Getting my ass kicked in Hansa Teutonica. Nothing has gone right the entire game, I have zero network and only control one city, just keep getting the things I need blocked right when I need them. Been sitting on a +3 action bonus token for a while that I got to help with something that didn't pan out. That and fully upgraded privilege and movement is about all I have going for me, but it is a 5 player game and I am in last by a mile. There is a decent race between 2 players, both with a huge network and close to connecting the red cities, but even the other 2 feel hopelessly behind as we transition from mid game to endgame, and I'm way behind them. Having been prevented from everything I've tried to do, I have a few cubes left out doing nothing. I only have 3 actions and no one considers me a threat anymore, so they're willing to bump me out and I get some more free placements. I do nothing but place cubes out. I should take Coellen, it's wide open and people are focused on keys or privilege, but I count cubes and spend one more turn placing them out. Then I do it. Move 4, complete route, move 4, bonus actions, complete route, move 4, complete route. 28 points in one turn. Before that turn, my total end score would have been 12. The top 2 players groan as loudly as the others laugh. I place more and grab a control of an isolated city in the remaining turns before the game ends.
