She does as much housework as her grandma can't do, so given her 70s, that's a decent amount. She cooks pretty basic meals for herself to save grandma the effort, although grandma will often cook for her, too. Kaoru is extremely tidy with her own room, which is pretty barren and not very decorated at all. Sometimes, grandpa will give her wrestling or tokusatsu posters to hang up, but she doesn't take the hint, instead filing them as important gifts and keeping them in a folder somewhere.

>>96959369If I had to narrow it down I'd say FF6 in terms of tone
>>96959369Yeah being really loose with it so anons can make up legends and the results of different history as they go could work as well

>>96959628It's a taste issue actually. I could write my build falling from a 15 foot height and spraining his ankle, crippling him and causing him to lose his next fight, but I won't. >>96959711Low/mid power is more flexible and doesn't rely on hyperbole for its writing. Without a little grounding to season everything, your writing just turns into noise.
>>96959721High power is fun because characters get to do cool shit that isn't hyperbole. Mald.
>>96959711I guess when you say it like that, jerking off is pretty fun for one party at least.
>>96959711I think two mid power guys slowly but surely ruining a landscape in an actual battle where they have to think things out and strategize is more engaging a guy unleashing the 69th gate and obliterating a small continent while the other guy waits for his turn.

>>96959736BAD shonen stuff*
>>96959730I'm not particularly upset, I just don't understand your viewpoint. It is indeed hyperbole to say "yes, my character can tear planets in half". Even if the setting allows it, even if it would make a cool AMV, it still sounds goofy to the reader.

>>96959831Genuinely when did he do that though? He basically said "I find it fun, I don't care if readers find it goofy because I find it cool, cry about it". That's literally the most inpenetrable argument ever, no matter how you feel about it.
>>96959796So the real argument isn't about high or low, but wether the solution was an asspull or something that fit with the preestablished rules?
>>96959831I don't have fingers in my ears, but that's better than having them up my asshole like you
We should do an MP but instead of Shonen powerscaling is about GOONING.
>>96959846I think the real argument is technically high or low, with the argument for low being that its grounded, and the argument for high being that it's cool and also that if you can justify it then high power can be all 3/2 types.
>>96959841It's fine to do that by yourself, but by making a fuss about power level he's also trying to steer the thread in that direction for whatever CYOA we might choose to do next. Which is grating when it comes from someone being stubborn, rather than someone who's having a conversation. I'm not on a crusade for mudcore or whatever, but he seems to be for galaxy-splitting, since he refuses to consider anything less. Also, though it's cliche to say this on 4chan, that's not an argument, just a statement of refusal. We all did that as 2 year olds when we first learned about the word no, but it's not very helpful as adults. That doesn't make for good collaborative writing, nor does putting your foot down and refusing to budge from whatever position you happen to have taken on a given subject.
>>96959851And this is the guy expecting me to provide an argument. Sure, buddy.
>>96959881If you wanna act like a grown up, please realize that "it's subjective" is a very realargument. Get your head out of your ass.

>>96959901It's subjective until we're trying to make decisions based on people's tastes. Did we not spend hundreds of posts recently trying to think about good CYOA options to try next? That's not the place to be dogmatic and refuse to listen to other subjective tastes beyond one's own.
>>96959913>>96959901>>96959892This sucks ass can we go back to discussing actual CYOAs instead of posturing at each other.

>>96959936Personally I'm down for The Witcher.
>>96959936Nta but nothing was about to begin. They were talking about it but nobody wants to abbandon JITE yet. It's for later.
>>96959944I don't think he did. He said "I want to write", not I will.
>>96959945You're right in theory, but we barely have enough anons to write for the CYOAs we have now. Will splitting the field further like that make things any better?
>>96959916>That's not the place to be dogmatic and refuse to listen to other subjective tastes beyond one's own.But every time I do that, an MP starts? And every time anons try to suggest a cyoa, it always ends up going nowhere because someone will always hate whatever's suggested, unless someone like me ignores everyone else and just goes for it.

>>96959962What's your solution, genius? Good luck trying to enforce anons to play an MP they don't want to play. You can only control what you play.

>>96959953Witcher is too boring and too low power.
>>96959974If we only allow one MP, then they'll have nothing else to playAs proven by MHA, if anons feel like they only have one choice they'll inevitably bend the knee and join the MP no matter how much they claim to hate itIt might take a couple months but they'll obey given enough time
>>96959963This question is going to sound like an attack, but it's genuinely not. You said something that seems very contradictory though. Why are you painting yourself as the one who disliked everyone else's ideas enough to ignore them and go it your own way, though? Doesn't that make you this very person you mention, who always hates whatever's suggested and blocks other options in favor of their own preferred one?
>>96959993>only allow one MPOh so you were just shitposting, my bad for falling for it
>>96960002No, I agree. We should focus on JITE for a couple more years, then revive MHA.
>>96960000>Why are you painting yourself as the one who disliked everyone else's ideas enough to ignore them and go it your own way, though? Not everyone, there's no point if the MP doesn't have any supportI just don't back down because 1 guy's complaining because no matter what is suggested, there'll always be someone who hates it.
ZE HIGH POWER CHUDS ARE DESTROYING ZE GENERAL! WE MUST BAN ZEIR HIGH POWER MP FOR ZE SAKE OF ZE GENERAL!
>>96959974There's a lot of cool CYOAs in the low/mid, or even upper middle power range. They're flexible and allow for a broad range of story options that you don't get when characters all have table-sweeping powers. That's what I was suggesting. I'm not trying to force people, my goal was to support the guys who were proposing more big-tent CYOAs.
>>96960025Telling someone that their fun is wrong and no one likes it is not the way to do that, autist. You should try better methods to convince people.
>>96960038If you'll also point that same finger at the people who say that lower power CYOAs are the wrong kind of fun, I'll accept your comment. That line of argument cuts both ways.
>>96960064Wrong mindset. You're arguing apples to oranges, attempting to put yourself on a high horse while doing it. For the sake of the argument, the high power chud doesn't care if he's forcing people or not. You don't go "WELL THEY'RE DOING IT TOO SO I'M JUSTIFIED!", you go "I don't give a shit and don't actually care about the general purposes of unity I'm preaching" or "I do give a shit so I'll try a different approach". Act according to your goals.

Question for Momo-anon - what does the Fujiwara Senki's main base look like? Do they have any other meeting points/buildings in the Forbidden Districts? This was probably already described in other writefags but my memory is trash and I'd rather not scrounge for it.Should finish the HLA investigation piece tonight, tomorrow night at the latest. Right now it's just revising text and clearing up details.>>96959214Kenji lives with his Mother in a smaller home in the Traditional Arts district. It stands out a bit from the older architecture in surrounding buildings since Kenji's mom needs it to be wheelchair accessible. The place isn't extravagant, but they can afford it and Kenji has plenty of space to store his equipment and memorabilia. The most expensive item in the house is a grand piano, which gets used maybe once every other month when Kenji's mother is particularly depressed (and even then, only if he doesn't have a movie he'd rather film).>>96960416>JRPG Traitor run, yay or nay?Nay. I like the themes in JRPG stuff, but the higher end power levels in Traitor is just way too high for me to reasonably keep everything in mind when writing fights between 3+ builds. Maybe if we significantly reduce the number of tokens, but that's pretty lame.>Naruto run, yay or nay?Yay. I never joined in one, and the team aspect gives me Fate vibes, so that seems fun. Stopped watching the series a few episodes into Shippuden though, so not sure how lost I'd be.>Witcher run, yay or nay?Yay x2. Monster hunting is cool, so having an MP based around that would be cool too. It's always workshopped to hell and back.>Naruto run, yay or nay?Nay, we've wore it out quite a bit.>Witcher run, yay or nay?Yay, despite some people's sentiment towards the setting, I feel like there is enough to do in the world and it wouldn't be all to difficult to create setting plot hooks if people demand without changing the core CYOA.>HOTW run, yay or nay?Nay, only due to the fact that I could've swore the author behind it came by and was considering changes and I'd rather wait for that version.>Colonial Fairy Tail run, yay or nay?Yay, the concept is interesting enough and I think Fairy Tail hasn't seen enough of activity.>Magic Being Bottom Bitch rentryslop run, yay or nay?I have no clue what this is, but I guess Yay?
>>96960416Yay to all.
>>96960603which is better, witcher or bloodborne?
>>96959993That isn't what happened with MHA. MPs have come and gone during its reign. It has seemed dead and come back. No one thought it was the only option, it just has dedicated anons.
>>96960576I imagine probably something really really scary like a screamer jumping out at them and if they get saved they probably rationalize the experience as a nightmare or exposure to a gas leak
>>96960617Like as a setting or for an MP? Personally I prefer Bloodborne, the Hunt and the Dream are more interesting concepts for an MP because you have the ability to engage in fights whenever you want, interact with other builds super easily via summoning or meeting within the Hunter's Dream, and there are enough esoteric plothooks that naturally stem from all these Great Ones around to chase after if you aren't interested in those. Or just chill in the downtime and make weapons/friends.Witcher is neat but I feel like it's really difficult to engage with the setting if you aren't a Witcher yourself, or at the very least a Mage. Not much reasons to keep going around the world and meet other builds, or not capable enough to deal with all the potential threats that the setting provides otherwise. Nobles could sponsor others but it'd be more difficult to actually foster relationships as usually it'd be very little opportunities to interact otherwise. On the plus side though I think it's far easier to go with the Witcher CYOA as it is, over that Bloodborne CYOA which was posted earlier that might need some tweaks for making it more MP friendly.

>>96960651You'd know a lot about that, huh.
>>96960617Bloodborne and it isn't close
>>96960646actually that answers most of what i was curious about. id assume everyone in the witcher cyoa would probably play a witcher though right? wizards and kings could just as easily be played somewhere else, so maybe its not so bad to be all witchers since thats the unique part of the cyoa?
>>96960658>>96960646The bloodborne cyoa is barely bloodborne albeit.
>>96960651Yeah but my point stands even if you don't like it. Sometimes MPs I don't like stick around for what feels like forever. It it what it is. Before MHA, the titan of this place was Worm.
>>96960646>might need some tweaks for making it more MP friendly.I don't think it needs any for that. It works pretty well as is.>>96960660You can be 2 things, which adds a bit of variety.
>>96960663How so?
>>96960663Still isn't close
>>96960678Having multiple Chosen rank of the same God seems like it could be an issue, and the weapon/gem system feels way, way ,WAY too needlessly cumbersome. The rest is pretty solid i think.
>>96960678i do like multiclassing
>>96960660While true it would make the build variety pretty boring. There's only so many different Witchers you can create with the Schools. Even though you can have a wide variety of skills and mutations to distinguish yourself, your style of "Witchery" is largely determined by those, and also a majority of those schools only accept men. It's not set in stone or anything, but a lot of archetypes are going to be repeated if everyone's going a Witcher. There's some wriggle room with Fate Shards as the other anon pointed out but I think that otherwise it's pretty hard to incentivize the other build types.>>96960663Even so I think the setting allows for a more interesting dynamic between builds. Even though it sets itself in a modern version of the world, it's easier to dial it back and go into it as if it were closer to the games without changing much else.>>96960678I find that having so many Chosen will make it extremely difficult to make any other possible Hunters matter. Sure, among the other Chosen it'll be fine, but otherwise we'll be standing heads and shoulders above anyone else who possibly exists in the setting that it's a bit silly. I'm not arguing for being weaker than canon characters or whatever, but a Chosen acts as the leader or at the very least model version of what each particular Great One faction represents. It's going to be hard when multiple, especially of the same type, are acting as standout hunters and pretty much completely overwhelming anyone outside or even within their disciplines. Chosen aren't unbeatable or anything but I think it makes for a much more boring MP that way.I do have to agree with some limitations or simplifications with the weapon system. I actually do enjoy the Gems, but I think scaling it back for less choices so you can't absolutely minmax the hell out of it would be good. As to how the rest of the DLC would work, I have no clue, as some options are very interesting but also extremely overpowered, like Relics.
>>96960700>Having multiple Chosen rank of the same God seems like it could be an issueI don't think so, it would work out.
>>96960738Doesn't it force the players into PvP to determine who the actual #1 is?
>>96960731>will make it extremely difficult to make any other possible Hunters matter. That's way too exagerated. It would open the chance for a lot of interactions.
>>96960766Not if you're a chill guy. The Chosen of the Sea all enjoying the perks of being the top dogs together while the Chosen of the Blood tear each other apart to see whose blood is purest.
>>96960766Depends on the faction.
>>96960773Interactions with other players, sure. Interactions with Hunters in the setting, I don't think so. Being a Chosen carries a lot of weight, especially if that mantle can be taking by killing you in some factions. It's not just going to be a couple dozen Chosen Hunters exclusively in the Dream and I think it would be boring if so. I think the setting is great for interacting with other players for the reasons I mentioned before, I just don't want it to be where the players are going to act as the only Hunters.
>>96960776Speaking of which, chosen of blood seems far more powerful than the rest since you get to ignore blood madness or whatever it is that seems to be capable of destroying all other hunters. Feels like a no brainer pick.
>>96960804Only if you plan to hunt other hunters. But that is what's known within the Dream as "a dick move". The CYOA repeated says how all Hunters are allies because its you and them versus whatever lies within the Nightmares. All the options that requires you to turn on your fellow man usually directly tell you how it's going to isolate you in a world filled with threats.Unless you mean how they are generally more powerful because they can spam drinking blood and surpass other Hunters in strength. Then yeah they are pretty much the strongest, but they are the strongest in the most direct sense. Best general infusion and growth rate, but they are a hammer best suited for smashing against the tides of enemies, while others have more strength in being able to traverse the Dream, uncovering the secrets of the world, aiding others, etc.
>>96960830Tbf drink enough blood and eventually all problems really will become a nail. It'll just take a lot of blood. A LOT.
>>96960830The second part is what i was referring to yeah since multiple places in the cyoa lore and a few of the banes reference overconsumption of blood as a game over condition, so I assumed it was serious, and therefore immunity to it must be very strong.
>>96960839
>>96960855it's like that one family guy bit with the fat guy on thanksgiving
>>96960786Would Rejection be a playable option since its so far on the indeterminate free form side of things?
>>96960416>JRPG Traitor run, yay or nay?Yay. I'm cool with whatever we decide to do with the setting because making builds for the cyoa is fun. If we decided to make the Traitor stuff just background lore, then I'd probably make it something like dark souls if it was up to me. Have all the PCs huddled at a Firelink/Majula style hub when they aren't venturing out into hell. Might not be what people want from the MP though.>BloodborneMight as well cast a Yay vote for this too while we're at it.>Naruto run, yay or nay?Yay. It seems like we have a decent amount of fresh blood since the last time we did it, and our newfags are pretty active too. I also just have a soft spot for Naruto and early Shippuden, so I think anons like >>96960593 would probably end up making kino. I never seem to run out of build ideas for the cyoa either.>Witcher run, yay or nay?Nay. I tried, but never could get into the games or cyoa. It's not terrible or anything, but very meh.>HOTW run, yay or nay?Nay. I like stuff like Fallout, but the cyoa doesn't speak to me for some reason. I always have a harder time making a character than I expect to. I'm also just more in the mood for fantasy than sci-fi at the moment.>Colonial Fairy Tail run, yay or nay?Yay, I guess. Idk what that really is, but reskinning the Fairy Tail setting might shake things up. It's not high up on my list, but I can usually make the cyoa work.>Magic Being Bottom Bitch rentryslop run, yay or nay?Yay. No idea what this is, but I'm always down to try new cyoas.
>>96960839How does chosen of blood interact with lustful? Does the bane trump the blood immunity, or is that a good source of points for blood chosens?
>>96960416>Colonial Fairy Tail RunI mean you could use the rentry in it's current state, but I'm making an OC instead of doing that
>>96960883I don’t see why not. Rejection is an inherently weaker option anyway because you don’t have the freebies and less abilities. You are beholden to no master but lack any initial faction allies you’d usually have as well. As it is it’s a fine option since you’re trying something that isn’t the focus of the other Greater Ones, while also some unique options that can be really explored in an MP. Even if you close yourself off to the factions, others can still access the Dream you are in and interact, unless you specifically choose the pocket space ability to hide in.

How much can you enjoy Naruto, Witcher or (colonial?) Fairy Tail without ever having seen or played the original? Speaking of, is there any chance for PMD? I wanted to make a build when it was running but people told me it was dead and not to bother
>>96961348>>96961327T. Deadmen who have never played Battle Brothers
>>96961400>>96961327>>96961319>>96961348https://battlebrothers.fandom.com/wiki/OrcsIts hard to put into words how scary orcs are, but they have a free 15% bonus damage, a charge move that stuns your ass, more health than humans by a lot, more resolve, fuckhuge weapons that can oneshot if they land, and higher weapon skill than humans. The entire point of battlebrothers is that you're just some mercenaries. Not heroes, not adventurers. You can win because you outnumber them 3 to 1, but you might lose a guy in the process. You're far better off fighting poorly equipped untrained bandits than trained raider orcs.Don't even get me started on goblins or other threats. Atleast orcs just kill you, those fuckers will make your life hell with nets and poison and shit.Battlebrothers is a unique setting perfect if you love low power training and gearing their way to low-medium power. Once you're in full armor and have all the perks you can actually fight orcs and stuff and make big bucks.
>>96961400>>96961419I just wanna be fucked by cute orc girls bro. The method by which it happens is irrelevant.
>>96961371>PMDPossible, but I can't say because it depends on how many want to run it. Right now I'd guess not really because they want their mp to win and get a new run but you can try to pitch it to see interest. On an unrelated note I agree with picking JRPG traitor if only because I don't want to touch anything franchise related for a while longer.
>>96961428That only happens in asian media bro. You should've joined the other guy who wanted to play a monster girl setting.
>>96961255Id Monstrum? It's nice, but not mecha. It's more like having your personality split into two bodies, but the other body is a monster used to fight other monsters.
>>96961458Yeah, I don’t really like franchises as much comparatively either. Making a franchise OC is fun, but I usually get attached to my entirely original OCs more. But also, I like JITE, I like robots, honestly I don’t think we need a new MP unless robots doesn’t get traction (stuck at 4 builds right now and people don’t seem to be making any). In that case I’d be okay with JRPG Traitor. I’d pitch PMD because people seem to want teams, which PMD is perfect for, but also, it’s still a franchise and to my knowledge it was run somewhat recently too.
>>96961581One of the things holding PMD back for some is the fact you play as and with pokemon. Sure there are humanoid pokemon that exist as a race, but if you want that bonus, you can't guarantee you'll get the one you like. It also doesn't help that you need a separate resource to know what your options are, and sometimes they're inconsistent as move pools change in certain generations. It has the teams and crawling some want, but also some things those same kinds of people might not want to deal with.
>>96961581NTA, but PMD seems kinda boring and the cyoa isn't even very fun to make builds for. But maybe I'm just not enough of a pokemon nerd to get hyped about my pokemon using rock slide. Robots not getting much traction is to be expected. It's really short without a lot to work with. Usually stuff like this just goes along in its own corner until the few people into it having a decent amount of fun until something bigger comes along they can really sink their teeth into.I kinda agree on franchises, plus most have been done to death. Naruto would be alright to me despite its previous runs, just because the cyoa has a lot of fun options to build a character around. But I'd prefer something like JRPG traitor. I think the teambuilding aspect is still there in the form of parties and/or guilds, so people who want that element can get it easily. Plus if you have full on faction wars that could be cool. Huge worlds tend to be a struggle here, but there are probably several ways to run the MP if anons are worried about that.
>>96961458>>96961648Do these count as extra votes for jrpg traitor?
>>96961662I voted already, so at least one doesn't.
>>96961648Why the hell is it even called “Traitor”, anyway? Who’s the traitor? Also I might be tempted to try making a villain this time, if we actually go ahead with this.
>>96961753Have you even read the cyoa?
>>96960593>Question for Momo-anon - what does the Fujiwara Senki's main base look like?Something like pic related. It was an abandoned warehouse they repurposed as a hub for their main members, which also serves as a meeting spot for the others. >Do they have any other meeting points/buildings in the Forbidden Districts? Yes. The old subway tracks are a favorite, though sometimes they break into abandoned buildings with the help of Dawn. Unless they really need the secrecy, Momo won't drag anyone to hideout and will pick the closest spot available.>This was probably already described in other writefags but my memory is trash and I'd rather not scrounge for it.It hasn't actually, I'm in the middle of writing Parfaite putting the hideout in order with her maid powers.

>>96961294man why you gotta be like that
>>96961884Pretty sure there's only 1.0. it's the version we used in the past runs plus what was edited for a rebalanced version.
>>96961937Weren't there also some korean DLCs or something like that?
>>96961976Last I recall it was mostly fan made companions similar to how we did cards alongside a translation of the original, but I didn't navigate the site much to see if they had extra powers.
>>96961937I see. In that case, I might as well start coming up with a build if we’re actually gonna go through with it. I’ve checked some stuff and I think I’ll take inspiration from pic related. I’m confused, though: this CYOA involves, to my understanding, enough story prompts to choose a whole party of heroes and an overlord, betray them, and then have an end to the story. Do we all betray the same party? Do we all have the same overlord? Or do we only choose the character creation options and ignore the story prompts?
>>96961987We only used pages 1, and 10-15 which are basically just the powers. The rebalanced version changes the point distribution of the first page to compensate for the not using all the path stuff. Premise varies but one of the runs had each of the players be the traitors of their timeline coming together in a single timeline.
>>96962013Aw darn, are we gonna have to agree on a new premise? That sounds convoluted. I’ll do it, if that’s what people want, but it does seem complicated. Also in that case I’m gonna have to know how the rebalancing works
I wish there was a middle ground between planetbusting high power and get shanked and die in a ditch mudcore
>>96962018New premise seems to be this >>96959369 but it's still up for discussion. Basically create a member of your typical fantasy party but all the hero, traitor, overlord stuff are things of legend. The rebalance are two extra pages to replace page one. I think there were price changes or bans on powers but you don't have to worry about that now since they were house rules that changes from run to run.
>>96962040Then page two, and use the same page 10-15
>>96962013How many points did we use?
>>96962040Can you still betray people, though? What if I want to have a character that’s working WITH the overlord?
>>9696204615 basic and 15 advanced if my math is correct.>>96962047Yeah probably. We even had straight up villains last time. Still, it's up to debate if that's what we're rolling with, or if we're doing a villain run. I didn't really caught up and am just providing what I know.
>>96962029Do not start that again, you've already been told once.
>>96962040Is the powers table still like nine pages long?
>>96962081Isn't it only 6? 3 pages for each of the basics and 3 for each of the advanced. All in all about 7-8 pages to post.
>>96962095Maybe I'm misremembering some, it felt very bloated last I looked at it. And a lot of it was tied to prerequisites which gave a feeling of smallness despite its size.

>>96962253>the perfect amount we reached after multiple runs of perfecting the balanceFor who? It's not even half of what you should have. It defeats the whole point of using JRPG traitor.
>>96962272This is shit compared to a real build, and boring too.
Please... This is a repeat of the argument you guys had yesterday...
>>96962272oh my god it's this faggot again
>>96962275The normal points are for making post-endgame gods who have completed their quest completely and defeated all the heroes and villians and taken out the gods controlling the world. We nerfed the points for a reason. Our builds are still high power. Make your own run if you want us to all be gods who have absolute control over our surroundings and stuff. Spending all the points you get normally is difficult without becoming broken to an absurd degree.
>>96962253>But you can't reach godhood. Then what's the point? That's what JRPGs are for, you took out the best part.
>>96962272He ain't listening bro but good attempt anyway
>>96962260This was some old idea: https://desuarchive.org/tg/thread/95754541/#95762263Besides that we can just come up with something. People wanted adventuring parties and such, so maybe we can just go to some time when the land was wilder and there were more witches around?
>>96962292>becoming broken to an absurd degree. That's the point of the setting.
>>96962253I wonder if it'd be better to just use the real power pages but keep the 15/15 rules. Idk if the rebalanced costs were necessary. IIRC the higher costs didn't stop some powergamey stuff anyways, so we could just call builds gay and soulless like usual when it applies. Might keep some archetypes from feeling cucked if they try to diversify a bit.
>>96962304To do what exactly?
>>96962283Its a focused mage build who has absurd mastery of their element of choice while also maintaining survivability and variety of magic and even firearms and stuff. It means you can build just fine with 15/15>>96962291Obviously im still here. I believe in JRPGtraitor I'll keep trying. But a lot of the time it gets smothered in the cradle by this guy who thinks were making it low power because he never actually played it and then anons get put off by the 'argument' thinking its contentious when everyone else but that guy was perfectly fine with their builds and we got a bunch of writing and everything.
>>96962315Becoming god and killing other gods. It's the base of all JRPGs.
>>96962324But its not a JRPG, its a MCYOA.
>>96962319It's a shitty one trick pony.
>>96962272Anon I agree, but please make a new build if we actually do end up doing a JRPG MP kek. I'm tired of seeing this one.
>>96962304Go back to your kekkai build in Nardo. Upgrade your sharigan and take eight gates.
>>96962336I didnt plan to bring them back, though im sad because it was actually really cool how darkness at that level of mastery worked.
>>96962331Based on JRPGs, if you want to ignore the genre play something else instead of butchering the setting.
>>96962331Just stop arguing with him.
>>96962324Why are you wanting to just tread the same ground all JRPGs have walked?
>>96962342And of course, every JRPG has you start out as a god destroying monster
>>96962349He's just trying to rile you up. Obviously you don't start out as a god in JRPGs.
>>96962349Because it's good, there's a reson why they keep doing it, it's fun. Unlike this shit.
>>96962359>Obviously you don't start out as a god in JRPGs.And this is relevant how? We don't have progression here, you can't grow stronger, you are stuck as a shitter for the whole MP.
>>96962370That's just you, actually.
>>96962370We can literally do progression though, and have done it.Just give people a couple more points after we have dungeon clear or two writefagged.I don't think its wise to only give it to people who write though. Better to evolve the entire guild at once.
>>96962370Just write yourself getting stronger dumbass.
>>96962380I agree with you in theory, but in practice waiting for writefagging to level up is a dubious thing at best.
>>96962380Mfw my dump finally becomes a god after sitting on the bench while everyone else fought and bled for their power up
>>96962380>>96962381That never works. Everyone shits on you for the smallest thing you learn.
>>96962388It worked for MHA :^)
>>96962388We had the entire PMD run of it, though it msotly ended up with the same few people getting stronger and a buncha build updates. Thats why I think its better to level everyone up at once periodically. Like when the MHA crew all advanced at once.
>>96962400That's cause they all just sat around jerking each other off for a hundred threads. No shit they all loved giving each other points.
>>96962359Fair enough.>>96962361My way or the highway, huh?
Sooo what premise do we go with?
>>96962400That was not progression in the cyoa. The awakenings are not supported by the cyoa, they made them up. You can't get more points for those.>>96962404PMD has it built in, and even then there was backlash.
>>96962428We don't, it's shit and we should play something good instead.
>>96962269You're a cool supermutant dude who kills and/or fucks monsters and doesn't afraid of anything. And who might also be a wizard or king at the same time. How's that lame?
>>96962428NoneI've thoroughly poisoned the wellDo you really want to play another MP with these people instead of enjoying JITE/Robots?
>>96962380>I don't think its wise to only give it to people who write though. Better to evolve the entire guild at once.leech behavior
>>96962438I want to enjoy JITE/Robots, but I think JRPG Traitor is cool too and if Robots doesn't get traction, JRPG Traitor might be a good substitute. Hell, I'm already designing the character.
>>96962423>My way or the highway, huh?Nta, but progression into a god is part of the JRPG feel. Since progression never works I would rather not be limited to a starter character.
>>96962444>Hell, I'm already designing the character.Don't waste the effort, it won't start. Just bring back SC if you want something else.
>>96962444It's shit, get over it
>>96962428For JRPG Traitor or for the Witcher?
>>96962443But then nobody will want to join late cause its too late.Better to buff newcomers cause it encourages more people to join and make new characters to revitalize the run
Bloodborne is what I wanna do right now cause im sick of the shitposters arguing about JRPG even though I know its their goal to kill it.
>>96962469I feel like I don't know the setting well enough to play it.
>>96962436Because all that stuff is lame in the setting
>>96962472Thats why the fantasyslop is good, it means you dont really need to know the setting since were primarily focusing on delving into dungeons (Whatever they were called, grail dungeons? or something)
>>96962448I kinda get where you're coming from, but if you're at the summit already, and as you mention progression also isnt an option to give you new heights to reach for, where's the gameplay?
>>96962488Well they cant ALL be lame in-setting. One of them has to be the most powerful among the options.
>>96959214I am torn between having yaya live in a mansion or just an apartment. But i think the consensus is that she has an apartment all to herself. She could have an apartment in the nicer side of kageoka. She is left alone there though because her parents and siblings are often away doing their jobs
>>96962453I'd like to do Spirit Conscript, totally, but it kinda seems like it'd be a one-man effort. >>96962461JRPG Traitor. But my ideal situation would be to keep doing JITE, regardless of anything, and either Robots gets traction or Spirit Conscript comes back. If Robots doesn't work, JRPG Traitor might be cool to try.
>>96962469I dislike the bad faith arguers, so I'll second this option. >>96962472However I too would like some lore assistance, for I also am unclear on it.
>>96962463Every action story ever is like this anyways. People get stronger off screen or new allies/enemies emerge who match the strength of the heroes. It's not a big deal at all. Again, there's no point in engaging with people who are just saying whatever they can to keep you arguing and make others check out. They just want something else and are being annoying about it. It happens. Better to just discuss with interested anons.
>>96962490Nta, chalice dungeons. They are even a part of the cyoa.>>96962491Just doing things with what you have? I would like progression, that's a lot more imortant than being strong from the start, but people here are way too against it. You can do a lot of things as a godlike being too, and JRPGs are full of other comparable beings not tied to the main plot. Secret bosses, endgame dungeons, stuff like that. Since the proposal was dungeon delving we could easily have the secret sealed dungeon that only gods can enter.
>>96962514Such a cool design wasted on a character that will end up so shitty.
Rolled 3 (1d3)Let's see which build I'm going to make1. The Light of Law2. The Origin of Evil3. That Which Scars the World
>>96962463>implying we have newcomers>implying it hasn't been the same 10 anons for the past year or two gnawing old bonesI admire your optimism though.
>>96962531All of these are too good for the level of power you can have.
>>96962514Also, regardless of the shit flinging, I think JRPG Traitor is worth playing normally first if you haven't before. It's a really cool single player CYOA. It introduces a lot of the worldbuilding through mentors and companions and whatnot. I always viewed the mechanical build options at the end as more worldbuilding really. Could help inspire your MP build later just from knowing more about the lore. The art looks sick already tho
>>96962515>However I too would like some lore assistance, for I also am unclear on it.Ask away. I will do my best to answer about game lore. Keep in mind, we can change stuff around, the cyoa is not supposed to be 100% game.
>>96962531Congratulations, you're making an Eldrazi from magic.
>>96962532We got a couple of new people lately. And some not so new anons were not there for the other runs. I was not there for any of the JRPG traitors runs, but I was there the last time it was suggested.
>>96962542As I understand it, the fundamentals of this setting is that you're a person IRL, but when you go to sleep you're basically spirit walking as a superhero who's powered by not-Cthulus? And then you basically play Doom and rip your way through a horde of intentionally mysterious and unexplained enemies? And also there's an infinity of randomly generated special chalice zones? The True Final Boss of the nightmare is unknown, or no? You need blood to heal and level, but if you try and use too much you turn into Chaos Spawn?
>>96962539Is it weird that I don't actually like single-player CYOAs that much? It's fun for a while, but I'd rather do this as a "test run" of the guy I would make if I do that at all. The thing is the points are gonna be different, so that's weird. I think what I can do is just read over what characters exist in this world, or have at least been designed for it, and get inspiration. I'm still not sure if JRPG Traitor is gonna happen, I'm just waiting for more JITE or Robots content (weird that everyone's taken to me calling that CYOA just "Robots" when it's like 3675 AD or something like that, which is cooler, but harder to remember).>The art looks sick already thoAnon... I literally just take things from something else and remix them lmao I think I still gotta find this guy's design though. My idea is a demihuman that's been coerced by the overlord, or a villain of some kind, into being their knight in order to protect a loved one. I kinda wanted to try the perfect form skill, a bunch of sword skills and especially darkness magic. I wish there was like, a "summon spectral armour" spell or something like that, an armour of shadows or a shadow element weapon or somethinh. Ooooh wait, what if he uses a scythe? That'd be cool, I'm already running with angel imagery that I used with Cain but Cain is a lot more "holy" while this guy is more twisted, a bit more Sephiroth-esque with a single burning wing, maybe the original Demihuman lost one of his wings in battle and made a deal to return to the battlefield without knowing his little sister or someone like that would be compromised, so now he has to fight for the overlord to protect them.Eh, this might never get used but I like creating these concepts so much that I wanted to throw it out there anyway. I should probably write something with Cain for Robots even if the only thing I can really do is wait for the Lysis writefag and make a "reply" to that, maybe
>>96962589JITE has plenty of content but also we've covered it pretty throughly. Robots is fresh but empty and boring.
>>96962602Well the thing with JITE is that there's a lot of plots that still have to happen. I just came out of writing a HUGE writefag with The Riddle Parts 1 and 2, and I don't know if I want to jump into another one immediately. I had this idea where Madoka and Yaya would take Kaoru to the mall and have a little makeover episode, and Kaoru would also go to the SPEARS Inc. offices to investigate Marisa's dad so that plot is advanced too. I'm actually not that great at writing mysteries if it's left entirely to myself, but I want to expose what Itsukianon and Tetsuyanon have been conceptualising about what happened to Marisa's dad. I also don't want to oversaturate JITE with my content, I want to leave a bit of space for the other long-awaited writefags to arrive.
>>96962514Nta but I'd like to do SC after JITE.
>>96962589>I'm already running with angel imagery that I used with Cain but Cain is a lot more "holy" while this guy is more twisted, a bit more Sephiroth-esque with a single burning wing, maybe the original Demihuman lost one of his wings in battle and made a deal to return to the battlefield without knowing his little sister or someone like that would be compromised, so now he has to fight for the overlord to protect them.Are... are you a time traveler? Did you come here from the founding days of edgy donut steels? Do you post on DeviantArt or Myspace, perchance? Do they still play Adventure Quest in your realm? Quickly my boy, return from whence you came and invest in Google and Amazon before it's too late!
>>96962563>you're a person IRL, but when you go to sleep you're basically spirit walkingNot really. The world is changed, the Dreams are spilling into reality, like an infection, so you remain a hunter in the real word too.>And then you basically play Doom and rip your way through a horde of intentionally mysterious and unexplained enemies? And also there's an infinity of randomly generated special chalice zones? You do fight the beasts like Doom Guy yes, they are not that unexplained tho. They are usually derived from an old one or another, they carry the blood of that Old One, like some look like werewoleves, some look like fish, because that's what the origin looks like. The Old ones are not easy to reach, but they exist and can be killed. The Chalice dungeons are essentiallly custom dreams, you make a ritual and create one on the spot. They contain the memories of the past, and the stuff you find in there can be much stronger than the other dreams. In the game at least.>The True Final Boss of the nightmare is unknown, or no?There are multiple Nightmares, as many as there are dreams. Each nightmare has a boss and killing it dispels the nightmare. If you mean the whole world changing then yes, the one who did that is unkown, if it was even a single entity. In the game the world is just like that, we can go with that if the world suddenly changing is not a good setting.>You need blood to heal and level, but if you try and use too much you turn into Chaos Spawn? You don't need blood to heal, you need blood to heal fast, otherwise as long as you have blood remaining in you all wounds will heal in time. Bloodlust is a problem, the quantity you need is exponential to level up more, but you don't always end up crazy. What you turn into depends on your bloodline, the Old One you took powers from or whaever to took blood from the most, you can resist the hunger and it helps if you stop for a bit. You can keep your sanity if you have enough Insight.
>>96962629joke's on you JITE will never end just like MHA
>>96962638Sounds like its kind of a procedurally generated game, then. Almost roguelike with the chalice dungeons.
>>96962629I’d be okay with that. Anything to bring back the absolute PEAK of Spirit Conscript, glory to the Overseer Elite Squad>>96962637Anon, my previous characters have been a hungry dim-witted friendly beast, a cheeky bratty fairy and a neurotic sentai heroine. (Cain doesn’t count, I haven’t written for him yet) I think it’s high time I make a more tormented villain, even if I’m overcorrecting (I can be a bit of an old soul, I guess?)
JRPG Traitor but it's got a Lands Between vibe.
>>96962655The original game had a story and a main map, the dungeons were are surprisingly deep side thing. But they are canon and tied to the lore. Also I ran out of characters so I will say it here. Insight is a double edged sword, like the cyoa already tells you, too much of it can fuck you up if you're not careful, but you also need it to even see the higher power creatures.

>>96962729Nta but we were discussing a soft reboot. Who wants to bring back the old character can, but we start over, or we only bring back the stuff relevant to the characters that actually did come back.
>>96962729I fucking loved Jakunatori. My ideal scenario would be returning to Spirit Conscript as it was at the start of the year, but maybe that’s not sustainable. If most people don’t bring back their old builds in case of a reboot, I probably won’t either, but we’ll see. I just think Jakunatori had so much potential that not using him again would be a waste.

>>96963978Worth noting that naruto has the most 'Not this one' votes tooJRPG has people not voting for it but comparatively few truly against it.
>>96964172The ones that are against it seem to be highly against it though.
>>96964172I'm not sure that is worth noting, actually.
>>96963978So, Witcher anons, let's settle on the scenario.1. Peace Summit scenario: 1270, not long after the Second Northern War, a border incident endangered the frail truce. A peace summit has been called to try to prevent the war from breaking out once again, but that's not to everyone's interest. More details at: https://desuarchive.org/tg/thread/95754541/#957622632. Early Witcher Schools scenario: 10th century, the lands are still wild and full of monsters, but the infant Witcher order has already fractured into multiple schools. However, with dangers abound, not only witchers of various schools, but even braves of other kind band together to explore and tame these lands full of wonders and mysteries.3. You, yes (You), Anon, can provide another scenario if you have something in mind.
>>96964172>>96964196Do votes against something even matter? Those anons will just sit that one out.
>>969642252 seems the most flexible. Presumably also the most directionless though.
>>96964244We could expand it a bit, to try to focus it more. Like maybe some magical catastrophe occurred someplace and released a bunch of monsters? Or if anons want to do dungeons then say that some ancient elven ruins were discovered somewhere or something? The seals on Alzur's hidden lair have been breached and it needs to be contained? A passage to some previously unknown valley has opened where it wasn't before? Or maybe we could try to use noble PCs as sort of questgivers to help give direction to the MP?
>>96964225for option 1 are the players supposed to run this peace conference or is the gm supposed to run it based on whatever the players are doing to the narrativei kind of like the idea of a witcher knowledgeable anon showing us how our actions make the world respond.
>>96964225Question: why did the witcher school split?
>>96963978Votes are useless when there are so many obvious samefags for all of them
>>96964359>salty HOTWfag
>>96964225I think we should get rid wither infertility and have witches schools be more like clans bred for different monster slaying specialities.
>>96964304I assumed it's just PC/writefag ran, but if we had an anon willing to gm the big picture, I think we could try that. I'm not that knowledgable about witcher, since I've read the books a long time ago, but with help of wikis I could give it a shot. I don't have that much time, so the big picture updates wouldn't be that often/extensive. More likely, summaries of the outside events and some prompts for the factions and events.>>96964345https://witcher.fandom.com/wiki/Order_of_Witchers#Fall_of_the_Order
>>96964304We don't have gms for non arenas normally. But a lore expert helping to set up the consequences could be cool. I was planning to kinda do that for bloodborne when someone asked questions. Controlling too much goes against the mp style tho.
>>96964359How ya doing hater anon thought we'd lost you for a moment there
>>96964390I'm not a hater. It's just a useless metric.
>>96964366>They just started killing and betraying each other for no reason
>>96964366I guess it was just a prolonged power struggle then. Shame, I was hoping it might have been something the pcs could get tangled up in more without just being pvp.
>>96964413That happens a lot in history.
>>96964428Not really
>>96964424We could retcon it/expand on it if we want to. That version is just based on some expansion book for the newer ttrpg. Do you have an alternative idea?
>>96964225And it seems that the final version is actually 2.2 https://imgchest.com/p/ljyqxjqdo42?grid=1
Episode 4 is 60%, yes you heard right, 60% done!
>>96964386It'd be more like one anon playing the background itself i guess. A gm in the sense that they show how canon forces respond to our writefags, but not a gm in the sense that they can't enforce player actions maybe. They could be like "ok because witcher Greg butchered half the elves in this province, elf king doomfucker is coming for his ass. Consider siding with or against the king in your next stories, or simply evading the chaos altogether." It's not exactly team play like some anons mentioned, but it would help tie wandering witchers together maybe
>>96964434Paranoia and a lust for power aren't as rare as your think they are.
>>96964465Those are reasons, dummy
>>96964437Hmm, ill have to ponder it some. Gut answer is internal factionalism grows to the point where people see themselves as schools first, witchers second and eventually that forces them apart, rather than just "i am going to murder you now". Though some murder is always fun. Basically like the breakup of a confederated nation, with outside forces trying to bribe these warriors to their side, internal forces trying to gather popular support, accusations of tyranny, the whole polish-lithuanian commonwealth (or yugoslavia) deal. Which also technically lets some anons make their own breakaway schools too. Other option that comes to mind is trying to cover too much ground. The school is put under more and more pressure to manage monsters across human lands, and begins to decentralize in order to recruit faster. Secondary fortifications set up in good areas take on lives of their own, developing independent cultures and ultimately paying no heed to the remaining central authority. Gives the option of a "true Witcher school" forever disputing the legitimacy of the sub schools, scheming to reclaim what was theirs and being heavily politically involved, which might be cool. Just spitballing.
>>96964345They thought it would be funny.
>>96964366>SpoilerThat sounds fine actually. A bit hands off, not too intrusive. But if it's too much trouble maybe it's better to pass the mantle. >>96964456That does make sense, a bit. Seems like it wouldn't take too much time depending on the scale.
>>96964515>>96964465>>96964434>>96964428It's rarely for no reason, but almost always a reason is chosen, to provide a veneer of legitimacy for your actions if nothing else.
>>96964554Those reasons are legitimate anyways
>>96964531>forever disputing the legitimacy of the sub schools,That's what the wolf school is in canon by the way.
>>96964562Being terrified someone else is gonna get you first is not a legitimate reason to have your compatriots executed paranoiabro.
>>96964567Ah, I see. How powerful can magic get in this setting? Could you have a cataclysmic event which physically separates groups of witchers for a prolonged time (along with everyone else), thus causing independent cultures to develop island style while everyone tries to figure out what the hell happened X years ago?
>>96964580>mfw
>>96964531>Which also technically lets some anons make their own breakaway schools too.>Gives the option of a "true Witcher school"My one issue with it is that the witcher school is one of the choices in the cyoa if you make a witcher, so in a way we'd still be bound to those, unless we allow for some big homebrew.Speaking of, we'll likely need to adjust a couple options to get the scenario going because by default the cyoa is isekai based.I guess it'd be something like:Scenario:-Across Time is either banned or mandatory and free (depending which scenario we go for)-Ignore the first two rows of Control the Chaos, they are scenario basedNon-isekai:-Force Sex and Secret Physiology are free-Twisted Spheres is bannedSFW:-ignore the last page
>>96964592Technically yes. Not by a person as far as I know but magical disasters are a thing. Also the world is known to periodically merge briefly with others and that causes all kinds of shit to happen.
>>96964622Well, I now know that the wolves are already the original school, so don't worry about that one.
>>96964627>each and every witcher school is just the unified school from a different timeline, crashed into this one and forced to share>all of them remember defeating the other contenders to their respective thrones by various means to ensure their vision's primacy>crisis on infinite witchers>shenanigans.jpg
>>96964622>isekai basedThat's not a problem, that's part of canon.
>>96964622Looking it over more, I think we could just ignore Control the Chaos section entirely, it's pretty much just companions. We've got other PCs for that.
>>96964686I agree, companions aren't necessary for multiplayer.
>>96964686If a pc build would pick up a lot of companions, they could just say theyre "well connected" overall instead maybe.
>>96964686It's not just companions, it has other things too so ignoring it completely is not really a good idea.
>>96964713I think some skills and noble domain stuff could actually cover that as is.>>96964747What exactly? The first two rows are pretty much just world effects so scenario covers that.Third row is nemesis, fourth row is companions. Both fall under that "just treat PC as such or write an NPC into your backstory". The only one I see that could really affect character creation is Private Tutor.NSFW also falls under that, but we want to get rid of it anyway since this ain't /trash/
>>96964747Nah we should ignore it so we can gatekeep suppressed sourcecels out of learning magic
>>96964761Lower Wish, that's pretty important. Private Tutor is also really important for some builds, you can't get rid of that, it's a key part for magic builds.NSFW can be ignored, that's a companion anyway. Some of that stuf does have utility out of NSFW situations but we don't miss much.
>>96964809>it's a key part for magic builds.Just don't go to a witcher school lil bro
>>96964809Lower wish is pretty much just a drawback thing, as in you can get another Wish for Destiny if you take one of the chaotic options. I don't think we really need that. Similarly for Private Tutor. We don't really have a reliable way to pay for those, because Nemesis is pretty lame, and world events would affect everyone. If really needed, we could say you can buy Private Tutor with your Wish for Destiny instead.
>>96964847That will lower the variety of builds a lot.
>>96964847Private Tutor not being available cripples mage builds in the second scenario, since every school is only available after 1107.
>anons get one single lower wish>mages can get a private tutor for free if they want>nobody cares about any other optionTada.
>>96964847Will it? I feel like even without the Lower Wish and Private Tutor there is still quite a lot of variety there. I guess if really needed, we could say that everyone gets the Lower Wish, but that just sounds like a needless powerbump to me.>>96964889I'd say we should just ignore that requirement then. I have no idea why that requirement is even there. Aretuza and Ban Ard were founded in 839 according to google, dunno about the others, but I'd just allow them too.>>96964908I think anons want Private Tutor for non-mages.
>>96964925The first part was supposed to be for >>96964867
>>96964908This works. You can't get more than one lower wish and we may want some of those chaos scenarios anyway. Especially if we go with scenario 2, which seems to be where we are going.
>>96964580>Killing and betraying each other for no reason is common in historyParanoia is completely justified
>>96964925The way I see it we all have the same chaos drawbacks, because they fit the wlild lands scenario we have, so everyone having both of those if they want them makes sense, it is a more dangerous scenario.
do we have a link to the witcher cyoa so I can read what you guys are talking about?
I don't want to bring up dead arguments, but if anons wanted to play jrpg traitor when it's only the power section that gets used, why not monster girl dungeoneering but you can choose 6 skills separate from the ones required for the specialization? At least it would avoid that guy and have relatively the same setting.
>>96965009>>96964450
>>96965009It's here >>96964450
>>96964925>needless powerbump to me.The world is dangerous, it's justified. And the Lower Wish is very limited, you can't get that much with it.
>>96965016I'd have to assume>the power section
>>96965016I did propose we use that cyoa with 9 skills instead of 6, which would be the same as what you proposed. I got told the cyoa doesn't have enough variety for it anyway.
>Shitcher was the MP the shitposter from JRPG Traitor earlier was pushing>Suddenly very little shitposting when Shitcher is the one going to be playedI'm nooticing.
This is supposed to be low power?
>>96965016Go check the powerpicker in JRPG Traitor and the powerpicker in Monster Girl Slop and get back to me
>>96965016Because it isn't relatively the same setting and the JRPG powers are cooler
>>96965053ShitposterGODS own mcyoagThis has been known for years now
>>96965062To get any of those you need to essentially make another build from scratch.
>>96965053>>96965105It's the low power nazis making their first move to exterminate the high power race actually.
>>96965062Path to COPEacy isn't canon lil broit's also a singleplayer adventure
>>96965053You gotta give it time for me to brew up another load of shit anon, my bowels only churn so fast you know
>>96965105Yes and no. It helps with getting an mp started but also they just fall through immediately because the shitposter samefagging to make it happen doesn't have the strength to keep multiple builds active. Once the mp starts and anons start to realize there's like 2 anons actually willing to put effort in it's joever.
>>96965071I can understand it not being as substantial to jrpg traitor especially since there's no advancement or tired powers but we can't even touch it without a sperg out happening.
>>96965049This is a much better idea, but nobody will do it.
>>96963108>Are anons really moving on already?Technically yes. Honeymoon wore off, that's all. The dumpers who weren't going to do anything have already moved on by now. Now it's just the anons who are frauding and the effortfags. It looks a bit lonlier but in the end nothing really changed.
>>96965133It's an interesting diversion in between waiting for the JITE posts to trickle in at least.
>>96965053How dare you. I much prefer Bloodborne.
>>96965053>the complaints stop when the thing being complained about stopshow strange, it feels so unnatural
>>96965113>>96965117So do we also ignore that section? Two less pages to post/less confusion. To sum up the current scenario and rules:-Early Witcher Schools scenario: 10th century, the lands are still wild and full of monsters, but the infant Witcher order has already fractured into multiple schools. However, with dangers abound, not only witchers of various schools, but even braves of other kind band together to explore and tame these lands full of wonders and mysteries.-Fracture the Path is mandatory and free, see above-From Control the Chaos section, you get Lower Wish for free and may pick up Private Tutor for free also. Ignore the rest of the section and refer to the scenario above.-Ignore the year requirement for Magic Academies-Ignore Path to Primacy and Forbidden Fruits-Force Sex and Secret Physiology are free-Twisted Spheres are banned, you land in the scenarioHave I missed anything?
>>96965151>he doesnt sperg out as oftenly as humanly possibleLow energy post, you gotta clear the pipes for your own health anon.
>>96965242Remind me why we want lower wish to be free again?
>>96965263Some anons said that it opens up more build versatility and the dangerous scenario warrants more power similar to chaotic events of that section.
>>96965263Because the scenario we have has all the chaos drawbacks built in, we should get like 4 things for free. It's also not that powerful.
Witcher feels like it has no variety
>>96965113>>96965117What about this?
Are there many magical rulers in the witcher canon? Does that happen normally enough to be tolerated or is it more of a "oh god the peasants are going to burn the prince" sort of deal?
>>96965242>Twisted Spheres are bannedWhy? The conjuction is a canon thing, not an excuse the author came up with to allow you to self insert.
>>96965312Skill issue. But in all truth it has at least 8 class options, with all the subvariants proceeding from that. I'm not a mathologist but that's a pretty good sized factorial, plus whatever your actual writing generates.
>>96965317Those are things that exist in canon. Game canon to beprecise.
>>96965156Bruh, no say. We still have many effortfags left. Me, Kaoru anon, Momo anon, Alyona anon is writing something, Shu anon, Tomaki anon is also here.Kohaku anon is writing a piece, so is Keiji anon. Tetsuya anon is also writing something to my knowledge, Yae anon was active not so long ago, I haven't seen Ai's anon in a while tho...Also, Parfait anon. JITE is nowhere being done or ready to move yet, anon Rin anon also appeared again in this thread too.
>>96965326It kind of does nothing here, and we hate isekaijin
>>96965320It's more common to have a normal ruler with a magical advisor or two. There is some prejudice from what I remember.
>>96965154What's the difference when you're going to be locked into 3 skills just to pick up a specialization anyway? Aren't they both 9 in total?
>>96965326At least looking at the option itself, it's not just about being from a different world, but specifically about the reader getting inserted into the witcher world (possibly with a genderbend), which is isekai we tend to avoid, and picking where you land, which we cover by the scenario. Just being form otherworlder is covered by an option under Destiny Awaits, AKA being a monster.
>>96965374Is it serious enough that the people might force a sorcerous ruler-to-be to take one of the beauty rituals in order to ensure no magical bloodline holds the throne by rendering them infertile, or is it more of a "grumbling about flaunting tradition" sort of thing?
>>96965361But Witcher is an isekai setting. Humanity got there during the last conjunction, everyone is a descendant of an isekai. Elves and Dwarves too. It would allow for an otherworlder build, the race, that is actually from another world like they are supposed to be. None would be from our world.
>>96965359I never said that albeitI just said the dumpers moved on, and the frauds and effortfags we still have are named in your post (although I think there's a few more)I'm hoping JITE lives AT LEAST long enough for my next 5 or so writefags, I wanna write a PLOT...
>>96965408Species isekai versus individual isekai has different vibes.
>>96965385I meant compared to JRPG traitor, not to the other proposal. But the 9 skills rule would allow someone to not get a specialization and just get 9 unrelated skills, if they want to for whatever reason.
>>96965432Just like MHA, JITE will probably never really be gone even if it slows down a lot. You have no need to fear.
>>96965398>>96965439That option could be used to make a member of the other races that is old enough to have been there during the actual conjunction with the rest of the race. Since we are in the past it's even more possible, Elves and Dwarves live for a long time, and some humans have magic for that.
>>96959214I'll just throw out the previous prompt as a reference point.https://archive.4plebs.org/tg/thread/96599769/#96602454
>>96965470That doesn't sound so bad, although likewise I'm not sure what benefits it brings us overall.
>>96965484No real benefit apart from variety of backstories. Only real lore experts would be able to make something deep with it, but the classic old stubborn Dwarf is a classic for a reason and needs not much lore knowledge.
I want to answer the JITE prompt but I'm still catching up.
>>96965504Since we're in the past, does that make this the sort of story where a dwarf or elf king might be trying to prevent their races collapse? Or would that need to be even further back?
>>96965539Understandable. We did hit like 500 posts today.
>>96965539Answer it anyway so that we can see who's alive.
>>96965561Not the reason, but I do have a lot to read here too.>>96965577I'm new to the MP so I don't think you care that I'm alive.
Page 9 comes again. See you in a bit anons, I'll be back with a new thread for you all.
>>96965404https://witcher.fandom.com/wiki/The_Poisoned_SourceGenerally speaking, being a magic user negatively affects fertility, although it's not 100%. Even then, those that keep fertility tend to be viewed negatively, and calls for sterilization happen. However, that outlook might have settled in after. The conclave of mages is a thing, so you might be branded as a renaged if you don't accept it's supremacy as a mage, but whether you survive it is up to you. Alzur did until an experiment went wrong. Raffard didn't, and he was effectively a regent of Temeria. That's for humans, for elves it would be pretty normal, and their kingdoms are still around at that time.>>96965470Conjunction is over a millennium before that, roughly 1200 years before our scenario. That's almost twice as long as the lifespan of the oldest known elf (650, and it was Aen Elle). With Otherworlder, you can pick Not of this World, and not pick monstrosity option to represent that. It will limit your options in the Beyond Human section, but it'll likely be enough to make it work because Perpetual Sustenance is there, and Humanity part of Not of This World is likely fitting given the lifespan. You could also just pick Chaos Witch if you want some extra magic as your skillset to explain having lived so long.
>>96965587Have you posted a build yet?
>>96965608Yes I did. Considering half the thread called it a shitpost I was sure it wasn't even put in the list but it's there.
>>96959214Parfaite lives with her parents in a nice enough place. Their schedules are pretty tightly bound up, but there are times where she's on her own for decently long stretches. Her parents aren't close to being slobs, but they often bring work and can leave things sprawled out. Parfaite doesn't mind tidying, nor does she mind cooking for them. Not necessarily something they expect from her, she just tends to wake up before them and doesn't see a reason to not have something prepared when they're coming home late.
>>96965636Lnon? I just think you need to put yourself out thereAsk if you can do x and y with z
>>96965556Yes. Human kingdoms already rose and tore a lot of lands from the old races (mainly elves), but the elven and dwarven kingdoms are still around. The elven fall will be completed in around a century or so in 1060 with Aelirenn's uprising. For dwarves. the Mahakam will stands after thanks its isolationist tendencies, so it didn't really collapse.
