>>97068118I have a Breena grouphug deck I use to clear the air if one of my other decks pops off and annihilates the table before t6 or if there's 5-6 players and I want a fast game. The deck's only wincon is Divine Intervention. I give everyone massive attack buffs with shit like Duelist's Heritage and Crescendo of war on top of shit like Howling Mine to give everyone 2+ extra cards a turn. And faggots still can't close a game out fast and will sit there twiddling their thumbs even though they have a full mitt of cards, haven't missed a land drop, and have a board of 5 fliers getting +7 to attack.People just hate group hug because it exposes how dogshit they are at the game and how much their decks fucking suck.
I don't understand group hug, when I played Bumbleflower I just sandbagged and built my pillowfort while holding interaction until I could swing for win or make some sort of big swingy play. Giving cards to players was just a downside I had to deal with. Usually giving to the down player to keep them relevant enough people wouldn't start thinking about my boardstate.

If an effect lets me copy a spell I cast and the original spell is countered, do I still get a copy? The spell is still "cast" from my hand, right, and thus copy is created?

>>97068647looks like a fantastic part of the 99 for a Goreclaw deck, it'd make him cost 2 green mana and work well with garruk's uprising and what not. (or you can just voltron him with green stomp I suppose, buffing based on how many forests you control could be the play)
>>97068647Do you consider generic mono-green ramp interesting?

Like how all theft players are trannys, grouphug players are all midwit redditors who think they're Julius Caesar reincarnate when it comes to politicking. Really though they're all mediocre to bad players who whine and cry when things aren't going their way hoping the other players will pity them or fall for the "teehee I'm just trying to help everyone play" shtick they all fucking do. They're just annoying to play with and constantly king make or misrepresent their decks power level, too beta to be archenemy or be "mean" when they play. Target and bully grouphug players until they grow some balls or leave the pod.
>>97068657The stack works backward, right? So yes, and the copy itself can be countered.

>>97068681Nice, I just watched the newest Trinket Mage video too.

>>97068749We stand with Trinket Mage in this general. We're all boycotting Lorwyn to show WotC we can be just as serious about hybrid mana as Monster Hunter fans are about dragon penis.
I've been playing for 7 months and I'm still a godawful deck builder. I have a good grasp of the gameplay and I can do pretty well if given a sufficiently good precon and matched against decks of a similar level. But it doesn't translate well to making my own decks for the jank off-meta commanders that are interesting to me personally but aren't popular enough to have "solved" netdecks online for me to copy. I have no actual creativity or original thoughts in my head despite the hours and hours a week I spend consuming Magic content online and discussing it. It's unbelievable. I should quit.
i stand with no griefting youtuber who entered the space after 2015
>>97068657It depends on the effect. Things like storm will still put copies on the stack, but a spell like Fork will fizzle if its target is countered before Fork resolves (because the target is no longer valid).
>>97068749>retarded reddit eceleb EVER shitting on the reddit archetypelmao

>>97068795All you did was change his argument from SuccubusSnail to Reddit.
>>97068775>we can be just as serious about hybrid mana as Monster Hunter fans are about dragon penisEven as bait I feel obliged to point out there's no way MtG players could be that disciplined given it took MonHun fans 1 week to accomplish what MtG players couldn't in 7 years.
>>97068473You speak truth
>>97068794thanks, that makes sense. (have cat.) I was thinking creatures or enchantments that let you copy spells you cast. (abilities, I guess)onto more copying (never really made a deck this spellslingy, lots of new rules for me) - if someone else casts a spell with for instance "deal dmg equal to your amount of creatures" and they have 5 creatures and I have 2, and I copy the spell, would I deal 2 or 5 dmg?
https://moxfield.com/decks/v0aD8Y8dvkyjwZI4sl7dLAHow would (you) build Oketra
>>97068885It looks like you're leaning into returning your own cheaper creatures to cast again and again into her for those 4/4 zombies. Which sounds about right for this Oketra. How about Cloudstone Curio? Would probably also include Ornithopter and any of the zero cost creatures like it. Memnite, Phyrexian Walker, Shield Sphere. So with Cloudstone Curio you can shit out an infinite amount of zombies. Maybe Welcoming Vampire and Mentor Of The Meek for some additional draw along with these cheap creatures?
>>97068881nevermind, I think I understand - I mixed up copying and changing targets. If I copied the example I would deal 2 dmg since that's my own amount of creatures, but 5 dmg if I changed the target of the spell since that's still the original spell being cast.
>>970688812 damage. You're the owner of the copy, so "your creatures" are the creatures you own. The only exception would be something that explicitly checks the number of creatures you own when you cast it, which would copy the value the original caster locked in when casting it.
>TQlol yehappens all the time, most often if someone else pisscries about the art
>>97068054BR, but something proper with Chainer, Nightmare Adept
>>97068906I thought about zero cost creatures but I'm not sure. Cloudstone Curio is neat but not sure if it's needed either. I might need something for lifegain. Best case scenario with the deck is I have defiler of faith + oketra's monument out and I get infinite tokens with wine mane lion (but it costs me 2 life every time)
>>97069155I mean, Curio is infinite zombies with Oketra on field and any of the zero cost artifact creatures, and lets you recycle any of your enter the battlefield creatures even if you don't have the flash ones so I'd probably still suggest it. But if you've got a list that works then that's cool too. That Oketra and white blink stuff is decently open so you'll have options to dig through.
Can a creature have multiple instances of Firebending ? For instance if it already has Firebending 2 and you grant it Firebending 4, does it just increase from 2 to 4, or are they separate abilities that stack to 6?
>>97069189Firebending is a triggered ability so yes it can stack.

>>97069196Action is coming
>>97069189It should work like multiple instates of prowess. Each triggers separately. So Firebending 4 and Firebending 2 together nets you two triggers giving you six red in total. Not one big trigger of six.

>>97069199>because capcom is currently extremely insecure about its franchises and need them to look good at any time. After how much shit Wilds caused I am not surprised.

>>97069261Monster Hunter fans are super autistic and are willing to do the one thing most consumers won't: Refuse to buy a product that sucks. They're unironically the demographic that's the least-prone to jumping up and clapping just because the MonHun IP is on it, which is ironic given that Capcom licenses it every time any Capcom game underperforms.Hell, the entire reason this collab happened in the first place was because Capcom released a shit Monster Hunter game and the players refused to buy it, so Capcom is trying to recoup their losses.
How does peregrin took stack with academy manufactor
>>970693102 food, a treasure and a clue whenever one of those is made.
>>97069310Replacement effects apply exactly once. Its controller decides the order. So in addition to whatever token is being made, you will make the standard Academy Manufactor triple special, unless what is being made is already comprised of clues, foods, and/or treasure, in which case you can decide that Pippin goes above Manufactor and just add 1 to the total of Manufactor's diversification.
>>97069302i have no care for monhun, but didnt wilds sell just as well as any other mh title?
>>970693151. that would require stacking your triggers stupidly2. nobody said a food is what's being madeIt's essentially always worse to put Manufactor's replacement above Pippin's replacement unless your board state is negatively affected by having more artifact tokens.
>>970693361-2 investor calls after it's declared as underperforming in growth and retention
>>97069339yeah, mh has it's fanbase. world was the outlier, not the norm.
>>97069336Initially, but then sales cratered once people realized the performance issues. As I understand, latest charts showed it selling worse than previous entries currently do.
>>97069337NTA, but what you're saying is that Took only triggers once per token creation cascade, but manufactor triggers every time a food is made in that process?I'm new, so can you elaborate on why exactly that is?
>>97069273The default state for corporations is to lie publicly about their inner workings. If you want to claim that a corporation like WotC is telling the truth, the burden of proof lies with them/you. Some important points:>WotC is 100% content with releasing dogshit product and does not care about the customer (see limited printing).>WotC has close relationships with some of the corpos from their UB crossovers, proven by how it took them 6 months to ban Vivi from Standard.>Capcom is under a lot of pressure since Wilds, which sold well at release, but has no sales since then. They are also well-known to be ultra-protective of their franchises and unironically believe stuff like video game modding destroy their games' public image, to a point where they implement costly security measures to prevent easy modding in Wilds.
>>97069408Both only trigger once per event, but Academy Manufactor applies to each token in the event when happens. So if you make 1 token, then apply Pippin, you make a second, and then the Manufactor replaces both of them with two of each. If you had 2 Manufactors, you'd get 18 (6 of each) out the other side, under optimal ordering. The thing to note is that Took says *if one or more", so it applies to the entire event as a group no matter how many tokens are made when it applies, whereas the Manufactor just says "a Clue, Food, or Treasure", so it looks at each token individually in the event.
>>97066872>Capcom has no legal recourse so this is retardedOh, have you seen their contract with WotC? Give us your insight, corporatelawyeranon!
>>97069408as the other anons said, you can apply each replacement effect ("instead" wording on the card) once to each event, so putting them in the right order is important:create a food/treasure/clue token>trigger peregrin for +1 food>trigger manufactor to replace both tokens to net you 2x3 tokenscreate a non-food/treasure/clue token>trigger peregrin for +1 food>trigger manufactor to replace peregrin's food token to net you 1x3 tokensjust remember that replacement effects only apply once per event, meaning that they cannot go infinite off each other.
>>97067282>Have you ever bought a card because you saw someone post of picture of it on /edhg/?This place sold me on Feldon, and for that, I am forever thankful. Probably my second favorite Commander now, all told.
>>97068647Make it a theme deck around trolling. Use obscure shit like Avoid Fate or Seedtime, maybe throw a Naked Singularity in there.
>>97068720That ship sailed eons ago. There's no way they're going to program the tens of thousands of cards needed to make it legitimate Commander, not when they're too busy making edited cards and custom cards.
>>97069603I've been working on a "troll deck" incorporating every weird one-off obscure rule and trackable mechanic I can think off just for the sake of forcing weird board states. So far it's got every face down effect, one of each kind of split card, dungeons, rooms, initiative, poison, energy, suspend, foretold, mutate, splice, rebound. I keep debating whether to even try for companion.
>>97069613They already made Brawl on there anyway as a concession to Commander players right? That was their mini version of the format that was realistically programmable. I think it can only be played 1v1 though because the client doesn't support 4-player games.
>>97069622Finish the deck, then see if you can slot in a Companion easily. Who is the Commander?
>>97069626I believe that just takes what was already available and mashes it into one format. To get true Commander would involve programming in a vast swath of cards that would presumably be only usable in the Commander format, and I can't see WOTC putting in that time and effort. Divorce yourself from the idea that Arena will ever truly replace MTGO, because unfortunately, that was never its true purpose.
>>97069453>>97069472Awesome, thanks for the clear explanations. It'll be important to get the most out of chatterfang's effect. One time running through some test games i came across this and started wondering how to resolve it all, for a bit wondered if took and the general would go infinite before realizing something was wrong. >>97067282I sometimes build commanders from anon who are passionate about them. It's hit and miss. odric anon's deck was disappointing for a low IQ retard like me who can't into mono white, adryn anon on the other hand gave me something that was very simply and very satisfying to play.
>>97070326>Only every really does anything when you're already in a winning position.I think your other points are fair and a reason to discount the card, but I feel like people repeat this too often without really mathing out what is or is not a necessary amount of push over the top to actually finish a game. 10 1/1s is a really good position to be in go wide, but they alone are only going to win the game in 12 turns.
>>97070351At the same time, anthems are less mana , less threatening to other players, and similarly speed up the clock; and overrun effects are better at converting a wide boardstate into a win. Nearly any time I drew into CC, I wished I had either drawn into an anthem or an overrun.
>>97070326That's a build-around card. Probably the one I wish most had an effect that was stapled to a commander. It's part of a hundred 2-card combos that go from just the enchantment sitting there to over a hundred points of damage slamming into your opponents, and all because of the generous timing rules.
>>97068040Only bad ones. Well built edh decks can function without their general and have an independent game plan. Ideally the general helps it, but your deck also shouldn't rely upon it unless you have ways to protect it.

The problem with budget decks is that they basically have to go all in on relying on the commander. You can't build a generic good stuff pile that doesn't need its commander if you aren't whaling for the good stuff.Thankfully a lot of protection in colors other than red is pretty cheap too. It just means that good budget decks end up more as high risk high reward tempo decks.
>>97068363It is infact quite shit. See if you can get the convoke one for cheap
Built an Yshtola mana rocks deck. Didn't realize how quickly you run out of cards in it. I've got 35 mana rocks, 15 pieces of interaction, 10 synergy pieces, 40 lands. Cutting some mana rocks seems like the obvious play here but it's a mana rocks deck. The whole point is to be playing 2 of those each turn so I need a pretty high density. The land count is only as high as it is because I didn't realize how slow Yshtola is as a draw engine at first. I could go down to 38 comfortably.Synergy pieces are mostly flash enablers. I've got like 3 board wipes which might be a little much. This is just a silly deck and I don't want to make people groan by destroying everything every other turn. Could cut two of those. Interaction is mostly generic stroke of midnight spells, as well as the impetus cycle since the impetus auras are fun semi-removal options that also let me trigger the 4 damage on other players' turns with their own creatures. Hm hm.
>>97070829How is a deck growing in strength make it a bracket 4? The only difference between a bracket 2 and a bracket 4 is the number of game changers you can run.
>>97070939On a side note it's awesome how cheap this deck is. No one wants to run the crappy 3cmc mana rocks so the majority of the deck is cards you can get for 25 cents or less. One of my cheapest decks yet.

>>97068780It took me over a year to get confident enough to start building my own decks, and my best decks are still the ones I netdecked.Consider keeping a checklist or an order of priorities so that you know what your deck is doing. I'm a big fan of >My Deck Tickled A Sliver MDTAS: Mana, Draw, Threats, Answers, Synergy. That's the general importance of each type of card in your deck. Sort each card into one of those categories and you'll quickly be able to tell if it has too much or too little off a specific one. Hint: The majority of bad/novice deckbuilders just fall into the trap of having WAY too many synergy pieces and not nearly enough draw pieces.
>>97068780How do you browse cards? If you have a LGS and they have binders is maybe worth just going and browsing, seeing if anything catches your eye. Is how I made a v fun samurai boros deck browsing Kamigawa binders and using Cloud, Planet's Champion as commander from a gift

>>97072621buy strong cards that people are bound to have in stock next time or dig through your lgs's draft chaff for your shit cards, easy
97072633b8 still bad even when doubled down
>can't even give a (You) nowyour pity party sucks and i'm just calling you out for it
>>97072360>WTF EDHREC THIS MEANS PEOPLE ARE TELLING ME TO BUILD A DECK OFF THEREAre you a retard? You're being told to check it's categories and "most popular commanders" shit to find the low numbered ones that it doesn't have a lot of decks recorded as existing. Not to actually build the deck off it. If you don't want to do that then go to moxfield, type in every legendary ever made and every deck type ever made and count them.
>>97072594Happy Thanksgiving anon. Speaking of which, is this the only card with an actual turkey on it?
>>97072360Not sure if dumb or bait
>>97072633my locals have no bulk to sort through it fucking sucks
>>97072584>you can't criticize the thing you loved. you must HATEkys
>>97072661that's true because locals don't have the inventory to do so, you'd be lucky if they could jam a box or two full of bulk in one of their two hiking bags
>>97072670you antiUB fags are the first ones to slobber on the absolute trashfire that's UW, give me a fucking break
>>97072577same. first it was just to get my landbase in check. now I just proxy my 30 cent commons to avoid shipping costs
>>97072530>find all cards and go to cart >go to pay>"some items in your cart have been moved to Saved for later">cards in my cart are being bought and removed as I'm trying to pay
>>97072670>commander existing is raping the gameAgain: Why are you here?
>>97072594Happy Thanksgiving, waiting for this damn bird to finish cooking
>>97072584>>97072703>Legend bloat>Out of control card design (even for commander)>"Everyone is heckin valid! Except the people that care about the game.">WOTC now controls the formatI don't hate commander, I hate newfags who think this shit is acceptable and are ok with lying down and taking it or tourists that don't give a shit. EDH existed alongside the game for years no problem but you're likely too new to know that.>"wotc should make what I like and nothing else"Commander is (at least was) an ALT. FORMAT meaning it bends to the main game, not the other way around. But you don't give a shit about this because I'm gonna take a good guess you don't play anything else or know anything else.
>>97072805Now its vastly more popular than the main game.A company should lean into what popular, not what whiny, entitled, manchildren brats want on basket weaving forums. You're just here to complain for the sake of complaining.
>>97072805>the evil WOTC now controls the format>oh the RC? complete angelskekw>Commander is (at least was) an ALT. FORMAT meaning it bends to the main game, not the other way around. But you don't give a shit about this because I'm gonna take a good guess you don't play anything else or know anything else.lmao speak for yourself you've never even played at a 60 card tournament beyond your lgs fnm
isn't the blue spirit kinda good? you get to draw even with blinks
>>97072860Post your DCI card.
Thoughts on attractions Golbez?
>>97072977I gave you advice on how to improve your AI art and I see you ignored all of it.
>>97072937>dox yourselfroru rumaostill seething that nobody actually cares about your shitty RC huh? haha
>>97072980if aifags were capable of improvement they wouldn't be using ai
>>97072977dogshit ai aside that doesn't even look like Golbez
>>97072989You can cover the name and some of the digits with the timestamp retard. You're a newfag not just to this game but to this site.
>>97072977Cool shit. Don't let them drag you down, Anon. Proxying is the best way to enjoy this game currently. Certainly beats engaging with WotC pricing and scalping.
>>97072977very based
>>97072873It definitely fits into lots of decks really well. I have a Flash themed Rashmi deck I slotted it into
>>97073017>aaaaaaaiiiiiieeeee nobody cares about the RC!!!haha
>>97072977Either needs more denoise or your need better promoting for your background, that's a colorful but blurry mess behind him
>>97073023Proxying is great but at least make good proxies. There's so much great art out there and it's not difficult to make great art with AI. Why would anyone settle for the cheap and mediocre option?
>>97073096this is awful though
>>97073000even with a lora it's pretty much impossible to get on model golbez, plus I want him to be happy :)
>>97073096>The mediocre optionScrolling twitter for images to upload to a custom card making website is the mediocre and lazy option.
>>97072994No one is paying you 300 for your art bro. People use AI because the alternative is commissioning someone to make an art piece for you for a fucking proxy. At that point I may as well get a fucking serialized card with how much you people charge>hehe 200 for full body coloredHow about no, fuck?
>>97073113>No one is paying you 300 for your art broThen get better at using AI.At least use a style prompt so it doesn't look like you just put a raw prompt into midjourney and called it a day.
>>97073121>No...I don't like itFeel free to charge people 10 bucks for your art then. Otherwise?CRY
I was actually asking /edhg/'s thoughts on the attractions mechanic with Golbez though.
>ah yes yet another case of proxyfags crying about AI art and that you should pay for real art (but not for real cards ofc)
Stop crying about AI and start crying about people's decksPost decks. Bonus points if mono color
>>97073108Wrong once again, child. The runescape set is so good.
How would you make a no rares budget yuriko pile?
>>97073163is that not only lowpolyshit but lowpolysloppashit?
>>97073160I need to post my Toph deck but Im bad at taking pictures
>>97073175I am too. Plight of not having a well lit living roomLight is for fags anyway
>mono whiteflicker and/or life gain>mono blueartifact combo>mono blackreanimator>mono redgroup slug, pings or damage doublers>mono greenstompy (behemoth/triump)if your deck is any of these: go to jail, do not pass go and do not collect $200
>>97073185If you want to play mono you need to accept your deck is going to be in a small niche of deck types. This is the cost of wanting to have fewer options.LE LACK OF OPTIONS BREEDS CREATIVITY. Not in mono color EDH
>>97073185what if it's flicker vehicles
>>97073185>noooo you can't just kill me with bobble head artifacts in your mono blue deckYes I can.
>>97073187notice that the anon doesn't mention mono red dragons because he is in truth a casual timmy and he specifically calls out green stompy because it happens to beat the stompy decks of the other colors
>>97073160>bonus pointssign me up ese
>>97073185I will be attacking with my army of animated copied Caged Suns in mono blue and there's nothing you can do about it.
>>97073206it's because my deck is dragons
>>97073153They don't want you to pay for art, they just want you to trawl boorus and use fan art instead of AI.
>>97073219>implying that the fan art isn't often ai art too
>>97073185>mono whiteStax>mono blueGroup hug>mono blackDiscard>mono redTreasure ramp into big mana burn spells>mono greenDeathtouch control
>his deck revolves around cards that are this plus that in combination
>>97071941correct. red needs even more of these, unironically.
>>97073233There a good chance these days, whether or not it's the case doesn't change that's what these current people complaining want people to do.
>>his deck revolves around cards
>>97073185>mono whitedon't have one but if i did it would be angels/fliers to get the 7/7 bitch out>mono blueproliferate infect>mono greenselvala creature storm>mono blackchainer lol you got me but alternative is discard and your timmy ass would hate it more>mono redneheb burn
>>97073185>tfw lifegain reanimator damage doubler stompy combowell at least I'm jund
>>97073286Speaking of, I just picked up World Shaper the other day thinking it looks good to keep as my one unaltered precon. I now have five Jund decks.
>>97073121>style prompt so it doesn't look like you just put a raw prompt into midjourneyYou can't even tell what model he's using, can't trust your judgement on whether or not he's using any "style tags"
>>97073185>mono blue aggro + labman>mono green aggro + overruns (kinda like stompy I guess)>mono black aggro>mono red aggroI don't have a mono white deck.Do I have to kill myself? My mono green deck is just toski 1-drops.
>>97073185>mono whiteartifacts / indestructible tribal>mono blueflash theft>mono blacklifegain/loss>mono redtreasure voltron... with a few... damage doublers...>mono greenflash power matters + damage doublers
>>97073306>can't trust your judgement on whether or not he's using any "style tags"Well if he is using them he's not using them well. It looks like generic ai output. You can just from looking at it because of the smooth plasticine look of everything.
>>97073308I don't believe you, you ramp into eldrazi or some shit
>>97073160Six is my grigger. No one ever expects mono green reanimator.https://moxfield.com/decks/jaT8foNE2UexHoTPiCispw
>>97073313You've already proven you don't know anything about how it works or can tell what did or didn't go into it.Stop digging yourself a hole.
>>97073314https://moxfield.com/decks/ysrb-5-fcEKeCcBx-MbkpAIt's a work in progress as you can tell by the nonexistent interaction suite.
>>97073330bro your deathtouch creatures with fight spells?
>>97073160
my last post about sloppa, merry thanksgiving to one all
>>97073386Yeah those, viridian longbow, etc.I got sidetracked by another deck and never got around to finishing this one.
>>97073407See? This one looks way better than the other ones.Good job.
>>97073407>Golbez holding the balloons>name changeThat really was what this needed. If you're going to do these then you may as well have fun with it and let it be silly. Good change.
>>97073407This is the best one. I support your AI anon, I hope you make a fun deck. Attractions are fun
>>97073407HE DID ITHE MADE IT NON SHIT
>>97073407What did you change between this one and the last one
The only thing I hate in edh is when someone runs so many counters/exiles that it's like I'm playing Yugioh
>>97073677I will be playing control and you WILL like it
>>97073712>>97073712>>97073712migrate, or Oko will elk all of your commanders
>>97070453You're the sort of scrub who plays Kaalia and then throws a temper tantrum when she gets popped
>>97073715Old OP here, thanks for making a new thread. Was panic buying some early black Friday single card deals.
>>97068106Behind the scenes preorders were clearly trash if they pulled this back. They didn't even do that for the walking dead.
>>97073286oh shit fellow beamtown bullies enjoyer
