How does an Ork population get from a planet to space? Do NOT say 'Muh Freebooterz arrive'. What if there AREN'T any around? Could a few feral tribes on a planet advance to become technologically capable (as far as Orks go), and then their meks build little void-capable rockets and transport vehicles? A basic gap-bridger that allows a small number to infest an asteroid belt, and begin building shanty-town void ports, which then generate kroozers and roks, which then, as a WAAAGH builds, facilitates them to other systems? Is that feasible or established in the lore?
>>96929859They build ships and leave the planet. Orks have instinctive understanding of technology and will grow mekboyz as they scale up.>Could a few feral tribes on a planet advance to become technologically capable (as far as Orks go),Yes. This is what they do. Orkz are weapons and they can access an increasing amount of their genetic memory as they progress in a WAAAGGHH and group up. Eventually they'll build spaceships and leave.
>>96929859I dunno, ask /40kg/
Orks are the worst part of 40k desu and should be retconned or something
>>96929859Orks do have technological capabilities in their own right, they can and do build their own spaceships and warp drives. Their Mekaniaks have innate knowledge coded directly to their DNA, which is why their weapons tend to follow familiar patterns and styles despite the ramshackle construction, they're all working from the same instruction manual. Navigation of ships is achieved via the Waaagh! Effect - they want to go somewhere where there'll be a good scrap and the warp takes them there.
The hoomies can do it, so the Boss sees that and asks his brainiest git to make him one of those. The very smart boy hot glues a bunch of seemingly random components that look like ship internals, trusting his instincts that each piece is the right one. He then hooks it up to the power outlet and announces proudly to the boss that he's done.
>>96929859they used 1960's rocket tech, launch at the nearest meteor that happens to pass and drill into it until they can install thrusters. There's old lore that they would use giant chain harpoons to make the meteor stay near the planet until they had enough orks and grots on it to build.
>>96929859In the lore: feral ork tribes that pop up after orks sweep through somewhere get "kultured" by one of the clans (Goffs, Evil Sunz, Blood Axes etc) they first encounter or, if theyre unlucky, Freebooterz.
>>96930880Orks are the best part of 40k and everything else wishes they were as fun as them.
>>96930880secondary tourist scum spotted.
>>96929859Orks are easier to understand when you realize they are basically a biological weapon with a funny accent they are made to kill things, get stronger as they kill things, grow smarter as more of them get stronger, reach an apex where they kill everything, then once there is nothing left to kill, they either kill each other or die out to total retarded level again leaving you without an rebellious population look to Krorks, we still dont know much about them besides they were build to kill necrons and Ctan along side the eldar, if the eldar were meant to be long term psychic warriors the orks were the shock troops made to wage the wars of attrition as long as was needed to scrap every cron' on a planet then what? the old ones come by in a big minivan load them up and ship them to the next warzone? they call up the eldar for a lift through the webway? or are they left behind to slowly die out through lack of stimulation. as for ferals building stuff it all depends on their level of stimulation, if ferals get a chance to fight constantly like on Gorkamorka? totally could see them getting to the point where they start getting smart enough for morky orks to appear, mekboys weridboyz, etc.from there its just a matter of gathering enough scrap to make a rocket one last thing that spreads orc spores are imperium ships, any spores from orcs grow new orcs so if ships or troops dont follow proper protocol to purge spores then given a few decades orc spores can grow to make orcs on a new planet even without the orcs needing to do anything
>>96929880/tg/ isn't a valid replacement for actually playing games. If you make time to interact with friends, you'll be a far salty faggot.
>>96929859>What if there AREN'T any around? Could a few feral tribes on a planet advance to become technologically capable (as far as Orks go), and then their meks build little void-capable rockets and transport vehicles?Thats literally what Gorka Morka is about. You are fighting over the tickets to ride off on a spaceship a mek is building.
>>96929859>Could a few feral tribes on a planet advance to become technologically capable (as far as Orks go), and then their meks build little void-capable rockets and transport vehicles? That's exactly what they do, anon. That's straight-up canon. They outright have genetic programming that ensures that enough of their populace naturally develops an affinity for mad science technology, which eventually crescendos into a space age race that enables orks to reach the heavens if other orks don't reach them first.
>>96929859>Could a few feral tribes on a planet advance to become technologically capable (as far as Orks go), and then their meks build little void-capable rockets and transport vehicles? Dis git don't got no tiket.
