Serious question: how do you counterbalance a Jumper who has temporal powers? They just pop up in “all your enemies are here” drawbacks and we have a big dumb higher dimensional brawl. For individual jumps though, I just have individual Jumper avatars interacting with given spans of space-time and doing everything in an autistically specific manner when I don’t want to tell a time travel retcon story.
>>94491174Hey Shard, weird edge-case I want to ask about Vex and paracausality. How would they interact with something like Song Science? In Ar Tonelico, literally everything in the universe (matter, energy, lifeforce, minds, emotions, EVERYTHING) is made of Songs. Specifically wavelengths that can be calculated, plotted out, and manipulated through songs. There were four distinct classes of wavelengths that defined the universe-Stable and Active, D-Waves and H-Waves-and the manipulation of these waves in various permutations allowed for not just existence itself but the manipulation of existence-from influencing the Stable D-Waves (matter) to manipulation Active D-Waves (energy) to outright creation of them from nothing but emotions and will (Active H-Waves). The entire thing was refined down to a science...hence the name.Song Science is pretty clearly paracausal. It can generate matter and energy from nothing and overturn the laws of physics depending on one's emotions and will. But it's also very clearly a science with definite rules, logic, and structure that has been calculated and harnessed by machines without any human involvement and doesn't even necessarily require sapience or active emotions/will to manipulate; just manipulation of frequency and wavelengths through specific mediums is enough. So...how would the Vex interact with this thing? Would it be too paracausal for them to be able to grok, or would they be able to crack it and Sing themselves into having always been/will always be?
>>94491203Vex have already been observed doing things like sing in the Black Garden to influence it’s growth and the Black Heart (more examples of which showed up during the Witness’ final assault) as well as the Books of Sorrow reporting Vex figuring out how Throne Worlds work shows they can dabble in a BIT of paracausal force even while in turtle mode, so on that basis I think they’d take to it like a duck to water.

>>94491356Paracausal is basically "magic". It's rules, laws, or forces which are superordinate to the natural physical laws of the universe-things that can create matter and energy from nothing, overturn the flow of time, allow you to swing a sharp stick and rip open a hole in reality. They can follow their own rules, laws, and structure, but to be paracausal they must be SUPERordinate to physical laws-exist ABOVE physical laws and thus able to interfere with and outright ignore the rules of reality to substitute their own rules.
>>94491328best familiar option for that would probably be in Generic Dungeon Crawl, as you can fully design it and it naturally increases its power to match yours alongside a predetermined theme>400cp - Familiar>You have the service of a creature that is unfailingly loyal to the point it is immune to any effect that would influence or control its mind, and the two of you have a mental link allowing for constant communication and even sharing senses. Its appearance, personality, and nature are yours to freely customize, and its powers will grow along a theme you set. It could be a humanoid that develops supernatural combat skills, an ever-evolving monster, or a symbiont that helps amplify your own abilities. Whatever you choose, it will match your own growth and grow in power until it reaches a limit just below the mightiest creatures of this world. Post-jump this cap will adjust to the new standards of the current setting, allowing it to be capable of reaching a level that ensures it will be a valuable ally in a fight. The familiar will always return to you 24 hours later, fully healed, if injured, slain, or somehow separated from you. >A familiar counts as a follower, not a companion. As for abilities, personally I like the idea of a Rogue type familiar that does all kinds of tasks, like making it scout areas or tail people, utilize stealth for assassinations or to steal things from peoples homes or pickpocket them, or to sabotage enemies before a battle, maybe even transform to disguise itself and impersonate others for all kinds of reasons, but I also like letting them more miscileanous skills like letting them cook and clean for jumper, tend to their gear/animals maybe even some charisma skills to do stuff like barter, persuade and intimdate people on jumpers behalf.Otherwise I also like the idea of an evolving familiar that can transform into any monster it consumed in the past, so it can rapidly switch to get different power sets useful to you.

>>94491481I don't know anything about money making in RS3, but in OSRS I personally go for recharging glories for my money making. It takes a lot of money to get started with and there's always a risk of being pked, but it's a good mil an hour and there's always a chance that one of your glories will become an eternal glory worth 4.5m. ... Making amulets from scratch is definitely never worthwhile. You'd be better off buying the gold bars off the GE, since they're always incredibly cheap due to being the unwanted output of the best smithing training method in the game. Making gold bracelets is a cheap, if time consuming, way to max out crafting
If ya'll looked at Kengan Ashura (the Jump) and could note things you actively disliked about it, what would you say? I don't know about out and out doing an Omega update - I feel like that's a can of worms I don't wanna touch ending with people going "put the Connector's stuff in the Jump" and fuck that - but something about the current Jump leaves me a bit discontent and I'm hoping someone has some way of articulating that.

>>94491532Felt like it got the gist of the more important roles when I made a build with it, but kind of like it was missing some B-lister stuff. Which is weird considering that the jump and that Baki crossover are about as far as my knowledge on the series goes.>ya'llHow far do we have to push the aborted contraction - y(ou) all, not ya (wi)ll - past "yal'l" before we get an Old West meets Old Norse setting where the warrior paradise afterlife is called Y'allholla?
>>94491532The thing about the Kengan Ashura jump is that I think it’s well-balanced and reasonable for Ashura in isolation as a story. It is only. ONLY. When accounting for Omega greatly cheapening things like Superman Syndrome while hyper-wanking the SHIT out of Kuroki’s experience (which is really impressive when even Ashura established him doing things like carving rocks with his fingers or training to block bullets with his friend Anonymous) that made everything go funny and wonky, and made Kure the OTB. And like, I feel like balancing the jump to account for Omega would result in MCU part 3-like levels of devaluing everything else once every fuckin’ Wu shows up, declares he has ONE HUNDRED PERCENT GUIHUN and explodes like a pinata full of meat, so ultimately the question then becomes if you feel it’s worth making another jump for it all or not.
>>94491328Flow has the Shadow Beast item which would make for an excellent familiar and can be imported as a companion if desired. By default it can gain the abilities of whatever it kills, can shapeshift, hide in your shadow, and returns from total destruction in 24 hours. From there you choose if you want to import it into other items or make it a companion. For the former head to seven deadly sins to make it a sacred treasure with numerous forms to maximize the number of items it can import into. For the latter take it as a companion in Konosuba if there are enough points to make it a boosted chimera so that it can take in both perks and items. I've yet to see a better familiar in terms ease in acquiring and versatility.
>>94491516>Uhhhhh fanwank, either it happens where you are or it happens in Cathay but you have important shit/people/plans located there, as long as it’s worth 100 CP worth of inconvenience relative to the other 100 CP drawbacks and it’s not just completely handwaved I’m cool with itOne day Dragon Jumper woke up from a very very long nap, even by dragon standards. He was surprised to find that he was a prince in a mighty empire, really fucking cool he thought. His sister who was in charge of the fleet offered to take him on an expedition she had planned, it seemed like a fun idea! Until she went right through a storm insisting that no petty storm would deter her great fleet. She didn't even bother trying to get rid of the storm with magic. Then jumper found himself alone having washed up on the shore of a port foreign town while it was being attacked by Chaos and just as unfriendly to outsiders as you might expect from a town being attacked by chaos. His sister had already started flying home on her own.

Maybe my perspective of things is just being warped by spending a longer period reading Omega than Ashura then. Where I mostly read Ashura all at once since I found the series late, I've been here with Omega since the start, and it's just a different story. You could be right then. Thanks.>so ultimately the question then becomes if you feel it’s worth making another jump for it all or not.Yeah, nah, no. I'm not the one doing it. Pass. Someone else can but I don't wanna do Omega. I feel like it would already be awkward since I made Ashura, and would be trying not to make the same decisions again resulting in a copy pasted format. Needing to recontextualize things and update it since it's ongoing is too much for me though.
>>94491596for real though progress is being made, I always do those parts last. I will have to rewatch the anime again because I forgot the names of the kingdoms...and what mithril does.
>>94491616Nope. They are either already dead, too tied down to one world, or otherwise someone I'd not want to trust my back with and/or spend an extended period of time with.
>>94491596Look, if you’ve written one word for your jump today, then by any definition you’ve made progress. It may not be much progress, but if you write anything then you can’t have written nothing.
>>94490943rwbyreminds me of some cute pictures of Velvet
>>94491616No, mostly because I prefer to keep those characters confined to their games of origin.
>>94491532Whenever I make a build for it I always feel like I'm two to four hundred points short of a build I want, and in my opinion, a build with decent odds of winning the tournament isn't really feasible without stacking so many drawbacks that it isn't worth even trying. Also a lot of the drawbacks are pretty harsh in general. The 100s aren't bad, being hated/ugly/battlecrazy. The 200s are probably the worst, crippling injury/absolute-failure-and-defeat/depressed-and-in-jail-for-10-years. And the 300s which are mixed, enemy-you-can't-be-rid-of/Kuroki/Amnesia.Taking even one likely completely changes the course of your stay and they simply aren't worth the trouble of taking almost any combination of two. New drawbacks maybe? If nothing else, I'd recommend offering at least one additional discount at the 400, 200, and 100 tiers for the jumper's origin.
>>94490943How would a housecat react to a rabbit the size of a typical dog?Nyanko?
>>94491675Would you mind telling me what a build you would want possible with the default budget looks like, for Ashura? Generally I can find quality builds for under the budget (as a fighter) that I'm content with, but it doesn't feel like there's a load of variety to them. I can try messing with drawbacks sometime though. Generally speaking I think most people agree when I say those are the worst parts of my Jumps. >>94491684I mean cats will hiss at and attack bears, so I can't imagine they react too different to huge rabbits, right? That is one huge bitch though.
>>94491711I hope you are feeling a bit better dude.
>>94491723It was a bad morning was all. My bad for posting that to thread.
>>94491638>it’s just a different storyI really do think the “Kuroki-like experience perk” exemplifies how differently Omega treats conflict versus how Ashura treats conflict. It’s not fair to say that Omega is entirely outlandish while Ashura is entirely grounded; things like Julius holding back a racecar were already present. The key difference imo is that the idea physical limitations/battle damage mattered at a narrative level, and that “named techniques” had to make concessions to realism rather than going “I hold down the point of force, now I can grab a katana from a kneeling position while holding my breath with nothing worse than a papercut to show for it” or “I just copy your neck going limp, don’t ask questions just consoom fight” or being treated like super moves you can just spam to look cool. Remember when Advance was treated as a desperation move that makes you powerful with dire health risks to yourself, or when mastery of the Niko Style at all was treated as incredibly rare? Now Ohma can even do that with his fucking heart replaced with some minor acknowledgement it’s not healthy, and people like Fei are just used and discarded instead of being treated like the unprecedented prodiges they are. Meanwhile, Himuro is conjuring anti-Pre-initiative genjutsus and guys like Himuro who’ve just been around forever can just…kind of scale up just because they’ve been around forever, and IN-UNIVERSE everyone is just fighting harder and “scaling” themselves against Shen and--it’s less that the overall realism has gone down, and more that Sandro treats the whole thing as less like a desperate struggle for every combat edge and more like a Capcom C-C-COMBO BREAKER fighting game where you use your super moves to shut down the enemy’s super move
>>94491725We all have bad days. The important thing is that you are in a better headspace.
>>94491657Nah, I just finished fleshing out the items, mostly. Just the perks, locations, origin descriptions, and intro text left.
>>94491746No, yeah, I understand a lot of that. I also feel like they just sorta lost the plot with some characters and moves. Ohma's Advance is just something he uses with a lighter application now despite it and the complications being a central plot point as you said. Agito's Dragon Shot was a one inch punch that he had to position and fire carefully but outputted tons of force, and now that's just what his punches are. The narrative is calling out these great moves so often now that it both feels less special and makes it feel weird when a fight ends to something mundane but reasonable. I get what you mean. I miss the struggle. I like this series too and that fighting game vibe, but it is a different experience. God, do you remember Wakatsuki's fight with Murobuchi in the manga? That messy artstyle? The absolute brutality? Wakatsuki absolutely destroying this man in just a hand full of moves? That shit was nice.>>94491755Yeah, needed the sleep mostly.
>>94491711Sure, I think having budget to afford a perk that grant you analytical/perdictive skills, like All According To Plan, or even a weaker version of it, could offer a mental edge that I usually can't afford. An example of my Warrior builds: Superman+Kure+Golden Joinery - has a lot of power, but little in the way of using it proficiently.A skill based one like my Evolution+Prodigy+All According To Plan+Kaiwan Style Would probably do better, but I might be underestimating Evolution since I'm taking a conservative approach to the boosts it grants. I've also done a doctor build, but that isn't really relevant and I wasn't even trying to win with that one. Also I haven't read Omega, so if there's much better builds out there I'm not seeing or I'm just underestimating my odds and making ignorant complaints, please take that into account.
>>94491675>a build with decent odds of winning the tournament isn't really feasible without stacking so many drawbacks that it isn't worth even trying. One, I’m not sure why you think the jump should be set up in such a way that’s possible considering that the last two contestants, Kuroki and Ohma, are portrayed as the two most skilled/plot armored bastards in the entire lineup (short of Raian who deliberately fucked around and found out). Two, I’m actually pretty sure that’s bullshit. For 1000 CP alone can be roughly as experienced in the Niko Style as, at the WORST possible estimation, Tiger Niko (who Muteba powerscaled to either Eddie-level or just below in Omega) and at best Ohma’s Niko (who Sandro himself would have reliably made it as a KAT finalist). On top of that you can be an actual Prodigy, have Agito’s bullshit via Evolution and Ohma’s plot armour via Undying Dream. Frankly you don’t even need to go into capstones to have a decent chance of winning as long as you have Asserting Dominance; all the 400s + some mutations or a martial arts clan purchase is already pretty mental. On paper, it’s anything from Raian++ to even more of a freak than Bando.
>>94491675>a build with decent odds of winning the tournament isn't really feasible without stacking so many drawbacksDude, what?Warrior LifestyleCombat Experience: Niko StyleProdigySupermanPick your favorite 100 CP perkYou are a fusion of Ohma and Wakatsuki that should be able to cut through everyone in the series like a chaisaw through a plate of warm butter. Until you meet the Connector. And you still have 500 CP to spend, so you can grab Fighting Family: Kure so you can see what Removal does to someone with Superman Syndrome and MMA to improve your grappling.
>>94491824>so if there's much better builds out there I'm not seeing or I'm just underestimating my odds and making ignorant complaints, please take that into account. The most important takeaway from Omega is that being part of the Kure Clan is even more OTB than previously assumed. This is because it turns out the Kure patriarchs have a special funnily-weighted ancient sword in their sanctuary atop the death mountains that’s stupidly difficult to use even for super-strong people. But if you master it, you can “hold down the point of force” which a character that has what amounts to knockoff Removal AND high-grade Superman Syndrome comments on is similar to “principles” right before he’s killed with it. Principles is what the original basis for the cloning project that includes Ohma and several Ohma-like characters uses, and it is flat-out wuxia bullshit like controlling your own tendon output or being effectively invisible by walking outside of someone’s field of vision and knocking them out with a gently shove at the EXACT point of their jaw. Basically, imagine Kaku Kaioh’s Shaori but in a middleaged man’s body and it’s wanked as a Yujiro-level threat in-universe>>94491860You were awesome, anon. You’re truly an unfathomable monster-king among the legends, on par with Kuroki even.
>>94491824I think there's generally two ways of handling the Jump, and that's either trying to frontload a build that aims at winning the tournament or other immediate returns, or long term potential that can grow and scale better over the course of a chain. I think Golden Joinery is best on a long term development build since it needs time to get the most return out of. Superman + Kure is a lot of power, probably the single most potent combination for raw stats, but you're likely better off with Prodigy or All According To Plan to shore up the actual skill side of things. Going Prodigy and focusing your time in the Jump before the tournament on accumulating experience and trying to get foresight on your own time produces a really strong build for under your initial budget, while also giving you some long term growth with the baseline potential there.Evolution is really god damn strong. It's one of Agito's main gimmicks and is like shonen protagonist escalation in an otherwise more grounded series. Just earlier in the tournament Setsuna figures out how to apply the principles of his Rakshasa's Palm to his kicks in his fight against Kuroki which is crazy and impressive and out of nowhere, and Kuroki shuts him the fuck down telling him improvisations are shallow bullshit that doesn't mean diddly in a real fight before pushing his shit in. Later Kuroki fights Agito who undergoes these bursts of development and actually turns the fight around on him at one point because Agito wasn't just improvising desperate, tricky plays; he was actually, tangibly improving in major and significant ways during the fight. That's what Evolution is.
>>94491824>has a lot of power, but little in the way of using it proficiently.I think I see the problem. You skipped something. You get Combat Experience for free. This can be something like "grappling" or "striking" or it can be a fighting style.
>>94491603>so ultimately the question then becomes if you feel it’s worth making another jump for it all or not.Have there been enough timeskips to justify either a new jump or a time extender?
>>94491875Question about the Kengan jump. Can I buy Combat Experience multiple times? Like if I want to know Niko Style, then the speedy boy style and Cosmo level grappling or Hatsumi's Aikido.
>>94491860From what I’ve learned, combining Wakatsuki with anything just makes both move sets fall into jobber tier.
>>94491860>>94491871>>94491875>>94491878Alright then it's my misunderstanding. I was lowballing a lot of things.
>>94491899Omega starts a few months after Ohma’s presumed death and at one point jump’s forward two years from that point. So yeah that’s why I said it’s debatable if there even should be a separate jump. As ridiculous as the escalation in Omega is, it hasn’t expanded beyond the normal 10-year timespan.
>>94489997>DulcineaExceptional taste, anon
>>94491900It does note that clan stuff isn't applicable under Combat Experience so stuff like Rei's style isn't applicable. Cosmo isn't just Combat Experience and would be a selection of grappling with some other skill stuff like Prodigy since he's one of the poster children for it. I think the Jump generally emphasizes a single take of it with how it's also talent helping you grow, and with stuff like Asserting Dominance in mind. I don't know what the full implications would be of allowing multiple purchases, so I think I lean towards it not being multipurchase? >>94491907All good homie.
>>94491532I feel like All According To Plan needs to get buffed since Foresight is just something all the important fighters either have or can counter now and Kaneda made a new version that is better then what everyone else has.
I feel like power creep is a good reason to not make jumps for shonen settings.
>>94491952All According To Plan is actually based on Kaneda more than the general foresight a lot of top fighters have. There's a little reference to him and his epithet 'The Giant Slayer' with the last line.>When you’re all learned up though, you could fell giants.I think something I could probably do is add a half cost purchase for Foresight as many fighters employ to emphasize this and make it more easily included in builds. It's really cool how the series explained the difference between them, with how Kaneda's main flaw as a combatant really is just his lack of stats which cuts into his ability to act on his predictions. Other fighters aren't able to read the flow of battle and figure out what their opponents want to do next as well as Kaneda, but they don't need to do that because they supplement their predictions with reaction time and speed.
>>94491939No problem, I was thinking of a possible build for another chain. Current chain I just had my companions each get diferent styles and then we crosstrained each other. Although I might have to change someone from Rei's style to something else. Probably Rakshasa Palm.
>>94491994>I think something I could probably do is add a half cost purchase for Foresight as many fighters employ to emphasize this and make it more easily included in builds. If you do that, confirm in All According To Plan* that you can evolve it to the next level of Foresight, whatever the name was.*Plan means keikaku
>>94492000Rakshasa's Palm and the tricky dick footwork works well as something functionally adjacent to speed so that's not a bad call probably. Training each other is a super valid strategy too. It's like starting your own stable/gym. Just be careful about spreading yourself out laterally instead of polishing what you have. Also appreciate the line of questioning since I was on the Jump myself and now I'm kinda mulling over the possibilities with Combat Experience myself.>>94492012Nah I'm gonna follow ASA's advice here and just keep myself focused on Ashura if I update and mess with the Jump. >>94493368>So, same case as Onihime Vs?In onihime the mc has a heart condition that both dooms him to sickness and also makes him very appetizing to onis. More specifically, eating his heart gives some weird super power boost and its going to be used to determine which one of the sisters gets the throne. You may be asking why not just rip it off and call it a day instead of keeping the fag around for a year, but its not really a plot hole, we actually see that while the onis are several degrees of bullshit, they would fold if there was a big war against them, also the true goal of the contract was to give the princesses a vacation on human land and have the heart of the mc 'mature' enough to work properly as a booster. Also keeping him in oni world gave room so someone else just eat the heart before the sisters can.

Just got done watching Transformers one and I don't really get the whole Prime cogs. Like Bumblebee, Optimus, Arcee and Megatron got prime cogs but why did Megatron change again after getting Megatronus's? Is it just to mirror Orion becoming Optimus and I'm just overthinking it?
>>94493644You're kind of overthinking it, yeah. D-16 spends most of the movie fanboying about how Megatronus is the STRONGEST and COOLEST Prime and well...he lived up to the hype. Out of universe, the writers wanted an excuse for D-16 to claim his proper Megatron mode in a way that showed the last traces of the black-coded brobot from the start of the movie were completely lost to his rage. So Megatronus being built different and his cog providing a second upgrade was the way to go. I mean, the cog turned Sentinel from a loser clerk to the high-tier regular Cybertronian he was for most of the movie.
>>94493223Kind of looks like a genderbent Tsuyu.

>>94493644This is admittedly just my fanwank, but I like to think that every one of the 13 has some unique power, like Alpha Trion's sand. In the case of Megatronus, instead of one specific power, he was just given way more brute strength and firepower than the others, both traits that are shown to be closely tied to a Cybertronian's Cog in TFO.
>>94493950That just goes to prove Optimus was the most loved of them all, because he got enough brute strength to match Megatron AND an energy mace. Clearly a nepo baby even among Primes.
How well would you say the 9 Tails (Or a tailed beast Jumper who is as powerful as his full powered self) would do in the either the Fate/Zero or Fate/Stay Night grail wars if he was shrunk down to being horse sized and if he was trained by Scathach for a decade?
>>94493950>Alpha Trion's sandYou see I thought that was just "Processor-over-matter" like from the Animated series.
>>94493908Doesn't get worse, actually. Boring-ass generic JRPG system in boring-ass generic JRPG world that just lets you become stronger than god like 99% of every JRPG game. The path to godhood being through alchemy instead of fighting four arbitrary bosses to collect four arbitrary crystals of plot power is neat, yes. And T&A is always welcome.>No meaningful limits, no compelling loreBold of you to imply either of those things is the major selling points for JRPGs.
>>94493957I'd imagine quite well, that power is a good start but the Scathach training will really put him up there for main grail wars.
>>94493834That's because the concept was poorly thought out from the beginning. One comic author thought it was a cool idea, and decided to add in the concept of Singularities without really considering how needlessly difficult it made the jobs of every author that came after. The Shroud is just an in-universe justification for the comics to completely wash their hands of the whole concept and let the writers make whatever stories they want to without needing an encyclopedic knowledge of everything that's ever happened in the IPs entire history.>>94493953Admittedly, Primus essentially whipped up Optimus Prime in order to have him do the job that was originally handled by 13 seperate Primes, so it makes sense he would go all-out.>>94493959Maybe. Well, I think there were some leaks about toys for each of the 13 coming out soon. Maybe well get some more concrete lore from the toy bios.>>94493977It gets even funnier when you realize that (assuming the rest of the 13 are anything like their past incarnations) he's competing against life creation, alchemy, and spacetime manipulation. Then again, Megatronus is normally the "Guardian of Entropy", which isn't really demonstrated in TFO. So it's fully possible they share very little with their equivalents in other continuities beyond their name and design.

It also depends on how much he learn from Scathach, if he has the runes his superiority becomes even more overwhelming. If Heracles had nine lives that could win but in that form it's sealed.

Not to mentions that fighting games in general have a reputation for absurdly convoluted plots. At least in my case, it's also a matter of "someone else will do it sooner or later". Barring settings I'm deeply attached to like Transformers, I find myself much more motivated to make a jump if I'm fairly certain that I'm the only way this jump will ever get made. Likewise making team comps revolves around trying to make gameplay as streamlined and automated as you can to not play the game.>>94493900The Atelier series is a good way to make the most out of whatever you find lying around as well as escalating to powerful and world changing results. Main drawbacks are the time needed per use of alchemy and needing to more or less start from scratch with a lost art. The core crystal system is particularly nice for being able to spam consumables without using them up. Given that it was made to emulate the lost arts of magic and make do with far less mana in the world its easier to incorporate it with other formalized magic systems. The Witches lets you get into free form potion making with the limiting factor being the roundabout methods and ingredients to make them.Full Metal Alchemist is well known already but aside from the hard rules of equivalent exchange, an alchemy circle, and needing detailed knowledge of the processes involved it ends up being instant and convenient. I mainly use it to speed up and supplement other alchemy methods.Type Moon's alchemy branches into classical and atlas styles with both trending towards magitech scifi because Nasu is a scifi fag who trapped himself in an urban fantasy and desperately wants out. A good method to translate mystical means to technology without relying on perks and can get into messing with conceptual effects. Downside is that enough powerlevels let you just ignore such things despite that. While we don't know much about it the alchemy from Harry Potter has some interesting results. As a bonus the transfiguration magic from the same series is very useful for rarely if ever being out of whatever ingredient you need.To Aru's alchemy is flat out magic and one example is flat out reality warping.

>>94493834>>94493880>>94494041The Shroud canonically has not affected all Universal Streams or multiverses in Transformers. Despite supposedly restricting multiversal travel completely, a multiversal Unicron appeared less than a year later in the Transformers Legends/United Warriors manga and the writer for that wrote several multiversal stories for years after. Cyberverse featured multiverses extensively, Singularity Ablyss shows that the true afterlife is still the Tree of Life and meta-Primus, and the mobile game Forged to Fight featured multiverses (in the plural even, unlike the rest of the franchise) all the way up until 2024. Furthermore, Ask Vector Prime directly confirmed the Shroud never affected everything and stuff remains the same in places it has never touched, with implications the singularities can eventually piece their godheads back together. The idea that the Shroud unilaterally wiped out multiversal aingularities (which wasn't even the point or objective of it; the Shroud was made to stop ALL multiversal travel period. If the original idea behind the Shroud was followed, you couldn't write any multiversal stories in TF as a setting ever again) is a stupid thing parroting by /co/fags who don't hate the concept when it's been around in some shape or form since nearly the start of the franchise.
>>94495141Yeah but Indiana Jones also tried to lore drop aliens with the Crystal Skull so it's not like they're off base with other.>>94495144Well that does look pretty, though that gameplay at the end looked limp.
>>94495174So tldr: The shroud did jack shit and any singularity that wants to become that again can eventually do so.
>>94495085Or break it because it it's related to an old religion and Allah demands that all artifacts of other religions be destroyed.
>>94495174*who hate>>94494050Do the Cybertron endjump scenario. You can't purchase Singularity abilities in the current TF jumps IIRC.
Take your gay ass political nonsense out of here.
>>94495188Pretty much, yes. The idea behind the Shroud was "stop doing this thing that's been a cornerstone of the franchise from the beginning so stupid hacks can rape the lore with impunity >:(" and every other writer just went "Nah" and kept doing multiversal stuff. The Singularities and the purest states of Primus/Unicron ultimately aren't going to be bothered by it long-term since the time it will take for individual incarnations to rejoin once more is practically an instant for the former and the latter just don't notice. The only ones who MIGHT end up heavily deviating as a whole are the SG continuity variants, since they're role-reversed. And even then, I think the SG Unicron and Decepticons would go to Primus and the SG Primus would go to Unicron respectively assuming they did rejoin their greater selves instead of remaining independent.
>>94495223Your mulatto ass needs to accept Jesus into your life before it's too late.
>>94495249>The Singularities and the purest states of Primus/Unicron ultimately aren't going to be bothered by it long-term since the time it will take for individual incarnations to rejoin once more is practically an instant for the former and the latter just don't notice. So to a jumper running the Spark scenario it'd be a non issue of non issues since they'd become as powerful as Unicron and Primus working together.
>>94495188>>94495249The Shattered Glass Multiverse was actually revealed to be UN-Shrouded, so the multiversal stuff was fully brought back into play and the Shroud was shown that it's not only incapable of truly blocking multiversal travel, but its effects can be completely reversed. For all intents and purposes, the Shroud did literally fucking nothing.
>>94495259jesus is fake and cringe.
>>94495285>Jew spotted
>>94495273Unicron and Primus working together wouldn't appreciably increase their power any since Unicron is stronger than his brother to a ridiculous degree, but I guess? We know it's not really a problem preventing people from messing with the multiverse or even other multiverses, and we've had plenty of multiversal versions of Unicron since. The Shroud is still treated as canon but basically just in a "Oh yeah, that happened" way.

>>94495322Goodnight dude.

>>94495386It's both funny and weird that we even have so many TES jumps. Might be one of the biggest ratio of source to jumps overall.
>>94495174>>94495249Personally speaking, I don't have a problem with multiversal stuff in TF in general. I just think the whole Singularity idea makes things needlessly restrictive, and unless an author is an expert on absolutely every corner of every continuity (which I do not believe is a remotely reasonable expectation), it inevitably just leads to contradictions.I also think it's a bit dishonest to treat Singularity Ablyss as canon, considering that it says right in the first few pages that the book is non-canon. Especially when the only evidence to the contrary is Ask Vector Prime, a dubiously canon source in its own right. Not to mention that we're talking about a book that was notorious for going out of print almost immediately and being almost impossible to acquire and read legally.Still, I won't deny that I'm not as up-to-date with the Transformers comics as I would like to be. So I can't weigh in one way or another as to what the Shroud did or didn't do beyond what I've heard second-hand.
>>94495208Not talking about americans, I'm talking about how asian muslins destroyed a lot of buddhist and hinduist artifacts, temples and statues. African muslins probably did the same with egyptian stuff that wasn't in foreign museums.
>>94495007>that's also supposed to be in the Warframe universe right?Sort of. DE was trying to pitch Warframe to publishers for over a decade, but kept getting told the market was too saturated with sci-fi. They eventually caved and stuffed some of their ideas into a washed-out modern shooter, but the result was profoundly unsatisfying to everyone involved.Dark Sector itself exists as a video game in the Warframe universe as of 1999.
>>94495426>it inevitably just leads to contradictions.I mean that could just be handwaved away with them forgetting which universe they're interacting with.

>>94495341Unicron is never beaten in a straight up fight in any continuity. He's either always rendered dormant or beaten by the invoking of the Matrix of Leadership, which is anathema to him since it's Primus' power.>>94495344Yeah, that pretty much sums it up. We at least know the Tree of Life for Singularity Ablyss wasn't affected which is an extension of the weird meta-Primus depicted there. Presumably a non-sealed Unicron has his own equivalent to that.>>94495426Singularity Ablyss wasn't said to be "non-canon", the Transformers Legends anthology book merely states its stories are not "in-continuity" which just means that they're not set in the main timelines of their respective series, which is the same for almost all Transformers media. It gets directly referenced in the Beast Wars: Uprising novel when Overshoot finds himself soaring towards the AllSpark and witnesses the Tree of Life. The Oracle (who is often considered an aspect of Primus in most continuities) even directly calls it an "ablyss" in reference to the original story. AVP also outright stated that unpublished and unofficial Transformers stories can still be considered canon and outright canonized an apocryphal work.>Ask Vector Prime, a dubiously canon source in its own right.Ask Vector Prime is fully canon, Gene.
I need some Type Moon Autists to weight in on something.Assuming I haven't been sniped, I was working on the TsukiRe jump. For the executor perkline the other campstone aside from Ciel's immortality was going to be her ability to get principles and idea bloods. Which would translate out of jump to being able to get other one-of-a-kind abilities from other people, like say Cursed Techniques. That said how Roa talks about that ability (https://youtu.be/3OwbupVj9eY?t=12108) and how Ciel uses it are at odds. He seems to liken it to power stealing through murder. Meanwhile Ciel is using it as magecraft that tend to be different from how the actual abilities worked (taking "Castle" as the example) but otherwise those spells still cost blood like all Dead Apostle abilities. So is Ciel doing this because a) She's not a vampire b) Hates Roa and is going out of her way to not directly use vamp abilities c) it's just how it ends up working in the end d) Not enough data.Mostly curious as to how to represent that discrepancy in the perk itself.(Also what the hell happened to this site that it now asks for 300 seconds between posts)
>>94495426>>94495502For reference, Ask Vector Prime's very first iteration was featured on the official Hasbro website during the airing of Transformers: Cybertron. Ever since, its come back in the Allspark Almanac 2/The Complete Allspark Almanac and the Transformers Collector's Club. All of which were either official Habsro publications or were owned and overseen by Hasbro. It's about as canon as anything can get.

>>94495502>Ask Vector Prime is fully canon, Gene. It's "official" in the sense that Hasbro approves of its existence, not that anyone at Hasbro had anyone overlooking the project who cared enough to confirm that everything that they said was 100% objectively canon. In any case, it's clearly you're more informed on written TF media than I am. I just personally think it's a more reasonable assumption that whoever was writing AVP made an offhand comment about everything in TF being "canon" to that multiverse without being fully aware of the implications of that, because in 99% of cases it doesn't matter. What we're talking about is one story in a book that barely anyone got to read that opens up with an Author's note saying:>But remember, none of the stories in this volume are part of continuity. In other words they don't count for future "facts" in the Transformers universe except as they should: these stories are for fun, giving us the chance to read about characters we've come to love. Enjoy the journey!Still, I have to agree with the TFWiki editors that it's such a clusterfuck of contradictory statements that it's probably best to leave it up to the individual to decide whether they believe Legends should be canon or not.

>>94496253Omniscient Reader's Viewpoint>Beast Lord -200cp There are plenty of monsters to be found in this world. They’re even graded with numbers, with grade 9 monsters being the weakest while grade 1 are the strongest. Unsurprisingly, some people endeavor to tame them to command them in battle. These people are called tamers, and with this purchase you’re among the most powerful of them. Or at least, you will be. Your Taming skill granted by the Beast Lord Attribute you now have has immense amounts of potential if you train it, eventually being capable of taming even the natural disasters that are tier 1 monsters. Your taming abilities even grant you the Diverse Communication Skill, letting you even talk to your beasts and also anything that can communicate at all, even being able to have whole conversations without speaking or gesturing when you max it out. As a small bonus, you also gain a pocket dimension where you can store any number of monsters you’ve tamed, able to let them pour out like a horde at any time you want by creating golden portals for them to pass through.

Oblivion is a great game but it's also extremely hit-or-miss with people, mostly due to its extremely different ambience from both Morrowind and Skyrim. Playing Oblivion is hard to describe. It's like all of Cyrodiil is just inexplicably this cartoonish, satirical parody of the entire setting of Tamriel. >>94497054>Could we get a time extension drawback as well? As a game tester for the time, you can have several decades to explore. But I can add a larger time extension if you like, If you wanted to be a Digi-HUman instead there is the option to just reincarnate over and over through sever thousand years and have several lifetimes to explore and have fun. It wouldn't give you stats for the final run, but it could still be fun. >Noted. Personally I think X7 was more interesting, but I can see how that could pose a challenge.Yeah, game balance with skewed time can be a problem when it causes others to wait for days and says for someone to go eat a single meal. And with more world ending threats near the end of each testing phase, your old items might end up in museums as ancient artifacts. >>94497654>Just the time difference would mess with your ind some. Even if the constant fighting int he game world doesn't get to you. There’d be some body confusion as well. Since I’m a Spirit Warrior who’s staying transformed I’d spend a month as a Digimon, then half a day as a human.>How many people would follow Demon's promises of making it so all of the testers could stay forever if they helped him?Honestly, I could see a number of them doing that just because of what Alterworld Earth is like.
>>94497676I've always suspected Sonic X in Japanese is peak Sonic media if you can get past Chris, but I just can't get past Chris.
>>94496408there appears to be a pricing error for the contracted servant item where it says it's 200cp but I'm pretty sure it's meant to be 400cp
>>94497762You actually pay attention to prices? I just give myself an unlimited budget.
>>94497538Second anon. If you're first within your first 10 jumps and have blatant superpowers you better be able to survive being targeted for dissection by every superintelligence with a web scraper. Reminder: arbitrarily good hacking and instant transport effects are both very possible in EP (see: basilisk hacks; Pandora Gates, q-bits)
>>94497739What did Chris-chan do to it?
>>94496408There appear to be no 50cp options other than the campanion options meaning it's possible to end up with 50cp left over. Also I feel like charging an extra 50cp to make the slime or camp follower guy proper companions feels unneeded given you're already paying 200cp or 400cp for them respectively.
>>94497782You're probably joking but X has been out of the zeitgeist for long enough that you may not know the annoying human protagonist they forced into it is also named Chris. Some sort of cosmic curse there, clearly.
>>94497698Now imagine the body dismorphia for just the normal people. Even they would look different and have problems. Cripples can walk, old people are young and so on. >Honestly, I could see a number of them doing that just because of what Alterworld Earth is like.It is a shitty world and these people would be doing a potentially dangerous job testing this world. But the end measures to break free were starting a digital rabies virus and unleashing it to kill everyone not on his side. That means your own Digimon and friends would be killed or converted. That is a horrible way to build a new home. Basically promising the people the ashes of this world so he can escape and do more damage. It is never wise to trust a demon. But that could be a reason for why so few people survived that last fight. Imaging the traitors on the defender's side and the infighting. Or those that are part of the testing and know they are dying already from some disease and it might be their only chance to live. So many interesting plot points could be had if players learned it wasn't really a game anymore and had the potential to affect the real world. Then imagine finding out there is a small group of people that have known from the first day and been fighting to foil plots to kick start the perma event. There are reasons to be evil and sell your soul for a new life.
>>94497407No, I don't like recordings
>>94497788Nta, but giving them 600CP to spend is a pretty notable difference as that can turn them into legendary beings, when the default options are rather mundane. It's not like you're just paying to make them companions
>>94497602>MarioPaper Mario (N64)>ZeldaOcarina of Time>Pokemon3rd gen (that's a jump now, right?)>SonicSonic and the Black Knight)
>>94496280Eva
>>94497840That jump starts with an N.
>>94497835>Sonic and the Black KnightIt's a real shame that story was in a video game.
>>94497851
>>94497550Mario jumps, Sonic runs.
>>94497606reddit had one but I didn't like the item section
What would change about the Skaven if turned into a race of cute rat girls?
>>94497806>Cripples can walkThey might have it the worst. Imagine what it’d be like to spend a decent amount of time in the game walking about like normal, then you get out, go to stand up, and your legs don’t work.>But the end measures to break free were starting a digital rabies virus and unleashing it to kill everyone not on his side. That means your own Digimon and friends would be killed or converted. That is a horrible way to build a new home. Basically promising the people the ashes of this world so he can escape and do more damage.Yeah, finding that out is the part that would convince my jumper that Demon has to be stopped. Well, that and the meta knowledge that the perma event will happen anyway.>But that could be a reason for why so few people survived that last fight. Imaging the traitors on the defender's side and the infighting.Really puts Holy Angemon: Priest Mode’s concerns about Glitch during the end of Beta Part Two in a new light.
>>94497883>"I was once a man...">"But you're a woman!"
>>94497607I mean, the simplest thing you could have done would be to pick up the Ninshu perk in Naruto so you can share chakra with others and teach them how to mould it out of their own stamina
So this gets asked a lot probably but any good underappreciated vampire settings? Need some fresh ideas.
>>94497929Like ones we have jumps for only or even ones we dont? Cause death loot and vampires is great. Nightlord was an ok series for the first two books.
>>94497938I presume all media has a jump and if any given thing doesn't, it's on you as a community.
>>94497929I know what you're gonna say, but swallow your kneejerk reaction for a moment.Twilight.Vampires in Twilight are actually pretty unique-they're more like crystalline blood-powered golems than anything, and the vampirism actively enhances any unique psychic abilities a person normally possesses. They've also got a whole lot of unique powers all their own and have ridiculous survivability, if that's something you're interested in. And while the actual story itself is hot trash, nothing actually compels you to stay in the vicinity of the main story; you could just go out there, write your own interesting sparkly vampire tale where there is actual conflict, actual interesting things, and ignore all the bullshit going on in that one very tiny town with the very dumb lady and very dumb vampire clan. Go to vegas! Live it up! Get involved in the life of crime! Fight other vampires that are involved in Vegas's nightlife (if you assume they exist)! Or don't; I'm not the writer of your chain.
>>94497938I was thinking more settings we have Jumps for aye.
>>94497788As the anon said, getting them 600 CP in the jump itself is a fairly significant boost in terms of their potential since the slime is priced around being a moving garbage can/roomba and the servant is priced around essentially being a menial slave in all but name
>>94497895I mean yeah and thats a valid way but I was mainly looking to make it into ki techniques. Though I do suppose it wouldnt matter too much since any new people coming in could learn ninshu, they would never have the family bloodline abilities but learning our palm techniques would be doable. I feel like tsunade seal technique would be particularly good with ki though. Having a backup resevoir to help wifh bottlenecks or bad situations.
>>94497955Twilight could work. I don't know much about the setting and the jumps pretty danm old but you've got a fair point if its true.
