>>96951175>Maybe next editionI've been telling myself that every edition since I joined the hobby for all my armies.>TQHappy for nurglebros. It all looks so good. Shame that the old Blightkings kit has to go, though.
>>96951175>There's still a bit of weekend left to discuss the reveal show, so let's do that.I couldn't be more happy as a nurglebro, I hope that other factions get this type of release too. Fingers crossed for fyreslayer and ogor frens.
>TQIm looking forward to playing dark water, or at least painting up the minis. Dont know if Im gonna collect a full ass army just yet. Not really in a rush for that, but I do hope sylvaneth gets something beyond a pity hero.
>>96951267Nurgle's not too bad to get into, they're about as close to Custodes as you can get in this fuckin' game.
Next year release schedule guessing
>Using the blood of tainted arachnids and other transmutative ingredients, varanite being amongst the most prized, the expert stalkers and trappers of the Brood perform profane rituals and employ bubbling potions to rewrite the laws of the flesh. Specifically, they are interested in inducing mutations that mirror the sacred spider‑form. Their most infamous trait, however, is the unity in which they act — almost like a psychic gestalt. Whatever the source of this phenomenon, it allows the Tarantulos to commune with the spiders that inevitably accompany them. Many enemies have been overwhelmed by these creatures, either brought down by hundreds of tiny venomous bites or feasted upon by creatures swollen to a terrifying size.Would you join the psychic gestalt?
>>96951175>OP picI unironically think they're going to get soft squatted and replaced with proper Dark Elf knock-offs. I've literally never seen anyone play them ever except for competitive players and their boxes have been rotting on the shelves at every LGS I've ever visited.
>>96951332Man you have no idea how much it annoys me to be reminded of AoS content from just a few years back and then remembering that all the YT video content was delisted for no explicable reason.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7hFahk6gyRYhttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FjpRi1B-ugk
How do the Helsmiths breed? Do that marry?
>>96951394Presumably they fuck and suck just like other duardin do.
>>96951394they mention marriages and childbirth in the battletome, yes. they're biologically dwarfs
>>96951175Why would they have more akhelian infantry when the role of cannon fodder is the lot of the namarti?
>>96951394You fuck that plump mommies they have is a shame those go to war too
>>96951394after being an incredibly small population in fantasy i imagine hashut learnt his lesson and went full shinzo abe and told his new chorfs to have sex
>>96951370Warcry dead is a lost for this game, specially considering the amount of cool miniatures that died there
>>96951175>picPersonally I'd like to see some client races. I mean they're an empire. The first thing they did after fleeing Teclis was to carve out lebensraum on the ocean floor. It could be fun if they got some units to represent subjugated denizens of the deep sea. Maybe there are creatures who aren't hostile but whose souls aren't well suited for reaping. Or sea witches who bartered knowledge for safety. Or whatever.
>>96951461the models being so cool and unique is probably what doomed it, they're not like Kill Team where they fit the vibe of the full army. Like Cypher Lords, don't fit any Chaos army. Wrecka Crew, absolutely slots in with the rest of Orks
>>96951461What the fuck are you trying to say
>>96951588Tbf they tried doing the kill team thing with gorgers and the little hunting squad for cities and people bitched.
>>96951588Cypher lords are literally just Kairic acolytes with bondage harnesses and chestplates
I need the scans for the HoH battletome, helsmiths of hashut is a friend long love from the past and he ask me to do a battlemat based on that army and I kind of need the battletome to see what kind of stuff they use for decoration etc.
>>96951614give me a sec.
>>96951626Don't give that guy your tome, that's clearly some esl who can't even ask properly
>>96951636I have the half a gig uncompressed version so I can't catbox it anyways apparently.
>>96951614the art is all in articles on warcom from the week before the army set release.

>>96951781He looks like a mix of charlie kirk and a flapjack character
Where's the FUCKING roadmap
>>96951175WIP of my skaven girls. lineart is done, coloring in one week.
God damnit painters tape doesn't hold this fucking pouring resin in. Internet forums are full of LIES.
>>96952099cute rats
>>96952099Ass not fat enough, lady rats get thicc
>>96952101I've never heard of anyone having good luck with tape. I hear a lot of people suggesting tape, or claiming theyve used tape, but never seen anyone show their process who also used tape. Look up how redditors do acrylic pour tables. Most of the time they are physically screwing borders into the edges of their piece as well as using caulking to ensure no spills. Not that it'll clean up the resin off your floor or fix your piece, but you'll at least know for next time
>>96952120Thankfully the resin hasn't dried it is a fucking mess right now though which is really god damn annoying. I just wanna have my glotkin in the ocean damnit. The most success I've had was using those plastic cake wrappers with hot glue but that's inconsistent since I suck at applying the glue without having holes and then I find out hours later that there was a leak and I got a fucked up model.
Should have my first game playing with HoH this weekend.
How much of IDK's lacking popularity is because they don't have a full army list and how much of it is on people not liking the concept? I think it's super strong personally but when I realized running a bunch of namarti was a requirement, I picked up a different faction.
>>96952138Use some kind of weatherproofing caulking. Lots of them are peelable particularly if you live in a cold place. I think using every single fastening method will leave you something that is total overkill, but won't let you down again.
>>96951886still the same as the shitty rumor engine. Fyreslayers getting new units, ogres getting a refresh/new units, and one of the death factions getting new units. That's probably it till summer of next year, please enjoy.
>>96952223I'd like them more if they were shoeless
>>96951600A cool helmet, cool chest piece, better looking weapons, that's pretty much all it would take to fix the acolytes.
>>96952223>when I realized running a bunch of namarti was a requirementIt's not.Their unpopularity is a lethal combo of having gorgeous, but admittedly challenging to paint minis with several on flight stands, a higher than average skill floor, and a small roster that has gotten continually passed over for updates. Concept could play a small part, but people generally do like the idea of them.
>>96951588Cypher lords look more like an IDK unit with their helmets with what look like fins on them and a blue color scheme. On the official paint job it even looks like they have waves painted on, genuinely confused how they ended up as LRL.
>>96952228I'm more annoyed I decided that this was a good idea to do for basing that wouldn't make me positively miserable. It looks cool when it's done but the process is never easy.
>>96952223mostly the former from what I've seenthe word abortion gets thrown around a lot for themor people mad as fuck about eel spam; I don't know if that's still what they do, but it's what gets said when anyone even remembers IDK exist
>>96951592"Warcry's death is a loss for this game, especially (...)"Maybe he was using some kind of speech-to-text>>96952269>confused how they ended up as LRLThey were StD. Should have been Tzeentch, though.
>>96951781You mixed up the characters from tbe shitpost
how good of a skaven start would it be to get skaventide and the christmas box?
>>969525382k instantly
>>96952228Okay anon, they're double insulated and sitting by a cold window, AND IT'S SNOWING. I'm gonna get back to working on my blight kings. Did a rewash to help get some shade in on my other ones since a couple threads ago an anon mentioned they could use some work.
>>96952272>>96952564I do a lazy water effect basing for my marines for 40k I could share the recipe if you're interested. You definitely don't get the same depth you would out of true pourable water effects but it sells wellĺ enough and just uses paint.
>>96952594I mean that's a much smarter idea, but i'm an idiot and like to suffer, also it looks neat having the water effect from the side. I uh, haven't figured out waves yet but it's fiiiiiiine.
>>96952600I think waves you want to use a wide flat brush and stipple your white water effect in little lines. Check out some of the model train guys on YouTube, or paepercuts might be a good channel for you to check out. He's doing similar stuff to what you're tryinghttps://youtu.be/IruH5yS8ugk?si=-VqcSOFf4Drj1e56
>>96952620Ya know it's funny, my dad does model railroading and yet I don't think he's even done stuff like this. Preciate the tips anon.
>>96951352>>96952223>>96952263>>96952279I'm the anon who was considering starting AoS with Seraphon or Idoneth Deepkin in the previous thread and finally decided on Deepkin only to read here that they are "a unpopular abortion in danger of soft squatting"Should I reconsider? I mean I was suspicious when I saw I could still buy the old Spearhead without a problem...Is it a bad idea to start collecting Idoneth Deepkin right now?I like their models and I like their lore but now I'm worried.
>>96952713Ignore anyone saying a faction is gonna get "squatted" so far that's only been beastmen so they could get hauled off to the old world. I doubt any of their units are gonna squatted as well because everything looks nice (unlike say some fyreslayer stuff) If you want to collect idoneth I say go for it, they're a neat faction. I personally do not care for elves but chase your bliss and all that.
Where can I see all the Spearhead Battle Tactic cards? Will be playing in a tournament soon and I'd like to go over all the tactics cards since I'm not the fastest reader and I don't want to waste peoples time.
>>96952752Another high cosideration was Seraphon or Soulblight Gravelords (who are getting a battleforce). I can also find the Skeleton Army Set for SBGL.It's not so easy to decide. I'm not CRAZY about elves in general but I like Idoneth's underwater theme.
>>96951823>gotta spend the entire time covered in boils and shitting my pants constantly>mindraped into thinking this is a good thing actuallyquite literally the worst method of immortality
>>96952802So I've played quite a bit of SBGL, it's a weird faction. You've got the most annoying chaff, all of which on full death can be brought back once per game (per unit) at half strength. a 20 block of wolves is nigh immovable in most cases and infuriating. Also if you like named characters they're the faction for it, every vamp is pretty strong, probably a wizard, and can self heal. On top of that vampire and skeleton cavalry hit like trucks and can be buffed to be even scarier. Also skeletons, those are pretty neat. I got like 40 deathrattles and 40 graveguard. They're fun to paint and you get lots of em to paint. The zombie half of SBGL is in need of some more support but otherwise they're a solid faction.
Now that the dust has settled, do we have any ideas on why Helsmiths of Hashut failed to make much in sales or impact?
>hes still here
>mfw all my armies combined have less warscrolls than maggotkinreally kills my interest in AoS
>>96951175Did I miss the preorders for the christmas boxes
>>96952822Alright. I'm going Vampires. I'll get the Battleforce, Cursed City and the old Spearhead. Might be much but it's get it now or never I guess.>>96952859Next saturday.
>>96952843It's not always a bad thing. Helps with analysis paralysis
>>96952868Shit I didn't expect that, uh. Well I hope you enjoy anon. Remember, don't just get chaff, you need hammers for your anvils. Also Kritza is good, Radhukar the beast is a one man wrecking crew, and skeletons are the best.
>>96952713Don't listen to fags on a bhutanese kite making message board , get whatever you like the most. If that's IDK, go for it. Seraphon are really cool too, to be fair
Anyone got a print of Warcry Pyre and Flood’s booklet
>>96952843Sometimes I really wonder why GW has such a huge hard on for Nurgle
>>96952837Well he works here (for $0)
>>96952887Yeah I know. I'm now looking what to get that is limited. Also is this the same box? Looks to be the same. Seems they are counting the gravestones as miniatures in the Spearhead version. The Vanguard is a bit cheaper so go with that?>>96952903The lead mini designer is a Nurgle lover for both AoS and 40k.
>>96952903>khorne is super generic demons>slaanesh is too nsfw>tzeentch is harder to get across>nurgle is just fat green guys with boilsit really just makes sense why they’d focus so hard on nurgle
>>96952900> files(dot)catbox(dot)moe(slash)2yr8i2(dot)pdfhere you go my friend
>>96952907It is, and yes. Might I reccomend the old skeleton start collecting with the mortarch kit. You can pretty easily convert Arkhan to be on foot as a necromancer or wight king and you get a mannfred or neff (or both the chair and head are easy to magnetize)Cursed city is good for the models but fair warning most of it has been legends'd. Radukhar the not beast is the only survivor. (Cool fucking models though)
>>96952870its a bad thing for me since I enjoy list building and having tons of options.
>>96952928List building even when you have a big roster still feels like shit with all the weird hero and unit limitations gw arbitrarily puts in place.
>>96952925I doubt I'd be able to find the old Start Collecting. I will look. As for Cursed City I'm just getting it for the models. So I'll get the Vanguard as it's 10$ cheaper. Then I'll probably get pic related or the old Army Set when I paint it all up.
>>96952945Rock on homey.
>>96952919Thank you kindly buddy
>>96952903He got fuckall since the 1e wave
>>96953075yeah, i mean what did nurgle actually get during age of sigmar?slimux and the harbinger, and the GUO. and a warcry band. i think thats it right? everything else was end times and before. maybe the sorcerer on foot?
>>96953123Pusgoyls. Tree. Beast of nurgle. Great Unclean One.
>>96953143pusgoyles werent end times?
>>96952945Old wight king is a treat
>>96953157No.Oh and also the scribe herald and jester herald were post-ET
>>96953179Not like there's a new with king
>>96953157Surprisingly no, though the plaguebearer version is.Nurgle aos stuff before current reveals is:>horticulus>GUO/rotigus>gnarlmaw>scribe herald>piper herald>beast of nurgle>blightlords/lord of afflictions>lord of blights (not to be confused with 8e lord of plagues)>Rotbringer sorcerer>rotmire creed>harbringer of decayAnd then two underworlds warbands, although they're just alternate sculpts at the moment.
>>96953186There's a bunch on horses thoughbeit
>>96953179Yeah I think I will get the current Spearhead next as the discount on the Skeleton Army Set is pretty shit and the old king is great.>>96953186There were a couple from what I checked but they were all named like the commemorative ones and the very awesome Underworlds Warband.
>>96953211Heads up, you can get sons of Belmore in the bundlehttps://www.warhammer.com/en-CA/shop/warhammer-underworlds-morbid-minions-2025?srsltid=AfmBOop8rzLCB5_ENNucLQjTub9cxiK9RjtHYaZLxEe7ATAd0Dq0-dCc
>>96953244Yeah and there is the other one with the vampires. I'll have to get both at some point.
Big boxes, big prices
>>96953366>over 400 AUD now
Alright so with maggotkin announced we're almost more than halfway through this edition's battletomes already. These 12 (soon to be 11) are the remaining factions without any battletomes yet. Of these, more than half have reasonably credible rumours as to their future this edition. The ones left out are:>lumineth>tzeentch>slaanesh>seraphon(Additionally DoK and Sylvaneth only have some vague rumours about krethusa/kurnothi respectively)What do you guys think is in the cards for these guys in 4th? Any special hopes or fears? Personally I think it'll be mostly pity heroes + terrain/spells for them, since the rest of the edition is already looking very packed release-wise. I like lizards and I would love a refresh of saurus guard or something, but I think it'll more likely be a hero and maybe a coatl incarnate if we're lucky.
>>96953381how many large waves do we get per edition?
>>96953381Sylvaneth don't really have rumors, not that I've seen. The usual leakfags haven't said anything to hint at new models or rules changes this edition. That there's a wave of Kurnothi stuff incoming sounds plausible, but people didn't get that from the rumor mill.
>>96953381Aside from Tzeentch those factions are it good positions and can get away with a pity hero.
>>96953429I'd like some sort of priest for Sylvaneth.
>>96953366If anyone's wondering, when buying straight from gw full prices would be:>Trolls296 yuro, so around 32% discount>skaven296.5 yuro, so again around 32%>vamps315 yuro, around 36.5% (though bats are like €50 which is overpriced as fuck)>treesa bit difficult since it comes with 20 dryads while they're sold for €45 in groups of 16, but if we count 20 dryads as 56.25 then that comes out to €306.75, at around 35% discount.>Tldr trolls and rats 32% off, vamps 36%, trees weird but 35%
>>96953429seraphon are one medium-sized wave away from being completely up to date and set for life
>>96953449You know what? Fair.Old World will probably come knocking for those skinks eventually.
>>96952925>Recommending a box out of print for several years>>96953381>SylvanethVery popular army with high sale numbers so I guess it is possible that GW will spoil them with more then a pitty hero. Also maybe they will get rid of Dryads considering the TOW dual use?>TzeentchCould need some love and the release space that maggotkin now got. Fleshing out the Chaos Warrior type of units would be neat because currently it's merely Deamons and Goats. But I doubt this will happen this Ed.>SeraphonSimilar to Sylvaneth a fan favoriute so might be getting some love>SlaaneshYeah I guess a pity hero will be all this time>DoKI kinda hate the idea of more Krethusa and Elves bullshit. It was supposed to be Morathis faction and now it's turning back to some Dark Elves revamp which will only suffer from deviating from DoK instead of becoming it's own thing
>>96953485>get rid of DryadsThat would be a dick move since they put 20 of those bitches in the Christmas box.
>>96953485DoK aren't popular besides in waacfag circles so they are doing what they can to save that army. Malerion's elves will probably be a shadowmonster mash and not really elves.
>>96953449>>96953478I made a shitty ms paint overview because I was curious, their refresh was actually really sizeable. (duplicates hidden and marked with a x2) I'd say of the pre-aos kits the carnosaur, starpriest and bastilodon hold up perfectly, the stegadon to me too but I've seen people say it shows its age in certain parts, the terradon/ripperdactyls depend on the build, while the oldblood and saurus guard are the only ones that really need the refresh. Skinks are kind of odd because they're absolutely ancient but hold up surprisingly well. GW is probably going to want to refresh them too though, especially when keeping in mind that gw might want to use those older sculpts in tow eventually.I think given the popularity of lizards it's not unreasonable for say an oldblood pity hero, spells/incarnate, and then a refresh of either skinks or guard to go along with it.
>>96953411Ogors and Bonereapers will have big waves in 2026. I assume the rest will be a pity hero and then in 2027 one big wave and new edition.
>>96953381Tzeentch really need some attention but I'm guessing that'll be in 5th at the absolute earliest.>>96953416Huh, I was under the impression there was a kurnothi rumour related to underworlds. Something like "dok and sylvaneth will get warbands that will herald future releases" and then we got a krethusa one and a sylvaneth one. Something like that idk.>>96953505I think it was implied by one of the usual guys that malerion's guys would be souped with them when the time comes
This kit is so cool but it bugs me that they're all masculine
>>96953551Look forward to the faun girls then.
>>96953558I was, but then it turns out they aren't happening. All the Rumor Engines showing Kurnothi stuff were for Darkwater. Kurnothi are going to stay a weird sidegame only thing for the foreseeable.
>>96953558No more furries.
>>96953519This was the medium-sized wave I was thinking >skinks update (bows/atlatls)>stegadon update>eternity warden underworlds band>coatl elementalgoing the extra mile during a campaign >lord gar on carnotaurno need of a scar veteran or oldblood on foot because you get one from the carnosaur kit and besides stuff like that can be handed out as pity heroes in the following editions
>>96953539>malerion's guys would be souped with themThat doesn't make any sense.
>>96953574I'm crushed man. I was so excited for a furry elf subfaction :(
>>96953411Depends on what counts as large I suppose, let's see.1st edition>stormies>khorne>fyreslayers>ironjawz>sylvaneth>tzeentch>more stormies>kharadron>nurgle>dok>idkso around 11(!) large waves(man in hindsight releasing both dok and idk like a month apart was kinda crazy, they just shat out new armies back then)2nd edition>more stormies>ghosts>gsg>obr>sons of behemat (does this count as a large wave?)>lumineth wave 1>slaanesh wave 2 (wave 1 was pretty small>lumineth wave 2>vampsaround 9 waves, but depends on what you count as large honestly3rd edition>even more stormies>kruleboyz>std>seraphon>cities>ironjawz>fec>std darkoath8 waves, though technically no new armies4th edition so far>more stormies>skaven>gitz>vamps>hashoot >nurglePretty decent considering we're only halfway through, 6 big waves already
>>96953551We have dryads for "girls", I guess?
>>96953569they should bundle all the existing kurnothi into a playable spearhead and leave it at that>inb4 that's not a kurnothihonorary
>>96953615It’s a shit idea but the game would be healthier if underworlds didn’t legends shit
>>96953615the darkwaters heroes are not on individual sprues, they're doomed
>>96953522>bonereapersI don't think it'll be nurgle or skaven tier, I'm guessing more like cathay wave 2. Like 3 or 4 new kits to have fun with. Which would be really nice honestly.
>>96953632A clever company would slap the assets onto a new sprue that also includes upgrade bits for the kurnoth hunters and perhaps an extra faun or two.
>>96953615That's a nice idea but replace all the not-trees with more trees.
>>96953656This but replace all the trees with not-trees.
>>96953576>>skinks update (bows/atlatls)I hope they get atlatls, they're pretty unique. I do think it's more likely that we'll get a melee/ranged dual kits rather than a double ranged. Come to think of it atlatls also make it easier to combine with melee build options, design wise>coatl elementalman people have been talking about this so much I'm going to be dissappointed now because no way gw is smart enough to do that. We'll get a shitty chinese jungle swarm spell like GSG spiders probably
>>96953612>honoraryIf 4 Darkoath kits count as a large wave you should count shit like Kharadron and Deepkin this edition
>>96953522>>96953633Dont give me hope....
Why are our threads always so dead?
>>96953706Ben got banned
>>96953690They most likely will, good for you
>>96953706we slow down posting when you're around specifically to drive you off
>>96953706You're always free to post models, ask questions, share ideas or stories, etc.
>>96953673kharadron got the equivalent of a pity wave and a repurposed warcry kit that never wasthey're definitely not a big waveand the idoneth shit is a big wave only if you're autistic about the elemental
>>96953706we're not 40k. Also I think the timezones for people who visit the general are kinda weird. I a good 1/3 of it is from NA, maybe another 1/3 is from europenis, last 1/3 is probably from LATAM.
>>96953613Now that we know Kurnothi aren't happening, I'm thinking the Dryad kit is getting replaced this edition. They already showed off a new Dryad design that's way more in line with the rest of the Sylvaneth range, and they can send the current kit back to TOW>>96953615God, just put Kurnoth's Heralds in the Sylvaneth tome as a unit! It's three centaurs, it shouldn't be some special named thing, just let me run some centaurs!
>>96953706oh excuse me, I'll be sure to start shitposting so we can be as "active" as /40kg/
Trying the Blanche thing on this mega boss. Is the skull okay? I think it really needs a wash and I fucked up on the layering process. I’m am planning on doing a cool blue for the pants but I’m not sure about the black segments of the armor yet
>>96953721>we know Kurnothi aren't happeningDo we?
>>96953718It's the middle of the workday in yurop, and i'm pretty sure it's either night or early morning in america. Thread's a lot more active than it usually is around this time honestly.
>>96953721ohh man right I forgot about those new Dryads from Warcry. They're cool as fuck, I'd instantly jump on a a full kit of them.
>>96953632the Blackstone Fortress heroes weren't on individual sprues either
>>96953730
>>96953730skull looks perfect to me, but im easily amazed ill be honest to you.
>>96953615Remove the darkwater stuff and that's actually possible, the darkwater stuff is locked on sprues with other shit.
>>96953717The Kharadron wave "felt" like a bigger wave than it was because the new units filled a big hole in the army's aesthetic. They express the sky-pirate dwarf concept better than the old kits, so seeing them was like, "oh damn, Kharadron on the scene now"
>>96953673eh darkoath also had abraxia, the oathboand and some terrain. though I forgot savagers were a repurposed warcry warband that came out earlier
>>96953736>It's the middle of the workday in yurop>not shitposting on company timeweak
>>96953733there were two major reasons to expect Kurnothi to be released in the near future.>1During a previous reveal stream when they revealed the Kurnoth's Heralds Underworlds band, the announcers said they were a taste of things to come.>2Multiple rumor engines showing what were clear Kurnothi design elementsBut all of those rumor engines turned out to be for Darkwater. Which also means that Darkwater could be what the announcers were saying was the followup to Kurnoth's Heralds. So we're back to square one, with no reason to believe that Kurnothi are coming any time soon, but they're still so prominent that it feels really weird that they aren't.Genuinely, I was kinda crushed by that reveal stream. I was so excited for Kurnothi and Corsairs, and we got neither of them.
>>96953765>corsairsI don't know too much about 40k but some of my friends are really excited for these guys but I don't really see what they add. They just seem like normal eldar painted in dark eldar colours to me. Exodites seem like the far more interesting option personally, but again I'm not really into 40k. If done well exodites could tempt me though.
Looks fun.https://www.warhammer-community.com/en-gb/articles/pm4r36ou/an-adventurers-guide-to-warhammer-quest-darkwater-what-is-the-jade-abbey/
>>96953799>Everything begins with the Everspring, a font of crystal-clear water blessed by Alarielle the Everqueen. This sacred liquid is essentially supercharged Aqua Ghyranis – one swig and any mortal illness is cured, any wound healed without a scar, and with regular administrations one can achieve a sort of immortality. More than just providing a five-star spa day, the Everspring is a vital artery of life energy for Ghyran, even giving the Everspring Swathe its name.* >Naturally, such a powerful resource was closely guarded, and a stronghold known as the Jade Abbey was constructed around it. The monastic order that inhabited the Abbey trained a sect of warriors to prevent certain Chaos gods – mainly the jolly plague-spreading one – from seizing it.If it was so important to Alarielle and the Swathe then why are there no Sylvaneth involved here? Why were they not there and guarding the place?
>>96953799>THE GUSH shouldn't make me laugh. I hope if the story sees the gang cleanse the place, we can get a look at how it looks once its cleansed afterwards. Also I dig the art, i fw it heavy. Even the maps good.
>>96953745>>96953738On top of black stone fortress sprues being highly coveted, I fully expect 40k degenerates to eat up most of the stock of dark water. It will sit in their pile of unopened 30k and kill team bundles while they put contrast paint on space marines once a week for 1 hour and post about it in discord I’m very excited because I like everything in the set, but I’m really hoping that my country gets a decent supply or it’s in constant production as to not be a FOMO >>96953765Are kurnothi the centaur guys or just any mortal sylvaneth units devoted to a certain god? Judging by the Druid and shapeshifter in dark water, I’d say they’re happening eventually. I would love to see it too. Ghost trees are kind of wack but mortal Druids and tree huggers are awesome
>>96953814that art is pretty cool
>Inverted waterfalls, part of a complex realmstone-powered system built to ferry precious liquid up from the Everspring, carry tainted water from the depths. Even Pust and his followers are yet to breach the lower levels of the abbey, and rumour has it that the Sanctum of Life so far remains unsullied, though the rot and ruin of Nurgle is all but inevitable. It’s now up to you and your band of heroes to battle through the Jade Abbey and prevent the corruption of the Everspring.Potentially some expansions coming down the line, then?
>>96953815>Are kurnothi the centaur guys or just any mortal sylvaneth units devoted to a single god
>>96953821Looks like Boyd has been at the head of developing Darkwater's visual identity. While Cursed City was more the purview of Kevin Chin.
>>96953815>Are kurnothi the centaur guys or just any mortal sylvaneth units devoted to a certain god?Per the most recent fluff out of Warhammer Underworlds:>Though Kurnoth no longer strides the realms as an embodiment of primal predation, his worshippers and warlike offspring can still be found everywhere life blooms. In his absence, they continue to venerate him through rituals of the hunt. >The Kurnothi are not a single species but a gathering of aelves, centauroids, tree-folk and other entities that pay homage to the Hunter God. Most — but not all — are Sylvaneth, forest spirits bearing seed-like organs known as lamentiri and possessing an elemental connection to the Realm of Life. Others are mortal beings of flesh and blood, imbued by lineage or divine blessing with the hot-blooded aggression of their patron. Though Kurnothi roam far and wide, their sacred homeland is Kurnotheal. They ruthlessly defend this ranger's paradise from anyone foolish enough to trespass on its tangled pathways.
>>96953796Corsairs are just really cool in the lore, Prince Yriel is a fan favorite character, the Kill Team we got is fantastic, and the rumor says they'll come with a new Vyper kit replacing one of the oldest models in the game. While I also prefer Exodites, Corsairs are also a much easier add. If you want to run 2,000 points of them the rumored kits won't be enough, but some very simple conversions to existing Eldar kits will let you run 2,000 points that look very Corsairy.Exodites could very well be a Kroot situation, where you technically can run 2,000 points of them but you'll really be feeling the gaps in the range. And adding regular Eldar units would require much more significant conversions if you want your whole army to look Exoditey. So everyone wants Exodites, but there's more trepidation about what that would actually look like. But Corsairs are nothing but upsidesAlso, we have rumors that we're getting both by the end of next edition, so everyone wins.
>>96953834I honestly don’t give a shit about sylvaneth and resent them for denying us mortal Druids a la night elves from wow All I know is that kurnoth is some other god or important guy on the orange bug and his followers are called Kurnothi
>>96953848>Most — but not all — are SylvanethIf most are sylvaneth then why are most of the ones we get models of not sylvaneth?
>>96953805ehh, you can handwave it away as being part of the Age of Myth where all the gods and races worked together in relative harmony. Like, the Everspring wasn't just Alarielle's thing, it was important for all the Realms, so she didn't feel like she had to guard it specifically herself it could be the responsibility of all, yadda yadda yadda
>>96953862Interesting, so are they like a mix of normal and dark eldar? I thought that's what ynnari were supposed to be>>96953864the dude on the orange bug is kurnoth's herald, like krethusa is for morai-heg, or morathi pretends to be for khaine
>>96953865?
>>96953865because kurnouth hunters are said most
>>96953881Why are they clones?
>>96953876>Interesting, so are they like a mix of normal and dark eldar?Basically, yeah. Eldar who live on Craftworlds have to follow specific Paths to keep them on the straight and narrow and not fall to excess again. Those who find that life too constricting can take the Path of the Outcast and go wander around being a space pirate for awhile until they come home and get a real job. But some never leave that Path, staying Corsairs their whole life. Corsair crews can also be an option for Dark Eldar who for whatever reason want to get out of Commoragh. What's interesting is that this wasn't reflected in their models at all until the recent Kill Team. All the old Corsair stuff (picture related) just looked like regular Eldar.> I thought that's what ynnari were supposed to beyeah I really want to know the behind the scenes stuff about the whole Ynnari mess. What's very interesting is that the new Corsairs Kill Team, which blends Eldar and Dark Eldar aesthetics just like the Ynnari character models do, came out a few years after the Ynnari were introduced.I have a conspiracy theory that the Corsair Kill Team was originally designed as a Ynanri infanttry unit. Bu then, for whatever reason, they decided to make it Corsairs instead since it worked with their lore too.
>>96953900
>>96953722Thank you. Now get on it.
Are you getting any of the Battleforces?
>>96953959Probably not? was rather hoping for a stormcast or blades of khorne box.
>>96953919thanks for the breakdown, appreciate it. And yeah, from what I can gather gw seems to have backtracked pretty hard on the ynnari stuff. Shame, since I'm a zoomzoom and the visarch is actually the first model that drew my attention to warhammer in general, after which I got into aos. Well, I hope 40k players get their corsairs someday. Was this rumour what boole was talking about earlier then? elven prince from the maelstrom or something?
>>96953967Probably but Yriel was leaked a while ago. Honestly none of the 40k stuff he mentioned was his leak as it was leaked ages ago by Valrak.
>>96953959Vampires, most likely.
I kinda hope we get a tie-in novel for Darkwater. The setting seems fun.
>>96953967The elven prince is definitely Prince Yriel. He's one of the biggest deal Eldar characters and a fan favorite, and he used to have a model. The Maelstrom is an area of space that the Red Corsairs hang out it, Chaos Space Marine pirates led by Huron Blackheart, who is also rumored to be getting a new model. So Boole is saying that one of the narrative books for 40k Will b Chaos pirates led by Huron Blackheart fighting Eldar pirates led by Prince yriel.Which would be insanely sick>>96953959Man, I tried so hard to figure out a way to get value out of that Sylvaneth battleforce and I just can't. THREE SPITE-REVENANT KITS?! WHO THE FUCK WANTS THAT MANY? They released that exact same set like five years ago but with one of the Spite-Revenants kits swapped for a Treelord, and that alone is enough to make the old box like ten times better and more useful. The current Spearhead, which is a fantastic box and easy to justify buying two or even three of, has a unit of Spite/Tree-revenants. Which means that if you have bought even one copy of the Spearhead, buying that battleforce gives you too many fucking Revenants. If you want Drycha, buy Drycha and a Spearhead and you'd be way better off.Fucking hell, imagine if they'd done a bug rider-focused box with Alarielle, or a Kurnoth box with Belthanos and a bunch of Kurnoth Hunters. I would have bought either of those in a heartbeat.
>>96953835Really digging the vibealso like the reference (?) to alarielle's 'crown' in the statue
>>96953959This looks really boring. It’s likely a product of the range being small but the revenants and dryads read as the same thing. For somebody unfamiliar with the faction it seems like a bunch of little trees and a medium tree and a big tree
OH WHAT THE FUCK. I was looking up the previous Sylvaneth Battleforce that was just this year's one but better, and I discovered that there was another Sylvaneth Battleforce from a couple years before that.GW has done three Sylvaneth Battleforces.AND EVERY LAST ONE OF THEM INCLUDED DRYCHA, TWO UNITS OF SPITE-REVENANTS, AND A TREE LORDTHEY'RE RELEASING THE SAME BOX OVER AND OVER AGAIN, WITH THE SAME FUCKING NAMED CHARACTER
>>96954031shit he's on to us
>>96954028Just off the top of my head, imagine if they had done this as the box. How fuckin sick would that be
>>96954031She was also in the Broken Realms box. It's been something of a running gag among sylvaneth collectors.
>>96954031>different treelord build every timelel sneaky fuckers
>>96954031they gotta sell her somehowget ready for the spitegrove spearhead coming soon alongside the tome
This is my Freeguild Command Corps War Surgeon from Chamon.
>>96954061I wish there were more viny revenants like Ylthari. It's a rad look.
>gnoblars are killrip
>>96954077good riddance
>>96954049Buyers remorse after trying to build any of those kits
>>96954049You missed one
>>96954104Unfortunately we are not allowed to have elite infantry units of anthropomorphic spites. We get furry elves instead.
>>96954031>the revenant wargrove came with an extra fucking tree lord instead of 5 wimpy ghost trees >was probably cheaper tooTo be fair, they’re model rang is so small weak that they really don’t have many options without giving you TOO much value and we can’t have that now can we?The new one would have been more appealing if it had less chaff and someKurnothi hunters or flying bugs
>>96953959None of them interest me, no.
I think that each year we arw getting worse and worse Battleforces for both games.
>>96954161posting slop contributes to the enshittification of all things
>>96954175Good
>>96954077I kind of expected it after GW put Gnoblars in the new spearhead honestly, it's exactly what they would do. Also:>Fyreslayer/Dispossessed update is 12 kits, including new breeds of magmadroth.
>>96954061Fuck, I'd buy that. No Dryads and only one unit of Spite-Revenants
>>96954063yeah that works OK
>>9695419312 kits sounds like a lot, I'm assuming he's counting dual kits and stuff
>>96954237He reacted to someone else clarifying 12 kits total, so not all of them will be Fyreslayer kits it sounds like. Still, 12 kits is a ton, that's a full on new army release, especially assuming some of them are dual kits.
>>96954049Replace Alarielle with another unit of dragonflies and an an arch-revenant or warsinger and I'd buy 2.
>>96953765We'll definitely get Kurnothi eventually, but honestly at this point Sylvaneth seem to be in the same place as every other Elf Army-rumors of shit on the horizon but not right now. I think 5E is looking to be the Elf edition at this point, there's just no real room to update elves alongside all the other huge updates we've gotten or are coming soon.
>>96954297Bit weird to go so hard on dwarfs in 4th and then go hard on elves in 5th. Surely you'd want to spread it out so you've got a big elf and dorf release each in 4th AND 5th? especially with votann also in 40k getting a fuckton?
>>96954316>Bit weird to go so hard on dwarfs in 4th and then go hard on elves in 5thdunno how it'd be weird. If you're implementing a new faction like helsmiths you'd want to see reactivity for other duardin races. Same way how when Slaanesh eventually comes back in earnest, you'll want to see how the other elves react.
>>96954139>spitesIf you're gonna whine then just call them bugs. Calling them Spites just confuses people as to what you're even whining about, since most anons believe Spites = Spite-Revenants.
>>96954334Sure, from a fluff perspective. But I mean business-wise you'd think they don't want to overload potential dwarf players by dropping 2 new armies on them in a short amount of time, while missing out on potential elf players meanwhile, and then doing the same thing in reverse in the next edition.
>>96951175>TqWell all I know is that this guy is getting Kitbashed into Slaanesh the second the box Hits the shelves.
>>96954061Weird how they don't utulise her. Since Every moddeler seems to praise her for beeing a fun to paint model.
Kurnothi>Sylvaneth.
>>96954448Didn't you hear? Most Kurnothi are Sylvaneth.
>>96953959debating trolls but I've got a backlog, on the other hand it'll sell out and I've got an amazon gift card.
>>96954237>>96954248No matter what they do they can't save this faction. I wish we got more alien high fantasy beings than just flavors of dwarves and elves.
>>96954603We have already 4 flavors of elf’s.Why we can’t have two flavors of dwarfs, anon?
the fact they are merging generic shitty stunties with fyrechads is infuriating to me.
>>96954603eh wait and see, I think they deserve at least a fair shot.>>96954618We already have 3 flavours of dwarf in the game anon, sick art though, that magmahold in the background looks really cool
>>96954175but dark fantasy slop looks so good
>>96953815>I fully expect 40k degenerates to eat up most of the stock of dark water. It will sit in their pile of unopened 30k and kill team bundles while they put contrast paint on space marines once a week for 1 hour and post about it in discordThat is such a specific generalization but it’s an honest and brutal takedown LMFAO. I know the exact kind of people you’re talking about.
>>96954635>3 flavorsHow many of those flavors have a proper army? Be realistic, we are polluted by elf overpopulation of armies yet we only have one only way of play dwarfs.
>>96954603>No matter what they do they can't save this faction. If they let me design the units I could fix all factions with 3 easy tricks.I am not joking.
>>96954645it's not like idoneth of khainites are swimming (heh) in options at the moment either
>>96954629For some reason they seem intent on basically revamping several armies to more closely resemble their WHFB counterparts. It's like they're trying to placate angry grogs from a decade ago. Shit's weird.
>>96954645Elf armies are barely armies. Its either WFB models like DoK or all heroes like Idoneth. Sylvaneth is barely elves.
>>96954660This. The fact they lazily shoehorned these retards in a book they don’t fit and that is already really cramped makes me think the same. But is a really stupid tactic because both Gitmob and Fyreslayers have so much potential and room for expansion on their own making this kind of halfassed releases leave a bad taste in every fan of those concept mouth
>>96954660Because TOW flopped and they need to focus on AoS again.
>>96954650well, let's hear it then
>>96954660if the bold new directions sold enough they wouldn't need to scamper back to familiar grounds.
>>96954673Lmao you know what is “barely” an army? Fyreslayers. You field dwarfs and Mamadroths. On the other hand, LRL, IDK, DoK and SYLVANETH (they are elves) have every single one proper armies to play, stop seething.
>>96954698Are you implying armies like Gloomspite, Lumineth, Ossiarch or Kharadron sell poorly?
Im just curious if the dwarves will continue to adopt the eastern dragon asthetics
>>96954710I'm not implying night goblins are a bold new direction, no
>>96954721>Fyreslayers more followed than Khorne and Slaanesh>Ossiarch not even on the list>Sons of behemath at the bottom tooIs clear then: Let’s erase DoK half of Chaos and SoB and make room for more Fyreslayers, Gitmob and Deadwalkers.
>>96954673>Its either WFB models like DoK or all heroes like IdonethYou're taking the piss, cunt
>>969547216k of followers boc? gwchuds maybe we made a mistake?
>>96954721you know, slaanesh always escapes these discussions because they're a main chaos thing so they're unlikely to go anywherebut seriously they're by far the most unpopular faction here, even fyreslayers and SoB mog them to shitHow do we solve the slaanesh problem?
>>96954660The way I see it, if the people in charge of developing the game each have like 15-20 years of experience working on WHFB, then whatever they do with that experience is probably gonna bear some resemblance to WHFB.
>>96954776kirby was right, slaanesh was to be slaughtered by and fused with elves
>>96954711idk, im getting a little tired of the new aos team just telling people their collections are invalid. if the rumors about half the heroes and the vulkites being squatted are true thats half of most fyreslayers players armies. on top of what they did to the stormcast, beasts of chaos, and all 3 bonesplitters players, they're really testing just how much the community can take before they lose faith in the game as a product all together. why buy into a game when peoples armies are prone to just randomly being squatted or disassembled by the powers that be?
>>96954752Take heart. Good gor things can still happen.
>>96954787I never bought into a microfaction so I dont really care.
>>96954792beasts and stormcast were not microfactions you retard
>>96954721I can’t understand, Slaanesh got the perfect release, the models were awesome and the rules weren’t half bad…Why is so fucking unpopular? And Khorne? Wasn’t he the most popular chaos god?
>>96954787what baffles me even more is that it's an undeniable fact that the more options an army has available, the more popular it is, and yet gw intentionally shoots itself in the foot by limiting as much as possible cross compatibility and the full extent of kits options.
>>96954792>MicrofactionsBrainlet confirmed
Using Reddit as popularity scale somehow? Are we serious?
>>96954787>if the rumors about half the heroes and the vulkites being squatted are trueeh I understand that sucks but at the same time the heroes all look very similar and can be easily proxied. I also highly doubt nufyreslayers won't have some basic infantry that you can easily proxy fyreslayers for, if they won't be straight up refreshed. Same goes for stormcast honestly, unless you really loved dracolines and ballistas your shit is all easily proxied. Now beasts of chaos type squatting is a bigger problem, but I feel like that's an exceptional case with the whole tow divorce.
The new stinkers got fresh fan art
>>96954787That was infuriating, i have the theory GW doesn’t even know what they want to do with Orruks in AoS.
>>96954603>No matter what they do they can't save this factionPfft. If all they do is deliver some actual options for Fyreslayers (like droth Cav, which is looking more likely now) plus some decent looking new dwarfs to go alongside them I see Fyreslayer stonks going through the roof, easily.
>>96954682>waah they made more good looking goblins boohoofuck off
>>96954806who said they're unpopular?
>>96954806Very intimidating to paint for newcomers, also not the cheapest faction in general. But I think fundamentally the biggest problem is playing the "gooner god' is not that appealing a lot of players. Even actual gooners will probably play dok instead
>>96954876Is not the fact they made good goblins stupid, they could make really awesome Malerion stuff in the future but if they somehow put them in the Lumineth book i would be pissed.
>>96954890Read, dark skin man, read >>96954721
people acting like adding some dudes with pants to fyreslayers is another shoah.
>>96954806slaanesh is simply extremely unappealing as a concept
>>96954787OPR is right there (I say this as I’ve swapped over)List building is actually fun
>>96954896you aren't actually mad about this thing that has literally zero effect on you outside of saving you from buying another overpriced book, not buying it.
>>96954826do you have a better metric?
>>96954831By the furry, of course.
>>96954920This. There is an audience for wanting to play an army of drugged out trans gooners, but it's extremely niche. Especially because it's not like the models are even actually sexy, it's just degenerate. People will naturally get mad about Slaanesh being replaced because it's part of tradition, but that doesn't mean all those people wanted or ever will play Slaanesh.
>>96954836they knew all along they had black orcs as a popular iteration of orcs, so they expanded them into a factionthey had night goblins as a popular iteration of goblins, so they expanded them into a factionthen they complemented the gorky orcs by making a faction of morky orcs, and a faction of sun goblins to parallel the moon goblinsit's not difficult
>>96954964Not difficult indeed, just horrible.

>>96955037Next week is tow, then quest.
>>96954787I highly doubt they're going to squat vulkites unless they plan to completely squat fyreslayers as a whole. If they plan on combining the faction with dispossesed, it stands to reason they're most iconic unit wouldn't be getting removed. >>96954806>why is so fucking unpopularslaanesh is the most humanoid/mortal heavy of the chaos gods, even many of the demons just look like people with an extra crab claw attatched and that's not what a lot of people want out of a "chaos" faction. Also it's slaanesh, so having a bunch of androgynous, effeminate units including the big demon, isn't really appealing to the broader audience of warhammer fans. They want hyper masculinity, not the keeper of secrets. >Wasn't khorne the most popular chaos godmaybe among casuals? Nurgle always seemed more popular among actual tabletop players to me.
>>96955101>it stands to reason they're most iconic unit wouldn't be getting removed. You mean the magmadroths?
>>96955101>If they plan on combining the faction with dispossesed, it stands to reason they're most iconic unit wouldn't be getting removed. As a Fyreslayer player, ehhhhhhh it's very possible. Vulkites are the worst looking unit in the army, and in terms of role they don't really do anything unique, people just play whichever melee infantry warscroll is more efficient between Vulkites and Hearthguard depending on the edition. Plus, the Warcry Warband exists now and they are effectively better Vulkites both in looks and rules, so just slotting them in a basic infantry replacement is doable, though I think a new dedicated infantry kit based on their designs is more likely.
>>96955109I said iconic, not best. Mirrored Imageson is the obviously their most iconic unit.
>>96955083Lel that's pretty good
The issue with Khorne is just that the entire fucking faction are hand me downs from fantasy battle and it shows. Skullreapers, blood reavers, and maybe even juggernauts designed with circles in mind would go hard. Also the mutations for Khorne suck, fin beards are ugly.
does anyone have a link where I can get the novels? ;-;

New character profiles.>Prince Kelthannor is a member of the Golden Hunt, a nomadic clan that worships the Hunter God Kurnoth. To earn the respect of his kin and the right to rule them as king, he must track and slay a worthy quarry, such as an enemy of the natural order or a fearsome monster of legend. The prince has chosen Gelgus Pust as his target, and he cannot return home or claim his crown until he succeeds.
>>96955690Poeple complained about Nurgle mouth and tentacle spam, especially on Death Guard, so the designers adressed that
>>96955707>Vorn is chief of the Arak Klor, a tribe of warriors from the savage realm of Ghur. Drawing their own blood with the strange artefact known as the Ebon Claw, they can take on the forms of mighty predators. However, his people have begun to suffer terrible mutations from this rite, and Drasher Vorn hopes to cleanse the rage of the Ebon Claw in the Everspring.
>>96955716>Jacobus Vyne is a powerful mage of the Collegiate Arcane and a master of nature magic and Ghyranite lore. The dutiful scholar has made his way to the Abbey to stop Pust from bringing about a season of entropy. Attuned to the Realm of Life in a way that few humans are, he is accompanied by a spite-owl and a vulpine forest spirit he calls Wisper, who functions as a guardian and familiar.
>>96955548Quite sure end of edition with the campaign that leads up to 5th. So somewhere between Nov 2026 and May 2027. At least for Khul, Valkia might remain missing.>>96954031I assume because it is one of the prettier ranges that sell well to new players and as a gift for randos on christmas. Including the same units over and over makes sense if you consider that this is supposed to lure new players in and not be a good opportunity for existing players to skip costs on a new army. Thats also why they keep certain kits out of these so force players going retail price instead of bundle. Kinda related to the topic of reprint value in MTG. It sucks ass thou. But we are at the point where a shitty product with toxic sales patterns earns you more than a good customer experience.
>>96955725>he is accompanied by a spite-owl and a vulpine forest spirit he calls WisperDoes the owl not get a name? That's pretty racist.

>>96955713NTG but the complaint about the mouths and tentacles was that they were being used IN LIEU of actual gore and rot.
>>96955690I mean the body horror is still there but its not the vocal point. They might be keeping the extra weird stuff for the demons.
>>96955649>>96955690Honestly the new guy and guo are the only ones done well imo. The belly mouth thing has never been my favourite.
>>96955752>the complaint about the mouths and tentacles was that they were being used IN LIEU of actual gore and rot.No. The complaint was that it was over abundant about it that it became their identity. tentacles, and to some extent, mutations, should be reserved for tzeentch mainly. Deathguard pretty much ruined any potential for thousand sons to get freaky about it. Think of uh...helsmiths official color scheme. Everyone pretty much agrees its not the best way to go about it, but the reason they went with that direction is because it would likely blend in with the other chaos pantheons. Kinda the same deal here with the mutations, nurgle being less freaky here opens up some avenue for disciples. >but stomach mutations are so embedded in nurgles followers1. I think its pretty fucking bad that chaos has been flanderized this far, and aos seems to be showing other avenues for chaos rather than just being its stereotypes, with slaanesh and now nurgle. 2. they can get stomach eyes. idk. I know I just complained about flanderization, and now im saying only tzeentch should have tentacles and shit, which is pretty hypocritical, but we ultimately dont know where tzeentch is going, only that they have some more creative design now that nurgle no longer overlaps with them. I dont think anyone expected maggotkin to adopt the new cult/folk horror vibe they have now. Will likely be the same with tzeentch. >>96955829I only really liked the bell one. Bells also helped give nurgle its own personality before the range, between blightkings and the harbinger.

>>96955891>No. The complaint was that it was over abundant about it that it became their identity. You are trying to tell me what I was bitching about during the Death Guard release. I think I know what I bitched about. It was that the Lord of Contagion was the only guy with guts sloughing out.

Where the fuck are the ogres, fyreslayers, and OBR.Nurgle is boring. I'm sorry they just tried to bin the old blightkings those models still hold up. Also the horse guys look retarded and redundant when you already have super heavy cav like the blightlords (who look cool).Tldr this release is already boring give us the next shit

>>96956642Ghosts and FeC are actually popular. Dwarves always flop so might as well soup them. I think the only thing that could save them is to make them normal dwarves but everything is lava and forget about a whole army of diaper man babies.
>>96956662>is there any chance we can get ghost duardinLike... shorter ghosts? Yeah why not...

I know some blood and satin/gloss is missing but that feels like final touches I should wait with, but does this look somewhat decently like he's been skinned? Unsure if I should make it more red because the gloss or satin will also darken it a bit.
>>96956704I have mixed opinions on how this was executed. I would have done it like the light of eltharion but with the beard holding it all together.

>>96956951>Is there any other warcry warband that looks as different from their main faction as they do ?arguably the nurgle and tzeentch onestechnically the chameleon skinks and gorgers too, but those were already long established as being weird units relative to their respective factionI wonder if it's possible to have the askurgan fit way better with a different color scheme, I've never seen them with anything other than the stock photo

Zombie bros... If they ever add a new army to Death, that they should, is us right? Lady of Flesh time, r-right?
>>96957077next starter is either frankenzombies, undead pirates or ghoul expansion I believe they would keep the undead pirates for TOW, so AoS should get the zombies, yes.
>>96957110I want pirates in AoS to mog TWfags
>>96957037I can see an argument for jade obelisks, but what’s off about rotmire? They’re directly connected with festus in lore even. >>96957127>but what’s off about rotmire?the bamboos schtick
>>96957110imagine the backlash at tow if harkon and vampire coast get a faction in aos before them, chorfs raids 2.0 lmao.

>>96957156wasnt nurgle pretty nautical at some release? i think the dude spume was in that kind of line right?
>>96957138honestly I can see quite some ambivalent sentiments regarding vampirates from tow, many think it's a joke faction taken way too far and undeserving of attentionand for that setting to get them instead of normal vampire counts would surely raise a never ending shitstorm that go way beyond the ones about cathay.

That being said if aos got them the seethe would be something else too. I wouldn't mind getting vcoast but if I was a gw lead I'd give them to The of World, they need more 'evil' factions to balance things out with cathay and kislev coming, while skaven and dark elves and whatnot are legacy.>>96957191Lel
>>96957354>spirals everywhere on the new nurgle models>NOT ONE SINGLE SNAIL OR SNAIL MUTATION

>>96957464I think he means the darkeater models
>>96957464Festus is on a leech, not a snail, the point of a snail is the spiral shell.
>>96957486What if the spiral is a corruption of the gyran symbol (multiple circles)
>>96957464Nta, the new nurgle dudes have a ton of folk/pagan elements to be sure but I think the other anon meant they don't really mirror sylvaneth (who are surprisingly lacking in 'pagan' stuff for a faction essentially based on fairy myth and other wood spirit folklore)But yeah nurgle is filled with it, which I personally love as a new direction. The darkwater stuff goes extra hard on it because the whole thing is religion-themed of course, like the poxwalkers have spirals and shit everywhere, both varieties of pestigors have like round effigies of stras (meant to represent a cycle maybe?), festus has a whole wicker fly effigy thing on top of his model. New blight kings are also obviously more priestly, kind of carcoca cultist/prophet thing. Again I personally fucking love it and when combined with the heavy armour of rotswords and sloven knights I'm a lot more interested in nurgle than I ever expected to be.

>>96957464>The antlers? The Kelpies?nurgle has had antlers for a long time, it's not enough to call them celticthe only truly new design element is the straw dolls and crowns, which has got to do with generic rurality way more than any more specific culture or religion

>>96957585They are Celtic in the Arthurian sense because they play upon the Order of the Fly chivalric fluff. The Arthurian canon reinvents pagan stories
>>96957528I understand the horses because the nurgle lord on steed was a fucking sweet model and so it makes sense go give him some pals, but yeah, they had good occasions to make the multipart pestigors more peculiar since they could have the darkwaters ones as being more classical, as well as injecting plenty of slimy mutations into the lowly jungi ito fuckers, or taking the opportunity of separating armored blightkings and exposed-belly blightkings by making the latter way more mutatedand they missed all of the occasions
>>96957635>they play upon the Order of the Fly chivalric fluffThe release has nothing to do with the order of the fly.

>>96956973The most blatant "dump the shit nobody buys" box I've ever seen.
>>96957646>>96957732Nta and eh maybe not explicitly but the darkwater stuff is also a Ghyranite holy order of chivalric knights corrupted from within by a follower of nurgle, and the main aos releasr largely follows the same aesthetic. Compared to old blight kings they're more heavily armoured, and that armour seems to be a bit more specifically geared towards that 15th century, chivalry, jousting competitions style. I'm no armour autist but they seem to wear tilting shields and stuff, and the "curtain" skirt/thigh guard or whatever it's called also seems to fit that vibe.
