>openly tweeting stuff like this when you are famous for paying shop staff and even the fucking Design Studio staff absolute pittances

I get it's meant to be a play on a meme but it's hilariously and disgustingly tone-deaf to their own underpaid staff

They have designers on £19-22k a year when the UK average is like £30-35k depending.

Just seems a bit weird how niggly the Warhammer official account has got recently, like being a bit spiteful about the femstodes stuff.
>>
>They have designers on £19-22k a year when the UK average is like £30-35k depending.
This is genuinely on the employees, who accept pay well below the going rate just to be part of Games Workshop. The vast majority of GW staff accept below-average pay because they have a longstanding personal investment in Warhammer and want to be a part of it. GW can get away with offering less than other companies because there's enough people out there willing to take a poor deal to be closer to something they care about.
>>
>>93818350
This. Additionally the oldfags like Jervis Johnson and Jes Goodwin have big bonuses that new blood designers will never see during their tenure at GW.

Ever heard the phrase "you get what you pay for"? If I worked on bri'ish poverty pay rates I'd also shit those mirrored abominations out in half an afternoon and then spend the next 6 months pretending I'm still hard at work on them while playing phone games and seeing if I can guzzle down enough of the free, low-grade office coffee to brew a shrieking thundershit capable of cracking the toilet bowl in half.

They get lower quality workers that way though. Comic companies in the US employ that same strategy and it has been a disaster for them. Turns out when you pay 15 dollars per page you get the shittiest writers in the world, no matter how much they love Superman.

They don't seem underpaid by the standards of shit UK salaries.
>>
>>93822144
Because it's distributed like picrel. Basically, if around half the population have a salary between £0 and £35k p/a, then the remaining half are spread across the entire range from £35.1k p/a up to the highest annual salary in the country. So there are as many people on each side of the median, but the side above the median covers a much, much, *much* broader range of salaries, with fewer and fewer people at each higher step. The median is being dragged up by the small numbers of people at the extreme right end of the curve, the BBC presenters being paid over £1mil a year and the like

Yes. Looking at the data the UK is slightly cheaper than Canada. I am young and just finished high school and am earning 65k CAD. Which is about 36.5k bong dollars. I am having to penny pinch and budget dramatically to live in a slightly more expensive economy. And I am already earning more than the average Brit. In 4 years on my set pay scales I will be earning 120k. Which is about 73k bongs and by then I will probably be able to live comfortably. So again I ask how the average bong survives if that is the average salary. And our economy is dogshit, our pay is low compared to America and everything is more expensive and we get taxed more. So I assume bong taxes are closer to American levels.

They don't. They're rapidly becoming poorer and losing their last shreds of relevancy. >>
>>93823002
The US is the promised land. I am Canadian and 100% seriously would support total annexation of Canada into the US. Or at least Alberta. I can already imagine the cheap flights and higher salaries. I would be able to afford tickets to fly out to big cities on long weekends to play tabletop.

NTA but assuming Anon is boasting is bad faith. Regretfully, earnest truth can be very ugly in our schizophrenic society. In a world dominated by inflationary fiat money, companies have to secure funds from the government/their goons more than they need to provide goods/services to customers for revenue. Thinking that CEO's are overpaid because they aren't productive is a Materialist mistake to make. CEOs don't make widgets, they do elite vibes. Being with friends/related to the right people in/around government is what'll make you and the company you lead successful. Normie customer bucks are a small & depreciating commodity especially contrasted with freshly printed, or gently laundered, govbucks. Only so many people on Earth have the right Ivy-League-1%er-type connections to make it rain and keep your competitors broke/banned/etc. Additionally, big CEO pay makes your company/CEO seem more important to the people who matter(hint: not you). If capitalism weren't a dead meme, corporate leaders' pay would reflect what they did instead of who they are.

However, companies like this that people 'want' to work at can get away with paying less. At a cost of high turnover and associated training costs once people get bored/disillusioned. You lack experience and continuity of staff, depending on your industry that may or may not be a problem.

>Take rent and a car to travel away and you are talking about £400-500 a month
My car costs me £30 a month for road tax, £100 a month for petrol, and £20 a month for insurance. My rent+bills is £800 a month. My food is £200 a month, and I put £200 a month into a second account for frivoulous spending. That's £250 left over on a £22k salary that goes straight into savings, so an extra £3,000 a year not being spent.

I'm sorry you're shit at budgeting, but again that looks like your math issue taking precedent. £22k is perfectly viable to live on.

I understand that you are psychopathic. It is in itself a punishment, being you, but you will taste that medicine yourself soon enough.

>I understand that you are psychopathic.
Labelling someone psychopathic because they disagree with you over the value of toy designers in society is extremely childish and petulant, but I can't expect much from someone as self-entitled as you.
>It is in itself a punishment, being you, but you will taste that medicine yourself soon enough.
Fortunately for me, I'm a chemical engineer, so I do actually get paid well.
>>
>>93844961
No, you are psychopathic because you equate their job to non-real. When it will hit you, you will know it was coming.
>>
>>93845255
You might want to look up the defintion of "psychopathic", then. Dimissing their nonsense job isn't psychopathic, grow up.
>>
>>93846031
Psychopathic is thinking they deserve to live with 250 quid a month before leisure
>>
>>93818271
>They have designers on £19-22k a year

the UK average is 34k and the uk minimum for anybody aged 21 or over is 23.7k

if you have evidence that they're illegally underpaying adult employees you should contact the authorities immediately

>>93818350
oh my god does everybody know about this? why doesn't somebody do something to help those poor people working for a company that won't pay minimum wage even though that's trivial to prove and enforce?
>>
>>93846179
Lucky I said £250 a month after leisure, then. Retard.
>>
>>93846239
Do the math bozo.
>>
>>93846258
Already did it for you here >>93844697
Sorry that you're both incapable of reading or doing math. But you definitely deserve more than £22k a month... that was sarcasm, by the way.
>>
>>93818350
Correct. If you have talent, and you are accepting far below what you should be getting paid just to work at "your dream company", you're a fucking retard who deserves poverty. Especially if you support current GW as they do everything they can to change the game so they can milk Fink for all the ESG bucks they can.

Hammerfags on both sides of the aisle - those working for GW and those buying products - are some of the biggest fags in tabletop right now, since they support a company which openly hates them.
>>
>>93822282
>They get lower quality workers that way though.

1) Nerdshit has never required nor ever had a high caliber level of creatives involved with because

2) Nerds have no taste and will slop up any garbage. Nerds are the ultimate consoomers, tasteless retards who will pay hundreds if not thousands of dollars a pop for .05¢ worth of plastic or cardboard and ink.

This is why company's like Games Workshop and White Wolf and Wizards of the Coast can absolutely shit on their fandoms and consumers are every turn and still get their balls gargled at the end of the day, because nerds are stupid retards that deserve to get exploited.

That was never a problem, he design toys
>>
>>93844779
Take the L mate
>>
Don't care. If you aren't getting paid enough quit. If you don't, you're not only fucking yourself but accepting a low wage lowers the market wage for a similar employee.
>>
>>93846322
>tasteless
Who even brings this shit up?
Art is all fake garbage. There's nothing of worth being made anywhere and there's no standards to speak of and yet Anon here wants to look down their nose like high culture exists & might be offended.
>>
>>93844697
What backwater shithole do you live in where your monthly rent and utilities combined are only 800?
>>
>>93844860
> find another company that will pay more.
“Go out and get a different job if you’re so unhappy” is and has always been a bullshit non-rebuttal. You are in no way guaranteed a job anywhere, and employers will always lowball wages as hard as they possibly can because with today’s highly educated working age population, each individual worker is both worth less and more replaceable. Aside from that, no, having enough money to pay bills, eat low quality food, and pray to whatever god will listen that you don’t get sick, or hurt, or have to have something replaced or repaired is in fact not adequate compensation. Having enough to not die is not living.
>>
>>93838462
very high iq take, unfortunately materialists are usually of the demographic that cant even imagine an apple so they wont understand abstract concepts like vibes and fiat currency
>>
>>93822866
Underpaid workers do sloppy work and/or leave. If most of your workforce are practically interns, you don't get a quality product. And these things are priced up to the roof. Of course it's GW's priority to make the people actually working invisible, so good job on being a consooming cattle.
>>
>>93818271
Sure ok, but they are right tho.
>>
>>93838462
Understandable but im more pushing back on the pajeet levels of delusion that comes with boasting that your corporate masters are making so much money that certain Yanks love to do.
>>
>>93842398
Visited it once on my Trip to Japan last year. It was ok, Just a slightly bigger GW store than you would usually find in bongland.

>deserve
No one deserves anything both in positive and negative sense, idealistic, goody do shoes mouthbreather.

Either boomer or some extra retarded whigger who shares their views.

Why would anybody bother reading your worthless posts and why you are so obsessed with math?

Think of Ollanius Pious whenever you get the swirlie in the office on any particular day.

Forgive me for the delay in replying, I've been busy doing a real day's work.

I live in a nice little village about 15 mins away from the Elizabeth Line. Let me guess, you're throwing a tantrum that other people put effort in to find good accomodation for a decent price so it has to be a shithole?

>>93847189
>“Go out and get a different job if you’re so unhappy” is and has always been a bullshit non-rebuttal.
Not really, it's more that you have no actual argument against it, you know it's right.
>You are in no way guaranteed a job anywhere, and employers will always lowball wages as hard as they possibly can because with today’s highly educated working age population, each individual worker is both worth less and more replaceable.
Except I've been told repeatedly that drawing toys is an extremely niche and skilled profession, which inherently means otherwise.
>eat low quality food,
Why are you eating low quality food? Learn to cook, it will help you mature.
>and pray to whatever god will listen that you don’t get sick
We have the NHS here, and sick pay exists.
>or have to have something replaced or repaired is in fact not adequate compensation
That's what savings are for. Hell, you could even cut down on frivolous spending to cover unexpected repairs.
>Having enough to not die is not living.
And here we have it, the truth of the issue: you're a self-entitled, over-dramatic child desperate for a luxurious life you don't deserve, while deriding the factually real existing luxury you can already have for £22k. Don't like it, get a better paying job. Can't get one, work up to it. Don't want to do that, then go see how your sad demands work in a real impoverished country.

Now for the samefag:
>>93850254
>No one deserves anything
Sure thing, you retarded post-modernist toddler.
>>93850262
Or someone who knows that designing toys isn't a valuable skill to society, but you've got no argument.
>>93850267
Confirmed for mathematically illiterate.
