>the princess falls in love with a commoner
>the commoner is a fat ugly bastard that has a 12 inch cock which has not known the sensation of proper hygiene.
>>96944202This but when the ladyknight is in a lesbian relationship with the princess. I’m exhausted on ladyknights and princesses getting together. I need some big girls being cute around boys and I need noblewomen fussing with their hair when the hunk’s around, like that scene in Dunk and Egg.
>>96944202Is it that strange that she doesn’t want to marry her second cousin 25 years older than her? The commoner (not that it’s going to be a peasant, it’ll be a knight almost all the time) isn’t desired for their personal qualities, it’s because they represent an escape from the princesses’ predetermined life as a political pawn.
>>96944311Except all the nice things that she gets in her life, her food, her palace, her looks, her dresses, everything that everyone likes about princesses, comes from her being that political pawn.
>>96944321>woman>wants to have her cake and eat it tooSounds about right
>>96944541Yes, because men never want that too.
>>96944255Women are adorable and nothing quite hits my hnnng button than seeing a tall lady still being just as feminine as any other woman when it comes to guys. Bonus points if there's an influential clique of noblewomen that are ultra-thots that will snub people upstart for not having the latest, prohibitively-expensive fashion stylings that are just the same hair and clothes as each other in different colors that she outdoes in courting with a humble personality.A real red flag is "women should be written/RP'd as men without responsibility." Women have different priorities and responsibilities than men do, usually involving emotional appeals to an authority, making things (themselves, a home, fashion) look nice for someone to take notice of their efforts (either a love interest or peers), and both organizing and distributing resources ("women be shopping"/buying groceries and cooking food for the group). My WHFRP Scout is concerned for peace, trust, and public appearance, while refusing to compromise on her moral standards and willing to guilt a person that doesn't meet them. She wants love, but can't find it because men in grimdark settings have no integrity. Instead, her instincts to protect and teach those that don't know better are imposed upon the party and those they interact with.My D&D Barbarian likes to cook and seek justice. She's also torn between wanting to be seen as a tough gal that can rip a dragon to shreds and also wanting to not be so feared that she can't be trusted to be a kind person that tries on new clothes with her friends, snuggles cats, and performs triple-bypass surgery for free. She's very blunt about not being at all interested in the backstory NPC that she constantly fights with, and DM shut off the campaign right after she hit it off with the cute young man running the soup kitchen next door.
Do people even include princess love plots in their actual games?
>>96945251As the pcs
“My character is a half-tiefling, half-Dragonborn, half-elf who is a priestess of the God of Love and also a bard”
>>96944714Yes.
>>96945652Said the stupid person.
>>96944202>the commoner rejects the princess in favor of a peasant girl who's actually nice to him (it's the baker's daughter who constantly smells like vanilla and has huge knockers)
>>96944223fpbp
>>96945401That's three halves in one person, but since she's fat enough to take up two whole seats in the movie theater (one seat for each of her oozing cellulite dimpled hamhock legs + the associated butt cheek), I can't argue with her logic.
>>96945251Do heiress to merchant families count?
>>96945251I wasn't going to, but of my players (only woman at the table, even) pushed for a romantic subplot. I didn't really get it, but she seemed pretty pleased with how things turned out, so it was whatever
>playing a princess character who ran away from home>Over the course of the campaign she has a spouse>Switch between systems (from DND to pathfinder)She gets dragged from her old world and dropped kicking and screaming in a parallel timeline where she's no idea if he even exists>People recognise her as someone who hasn't left home>She finds out later that she's up the duffIt's pretty fun to play a character who's in a complete fish out of water situation where she has to relearn how to be a noblewoman, but also hide that she's not the one the public thinks she is
>>96944202>Guy decides his character is going to be based entirely around mind controlThank fuck the DM saw where that was going and denied that almost immediately, the dude has never played a character that wasn't a massive horndog and every encounter with anything remotely female quickly gets derailed into him trying to fuck it.
>>96944202>character has animal companion (not the rule supported familiar kind) that they intend to force into every interaction, then cry when something happen to it>character has elaborated backstory with many plot hooks, but personality of introverted jaded cunt that refuse to communicate with PCs and NPCs>newbie player that designs character with debilitating handicap (deaf, mute, etc.)>characters that wants to manipulate other characters, but player has emotional intelligence of dead fishBut to not shit on players only:>GM presents new game as "political cloak and daggers game with intrigues and conspiracy">GM insists on using his own "re-balanced" version of system>GM requests fully developed characters, then strips them of all agenda/gear/skills/abilities in first session>GM introduces GMPC at start of first session that always resolves situation where characters fails "to keep the story going"Now I am not sure if these are red flags, or more that guy things.

>>96944202Yeah, this is unrealistic.>this woman of power and privilege would absolutely leave her pampered life behind to marry a working schlub and not sell as many people out as necessary to maintain her power

>>96946532>>96945401A tiefling is technically a modifier that’s added on top of another race. Think of it as just another adjective. So what is generally called a tiefling is going to actually be a human tiefling, but they exist for other races as well. So you have>parent one - Either a dragonborn tiefling or an elf tiefling>parent two - A dragonborn or an elf, whichever wasn’t from parent oneAnd then yeah a bard cleric multiclass can work, and love and music fit pretty well together so that’s fine.
>>96945401honestly if they looked like that irl I'd plow that slampig
>>96945251Yeah my game has it, sort of.>gunpowder fantasy campaign>main PC is a magitech inventor>his sister is 16 and really into his inventions>he comes back from an expedition for ancient artifacts>she is suddenly betrothed to another house>this is to make an alliance so another royal house doesn't get the idea of starting a war>she doesn't want to go through with it, although it's not to like it's to some gross old man thankfully>main PC begrudgingly tolerates the union of his favorite sister to some foppish noble scion>after the wedding, they fly to their honeymoon, but the ship is blatantly attacked by two airships of that third house, sparking the war>the baron of said house claims he didn't have anything to do with it, but believes that the main PC's house set up the whole thing to have a reason to attack him>main PC manages to rescue his sister with a DaVinci style magic glider, saving her and her husband from the burning airship>they're sent to a hidden castle for safekeeping as the war rages
>>96950077>t. Guy who has never had a fat attention whore join his game. They are nothing but trouble.>>96950080And this right here is why they are trouble, because it’s almost guaranteed that two or more guys are going to boner up and try to get into her pants.

>>96948504What are you doing here, puppetfriend? There are forty years of pili for you to catch up on.
>>96951040Nah, we dodged a fucking bullet from what I was told. I was out of the country when it happened, but from what I was told second hand.>guy gets his mind control character>like we expected, he pretty much exclusively used it for sex>apparently mad the GM kept fading to black, which sound accurate ime with him>kept arguing he should get bonuses with his mind control to anyone sexually attracted to men until the GM caved and gave it to him>then randomly out of the blue claimed that bonus should also apply against children>GM slams his foot down there, kicks him out of the group>talks to the store owner, the player is now banned from every entering the store again for life

>>96981238Don't ignore what royalty used to be like, anon. They would kill you for saying a single word to a princess if they didn't like you. I try to keep that energy.
>>96981301Not every monarch was like that. There were plenty of nobles and royals who would deal with commoners on a regular basis, even having the put into important positions of power (Thomas Becket for instance). Sure, marriage between commoner and nobility (let alone royalty) was rare but would happen (particularly if it was an invading force that had no qualms about multiple wives and such). Nowadays nobles and royals marrying "the common folk" is seen as "cute" and worthy of the gossip pages on those shitty magazines at checkout stands, but in a fantasy setting, nothing 100% forces the hand of the one making the world from excluding it to any degree because even our own history says it happens from time to time.
>>96944223>Commoner levels up into a Rapemaster
>>96981440It's still fire, and when you're attempting to create realism in a fantasy game, the safe bet is to run the royalty as obnoxious shits that will behead you for looking at their squire wrong. I will argue it really adds to campaigns, although a princess stepping out of her role to be common from time to time is really fun if done correctly.
>>96944321She's a princess, she's not falling in love with Johnny Dungfarmer; she's falling in love with Chadicus Moneybags, heir to the Moneybags trading family whose worth more than half the nobility combined.
