It's regarded as an excellent sculpt because it was the first thing sculpted by one of the Perry twins (I think Alan) after he got his sculpting hand blown off during a reenactment by a cannon. That's part of what makes it a classic and it's paired with the excellent paint job to make such an amazing model. It doesn't have a ridiculous amount of details shoved in where they're not even necessary just so GW can sell more paints for you to follow the basecoat - wash - highlight - edge highlight Citadel Paint™ing Method™. It just works and is one of, if not, the best Bretonnian miniatures that has been or will ever be made, especially going forward.
