Lists of the best performances at the Olympiad for each board are up. Erigaisi has a crazy number because he won every game: it'll adjust only if he draws one game:

Hans hasn't posted anything for the last two weeks. Is it over for him ?

How about you stop shitposting about your fraught parasocial relationships with the most inconsequential minor celebrities in the entire world and instead talk about chess.
>>
>>93921442
Chess is also a sport. It's normal for any sport to have people interested in popular players.
>>
Ding outsides of the Top 20 now, lmao.

What a downfall

Cope, cope, and ending with open self-delusion. Efficient shitpost, brother.

What's the gayest mating position?
>>
>>93925285
no Gukesh vs Ding Liren :(
>>
>>93912080
Imagine the pressure to play on board 1 for the host country.

Squeezing a win out of this position is quite impressive.

Why is FIDE allowed to ruin Christmas for so many people every year?
>>
>>93935433
He is past the line of ever recovering.
But at least he gets a nice prize money for attending the World Champion match.

There is 0 chance that after that he won't announce his immediate retirement.

Her team lost on purpose in the last round, and now they have Haiti. It's doable!
>>
>>93942102
Meanwhile Alua has clutched another match win (her 3rd) as her team take sole lead with two rounds to go. She may not be the strongest in her age group from a pure chess perspective, but you can’t teach heart, fighting spirit, or strength of mind which she has in droves. Souless turbo-nerd calculation bots wouldn’t understand.

Why did the eval make such a huge jump when the rook moved?

Alua Nurman vs Alice Lee!
https://chess-results.com/tnr967172.aspx?lan=1&art=3&rd=11&turdet=YES&flag=30
>>
>>93957386
I was talking a bit of shit earlier but I think Lee is the strong favorite here. Nurman has to be exhausted by this point. But I would be happy to be surprised again. I was legitimately stunned that she was able to salvage the draw today.

FIDE General Assembly day 2; they have to vote on lifting the sanctions against Russia:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vMoBJOp9KIo
>>
Honestly have no idea why I stayed up all night for this or why I’m rooting against my home country in favor in Kazakhstan, but a legend could be made here.
>>
I am relieved to see that Alua did not play the King’s Indian Defense against 1. d4, which up to this point in her career she has pretty much always played against any non-e4 opening. I noticed that a lot of her losses came from getting smothered early in the KID and indeed she has a loss in Round 2 to a ~2000 from Finland in it. She last made the decision to meet d4 with d5 in Round 6 against WGM Yerisbel from Cuba, in which she played a perfect game with 5 average centipawn loss and 99% accuracy.

>no Carlsen today
>he never won an Olympiad
He better start a chess school to coach young talents by himself. Even better if he uses his money to transfer players to Norway, like Murzin from Russia, or Gurel from Turkey.
>>
>>93959374
lmao they lifted the restrictions on U12 Russian kids. Never change, FIDE...

So a FIDE 2400 is only 2470 on lichess? I was told that lichess ratings are inflated.
