It is literally as hard as the player saying "I leave my bag in the camp outside the dungeon".
>>
>>93797445
He didn't co-found Games Workshop.
>>
>>93798576
The encumbrance rules aren't difficult to keep track of, they put the encumbrance levels on the character sheet. It's no more difficult than any other encumbrance system I've encountered, except on a gradient.
>>
>>93798699
>being this defensive about a game played by dozens
>>
>>93797445
Despite GURPS no longer being a project he's personally passionate about nor a big moneymaker, he's keeping them game alive and is funding further development. A lesser man would have cut the game off over a decade ago.
>>
GURPS is based
DnD is cringe
All other games exist on a continuum between those two points
>>
>>93800584
Even though DnD is indeed cringe, there are games worse.

>>
>>93798374
I know you're projecting and retarded, but there's no reason for that Steve Jackson to leave Austin Texas at the same time on the same date as Richard Garriot.
>>
>>93797445
I spoke with him on his dialup BBS back in the nineties about a choose your own adventure book written by Steve Jackson.

GURPS creator Steve Jackson revealed that he did not write that choose your own adventure book; it was another Steve Jackson.

Was this like a "glitch in the matrix?"
>>
>>93797499
See:
>>93802772

There are multiple Steve Jacksons in the world, and the one of the flight logs may or may not be either the Steve Jackson who created GURPS or another Steve Jackson who wrote a choose your own adventure book or yet another Steve Jackson who did neither and flew the Lolita Express.

Do you mean MYFAROG or is there actually a RaHoWa tabletop RPG?
Also Synninar is horrible but I feel like at this point I might be inclined to try it before another game of D&D

Probably more interesting than most people who worked on RPGs. This book alone got the Secret Service raiding his home

The original may or may not even exist as it had to be rewritten

seriously?

The exact same way every religious organization and conservative group is pedophile adjacent. That's the point, they insert themselves into groups. trying to frame it that way you are is fucking disingenuous.
>>
>>93825639
Testicles are in the groin, anon, not the vitals. And it's different because hitting the testicles of a man with crushed damage makes him roll against Knockdown at a steep penalty. So kicking a man in the nuts is a great way to get him prone.
This is different from stabbing someone in the lungs (vitals).

I have noticed something about Jackson's games. It started a couple of years ago when I picked a copy of the re-released Fantasy Trip rules. There are few positive to-hit roll modifiers in the game. There are a bunch of things that reduce your chances, but very few that can improve them. In fact, best modifier you can get is a +4 for attacking someone from the rear. As a former GURPS player (as are all GURPS players, but I digress), I can confirm the tradition continues - a character gets no active defense roll if attacked from the rear. And then there's Munchkin, where a large part of the game is stabbing your opponents in the back.
>>
>>93827600
Getting stabbed in the back is... bad? Say it ain't so!

Also, a bunch of black american athletes, but they wouldn't be tempted by Epstein's services.

Evil Stevie's Lego Pirate game is the shit and Lego are cowards for getting rid of spring cannon. I played a game of it at a local con with him while we were both roaring drunk and sharks ate half the crew of my terrible Chinese knockoff cutters. For that alone, Steve will always have some love from me.

>>93802908
No, but I have about 600 cards for the collectible version of the card game.
WEG D6 is still a better universal RPG system than GURPS.

More like BURPS!
>>
here's the so called "complex" encumbrance rules
>you get -1 per level to certain skills
>you get some reduced move per level of encumbrance
>it's all already in the sheet so once you create your character you can just see what level you're at based on your total weight
It's basically not any different than D&D 3e
>>
>>93834019
>I don't, I just remember the closest metric equivalent
same
I basically go "a yard is like a meter right" and extrapolate from there
>>
For all the mistique on being complex gurps has, it really is just "roll 3d6 vs target number, roll d6+mods for damage" in actual play.
All the complexity is on creating characters, which, to be fair, is a big hurdle.
It took me 6 hours yesterday to make characters for my next campaign with two buddies.
>>
>>93797445
My problem with Stevie Wonder is that his settings and even rules are very hyper-materialist. This can sort of work for a modern day setting, but for anything premodern GURPS just fails to deliver on the mystical feel truly mystical. Banestorm, for example, feels very dry and postmodern despite supposedly being fantasy. Ironically, two games set in the "Current Year," Technomancer and Madness Dossier, capture that old school mysticism and agent wisdom well despite technomancer literally being about magic assembly lines. There's just enough "lol I dunno" going on with the fae; the only thing missing is that they were too pussy to have the pagan gods and God actually show up, but it's an RPG so you can just do that yourself.
>>
>>93802098
They both have been invited to an Epstein party, maybe?
>>
>>93843073
I never use GURPS settings for playing gurps
I always just adapt some setting I like.
Gonna start running mystara next week.

>>93843073
>Banestorm, for example, feels very dry and postmodern
Fucking what?
>>
>>93797499
Just within traditional gaming, we've got Steve Jackson of GURPS and Steve Jackson of Fighting Fantasy.
Apply yourself, you insufferable tourist.
