Some more VeloCity ArtThe crew fights a horde of rudies and blockades a park with a bunch of hippie vans
I think I can actually tell a full story in party art, let's go1. The crew meets DJ Bomba, an old DJ that knows of the mysterious record that supposedly brainwashes rudies into subservience and the possibility that a rival crew has stolen them to take control of the city's rudies(The campaign is based on Jets Set Radio style Rudies doing tricks and beating bad guys with the power of style and skating)
The party meets and saves their first ally. a flamboyant skater that might know where the first piece of the record is. they have to carry him through a blockade since he's injured
Its really nice seeing how every pic posted has its own style and character to it
3- First Major boss fight. the party infiltrates an abandoned theatre where a troupe of puppeters use a giant pinocchio to beat them up gang does some sick nasty tricks to cut the strings holding the puppet while our boxer character tries to beat the crap out of it
I got infinite retarded doodles, I'll just post one not to spam the thread.
4 - one District secured, up next a race for control over the next district and record. the race ended up being between our resident trickster and a super powered blader wearing rocket skates.
5 - With the race finished. our local tough guy has to break his totally not gf from the brainwash spell taking hold of all the other skaters in town. of course this is solved by MORE skating (in this a parkour chase across the rooftop buildings)He gets to have his moment and watch the stars after saving his girl2 districts liberated(I'll stop if anyone says so)
Ah here we go, our four rudies
6 - Our resident photographer needs to infiltrate into the third district, he dons a jacket of the enemy to get through a horde of mind controlled punks
7- this occurs after>>96980394and>>96978047 (with 4 districts liberated from mind controlled punks. they have to go into downtown, across massive buildings and skyscrapers without alerting the increadingly dangerous brainwashed rudies)Finally after an incredibly long night, the sun is starting to rise. Eyes, our resident photographer watches into the sun, depressed that his gf never really cared for him that much due to him not being "Brave" enough, sadly she's yet to know he's the one currently saving the city from total control
8 - Shootout at the library! The brainwashed punks and their leader are getting antsy, the crew has found the record that will counteract and cure everyone in the city from the brainwashing music. with the help of an old lady with a tommy gun, they escape with their own record in hand. now it's time to find a radio station that will play it
9 - The final showdown. it's early in the morning and their few allies they have gained are preparing to reach the only radio station in town with enough power to counteract the brainwashing. they're legends by now with how much they accomplished in one day, and with the help of DJ Bomba and their old lady librarian friend, they're on a mad dash with pretty much every single remaining brainwashed victim on their tail (Every gang member and like 70% of the police)
10 - They won. the bad guy is taken out and the crew is victorious. the three of them are celebrated as heroes, but Eyes decides to leave Velo City and never look back. even if his ex felt sorry and definetely thought he was a braver man now. he'd prefer to disappear and start over, leaving the city behind him.
Extra - One last complimentary piece, his gf suddenly regretting that she called him a coward when she thought he wasn't hearingI had a lot of fun with this campaign and thought it was great,
Backup character in case current one kicks the bucket. It is his Older sister , a grave cleric
Extra - 2Halloween costumes!

a bit outdated. The orc died horribly when a vargouille wrenched off his head and the prim princess player dropped out.
>>96980710Everything made sense to me as it unfolded. An academy in Ustalav had been dabbling in matters related to the Outer Gods, and they kept a copy of The King in Yellow in their library. One of my players, who was portraying Chara from Undertale, took a particular interest in it. At the same time, the Golarion calendar happened to align with the period on Earth when the Nazis were rising to power, so I included a cameo in which Hitler was pulled through a stargate against his will along with Nikola Tesla

ITT in-jokes that no one else understands, moments you had to be there for, and lolsorandumb shit
>>96987004Like I mentioned, it was a Christmas-themed game. I based the idea on "The Grinch Stole Christmas". The party arrived in town to find that it was under attack by goblins and had an orc war chief nearby. One of the players was new to tabletops, the catfolk, and she started to try and get away with anything she could. They beat the goblins back but the threat of the town's stuff getting stolen was still very real, so after the cat burned down a house and the druid quickly put the fire out, they set off for a cave. Inside, they fought some orcs and found the boss, a bratty teenage white dragon whom they fought until the druid figured out that she had run away from home and gave a speech about family and the spirit of Crystalhue. All's well that ends well.
>>96987192Sounds like a blast.Running something light-hearted as a pallet cleanser can be great fun.
>>96987091Thanks nogame, great input nogame.
>>96987331The tone was unintentionally very funny. I ran it mostly for the new girl, so everyone was in the mindset of this being an easy-going, lighthearted adventure. But then she'd say something intense like "I cut the goblin's tendons so he can't run away" or "GM, can I bring the dead back to life?". She was the team's baby. but also was out for blood.
I'm almost ashamed to post this but it was funny at the time. So I had to draw it even without talent.>Wild West villain jumps of the magic train he failed to rob and onto his horse>Paladin jumps after him to handcuff him>everything seems under control>Wizards turn, he wants to help?>he teleports above the horse with one of the enemys goons he intimidated to go along with him>4 people were definitely too much for the poor horse

>>96982220Posting a few more, here's one of the main party picking their way through a demonic realm of rot and fungus.
>>96988844This campaign ran for three and a half years. Over that time, the players ended up coming up with multiple other characters that we used for text roleplay between sessions--basically a way of keeping tabs on various things when the main party's adventures took them elsewhere, though it did occasionally result in a given player's characters working at cross purposes with each other. Some of those side characters ended up settling down, like Ažan here getting married at the beginning of the final arc of the campaign.

>>96988704Sorry late to respond, its not really fully based on anything but it does have roots in ADnD but more of a focus on "Hero" fantasy akin to LOTR, Record of Lodoss, Dragon Quest, etc. instead of the usual quick death stuff of ADnD, Shadowdark, etc (Nothing wrong with those system of course)We made it cause we found 5e storytelling, campaigns, and mechanics too bloated and hypefocused, as well we never really full found a system that WE liked. Systems been going well through couple months of play and stress testing. currently were working on a larger scale campaign about fighting an evil prince.

Every NPC got a three-paragraph description to be read out when they first appeared and referenced in later scenes and I spent a lot of time reading up on anything that would be relevant to the environment the characters would experience in a given session. It really helped the world come alive for the players and is probably a large part of why he ended up commissioning so much art of the game.

For the final third of the campaign I'm running, its more a "take/hold territory from the enemy" situation, so I created this to represent the war-zone and each grid repsented one or two sessions of stuff. Its a bit over 1-foot by 1-foot, modelled it myself then got a resin printer to print it out before I painted it.When the campaigns over (hapenning soon actually) this will be my keepsake, I also modelled mini and 1:12-scale figures which the players will be taking with them as keepsakes.
