>there's a perk that makes you literally a hundred thousand times faster
I knew power levels were getting a bit silly, but man.
>>
>>97009409
Is this really a thing from DBS? I don't remember anything about it. That being said it's DBS what did you expect? If it has a basis in the series and is balanced against the rest of the crap in the jump it's fine.
>>
Do peak human perks base themselves on the limits of the body with or without steroids and other supplements?
>>
>>97009461
Increasing your speed by 100000 times is just such a ridiculous concept, especially for fighters that can already destroy universes. I don't know if it's canon, but if it is, I really cannot imagine how that guy got defeated.
>>
>>97009478
"Peak humans" are most often just blatantly superhuman when compared to people in real life, steroids or not.
>>
>>97009492
Okay, but what about the ones which ostensibly base themselves on real-world limits?
>>
>>97009481
In DBS you have people faster than time stop, You have people who can destroy dimensions by fighting and you have what amounts to a war of silly concept escalations.
>>
>>97009409
The FUNNY thing is that perk is based on a JOBBER rabbit who SHIThan defeats with a HUG while getting them both PERFORATED by Frieza-sama. He isn’t even close to Bejita-sama, Goku, Jiren or anyone else who is stronger than TIME.
>>
>>97009478
it's basically the human body as if it had perfect genetic disposition for athletic excelence in nearly every category, been given perfect nutrition its entire life, and was trained to the absolute maximum of what the body is capable of steroids included. It's also as if the body has the peak of different body types at the same time. Like you can swim as if you had a swimer's body, run as if you had a runner's build or lift as if you were as heavy as a strongman.
Basically look at the top of any olympic category and a peak human like Batman or Captain America is gonna be better than that.
>>
Is HDManon around?
I have a saga of the exiles question, specifically: what is the safer starting period, especially when taking on as many drawbacks as possible?
>>
>>97009772
If you cannot answer that for yourself, you shouldn't be taking so many drawbacks (or even using the jump arguably). The jumpmaker has no obligation to handhold you for maximum safety while wanking.

I'm not even sure yet if I will chose the safer option

A peak human would already have the perfect hormonal balance to bring the body to a pareto frontier of physical ability, so any changes to that using steroids would probably make things worse. Though if the dimension you make things worse is health then you could probably use steroids to get stronger.

>>
Can any FGO lore gods give me a tl;dr for the part 2/lostbelt plot? I know that the alien god revives the crypters, they all get their alternate realities, chaldea genocides them one by one to save the normal reality, and nothing beyond that.
>>
>>97012153
>it's been 5 minutes and nobody is helping this poor soul out
Oh for fuck's sake.

SO to keep it simple, the initial premise of part 2 is that on the day Chaldea is supposed to be handed off to the UN/the Mages' Association, most of the staff are slaughtered by Duchess Anastasia, her army of Soviet soldier effigies, the monk Rasputin in Kotomine Kirei's body, and the nascent Beast Koyanskaya who despite appearances is actually a spirit recognised as kin by the goddess Amaterasu despite not being related to her formed from the Tunguska event killing many small animals-primarily bunnies-in a manner that reminded them of a gunshot. Escaping in a vehicle called the Storm Border, they find out the whole world has been bleached white and seven territories have seemingly had history altered in it so that a Crypter (a Master with really powerful Command Seals called Sirius Lights) and a Lostbelt King (a really strong above Servant-level dude) are (nominally) ruling it.

Chaldea's new goal is not to restore the Human Order (which characters of varying informedness keep telling the MC won't happen even if they resolve what has become known as the Human Order Recompilation Event) but simply to survive by destroying the Trees of Fantasy (reality warping tree-like structures that sustain the Lostbelts. Sometimes they scream and curse like tormented people while dying). Throughout all this they're hounded by the Apostles of the Alien God, and a being known as the Alien God who looks like Director Olga Marie but amnesiac and possessed of ominous powers vaguely reminiscent of a more scifi Arcuied.

Thus ensues a bunch of battles so comically lopsided that the means to their success involves legendary amounts of plot armour.

1/?
>>
>>97012153
The weaker Lostbelt Kings include things like an actual goddess and a version of Ivan the Terrible fused with Phantasmal Beasts into an elephant-like kaiju. The STRONGER Lostbelt Kings include things like Zeus in his original terraforming spacecraft/combining mecha body, a version of Arjuna who has absorbed every god from the Hindu pantheon bar one, and the literal heart of ORT manifested as a being compared to Archetype Earth but like, Quetz-shaped, who is so powerful that despite not technically being a Divine Spirit in the traditional sense she can use her powers to LARP as the creator god of a pantheon she thought was cool. In the first Lostbelt Chaldea almost dies from freezing weather and the MC is briefly held at gunpoint by a wolf-guy. In the last Lostbelt, Chaldea sacrifices everything to fight a version of ORT without it's heart, and even with the help of multiple gods and forces greater than gods the MC dies twice (but is lucky enough to land in a recreation of the Mesoamerican underworld and bargain with Tezcatlipoca for second chances of life).

Several discrepancies about the Lostbelts eventually reveal hints at what's going on, especially after the MC defeats Kriemhild and finds a strange version of Area 51 warped into 100 years in the future. The mastermind of the Bleaching is the Alien Planet: CHALDEAS itself, and it's creating the Lostbelt through an extremely large scale version of Flash Air. The Alien God is actually a different existence tossed by Flauros into CHALDEAS to prevent it from manifesting it's ACTUAL tutelary spirit, the Alien Prietess (an enigmatic being who can seemingly only communicate properly with Divine Spirits, hates the MC for unclear reasons, but helped them destroy the first Fantasy Tree). The Apostles of the Alien God appear to be it's failsafes engineering the defeat of the Lostbelt Kings/Crypters, who were set up to fail. Whatever the Alien Planet is planning is supposedly a threat to the entire universe.

2/?
>>
>>97012153
Also by universe I mean the literal, physical cosmos not the Universe of Human Observation that merely encompasses the solar system. The Alien Planet's voice turns out to be identical to the voice of the computer system at the very start of FGO's tutorial. And the Alien Priestess is eventually identified as functioning as the Akashic Records of CHALDEAS-omnipresent on it's surface. One final hint about Chaldeas' plan is revealed in the still inexplicable Un-Beast Servant U-Olga's NP: Her Noble Phantasm is compared to Goetia's incineration, but aiming to protect rather than destroy, by simultaneously affirming the possibility of human extinction but consigning it to fiction. Whatever that means.

After destroying the Lostbelts, the writers decide to drag out FGO to milk more money from RETARD WHALE PLAYERS and come up with two excuses. The first is that the Human Order has decided Chaldea is misusing Servants and wants to impose trials called Ordeal Calls that amount to resolving really weird Singularities. The second is that one of the remaining Apostles has decided to resurrect U-Olga Marie as 4 elementally aligned versions of herself associated with different emotions of the true Olga.

3/?
>>
>>97012279
>by simultaneously affirming the possibility of human extinction but consigning it to fiction. Whatever that means.
"Yeah, that can totally happen. In your dreams, nerd"
>>
>>97012153
The first results in the MC finding out his ship computer is full of an entire civilisations of digital Sion-shaped programs, going into a dream of his highschool life where Edmund Dantes reveals his ultimate form to protect him from the Comte de Saint-Germain (who is one of the Apostles), being sent to the far future of the Fate/Extra franchise where an incarnation of human entitlement called the Moon Cancer has manifested and the actual Mooncancer class turns out to exist for giving humanity euthanasia lest this happen, and finally confronting the archangel Metatron after she's corrupted by the Seven Deadly Sins-as well as Galahad, who turns out to have been hostile to Chaldea because he's trying to prevent Mashu from being stuck within a fixed span of time from when she became a Servant forever by qualifying her as a Ruler Servant. Only for Mashu to render that completely pointless by revealing you can just make up new Servant classes and have them be more powerful than anything before them iF YOU WANT IT HARD ENOUGH. Resolving the Ordeal Calls grants Chaldea the right to upgrade Extra Class Servants beyond their normal limits and also turn their regular Servants into Grand Servants, although sometimes with penalties; the MC's incompatibility with hatred means Avengers are desummoned by leave behind shadow Servant versions of themselves without a will (except a few Avengers who GET TO IGNORE THE HUMAN ORDER'S JUDGEMENT FOR MARKETING REASONS) and all the Rulers are lobotomised into automatons. Again, except for the ones who aren't. Like the archangel Metatron herself. YES, CHALDEA GETS FUCKING METARTON AS A SERVANT. AND LILITH, TOO.

Nothing, literally nothing of importance is learned from fighting the E-Olgas other than even a fragment of U-Olga's powerful is apparently enough to do something like turn all the planet's water supply into a bath of create a blast powerful enough to blow up the physical planet (not the World, the actual planet).

4/?
>>
>>97012153
It is a complete waste of time in which E-Olgas of varying but generally very low competence and killing intent fight you, get beaten up by Chaldea's army of Servants.

Chaldea has most recently gone to rescue Liz after she ended up stranded on the Servant Universe's version of Mars, where her Servant Universe counterpart turns out to have become literally Type Mars by killing everyone on Mars in a tantrum/concert and thus becoming the strongest lifeform on Mars. Chaldea has to stop Type Mars. Chaldea mainly succeeds because Chaldea's Liz befriends one of Type Mars' heads split off into another Liz. Chaldea now finally has a proper win over a Type; ORT's defeat was dependent on many external factors and would have still ultimately failed without the Lostbelt King being willing to side with Chaldea at the end. ORT technically defeated itself.

Chaldea is now currently preparing for the final battle with the Alien Planet, now the Human Order has ceased maintaining it's fucking Galahad shield-like barrier around the goddamn thing. Oh yeah did I mention Galahad was summoned as the Alien Planet's watchdog and just fucking squatted there without question because all he cared about was the Mash thing?

You are here. You are now caught up.

They are apparently dragging out the entire fucking end of part 2 over the entire fucking month of December.

Thanks for the explanation, Shard. It all sounds vaguely disappointing. I guess you really can't expect more from a gacha story. Oh well. I suppose the most important things to do in FGO are then to stop Goetia and the Alien God and then to "fix" the pruning system by telling Alaya there are dozens of ways to get infinite energy and basically she's retarded.
>>
>>97012366
All the entire Ordeal Call...ordeal ultimately proves is that yes, yes Alaya actually is retarded. Not only is Mooncancer now a srs Servant Class with important Human Order euthanasia-providing services, but THE SERVANT UNIVERSE IS ESSENTIALLY DECLARED AS A MANIFESTATION OF THE AGE OF WILL i.e. the magical space future that Merlin, Gilgamesh and Solomon all foresaw for humanity. THE SERVANT UNIVERSE IS A SERIOUS REPRESENTATION OF HIGH LEVEL NASUVERSE METAPHYSICS.

Also while the details are still not fully revealed, surrounding commentary by other characters states that everything Goetia managed to succeed at doing (primarily incinerating the planet and having Olga replace the Alien Priestess as the thing churned out by the Alien Planet as it's rep) merely slowed down the Alien God's plans rather than delay it-the Alien Planet being the greater threat Goetia was trying to avert with his lightyear retrogenesis (read: retroactive time travel quest to replace the planet at the moment of it's creation) project. HOW far back these machinations go isn't clear, but Douman (the guy who set up the entire incident in Shimousa, remember) is one of the Apostles and apparently Shimousa was a trial run for the Fantasy Trees. He's even able to artificially replicate one of his own, after going rogue a little and indulging in a (doomed) pet project during the Heian sub-chapter.

>>97012829
I forgot about the genius society honestly. Is there any reason they'd want to do that anymore with a jumper aligned with the nameless/astral express more so then just being a jumper in general?
>>
>>97012867
>Is there any reason they'd want to do that anymore with a jumper aligned with the nameless/astral express more so then just being a jumper in general?

Being with the express crew means you are still capable of forming attachment that can be used against you, also the Nameless are a few people, rather than a big org with tons of goons and resources at your disposal.

But in short, if they know where the Nameless are, chances are, you there as well, fact that saves a ton of time when looking for world hopping anomalies like jumpers.

Captain America is peak human, his level was quite literally reached by a Human who was raised with a revolutionary diet and exercise regime created by Erskine. It even made up for genetic deficencies, with him becoming peak even on a genetic level.

Shovel Knight has a perk where as long as you or a companion didn't start a fight it's impossible for you to die in one. Not sure if it also protects against accidents but it's a pretty powerful protection against violence so long as you let the other guy take the first swing.

It is an artifact created personally Akivili, being an integral part of the traiblaze especially now that the path's Aeon is dead, and is said to contain his heart. Also a few times in lore it was directly addressed as Akivili by some characters like Black Swan.

Shard-sama, if i may ask:
In the DC jump, you can create your own species with it's own powerlevel, and i really liked all the options, since i wanted to create a species of beautiful psychopaths that are all nigh-omnipotent (for most settings) but then i realized that this is for a retroactive insertion...... is the species actually following you along the chain? because for example absolute loyalty is 500cp, them having an amazing history and fate is 400cp.
>>
>>97013044
no anon, if you need to take a super serum then you're not a normal human anymore

>>97015325
we're are talking about his capabilites, which are peak human, as proven by a human who reached his peak through naural methods equavling him.
>>
>>97015355
it doesn't count if a fantasy human can do it, it only counts if an actual human can do it
>>
>>97015377
literally no peak human in fiction is based on what actual humans can do.

Like even just in training we see Batman for example Bench press much more than any world record for example, at one point it was like 2000 lb.
>>
>>97015406
peak human isn't a common term inside fiction, it's a common term outside fiction such as for example a jumpdoc, this tells you that when you are told something makes you peak human it's saying you can do what the best normal humans can do, not what the best fantasy humans can do

why the fuck are you even confused by this, it's the simples shit ever
>>
>>97015424
What general do you think you are in?
Everything here is in the context of fiction.
And Batman and Captain American are pretty much the poster boys of the term peak human. If you Google it half the images are Captain America or Batman.
Hell the athlesim perk in the first jump literally references Captain America.
>>
>anon declares that peak human actually means superhuman, is very subborn about it
it's all so tiresome
>>
>>97015461
>And Batman and Captain American are pretty much the poster boys of the term peak human. If you Google it half the images are Captain America or Batman.
NTA, but while that may be true, when people think about those characters they usually think of them as idealized humans. They're not thinking of their one-off feats from random comics no one has ever heard of written a decade or more ago.
>>
>>97015490
no no no, peak human and superhuman are the same thing, just ignore that they're used as completely different terms
>>
>>97015490
they are idealized humans in the way I described in my original posts, they are the peak of various athletic categories, even ones that are mutually exclusive by real world standards, the feat I mentioned was just to point out that by real world standards it would be superhuman, but it's not in setting.
>>
>>97015675
a jumpdoc telling you a perk makes you peak human is speaking in real world terms
>>
>>97015700
the feats would be real world(or at least that world), but the actual ability would not be.
There is no real world definition of peak human, different athletic categories have different ideals.
Like you can't be as fast as Usain Bolt and as strong as Hafthor without some fuckery going on.

Found something funny in Gene's generic Isekai. Not practical at all, but funny.
So the companion options for the jump double with each purchase. 1 for the first, 2 for the second, 4 for the third, etc. You also get three discounts for each price tier for items (of which companions are part of), and a discount of a higher tier can be exchanged for a discount of a lower tier. The standard companion options are 50 points, and you can exchange all your higher tier discounts for 24 50 point discounts.
If you expend all those discounts on one companion option and then also spend all of your points (without even going into drawbacks) for 20 more purchases of a companion option for a total of 44 purchases, you will get 1.75921*10^13 companions/companion slots, or more companions than 2000x the population of Earth. The standard create/import option also gives each companion 600 points, and if you wanted to you could spend that on their race to make each of those companions a lesser deity, or on their job to make each companion a demon lord. Or give them all the "Different Type of Hero" cheat and make them all magical girls.
AKA you can make the pink tide even more ludicrously huge.
Like I said, I can see no variant of an Isekai where this is not insane overkill and impossibly impractical, but it is a funny exploit.

We see a couple others of Beerus's race in flashbacks, so it's not actually that odd. I vaguely remember there being something about Gods of Destruction typically coming from mortal stock, so it would stand to reason that there's a whole race of sphynx cats in some universe or another.

What would be wilder is if it turned out that Beerus and his brother both originally hailed from Universe 11. But now that Toriyama's gone I somewhat doubt we're going to see any major surprises like that would be for awhile. Gonna be a little while before people can start carving off bits of that sacred calf, I would imagine.

Nta but no they don't. Your identity is simply "you" and your individual "you-ness". Memories make up your personality but if your personality gradually changed over the course of 40 years it would still be you just like how if all those memories flooded into you instantly it would still be you

>>97020700
That's just sophistry. Someone with your exact same personality but different memories is another person. We don't like in a spiritual or fantastical universe - there is no vague "you-ness" or some sort of identity that transcends your brain. If you change step by step over decades into someone else, that's fine and normal, but if say some magic spell or event turns you into that instantly then you're no longer you. Continuity is important.

Lila: "So you are your personality and your memories? Is that what you’re trying to say?"

William: "Yeah.."

William: "Oh yeah?"

Lila: "Yes. Let’s pretend for a moment you’re right and you really are your personality, memories and so on. ...But isn’t the one listening to me right now - also you?"

William: "Huh? Sure."

Lila: "And the one seeing me is you. And the one feeling all the different things is you. Let’s call this you the perceiver."

William: "Uh-huh."

Lila: "We like to imagine the perceiver as a pupil of an eye. The perceiver may cast his gaze upon anything - colors or sounds, touch or feelings. But how do you imagine it looking at itself directly?"

William: "A mirror?"

Lila: "Oh wouldn’t trust the mirror, my dear William. The ghosts on the other side may only look like us."

William: "So, alright, in that sense it really can’t. The pupil can never see itself. So what?

Lila: "...It means that whatever the pupil can perceive is not it. You can analyze your memories and your personality, yet the real perceiver always stays in the shadows. One of his human names is the Prince, although he doesn’t really have a name, of course."

Lila: "In that sense, there isn’t really a difference between you and other people, Will."

Can confirm, though not directly. Assuming dude didn't just think to pull off the most convincing psyop possible and flex their acting chops for months on end, knew someone who got so shitfaced they got amnesia. It was like talking to a person who had become their own KH Nobody insomuch as they had no idea who they were and it became an awkward thing of tiptoeing around the more recent events involving their social interactions because no, they don't remember that and you as the person who does can't be sure if it's a good thing or not to remind them because their current identity could either accept it and maybe try to be more like who they were or reject it and be stuck in some sort of personal hell where they hear about who they effectively were and don't want to be that since it might come at the cost of what memories they do have now. If the latter was the case, that shit would be a waking existential nightmare.

I treat the origin as the dominant personality, with previous jumps being more like past lives they can remember and draw power from, but which dont impact them as heavily as primary memories, like things such as attachments and emotions dont fully carry over, for example they remember liking someone, but dont necessarrily like them now by their current standards. Core personaltiy traits remaind mostly across differen origins though with a lot of little stuff sprinkled through, like generally not being one to hold grudges, their favourite color being purple or generally avoiding drugs.

Writing a jump for a setting where characters can't die, and I'm explaining that in a free+mandatory perk that's given to everyone at the start.
Would it be annoying if this acted as a typical 1-up perk in future jumps? You're getting it for free and 1-ups are usually capstone tier, right?

I could make players pay to take the perk with them but I dunno.

>Blade's decided that the robot is Fi despite not sharing continuity with Skyward Sword.
I mean, I could see why he'd say that given that she's the one in the Master Sword, but wasn't Fi fine post-ToTK?

Although I suppose she could have lost the body and just went back into the sword, and being in multiple places at once isn't new in Zelda (looking at you, Four Sword)
>>
>>97028520
>Blade's decided that the robot is Fi despite not sharing continuity with Skyward Sword.
What do you mean they don't share continuity? Isn't Skyward Sword one of the earliest in the Zelda timeline(s)?

>>
>>97028597
Official word of god is that BOTW/TOTK are in their own continuity, unrelated to the other Zelda games.

Tears of the Kingdom's backstory for Hyrule's founding directly contradicts Skyward Sword's backstory for Hyrule's Founding too

Fi doesn't HAVE a personality in BoTW/ToTK. The closest to her even being in them is Zelda claiming there's a voice in the Master Sword that talks to her
>>
>>97028626
>Official word of god is that BOTW/TOTK are in their own continuity, unrelated to the other Zelda games.
I see, didn't remember that.

>Tears of the Kingdom's backstory for Hyrule's founding directly contradicts Skyward Sword's backstory for Hyrule's Founding too
Yeah, I'm looking at it now that you mention it and I'm having trouble thinking of any way they could line up. Even if you tired to say they were multiple Hyrule Kingdoms built over the ruins of the previous one, I don't think that could explain Ocarina Ganondorf vs ToTK Era of Foundation Ganondorf.

>Fi doesn't HAVE a personality in BoTW/ToTK. The closest to her even being in them is Zelda claiming there's a voice in the Master Sword that talks to her
That feels like it could still be a reference to Fi, since we know she can be there and enough time would have happened since Skyward that maybe she might have become able to communicate again? But it still runs straight into the mentioned timeline issues, even if it feels like a reference to some degree.
>>
>>97028681
Ganondorf reincarnates similarly to Link and Zelda. …sometimes. There are exceptions of course, Wind Waker Link wasn’t, but ehhhh.

Anyways there’s like three Ganondorfs. Ocarina, which is then TP, WW, and the majority of the Downfall timeline, one in Four Swords Adventure, the one in TotK/BotW, and nominally an additional two in Hyrule Warriors and Cadence of Hyrule.

Whether you would consider this to all be the same Ganondorf is debatable.
>>
>>97028770
I'm personally not sure Link even reincarnates. We have a couple examples of multiple Link's being active at the same time, with Twilight Princess's Link being taught by Child Timeline Link and Gramps from Link Between Worlds being implied to be ALTTP Link

I've always assumed the whole thing was a mantled position deal
>>
>>97028354
>If there's anything in specific that you want from the jump, go ahead and throw it at me and I'll see what I can do.
Without knowing much of the jump, but if Fi figures in it, how about a Fi/Master Sword follower or companion that only counts sometimes like the deredachis?

Mostly because I tend to like sapient items but then run into issues in which giving them a body to make them able to hang out means you can't use the item anymore without taking up a companion slot, and stuff like that.

Which is probably my own fault for sticking to original companion rules instead of houseruling something, but if you're asking might as well see what you think.

Japans concept of reincarnation is slightly different from what one would normally consider it as - they don’t see a lick of problem with there being multiple versions of the same guy running around. See Madara and Sasuke both being the reincarnation of Indra/the og Uchiha and them fighting each other.

Mantling is probably not a bad explanation, but iirc skyward sword says that most of the Links are the same one.

>>97028839
Unlikely. Spirit Blades might have worked like that, I don’t remember, but the Knight Construct probably won’t.

I'm just comfymaxxing.
With my setup, the shadows will probably never trigger, so this world just becomes a peaceful ten years I can spend on things I always liked but was never very good at, like writing and learning how to make electronic music.
No need to get wrapped up in all the action. Just enjoy things peacefully, have fun at my leisure, get to know people and maybe help out where I can. It feels good to be able to take it easy for once.

No true love with Kyoko* just yet, because I'd hate to ruin our comfy time here with shadows. I'll make her fall for me the old-fashioned way.
Kyoko* is super cute (and deserved her own after story, damn it). I'll need to figure out how to work the Angel Player with her. I'm gonna take her with me on my chain and turn her into the Magic Girl Pretty Kyoko* she deserves to be when I jump precure next.

I looked inside the inner workings of Heaven. It was just the cycle of samsara. “Huh” I said. I looked further. Someone had modded the waiting room with advanced tech. “Curioser and curioser” I said to nobody.

Everywhere I went, I’d trip over a rock or something and remind someone of their long-lost loved one by falling just the right way or accidentally say something that would make them get all teary-eyed and cathartic. And they’d just vanish back into their next life on the spot. So I decided to expedite the process by bringing my Nietzschean concerns about God’s unreality or absence and the implications for our student body. This upset a lot of them so I hypnotised them all.

After some thought I decided to have the Student Council round up everyone (including the dissidents, simply by all being in one easily targeted place under a nominal flag of truce) somewhere I could easily hypnotised them all. I then proceeded to allow the ontological alteration that made me keep accidentally giving people catharsis play out in the illusory worlds I created for everyone, making them all vanish one by one. Even the NPCs.

And then, I was alone.

. . .

“Hey, great job giving all those kids therapy!” said Elodie, portalling over to visit. “Oh it’s nothing, I’m basically just a glorified sysadmin” I told her dismissively. “So…are you going to be reborn now or…?”

“I can’t” I reminded her, “not until the 10 years are up”

>>97031718

“Why? Everyone else is gone. Let’s see, the condition for leaving this afterlife seems to be…” said Elodie, scanning it, “being completely at peace…with your life…and past” she said slowly, staring at me with horror and pity. “Oh. Oh, no”

“Yep” I said, lying down on the ground. Still as the death denied me.

“I’m so sorry” said Elodie weakly.

“It is what it is” I said, utterly indifferent to the fact that nominally, this place was in fact a perfect prison.

“Oh right, there’s a console over there! Maybe I can mod it to-“ said Elodie, scurrying there. And back again “…and, someone’s used it to mod the afterlife to be able to meet up with mutually consenting loved ones in their next incarnation”

“That would be me. Social cohesion has been accomplished, and suffering arising from lingering loss and grief has been minimised. My purpose is complete” I said, shutting my eyes. Lost for words, Elodie sputtered a bit, and then settled for awkwardly patting my shoulder as she realised I had decided my goals in this reality were accomplished and I was content to let this avatar remain perfectly still, conserving resources, for the foreseeable future.

She left with one final, sad look over her shoulder through the portal.

And the portal opened up again, briefly. “HEY so, since you can move between afterlives and all you COULD if you wanted to actually just leave-“

“I could” I agreed, “but I don’t feel like it”

“Oh. Kind of undercuts the whole tragedy of this whole situation, huh?”

“I felt it was a bit redundant with my conceptual immortality being a sort of reified metaphor for spiritual stasis, anyway” I told her, with the good humour and easy confidence of someone who had finally finished all his damn paperwork.

“Right, right. Well erm. Have…fun…?”

And then Elodie left. Periodically coming back with afternoon snacks and tea.

Ah, I should have addressed that. I completely neglected to mention anything about it. My fault for being so sparse with the details.
Assume that the harmonics clones get automatically reabsorbed (not necessarily after ten seconds) without a total mindfuck (since you're paying a cp premium and shouldn't be punished for using it).
You can use the Angel Player to make harmonics into a permanent self-replicating jumper clone facility though.
>>

Nice. I watched this ages ago and I remember it being pretty good. Do you know where that one guy's hypnosis abilities come from? Kanade's abilities came from the computer program, but I don't remember the hypnosis ever being explained.
>>

>>
>>97031231
What are the limits of Angel Player and Computer Lab? How strong, weird, or broad can the skills get, and what changes can you make?
>>
>>97033279
He says that he taught himself hypnosis but we don't really learn much more than that. The visual novel doesn't explain it in any more depth as far as I can tell, either.
You could assume that the world itself saw his "desire" to learn hypnosis and gave him the material, letting him learn it to a supernatural degree.

>>97033379
Angel Player can let you program skills on par with what a video game character would have, or you can use it to modify your existing perks, remove limitations, etc. It's not clear what the actual upper limits to it are.
The computer lab had near omnipotent control over the world itself. If the Angel Player lets you program things for yourself, the computer lab lets you program things that affect the whole world. You're really only limited by your programming ability and imagination.
>>
>>97033352
Shame they went with the "aren't you a college student" thing which suggests they're using the english dub canon. In the normal canon Mamoru at the start of the series is only 2 years older than Usagi at 16 and nowhere close to being in college. Also given they blew through like 25 episodes in 15 minutes I imagine they probably won't be doing any more.
>>
>>97033379
Not him, angel player has created the various skills in the president perkline (not the capstone), among wich an enormous variation of sonic hand, the lab was used to program the shades system in the world, and allegedly could have been used by Yuri to remake the world they were in and effectively become God.
>>
>>97033986
>the computer lab lets you program things that affect the whole world. You're really only limited by your programming ability and imagination.
Is it only one change per jump? "You can make one major change to the world's
fundamental rules or several smaller, less impactful changes." makes it seem like it.

>>97034044
That was mostly just for balancing reasons. There would be no reason to take any perk other than that otherwise.
If you're just editing the world's magic system or making it so catgirl maids are the dominant fashion style then make as many of those changes as you want.
If you're removing the concept of death from a world or removing the concept of superpowers from a Marvel jump then that's probably close to its upper limit.

I dunno, just wank it. I don't make the rules.
>>
>>97034004
I'm pretty sure Mamoru was a college student in the manga too? It was more acceptable back then
>>
>>97034129
>It was more acceptable back then
So was the n-word.
>>
>>97034004
>Also given they blew through like 25 episodes in 15 minutes
I mean, in the actual series it's one episode to establish the current threat, then a whole season of monster of the week / slice of life where nothing important happens and finally the last episode of the arc to actually deal with the plot. Rinse and repeat.
>>
>>97034129
iirc he goes to America to attend the first year of university in the final season, making him 18 going on 19 and Usagi 16 going on 17. He never actually makes it there though given Galaxia kills him almost immediately just to make Sailor Moon said by thinking that he went to the states only to ghost her.
>>
>>97034004
>In the normal canon Mamoru at the start of the series is only 2 years older than Usagi at 16
If there's a difference of 2 years he should be 17 since JP highschool starts at 15 and ain't no way Usagi of all people would manage to skip a grade.
>>
>>97035769
Anon, Usagi starts canon as a 14 y/o in her last year of middle school and is 15 in the second season when she starts high school.

>>
>>97036770
The value proposition of the Force is entirely contingent on getting to Sheev’s level (or above). Anything short of that makes it a waste of time.
>>
>>97030098
>Okay, explain how the Zonai could be there to establish Hyrule when Hyrule itself was established by the people of Skyloft landing said island on the earth?
Simple - there are ACTUAL FUCKING EPOCHS separating when Skyloft landed and when the Zonai descended. Enough so that Hyrule's geography has completely altered itself and the vast majority, if not all (barring fucking Gorons), of the species that existed during Skyloft's time no longer exist in any other iteration of Hyrule. Same reason why, until Echoes of Wisdom, apparently nobody had seen a Tri until the most recent Still World incursion; they were doing their jobs so thoroughly and effectively is certain the universe was created that most beings and civilizations weren't even around when they were and even if they were, they probably never even noticed their presence.

The two Hyrules are not the same and we notably do not get to see the type of Hyrule the Skyloftians initially made upon their descent, leaving it completely fucking ambiguous as to what even happened there. The Zonai founding Hyrule is a much different situation because whilst we know the originals "descended from the heavens" or something to that effect, Rauru and Mineru explicitly have no recollection of this because they were born long, long after and they themselves don't even recall their own people or what happened to them per Age of Imprisonment. Rauru and Sonia's founding of Ancient Hyrule in TOTK/AOI doesn't contradict Skyward Sword's because the context is completely different and there was no case of Rauru coming from on high to do it like Skyloft's people descending form the clouds; he was born on the land and has no recollection of what his ancestors were up to back then.
>>
>>97036850
Alright I'm curious why do you need to get up to sheevs level minimum for it to not be a waste of time? He's basically near the tippy top of force users.
>>
>>97036902
It’s simple. >>97036781 is unironically correct in the case of 99% of Force users. If it wasn’t, Order 66 wouldn’t have been so effective. The only Jedi who survived it through anything except pure dumb luck, Yoda, is portrayed by the movies as at least competitive with Sheev. So yes. Either reach the pinnacle of the Force or you have lesser tactical utility than a clone with a gun.
>>
>>97037015
>or you have lesser tactical utility than a clone with a gun
This is like saying Solar Exalts have lesser tactical utility than a guy with a guandao, because they got ass-raped in the Usurpation by DBs. It completely ignore the context of each needing literal armies to be taken down, composed of people who were ostensibly loyal to them who sucker-punched them when they were least expecting it, all while being guided by master wizards who have control of fate itself.
>>
>>97036899
>Simple - there are ACTUAL FUCKING EPOCHS separating when Skyloft landed and when the Zonai descended

Danny Phantom combined with DCAU.
>Why
Because I wanted the ghost powers since I was a small child. Flight, invisibility and intangibly are just great. I can be unbound from anything and go anywhere. DCAU because let's face it, DP world is just a bit too easy. Yes, I can explore the ghost zone, but I can do that by attaching it as an extra afterlife to DC. I want to be a hero with real villains and have fun with some heroes I grew up watching. Plus, the stay would be like 77 years. I will pick up the healer power from Superman TAS and can be team healer. Even with ghost powers I think they would keep the only known healer hero off front lines. So if I haven't gotten my shit together by then and found someone to waifu, then I just suck.

He? I thought SJ-Chan was a girl from her writing. Or are you going with the, there are no girls on the internet theory?

NTA, but SJ-Chan was female

I remember seeing the obituary and it had the pic of a fat guy. Wouldn't be the first time someone has an online persona.

I am going to be honest with you. No, but also yes. I do like to start out low power and work to a build up. That is the early phase of my chains. Then I hit the fuck it phase where I just go to the jumps I want and the power curve goes crazy. I like going with the low power jumps first because I feel that gives the jumper a good foundation to build from. It can also force them to work and learn new skills that are not perks. If you go right for the good stuff you don't get that because, why do you need to learn to fish and hunt when you can just magic food and shelter in to existence.

Both, kind of. I like to have a linear progression and stick to street-levelish powerlevels throughout a chain, but I like to pick up survivability like Wolverine-level regeneration as early as possible.

I like powerwanking early on because it is going to get to that point anyways.

Whatever it takes to get a good power fantasy going. Serious creative work doesn't happen on a template, Jumpchain is only good for masturbation.

I go STRAIGHT for Gohan’s throat. Powerlevel is irrelevant when my target is such a FUCKING LOSER.
>>
>>97045623
That is why Gohan succeeds at NEITHER.
>>
>>97048642
Did you mean to imply that GODhan is kind and RIGHTEOUS?

I’m saying SHIThan has KEK attributes instead of SOCIOPATHku’s bloodthirst that are UNSUITED for the rage of war so he should GIVE UP and get a clue, yes.
