>>97053906After a while, as their conversation eased into more casual territory, Andris seized the opportunity to discuss something that had been on her mind regarding Autumn. She recalled reading in the compendium that Fae perceptions varied wildly among people, a fact that suddenly illuminated her brother's deep-seated distrust.>Is there any way to make him see you as I do for example?Meanwhile, deeper in the forest, two outlaws had momentarily halted their progress. Their banter had veered towards their commander, and they found themselves unable to resist a torrent of jokes in his absence.>Always got those tight-arsed lackeys glued to his side, eh? Doing his every bidding. Bet they take him for 'walkies' like some pampered cur.>Walkies, shwalkies. I'm putting my coin on him humping their legs under the dinner table.A burst of uncontrolled, raspy laughter erupted in the forest, traveling great distances until a fairly audible snippet reached the interior of the tree hut.Andris's blood ran cold. The sound instantly triggered horrific memories of her past abduction, and she instinctively curled into a ball on the bench, consumed by trauma and a profound sense of helplessness. The thought gnawed at her: What if they discover this tree? It suddenly seemed completely exposed, mirroring her own vulnerability.

>>97064543The planetary governor was a creature of vanity, his aging jowls wrapped tight in youthful synthskin. The grafts gave him the appearance of a man half his years, but only at a distance. Up close, you could see where the artificial flesh puckered at the jawline, where the seams didn't quite marry with the sagging reality beneath. His eyes remained old. Watery. Calculating. He moved through the halls of the administratum palace like a man convinced of his own immortality, chin lifted, shoulders squared beneath his ceremonial robes. The synthskin caught the light wrong; too perfect, too uniform, lacking the scars and imperfections that marked a life actually lived. It was the vanity of the aging powerful, desperate to hold onto authority by clutching at the aesthetic of youth. The wrinkles would come eventually. They always did. But for now, the governor wore his mask, and pretended the mirror told him different lies than it had the year before.

>After the adventuring party disbanded, the fighter continued to hone and leverage his martial talents, rising from a mercenary captain to a seasoned sword-at-arms, and at last to a landed knight. No longer the rough, unscrupulous brawler he once was; he is now a respected lord, master of his own keep and the fields that answer to it.
>The rogue, ever a vagabond and the prize of many a wanted poster, found himself adrift after the party disbanded. In time, he discovered his true home upon the open seas, rising to become a fleetmaster for a privateering company. There, at last, he found both the stability he had never known and a sense of community he had always longed for.
>The artificer, always a cold and distant man, had long viewed the party as nothing more than a means to an end, and he departed years before the group officially disbanded. He withdrew into the depths of his laboratory, emerging only on occasion to unveil some new bewildering device or ghoulish contraption. In the end, he met his fate at the hands of one of the very mechanical monstrosities he had brought to life. His broken corpse lay undiscovered for years, festering in the cobweb-choked gloom of his abandoned workshop. There is a lesson there, perhaps.
Beep beep. 80 year old coming through. Get in my way and I'll run you over like a farmer's market stall.
>The barbarian carved her way through life, earning riches and indulging in every earthly pleasure. Yet all the conquest and revelry left a hollow ache within her, and after the party disbanded she sank into a deep and listless depression. In time, however, she discovered a new calling: the life of a zealot. The church taught her to channel her seething hunger for violence into purpose, shaping her fury into something sacred. Now, even as her life draws toward its final twilight, she remains the ecclesiarchy’s greatest weapon; untamed righteous fury, for when the church needs a hammer instead of a scalpel.
>>9706861680? She is like like 13 years old mentally?
>The master bard still sings of the band’s youthful exploits, immortalizing their deeds and ensuring their names echo through every tavern whose keeper will spare a few coins. No one knows why she wears the mask. Some whisper it hides burn scars from a spell gone awry; others claim it’s merely the vanity of an aging woman. The bard herself laughs off the rumors, insisting the mask simply makes it easier to slip away, let an understudy take her place, and spend the rest of the night deep in her cups.
The endless cycle of blade and death grows weary with age. Looking back on his life of dungeoneering with growing shame, the cleric snapped his mace over his knee and vowed never again to harm another living soul. This oath quickly made him a burden to the adventuring party, and so he retired, devoting the rest of his days to the quiet work of a healer and scribe. He argued that his wisdom had far more to offer the world than his strength—and, in time, he proved himself right.
>The druid had always been an eccentric, reclusive creature, and after the party disbanded he found fewer and fewer reasons to speak with anyone at all. Somewhere in his misadventures he contracted lycanthropy and decided it was best to avoid civilization altogether. No great loss for civilization, truth be told. He built a quiet life among the squirrels and songbirds of the grove, happier in their company than he had ever been among people. And every full moon, he wrestled with the terrible urge to gorge himself on his new woodland friends.
The monk survived battles against demons, beholders, and dragons; unarmored and armed with little more than his fists, just as he always said he would. He accepted no payment or treasure during his travels with the party, exactly as he promised. When their quest was done, he returned to his monastery to train the next generation of monks, again just as he had sworn. And even now, he still writes to his old adventuring companions from time to time; faithful to his word, as ever.
Dofric has served his goddess for almost 250 years, a life of endless service and devotion...and a life that he regrets he did not spend spelunking in goblin-infested dungeons with fellow murderhobos hunting for treasures as he feels the spectre of old age creep up on him from a life unfulfilled.
>When the paladin broke his vow of redemption and turned his blade against the party, his former friends left him shattered and comatose. Only spite kept him clinging to life as his ruined body slowly knit itself back together. In the years since, the tiefling has fully embraced his infernal heritage, looking back with bitter regret at the youth he wasted fighting the darker impulses in his blood
>>97068706That's just a bit of the disconnect between Game Piro and Silly Slop Piro. Game Piro is 80, but looks about 16 or 17 to humans. The ranger aged more slowly than his companions, yet he too settled down once the party disbanded. He still avoided cities, as he had never cared for civilization, but he loved women and merriment far too much to vanish into the deep woods forever. Instead, he became a hunter in a small rural community, where he eventually raised a family. A simple life, for a simple man.
>The lunar sorceress, once renowned for her ethereal beauty and her deft political maneuvering within the magocracy, took a most unexpected path in her twilight years. She vanished into a distant marsh and reemerged as a swamp crone, tending to the sick in a forgotten town swallowed by reeds and mist. No one knows why she exiled herself or cast aside the vanity that once defined her. But she had always been a mercurial soul, her ambitions and desires waxed and waned like the moon that granted her power.

>>97070183Madness had always stalked the warlock, yet the thrill of forbidden power drove him to chase it all the same. In the end, he proved an unremarkable vessel, and his eldritch patron grew weary of his mediocrity. Now he languishes in an almshouse, drooling into his gruel and raving about the power he once commanded, impressing the other lunatics with the meager cantrips he can still manage to conjure.
>Many are startled to hear an old and wizened voice when the child speaks, for the boyish figure before them is in fact several centuries old. The chronurgy wizard currently resides in the city of Aurelion’s Gate, where he holds the illustrious post of Arch-Chronologer of Temporal Studies at Pendulum Spire Academy. Eager to advance his research and continue his great works, the ancient mage plucked a younger version of his body from a nearby timeline and transferred his consciousness into it. Immoral? Mayhaps. But such a feat is trivial to one who revels in bending the fate of reality itself. Now he labors to master an even bolder art: seizing the younger bodies of others from neighboring realities, that he might grant his old companions the same stolen youth and reunite the party once more; for there is always another great evil stirring beyond the veil, wanting to destroy the world. It is only a matter of time.

The Bloodhunter was never truly part of the party. He just happened to be brooding in the tavern’s darkest corner when the others pledged their fellowship, but was promptly deemed far too cringe to join their quest. What became of the half-dhampir, half-incubus after that is a matter of whispered legend. Some say he walked into the night, cloak billowing like the wings of a fallen angel. Others claim he vanished into the shadows, vowing to become stronger than all of them combined. Whatever he's doing, one thing is certain: he's doing it edgily.
