After starting the second of his books and seeing it wasn't just a one-off quirk I skipped all of his entries. That was genuinely the only time I've ever gotten fairly deep into a book and quit. I read Their Eyes Were Watching God in grade school complete with the phonetically spelled deep-south accented dialogue, and I swear to god that one actually did drive me insane, but I finished it because I fucking had to for a grade but that's besides the point.Honestly, I'm looking forward to what books come out for the Scouring, now that they're less constrained by established foundational lore.Anyway, it was ok.
