What happened that caused you get punched in your smug fucking face?
>>
>>97072777
What an innocent Toreador woman do to keep herself safe from rapist Hunters, stalking Garous, and incel Mages?
>>
>>97072847
>Hunters
Seduce their wives. They were going over the edge, just speed it up and you'll get either a retainer or contact from the seduction.
>Garou
Fleshcraft yourself into a milf. Also host the lonely wives book club in your pent house instead of the suburbs.
>Mages
Have a posse of sleepers that are club dress ups. Dress ups you lead around to disguise your movements.

Every faction, cept Earthbound, have a KoS on them everytime excluding those that are the exception. A consequence of this is that Imbued are immediately killed on sight and disregarded completely for being a new form of Slasher.
They make BSDs seethe as much as the garou do. Pentex goes through a top-down to bottom-up purge when a middle manager undertakes a calling with maniac glee.

>>
>>97073777
Mostly the Path 6 stuff. Rituals are confusing to read, because you can only make rituals 1 rank below your max, but rituals allow you to generate ffects 1 or more dots higher than the ritual rank.
Example: If you take Summoning/Binding/Warding to 6, you can make a rank 5 ritual with rank 6 effects in all categories, which would let you summon and bind a god permanently so that they must follow both the letter and spirit of your every command. Gaia, they Wyrm, the literal Abrahamic God of DTF, etc, are all fair game.
>It gets weirder, because you get 1 ritual of your highest rank every time you get dots in a path, any rank 6 has one rank 6 ritual with 7th-Dot effects. The book never explains what these would do.

How does this dude get away with at most a couple murders in a world with a camera on every doorway and street corner?
>>
>>97074441
Your average serial killer only gets caught because they gloat excessively and have a compulsive need to go back to the scene of the crime or leave more evidence, your average dude walks somewhere with a mask and walks out bloody in 5-8 minutes and they aren't getting caught without being on some sort of registry already. You wear gloves to cover fingerprints and leave no dna evidence there's almost no chance of getting caught unless your silhouette is three dwarfs in a trenchcoat tier iconic
>>
>>97074441
The entire World of Darkness only works in current year by significantly reducing the number of street cameras. Slashers WAS published in 2009

Yes and no. They're highly specialized but pretty nasty within their specialty. Charmers/Psychos are sneaky social predators, Brutes/Masks are physical powerhouses, Geniuses/Maniacs have the ultimate keikaku. It's Avengers/Legends and Freaks/Mutants that are kind of a toss-up since they don't have a clear niche.

Sounds like a fun motivation for a character. Find some way to, not become human, but for your muscles to grow in proportion to your strength. Vicissitude's the obvious solution, but then you'd face accusations of not accurately representing your gains. Maybe some kind of Potence + Protean amalgam though.

The Lilith torture lesbians have a ritual that restores their heartbeat and digestion. Maybe if you can survive them, they might know something?
>>
>>97075560
I suppose "natty" would mean you're not using two different techniques:

>>
>>97077056

>>
>>97077083
>>97077180
I think my problem with them is mostly that Paths are a low effort solution to Humanity's inadequacy as a system. Pretty much none of the Paths actually sell you on them being even remotely inhuman, and some of them come off as pretty puerile. If some vampire were to explain the Path of Orion or Night to me, I probably wouldn't be able to keep a straight face.

They implicitly accept that Humanity is just late 20th century milquetoast morals and provide you with alternative, often very arbitrary alternative morals. All that really does is just double down on the big problem with Humanity, which is that it isn't actually a measure of how much Humanity your vampire holds onto. Which creates things like Paths that really shouldn't be considered even a little human like Honorable Accord or even Power and the Inner Voice, Paths that are just "being my clan's stereotype" like Typhon or Blood. I would almost, ALMOST like Metamorphosis if it did a better job of convincing you of the "I am turning into an eldritch horror" angle.

>>97077257
Roads are a better, more refined version of Paths, but they're still built on a flawed premise. I find them more tolerable than Paths, but I still don't like them.

What is the project?
>>
>>97077345
Creating an easily accessible PDF version of my table's Vampire: the Masquerade to VtR rules conversion. Complete with art and everything.

We don't typically deal with pathfaggotry for PCs, and when we do we play it (and humanity writ large) fairly fast and loose, relying mostly on circumstances, character motivation, and relative heinousness of the action. Sometimes you can even auto-lose Humanity with no roll. At the same time, you can regain Humanity through RP rather than exp. Paradoxically I think this makes humanity feel less arbitrary and more real.

But it wouldn't be a full conversion without at least a basic set of rules for Paths of Enlightenment, so I felt obligated to include a decent chunk of them.
>>
I am doing an alien invasion chronicle with WTA and MTA focus. Wish me luck.

So the niece and nephew threw me a curveball in the Hunter: the Vigil session and I’m looking for help on what’ll happen next
Last session, they boarded their plane to Pennsylvania to avoid police questioning but discovered that there was a Gremlin on board(think WW2 gremlins). It’s a mastiff-sized creature with an equally large rat-like tail that ends in a 2 foot wide paddle with an eye and three claws on it. It was fucking with them while invisible when one of them had enough and whacked it, only to dramatically fail. So the gremlin whacked them back with its tail, dealing two lethal and immobilizing them. The other one tried to hit it in retaliation only to also dramatically fail. Causing him to get whacked for 1 lethal. Now scared, they tried to hide but failed. In a desperate attempt to get someone to land the plane and get off instead of dealing another hour with this creature, my niece’s hunter decided to fake a seizure and trigger an emergency landing and actually succeeded despite the chance die. At this point I was nearing the end of time, so I had the Gremlin try to open the plane door with its super strong tail, but my nephew’s Hunter ran over and used his animal ken, risked willpower, and succeeded in convincing the Gremlin that despite it being really funny to suck everyone out of the plane at 30000ft, “everyone” would include it as well.
I cut it off there, but now I don’t really know what to do next. I’ll likely have to run again today so I’m coming to you folks in my time of need!
>>
>>97077636
The Gremlin backs off, with the implication that it may renew its shenanigans at lower altitude. Everyone and it may die at 30000 feet, but 10000 feet? More chaos and less everyone dies.

I'm with the other anon. Gremlin doesn't realize the difference in practical terms between 30k and 10k. Let's them off because it 1. damaged them, 2. messed with 'em, and c. scared them stiff. Alongside the life threat, it could quickly become bored and surely there's less aware people on the plane it could fuck with. Like the plane stewardess, captain(s), or eventual plane technicians.
>>
>>97077636
For starters, being able to open a plane door midflight means that it's stronger than the air pressure of about 12 tons. You may not want a gremlin capable of that level of strength. You could maybe play into it though, and decide that the gremlin was bluffing to get the hunters off its back, or even get something in exchange for not doing it. Alternatively, once the plane descends it'll be easier to open the door so maybe the gremlin just bides its time, and the hunters are on the clock to figure out how to deal with it while they themselves are injured. Third option would be that it drops the door plan entirely and just fucks with them some other way. Maybe it's a snakes on a plane situation, or maybe there's actually some other supernatural on the plane which is far more threatening that it can rile up.

>>
>>97077636
I'm with the others. Have it result in the gremlin backing off for at least enough time to buy the hunters time to figure out a more permanent solution.

It's incredibly important to avoid getting stuck in a railroading mindset. Sometimes your players will come up with plans you didn't see coming, and they're actually good. Don't cheat them of their earned victory because it means you'll have to come up with a different plot than that which you expected. At the same time, sometimes your players will screw up royally in ways you didn't even know were possible. Don't skimp on the consequences either. This is a cooperative storytelling venture, so don't think in terms of linear story. If you fight it when things don't go to plan, you'll just make it a worse experience for your players.

As promised, here it is, more or less completed, Dagon the Descent. I am not done working on this project, of course (I HAVEN"T EVEN BLOODY TESTED IT OUT), but this is it. Featuring actual pointers for how Deep One Chronicles work, more headers for ease of access, more Powers, more Merits, a bit more lore (we'll get to Weresharks eventually, I just have a lot on my plate to read).
Next update will be soon as I will compile all my talks with the author to make the 3-4 starting Chronicle scenario ideas we have. Then its Rokea and maybe a Merit for resisting mind control and/or psychic attacks? I am not sure, since Deep Ones were inspired by the Minions of Marmora and their greatest enemy is a Cthulhu and his psychic spawn AND their Humanity equivalent makes them easy to thrall if it reaches 0. Being weak to mental attacks is kind of the thing, just like how Vampires become monsters the more monstrous actions they do. But Vampires do have Paths to negate Humanity...

Anyway, Feedback is welcomed and desired!

>being able to open a plane door midflight means that it's stronger than the air pressure of about 12 tons.
This is not necessary true outside of the very technical sense. Sure, that may be 12 tons to open normally. But a Gremlin may just deform the frame enough to make it give, at which point all that pressure suddenly works against it. The gremling doesn't pull the bars or turn the valve, it scratches the door, tail-swipes the frame, and bleeds on the mechanicals.

Just food for thought.

It's a bit of a mix of OG XCOM, Phoenix Point my own ideas and Gemini Home Entertainment.

Setting:
One day, WoD Earth got invaded. Ethereals, their mothership and fleet arrived and promptly smashed into the True Horizon and the Technocratic fleets. What's left of it barely managed to make a landing in Eastern Russia.

This made it to the news and the Technocracy, especially Void Engineers, saw their chance ot massively speed up certain developments, joined the fun. Got governments to quarantine the location and "reverse engineering" their tech. Furthermore, surviving aliens, Ethereals, snakes and all, requested to talk with the Technocracy.

Unfortunately, before this can go through, the aliens Ethereals running from arrived. They smashed through the weakened True Horizon defenses but seeing that aliens invading are worse than the Technocracy, the Traditions came running. The majority of the alien forces were stopped at Jupiter but a significant number made landfall in Africa and America, including some major cities.

Immediately conversion of civilians and the terraforming of the environment started at those locations. A plague never seen before started to spread like cancer. Shapeshifter and those wise to the spirits began to saw strange spirits never seen before on Earth. The Technocracy got ready to take more overt actions as even nukes weren't enough to stop the spread fast enough.

Then the third alien arrived.
>>
>>97077583
How about the Garou?
>>
>>97078292
Meh, less diverse. Either humanoid or knots.
>>
>>97078207
It wasn't a fleet like the others. It wasn't even technically a race either. It was a crimson planet. It was an organic planet. And it smashed through any defenses left like butter. Perhaps if it were the first invader, it would have been stopped but now, it wasn't enough. With its arrival, a wave of strange energy washed through the solar system. With it Chulorviah started to mutate into numerous forms and beings. Some become hives that started to pump crimson blood, blood of the alien planet, into the ocean. Some become spider like broodmothers, and began spawning endless waves. And some become worse, transmitters to amplify the crimson planet's cries, weakening the Gauntlet of Earth.

Spirit inclined Mages and shapeshifter like Garou noticed it at first but all those touched by crimson blood become something else. Gaian Spirits began to mutate and become hostile to all other spirits. Weaver Spirits, those who didn't calcify themselves to kill themselves, began to obey another. Wyrm spirits fared better and Wyld spirits were outright immune but even they faced difficulties they hadn't encountered before. Rokea found out that they were stalked by animals touched by the blood and, Corax realized that birds closer to the sea started to drip blood across the migrations to the inland.

In the meantime, from the sea came the swarms. At first they were small in numbers but with everyday, as more of the oceans got corrupted, the larger they became and they started taking landlocked animals and Humans back to the sea. Worse, even as they were fended off, they spread the crimson blood in their bodies to the land, creating zones where normal humans just...died.

The only bright side of this was the fact that the second aliens, now named Pandorians, were also hostile to what is now called Crimson Brood. This was further reinforced when crimson blood seemed to mutate Pandorians just as well as humans.
>>
>>97077888
Leviathan is about you playing as Godzilla trapped in a human body and using weird cults to slowly recover your strength and turn into a kaiju (from my understanding). Dagon the Descent is about playing as Deep Ones of Dagon, not Dagon himself, who could be a Leviathan, an Earthbound Demon, some weird natural monster (like the actual biblical Leviathan), a really powerful Spirit with a physical body, or something else entirely. But he is of this world, he is alive, he can mate with Mortals and his children start out as Mortals with Sorcery that slowly metamorphose into even more powerful, long lived aquatic Sorcerers. Just like Shadow over Innsmouth.

Is a Dagonite Master Sorcerer stronger than a fully unleashed Leviathan? Well I have no idea if Leviathans can use Sorcery or any perform any form of crosssplat action, if no, then a Deep One could maybe pull something off using Hedge Magic, Deep Magick and Blood Sorcery, but if Leviathans CAN use Sorcery then a Dagonite's only trick is stabbing it with coral spears laced with arsenic and mercury and praying for the best.

>>97078294
The living planet from which Crimson Blood originated has been stopped next to Jupiter. A force of Archmages and High Scientists is actively preventing its further progress alongside Celestine of Jupiter and his brood. The remaining Technocratic and Tradition forces are fending off the remaining fleets of the Pandorians. The lower ranked Technocrats and less experienced Mages of the Traditions are on Earth, needed to help against those who got through.

Governments of the world are scrambling. Sea trade is completely halted as Oceans turn to a blood red color and spews out the Crimson Brood. Half of Africa is now Pandorian jungle, alongside South America. Ethereals are still passive but it seems they realized the shit they are in alongside Humanity.

Shapeshifters are worse. Werelion Black Tooth stopped his conquests as he is now struggling to keep the rest of Africa from Pandora virus. Endless Storm is slowly but surely dwindling against all the odds. Garou Nation just learned from their latest spirit journeys that a chunk of the living planet silently made a landfall on the moon and if no one stops it, the moon will turn crimson. Already all moonbridges have a red hue they never had before. Rokea, apex killers of the ocean, find themselves losing ground as even their combat prowess in the sea can't stop the endless advance of crimson. Similarly, Merfolk retreated to their cities but Murdhuacha are gearing up towards a total war they have never done before, under prayers to Dagon.

>"We've had high expectations for a long time, since we saw that it was a good game with a strong IP in a genre with a broad appeal," commented Paradox CEO Fredrik Wester. "A month after release, we can sadly see that sales do not match our projections, which necessitates the write-down. The responsibility lies fully with us as the publisher. Don't you worry anon. They're tested, rigorously, and many times over. It takes both a steady hand and an iron will to keep the garou focused in such an environ.
Gnawers are more varied, naturally, but they tend to be slightly above average. Striders tied with Gazers for being the median tribe Silver fangs, as previously said, are smallest.

Furies are that high because they're not just the biggest, fattest, or cutest. They've got the production to match too. More than any other tribe, the Furies are steeped in Wyld energy which has a positive impact on their packages and their virility.
Don't get me started on the smell. I swear there's no actual connection.

>Thinly veiled metis lust
Considering a good third of the garou nation is a metis of some kind, that's kinda hard to divorce culturally. Despite how the hardliners might try.

Like I said, and I need to run more tests, I believe it's the wyld energies they unwittingly steep themselves in. Red talons at least have the arguably case that a lupus-born keeps their proportional size when they shift. So most of the biggest in the tribe are lupus instead of something harder to grasp. The arguments this correlation spawned is a lasting migraine I still feel to this day.
>>97078506

I don't think they want to end the world or anything apocalyptic. They just want to plunder the system and have their turn on the wheel of corruption. I think they're just your usual cronies. You could say the AI bubble and infinite data center growth is nephandic shit, sure. But this is enabled by the Technocracy. The problem with the Technocracy in old editions is it supported centralization under these elites that will inevitably cause problems. There's little new about what they're doing. I definitely wouldn't say they're Threat Null because Threat Null is the logical conclusion of Technocrat ideals. I definitely wouldn't say they're a pure spiritual form embodying these (insane) ideals.

I really do not care for the new books and many groups trying to sanitize the Technocracy by blaming Nephandi. I don't even want Technocrats to just be evil, I just think that they are being absurdly glazed up by overly using absurd scapegoats. I would rather they just be god damn puppets that a couple supernaturals are taking turns on, if anything.

Vampire population is about 40 per large city so still pretty damn bleak. I think WoD and White Wolf were too used to small town Americana as a setting to really encapsulate the proper occult society vibe. Werewolf packs individually being the size of like 5-8 in a sizeable territory of a medium sized town is okay, but in a dense and huge place like NYC you'd realistically have at least hundreds of Garou off of just interest, let alone breeding and built in population. But yes, Garou Nation in W20 is about 12K Garou + what I assume to be maybe 100k kinfolk. Would expect closer to a million Garou across Europe and NA in total though more logically but it sells the whole nation in decline aspect more with 12 thousand

>that is smaller than the total Vampire population, no?
vampire in general are the biggest splat when it comes to population number (not counting wraiths) with total being given to be somewhere between 40 and 100k but the later might include the kuei jin

mage itself says that there are only 1 mage per 25 vampires not counting embraces done just for the sake of conflict in one of it's st books

and garou again between 12 and 15k with only around 1k in the entire soviet union

supernatural population in general are tiny as hell in wod at the lowest end we also have some fera tribes that are just double digit and there been a total of 70ish mummies before the 6th malestrom and that may or may not include the dozen cabiri mummies and all samedi vampires allegdly fit into a single train cart and they are one of the larger bloodlines in wod

A Metis.
A Garou whose birth form is Crinos. Meaning they are born as a Crinos. It is not a fun time for the mother. See image.
They can also have mutations and derangements. Their First Change is the ability to become a wolf or a human, meaning they need to be raised in Septs and Caerns until it happens.
>>

yes. if you hit them with a "show your true form power" a metis goes into warform

For Awakening unga bunga, like for o-mage, there's many ways that can even be combined. here's some I've seen/done in my games:

the classic knife/gun Acanthus that pretty much everyone who has played nMage has seen at some point, using Fate and Time for buffing his dice pools to get re-rolls and rote action on his combat pools + Acceleration to go fast and dodge bullets while doing it. Years ago I ran a game 1e set in NYC where one of my players got into a swordfight with a Celerity using Vampire with a katana and I basically described them as flash-stepping anime style around the building.

Life magic of course is the easiest thing to use for Unga-bunga. You can even be subtle with it, buffing your stats only to peak human or barely over (6 dots) combined with Puissant Skill or an equivalent in 2e to also get rote action on your combat skills. It can also make you hardier beyond just more health boxes, layering extra Armor beneath whatever you're wearing and gives you the option of ripping open fools with your bare hands turned into claws.

An off the wall one I've done in one of my games, a proximus family had as sort of a family guardian a Revenant Mage. Basically she had turned herself into a magic wielding super-zombie with boosted stats from Death Magic, downgraded lethal damage like kindred, no arcana but could use the rotes she knew in life as numina and wore a thaumium torc that gave her a respectable countermagic pool and she wielded a Matter-enhanced short spear and a similarly enhanced handcannon. When not "in-action" she was either teaching her rotes to an awakened family member if the was one or she was put in a sarcofagus that used Time magic to shunt her in the future of "the next time the sarcophagus is open". She was called Granmother Fury.

The way we did it with Dagon, is that, because 1: Terra is more Ocean than Earth, there’s a lot of space for human/supernatural life and 2: because every supernatural depends on human society to survive or is stuck with humans, they keep fighting for territory and killing each other, but rarely cause problems underwater.
So Deep Ones are very numerous, numbering around a million, with the only reason they aren’t even more numerous is because the ratio of Sunken (0 Willpower, easy to thrall meatheads that cant really do magic or perform complex jobs) to Deep Ones is 250:1. Honestly even that is a terrifyingly small number, 4000 Sapient Deep Ones, actually worse off than the Werewolves. Maybe I can bump the numbers a bit.

It cannot be overstated how incredibly useful passive buffs are when you are playing a Mage, especially as a fight drags on. A couple rotes to make yourself a Strength 8 Chad with Wolverine's regeneration running in the background and a couple more tricks will see you through a fight quite well, and you'll still have room for pulling crazy bullshit like suplexing a giant spider God-Machine Angel to death. Also Spirit, making Fetishes is a handy way to get around that pesky Paradox in a pinch, on top of making a bunch of unga bunga McGyver gadgets. Being Thyrsus is kino.

Anon, you're missing the meat and potatoes of most sorcerer shenanigans, Alchemy and Enchanting. Enchanting allows you to enhance any item to provide up to your path level in extra dice to any attribute, ability, or other roll, as a minus in difficulty to the previous, or to copy power from Any supernatural up to 2 dots. Alchemy can do the same, but with half the dice/difficulty enhancements and up to the 3rd dot in powers(except for changeling, wraith, or imbued abilities).
Both of the above stack(alchemy to make super-materials, to be made into enchanted objects). This is how you get prepared sorcerers able to throw around 50 dice in whatever roll they need.

to alleviate your feelings, you can ask the other players what they thought they were doing wrong during this session and you'll see they are the same
can't be the best player game one
>what can I do to pump up my RP skills on the offtime between sessions?
acting or RP skills? they are not the same
if you wanna quip around, yeah take acting classes (improv sessions), if you wanna RP, you just need to note down the basic traits of your characters with one or two quirks you want to be integral to your roleplay and reference them each time you describe the actions of said character
>>
>>97079802
Easiest thing to do is pretend to be a character you're already familiar with. Maybe you really like Batman or something, just pretend to be Batman. Yes, it'll be stupid, but you'll start getting into the mindset of "What would Batman do in this scenario?" and "How would Batman treat this person?" and such. Once you're comfortable with that, you can move onto mixing together a couple different characters. So now you need to answer a multiple choice question whenever you make a decision. After that, graduate to making your own characters, now your decisions are open response.
>>
>>97079802
I usually take a movie character I like as a basic template and go from there. I do talk to myself a lot in character for fun
>>
>>97079823
Sometimes I talk to myself, but only when there's no one around, it feels awkward with people/family around and I have to suppress that part of myself, been doing it for decades.
I'll try talking to myself and see how it feels... I found singing in the car out loud in full volume was pretty liberating and good for the... getting over awkwardness thing?
>Was this with your regular group? What splat were you playing?
It's V20, it's a regular group full of newbies, so it felt like everyone were struggling with responses just as I was. The ST is pretty experienced, at least. I'm glad to have him.
>>97079844
>and reference them each time you describe the actions of said character
Yeah I guess this feels like the best way to go about the 'roleplaying as a new player' thing, just to describe what my character does instead of trying to actually roleplay.
At the same time, if I look at the question/scenario, then check for the response from my notes sheet, then reply back with my quirks attached, that feels like a very robotic/automated reaction and not quite the RP I feel it should be... too formulaic(?)
>>97079853
>>97079878
Also noted... that feels like a great tip, actually, thank you. Pretending to be my character in day-to-day scenarios sounds kinda interesting.

I appreciate all the tips, thanks all

>too formulaic
Well remember a quirk is just a nudge into how your character might act or approach a situation. Your character's experience, and their skill set can also influence it. Like a lens one might use to cast red light.

For example: a talkative social person who's working in IT might be given a mechanical problem say car troubles. Their experience, and this is a reach on my part, could offer the solution of looking up a how to video. Their vocational field would also help them figure out better avenues of which sites might offer more meaningful answers. Meanwhile, because they're a little social butterfly, the idea of looking up a diy vid is placed in fourth since they can just call a friend to come help them. There could even be the odd third choice in that the problem pops up while they're at the company they work at. So a security officer sees them, offers to help, and that overrides the social butterfly quirk and diy vid option.

>just to describe what my character does instead of trying to actually roleplay
but describing what your character does IS actually what roleplaying is all about

I feel like that and the modernity of 2020 is the only reason to play W5, it's uniquely bleak and even if doesn't feel like WtA because of getting a job and shit, it's still kind of cool. I just avoid all the gay lore changes and probably kinfolk removal

How many dots of True Faith do the Belmonts have? Also they're totally Mages, right? Some kind of hereditary Mage bloodline somehow.

Might be something closer to Shih/Sorcerer hybrids. Martial techniques passed down the family plus accumulating occult lore and marrying sorceresses. Unless Sypha is a full mage instead.

>>
>>97080668
>>97080638
Definitely Sorcerors, I don't think any past the first had actual True Faith going on, maybe at most 2-3 dots of it. The first Belmont had to have been a 10 True Faith gigachad
>>
>>97080690
>all of them are powered by wallmeat and heart power to throw magical demon killing weapons out of their buttcrack
>absurdly durable, at least substantially more than a standard human
>wielding a weapon that probably outright requires not only high Humanity but likely True Faith
>also they can still do this in their 70s and are arguably only getting stronger the more they age

I dunno I think the whip-wielders at least have 4 True Faith and I'd argue someone like Julian is definitely above 4. Then again Richter got Shaft'ed and brain broken so he can't have been 4 Faith. That generally makes one completely immune to mental manipulation and trickery.

Mummies except the powers are in the whip not the person.

It makes sense that they're terrible if you re-examine the gender dynamics. Most girls expect to be "Chased", meaning it's on the guy to impress Her. Even with sluts, their standards are just much lower. So their ends up being literally no reason to improve their sex skills.
Compare to a girl that actually gives a shit about how you feel/think(I know, difficult to imagine in modern day, but they still exist somewhere), they work to impress their man because they want to make them happy. A happy accident normally found along the way is that women often find they Love to feel skilled and sexy when they actually polish their skills, it just takes getting them out of a retarded default mindset(often takes a while).

What is the most secure yet least threated splat you could be in WoD?

Like, you have power enough to defend yourself from becoming prey to random monsters, but your also not embroiled in cutthroat secret societies or debilitating curses that leave you unable to have a family a house & just grill?
>>
>>97080800
This is true. When I first met my wife she couldnt handle my size & we had to have very careful slow sex, she couldnt give a decent blow job either, but after years of practice with me she can take it all & it makes her feel really proud
>>
>>97080804
Sorcerer
>can set up useful rituals and whatnot, protective or otherwise
>have variably useful knowledge, may or may not come up
>not important enough for Mages to bother

The issue is mostly that a vampire or fey or wolf might not actually know you're a Sorc, but if you became a target of random violence you'd be somewhat better equipped to deal with it.

...Literally None of them. The technocracy is going to send people to your house the moment its surveillance AI detects you're able to use magic from the hidden patterns in your google searches.
Every Splat has 2 options: Join an oppressive hierarchy or creatures trying to use you or be hunted down like a dog because you're not just a magical second class citizen, you're an active threat to their secret societies staying secret.

Depends on location and time. You're below the notice of many major orgs, but that also means you have no protection. A sabbat Pack can strole up and drain you for the extra-potent vitae with no repercussions.
If you're powerful enough to wipe them, they you're too powerful to actually be low on the "fuck with" list.

>>97080946
I think Sorcerers can research some sort of their own magic but the way sorcery is structured it's pretty difficult without insane arcane talent, and you'd still be limited by rules compared to Mages. Personally, I love JoJo's interpretation that the supernatural is drawn to the supernatural so that simply by engaging in Sorcery you have altered fate and put yourself on a collision course with more supernatural, like your city might get a new coterie rolling in, maybe there's a new Pentex operation drawing in the Garou, maybe Mages found some good research material there, it doesn't matter
>>
>>97080982
A court just phases into existence if the city's big enough

>>97081000
Attaboy, you want to be prepared for when the sabbat get uppity. Maybe if you tweak out on arcane hard enough you might straight up awaken or get to take down the technocrat agents
>>
>>97081016
Outside of occult study, hauntings would probably be the other way things "naturally" pop up. Haunts in shadowlands pop up entirely through mundane/murder means, I think.
>>
>>97080804
Even if you achieve the perfect balance of a character that's able to defend itself from most supernatural threats while being insignificant enough to not draw any attention, that character still exists in the World of Darkness, with its obscenely high crime rate to the point where murder is barely newsworthy, full of consumer goods saturated with spiritual corruption that contaminates consumers, controlled by a multiple of shadowy cabals dedicated to keeping humanity blinkered and bound to their wills, with myriad apocalypse scenarios looming on the horizon and threatening to end the world as everyone knows it at any moment.

The World of Darkness is one of the worst settings ever conceived for a self-insert character that just wants to live a safe, comfy life free from danger. Even if they manage to insulate themselves from any supernatural threat and all of the flaws of society, an apocalypse event could still just happen and ruin everything and there's no escaping that.
>>
>>97080966
Being Kiasyd is like working the reference desk at a library nobody actually visits. Maybe once a century the local Archbishop drops by to borrow a book.
>>
>>97080804
I think just a vampire that found a small city/town with minor drug problems will easily be able to stay most secure. Vampires to humans are something like 1:100,000 so a city of 30,000 is almost guaranteed to have no competition, and splats bumping into other splats is super rare.
Assuming they play their cards right and hide their trail, I don't see why they couldn't stay most secure, maybe using a crackhouse nobody cares about as their haven and feeding off bums. The hardest part might be maintaining sanity as you spiral into doing the same thing every day.
>>
"Is It Wrong To Pick Up Girls In The Hedge?" would make an entertaining Chronicles Of Darkness isekai.
>>
>>97081027
Interesting, I guess hauntings in themselves would invite other supernatural stuff in given that every necromancer wants to do some ghost slavery or something
Ironic that for as much as they can enslave the humble wraith, they can never enslave the wraiths more than they enslave themselves

Vampires are the most cursed. You cant live even a quasi-normal life.

>>97081045
Its not that you can be immune to it, its the idea of going with the flow, dodging what you can, deflecting what you can. You could die of heart attack, aneurysm, or some random mugging or auto accident in real life. Just looking to make a character somewhere between victim & victimizer
