>>97086171These OPics are great>What is your ONE biggest gripe with each edition? For 1.0 it would be how pointless infantry was, if people didn't care about their marines you wouldn't see a single infantry model in their list. For 2.0 it would be how wildly unbalanced dreadnoughts were, to the level that the entire game revolved around them. When everybody in the community agrees to implement a hard limit on how many you can bring, with nobody arguing against it, you know shit's fucked up.For 3.0 it's the absolutely retarded marine model outlines they used for the FOC slot icons. Not all armies are marines, and the slot with a recon marine on it allowing you to bring a land raider explorator is just so dumb and confusing way more people than it should.

>>97086769With the new plastic HH infantry you can only really use the shoulderpads, arms, and helmets from that kit. Because the new kits have the torso attached to the legs you can't use those from older kits. Can use most of the weapons with a little effort, but which ones are HH era depends on how autistic your local rivet counters are.
>>97086641Keep 40k marines in 40k. Only a few bits of those kits are ok in 30k. Most of the bits are anachronic, and dated to much later in the timeline after the HH. > I have some mk6 tac marines and I am planning on mixing and match the armors to give some character to my marinesmk6 tacs in the HH were mass produced legionaries. Like SW clone troopers. This isn't 40k where each marine is a bit unique, unless they were Great Crusade vets in mk2/3 > Are the HH models that much larger compared to the 40k tac marines?not as big as primaris, they're like nuCSM, but still very noticeable if you look for it. Seriously, save these boxes for the inevitable midhammer 40k nostalgia fad in a few years. Or play 4th ed with them, dunno. But do not be yet another cheap and lazy cunt using 40k shit in 30k becuase he doesn't want to bother doing things the right way. Don't ruin the pseudo historical vibes of the game.
do the mk2 bolters fit on the mk6 kit?
>>97086950I am going to use them for 40k(Badab war) not for 30k. I was just wondering if the chests and arms from the tac squad are compatible with the torso of the 30k marines.
>>97086983Yes, it's literally the exact same 5 models anyway.
>>97086986The arms, yes. Torsos and legs are one piece in the new HH kits, so you'd need to cut them in half if you want to use old 40k marines torsos
>>97086280> FOC slot iconsFor the life of me I don't understand why they don't just write out the word 'Recon'. There's a bizarre aversion to doing things simply and writing simple terms with complex pictures that makes no fucking sense to me.
>>97087001Ahh. Ok thanks anon.
>>97087007Okay this might be hard to understand for autistic fucks like you and me anon, but for most people, reading is hard and takes a lot of effort. A simple, abstract icon is something that they can recognise and understand much faster than having to read even a single word.
>>97086811wait, what the fuck the kit has two powerfist. Was there an upgrade kit released or is this some sort of box release only thing. Because one of the worse things about the starter set saturn dudes is that they have only one open fist each.
>>97086939I just build the HH kit and cut it in half to add a veteran chestplate from the DA veteran box.
>>97087026The only way to get dual disruptions fists officially is with the Saturnine Praetor model; he holds the hammer in his right hand and the axe on his left, so you only get one spare hand. For the command squad, you can't take the axe without also taking a fist. So, the logistics are somehow even worse than Terminator weapons.
You guy think this model could be used as a counts as Death Guard Apothecary, til GW releases a real upgrade kit to make them?
>>97087026>square studs on the fistsThose are quite obviously pr00nts
>>97087068Hammers for Cataphractii/Tartaros more specifically I should've added. Gotta get them off the Assault Termie kits, which I'd have no problem getting but I wish Indomitus guys had characters to go with them at least. Left/right handed weapons might be a problem too, depending.
>>97087072No counts as, that straight up is a legal apothecary model anon. Keep using it, don't become a mindless cons00mer slave to GW's slop.
>>97087089Ah okey. Thanks. I do consum, but only stuff people give me. I wouldn't start a DG army, if it wasn't for anons here that told me that, after my mom painted a pretor I should give him an army to be a leader of. So I am slowly building a small Death Guard army.
>>97087072 That's just an apothecary you idiot.
>>97087116Thank you anon. It looked like an apothecary to me. But when I get given a model. Or get models from a collection partition, I rather come here and ask what it is. For example I didn't know that the difference between a Champion, Pretor and Centurion is practicaly non existent as far as dude+big sword goes.
>>97086769this
>>97086769>No official lore confirming or denying thisSource: I made it the fuck up.
>>97087023Icons are not simpler or easier for anyone on the planet. That is not why they use icons. Icons are used purely as a nostalgia thing because on battlefield maps, you can't have the word "recon" running around so they'd use a triangle or square or circle instead of a word. That way the location on the map is small and obvious. 40k used these style of icons for FOC to pretend to be a military thing, not because there's any usability advantage for army-building (there's none whatsoever, it's slower by default)
>>97087023All primarchs aren't Rogal Dorn, anon
I wish there was Siege Cataphractii, and that Siege Termies could take power fists at east, not necessarily chainfists only. Still wouldn't use them, but it'd be nice :^)
>>97087594 I wish Chainfists did 3 damage. It wouldn't make up for the -1 Attack, but at least it'd be something.
>>97087618Yeah. On a 2A base Termie, a chainfist is only better against a vehicle with rear AV12. If it is rear AV11 or 10, a power fist is still better than a chainfist simply because -1A is that steep a detriment. Even against a T7 enemy you'd need to have 4A base for the chainfist to be the better weapon. Against a T5 enemy, you'd need like 8A (can WE reach that?)Chainfists are worse than power fists against every possible target except heavy vehicles. Not just any vehicle, exclusively heavy ones.
>>97087716The problem is you're under the retarded notion you need specialist anti-tank weaponry to slay AV10 vehicles. Every vehicle soft enough that powerfists are fine is so soft that thunderhammers are what the unit should be packing instead. And against AV13-14, powerfists do essentially nothing at all while chainfists are deadly. There's simply no reason to ever choose powerfists in 3rd edition unless they're forced on you like mandatory on certain terminators. Bringing 75-80% thunderhammer and 20-25% chainfist does more damage to hard targets and equal guaranteed-kill on soft tanks.
>>97087809Now chainfists truly are specialist weapons. Prices are wrong, though: chainfists are equal to TH unless you already have a TH/PF, in which case it's further +5 pts.I'm glad power fists...are even less relevant now? How am I supposed to react to their obsolescence? I'm yet to math them against Saturnines, but hammers are faster anyways
>>97087561Icons were great for presenting stuff easily at-a-glance...when there were five of them and everyone know what each meant with a glance. Now you're quinting at any of a dozen slightly different outlines of a Marine and trying to figure out if that's a sword or a gun and then remember which each means and it's fucking retarded. Then again, so is the whole army construction system for 3.0, so it's on-theme at least.
>>97086769The Lathe pattern jump pack is archaeotech and looks identical to the mk7, so it's fine :)

>>97086171fuck you for making me think this was a bionicles thread
>>97088041
>>97087879The elephant in the room is that Thunder Hammers are just way too optimal now that there's very little reason to take ANYTHING else. Not just PFists/ChainFists. But power-weapons in general. And they're incredibly spammable unlike Chainfists.Personally, I'd nerf the damn things down to D1 and then give them Critical 5+ or 6+. So they're still AP2, still strong enough to wound a Terminator of a 2+ but you don't instantly kill one all the time, only a third of the time. Whereas the Powerfist will more reliably rock-em-sockem someones head off.

>>97088078Unsure, for I already pretend S7 i2 are actually power fists, and the stronger slower S8 i1 weapons are the harder-hitting hammers, borne only by a few in the squad, meant to hit hard big stuff after their brothers' opening attacks. At stuff like Dreads and Automata, no? And maybe Saturnines...?
>>97086171I'm interested to see how many of you lean into the more "historic wargamey" aspects of HH.So a crestion for you all, when making /yourdudes/ did you make them as an actual company of marines or did you go buck wild?To further clarify did you go in with a story in mind or did you make it as you went?
>>97088214I did both. My Alphas are lost in the sauce and no longer sure if they're loyalists pretending to be traitors or just traitors. My militia are opportunists. My Thousand Sons are technically opportunists but have been hanging around my Word Bearers too much and so lean toward traitor.
>>97088240Awww I don't like that schizo "am I loyal or traitor" angle :(I wish to pretend Alphas are loyal indeed, but see to the wellbeing of mankind over the Imperium, which wouldn't necessarily be the same. That the goal of eternal war is better than any one side winning or losing for good, so they do what they do with (and against) both factions
>>97088214All my marines are envisioned as part of a company, but they've obviously got stuff not actually part of the company because despite having over 100 marines in both forces I don't have say 90 tacticals or despoilers to every other unit in the army

>>97089127Artillery spam seems pretty good. Blasts are pretty accurate now, and the ability to just force lots of status checks is good for denying enemy scoring.

>>97089669They are basically immuned to status while being able to shower you under them (including fixed 3 on a 5" pie plate). They also have extremely strong combos and bonuses and most of their robots have very high thoughness. Even urtarax with prime advantage have like strenght/toughness 6 with 3 w and save 3+ and tons of ap 3 attacks, for 160 for 6.Basically your small arms are useless, while the robots constantly heal/regen and grind you out.

I hadn't really registered how good at shrugging off statuses the regular thallax-type heavy infantry were, I saw the reasonably poor Ld and did not inquire further. I have seen the Cybernetica proper go down hard to normal lascannons, at least.>>97089821Only Lacrymaerta priests, they're still Infantry, but if you have 3W Ursarax who might be worth repairing then you definitely have Lacry priests, and those can repair themselves as well because techpriests are also infantry.I haven't been able to test it yet but I have a feeling that Magi are damn near impossible to snipe with their saves, if they don't die they can just fix themselves back up to full. Same for Scoria despite the fact he's an Archimandrite because he's a Walker, and he has 9 EW1 4++ 5+++ wounds and can fix 4 of them per round.>>97089846Boringness aside, those are some quite pretty Arlatax. >>97091150>is he going to demand you make them Rhino surf like some kind of COWARD?No, hes going to say "hey (anon), which rhino did you have dudes in again?"And then youre going to tell him, because thats how that works. playing with "mystery transports" could be funny for a mission though, you would just need to have them all clearly marked and have the contents written down somewhere beforehand.hell, you could do something similar to this concept. A mass of armored transports is trying to break through enemy lines while carrying a VIP, the enemy (superior in firepower) is trying to stop them.
>>97091171Something like:The defenders get a collumn deployment zone from the middle of the short edge of the board. They field a fully mechanized army, with a lot of transports carrying various units, and maybe some heavier transports like land raiders or even a spartan. Maybe allow them some light tanks like sabres and predators too, for the lulz. They have a VIP, the VIP must reach the exfil zone on the other short table edge, and then move off the table there. If he does, they win/get a massive amount of VP. the VIP's transport can also do the same (for the same effect). If the VIP remains alive, but does not make it off the table edge, no VP is scored (or the enemy scores a limited amount of VP). If the VIP dies then the enemy wins/scores a lot. The enemy (attacker) deployes enveloping the armored column, and should have a superior force to the opponent (or at least some sort of advantage that means the defender isnt encouraged to just stand, fight, and then win straight up. It should feel like a dash through enemy fire. They get to go first automatically and their mission is to kill the VIP.The catch: Unlike a normal game, the attacker does not know the contents of any transports. Do they waste their AT cracking open every rhino? or do they focus on the land raider, or is the land raider too obvious? Is the lone transport making a break for it a distraction? The VIP should be a consul imo, something like a master of signals or something in terms of stats, a logistical commander crucial for the war effort, but not a monster thats just going to bulldoze his way through the enemy. No "try and kill my eternal warrior terminator praetor" stuff.

But it costs more then Justarian brick, and can't enter terrain. But sure lets say I am stupid and can't figure it out. Not hard to imagine. Lets see any of the events results from events since edition dropped. How well do full mounted armies function and how many videos/guides are there about "how to play mounted WS armies in 3ed". Disintegrators are ass for the sake of spammability (nobody asked for this). >>97095204>Nullificators are goneOh yea, thats true. Also a lot of special characters. Although we did also get some new units (breacher vets, vet HSS, siege terminators)
>>97095259>they would be armed with a bunch of useless S4 AP3 D2 guns,Give them twin disintegrator rifles (S5 Ap2 D2 2 shots). Simple.
>>97095279Breaking Vets O.O up into different units was a good decision. I do say Siege Termies are incomplete thoughThey also seem like a trap option with 2A but only access to chainfists, Reaper sidegrade turned them anti heavy infantry only, and is plasma blasters...yikes. At least they look cool in one pose. The only legion who could possibly want them is the Death Guard (walking Reaper ACs), but they already have better Grave Warden 3A Cataphractii, and Terminator Heavy Flamers cannot be turned into Alchem Heavy Flamers because reasons
>>97095292I'd just restrict regular disintegrators to Destroyers and Vets (Vet Tacs & Vet HSS but not Retinue squads) and make them full S4 AP2 D2. That ought to be scarce enough
>>97095339How are siege termies a trap option when they are the same points cost with added option of taking heavy weapons.Plasma Blasters + Power Axes will slap imo - don't try to run them as HSS & just charge and volley fire
>>97086950I love that you wrote all of that but didn't bother to mention that the scale changed and the parts arent readily interoperable.

>>97094450>What do you guys use for scouts?I don't. Scouts are lame. Always have been.
>>97094450The old 40k scout models. The new 40k scouts have too many pr*maris marine design elements, and are the wrong scale (taller than heresy marines)
>>97095490>No one, and I mean absolutely no one, ever took nullificators.FTFY.Except for that one dude here.
>>97095507truth. The entire concept of space marine scouts is the worst part of 40k lore. A squad of independant scouting, espionnage, recon intelligence, stealth sniper/counter-sniper and trap-laying with advanced warfare in difficult terrain while staying hidden is a considerably more advanced elites level activity - while basic soldier grunts in tactical squads is basic beginner activity. The no-military-experience brits who wrote editions 20 years ago were simply like "well, 4+ armor save instead of 3+, that must mean they're just beginner discount marines" but it's entirely illogical. The beginner space marines at 17 years old would do basic fully power-armored garrison duty in safer battle sectors, slowly getting weened into more and more dangerous regions as needed and it'd be those 40+ year old experienced marines who would advance out of basic soldiery after having already dealt with weird terrain on 100+ battlefields and learned advanced coms, stealth, strategy and independant sub-command and advanced long range ballistics with heavier weaponry.Obviously there are other veterancy routes (shieldwall vets, jetpack vets, lascannon vets) not merely becoming a stealth sniper, but none of those routes would be given to 17 year old children like in BL trash.
>>97095598HH scouts aren't recruits though, they're specialists. It's recon marines wearing carapace armour rather than power armour. But it's understandable a 40k tourist like you would get that wrong.
>>97095615>says "40k scouts in 40k lore">retard thinks he's talking about "30k recon marines"Does your mom smile when she helps you put your pants on in the morning and ties your shoes for you?
>>97095650Ah yes, because HH has absolutely nothing to do with 40k lore whatsoever, and anon surely is just going wildly off-topic in a 30k thread.
>>97094381I have my pants on me. Sorry I thought you asked where my paints are.
>>97095339>They also seem like a trap option with 2A but only access to chainfistsTheyre not meant to be good in melee. With how much firepower they pack them being locked to power weapons is a mercy. You dont want power fist/thunder hammer + autocannon squads.
>>97095935Their "big firepower" is all anti infantry, and regular terminators, all armed with powered blades, are melee units by necessity. We were simply talking about chainfists yesterday and anon mentioned they were more like specialist weapons a couple soldiers in the squad would have while the rest wielded TH. But they can't get fists or hammers, only power weapons and chainfists.Power weapons would limit them to MEQ (not even VEQ), and at that point they are a vanilla Termie unit that is yet more limited despite having access to more heavy guns.Except maybe "Oops all Heavy flamers". That may be the real winner there.>You dont want power fist/thunder hammer + autocannon squads.Eeh they don't look half bad
>>97095985Siege Termies are beefed up HSS, bro. That's why they have... Vanguard 3... and yet Siege Tyrants are Support 1 like actual HSS...hmm
>>97096015>55 pts for one S9 krak missiles shotYikes
>>97095598They were supposed to be Boy Scouts cuz GW had a sense of humor once upon a time.
>>97095985>Their "big firepower" is all anti infantryIt does fine vs walkers too. But this is also incidentally why they shouldnt have access to the good melee weapons, because they already have guns designed against the typical users of those weapons. >all armed with powered blades, are melee units by necessity. Not at all. They are - at best - hybrid units. Siege terminators as "simply" a very durable shooting unit (with vanguard built in) is already a valuable thing to have. >Power weapons would limit them to MEQ (not even VEQ)Their guns shred VEQ. The melee vulnerability vs melee elites is intentional. >picYea, varangyr were (are) a cancerous design.
>>97095985>and regular terminators, all armed with powered blades, are melee units by necessity.Thanatars have their big graviton rams, that doesent make them melee units.
>>97086280What are you smoking anon, 1.0 combi vets were one of the best units in the game
>>97094453GW got caught with their pants down and basically via leaks everyone found out that a lot of units got cut, a lot of optiosn got removed, and a lot of HQs just went fucking missing. Then GW panic dropped a legends PDF which had MORE FUCKING ENTRIES THEN THE ACTUAL LIBER BOOK, to try and save face but still left their fucks ups all over it with a lot of units not even able to take optiosn they used to be able to, or fucked up rules that dont even make sense or work For example, mounted pretorian guard units dont have SGT key word so they cant even use some of the prime abilities.
>>97095119It got like 98% of it, there are only minor things missing that dont really have any reason to be missing, example being moritats cant take melee weapons anymore for reasons.
>>97095339>Siege terminators seem like trapsNah they are regularly top performers in my lists, 5 kitted with all autocanons can bully the shit outta MEQ and Vet units that have a 3+ save. A unit of 5 of them, which you are never going to move, get 15 shots, so its pretty decent, i always have them make points back being just an annoying fucking uint to try and kill. Because you cant ignore them, but it also feels bad dumping firepower into them. If i could describe them in an abstract way. Siege terminators are like a rock stuck in your shoe, its just annoying as fuck, and it makes you stop to deal with it.
>>97096318>Moritats can't take melee weapons>Armistos can, but can't change their pistol
>>97096378yeah its little shit like this which annoys me because a unit I loved to run was a moritat with out a jump pack, armed with plasma pistols and a Great sword and that way i could use my Cypher model as my moritat. Oh another thing they did was they fucked up bitter duty AGAIN. HQs with bitter duty can ONLY join Bitter duty units rather then being able to join any unit. Which is frustrating but oh well.
>>97095935it's just GW being shit at writing profiles all over again. Siege tyrants are worthless in 3rd because they pay an absolute fortune to get a powerfist they can't use with WS4 and no attacks. They're 55 points each with a shooting profile only worth +10 points, at MOST +15 and that's a stretch. If we treat it as +15, then siege tyrants are 40 points for just WS4 termie with just the stupid pfist. That means they had to pay +10 points more than Tartaros Sieges for a melee they can't even use for anything. In sergeant list, a power weapon is +10 and a pfist is +15 points. So a terminator should only need to pay +5 pts extra to swap pweapon for a powerfist, but instead GW makes a terminator buy pfist/thammer for +10 per model instead of +5.And don't get me started on GW being so retarded they charge +10 points for one lightning claw or +10 points for +2 attack pair of lightning claws. They're so trash there's not even a way to begin to explain it.
>>97086171TQ:1.0: Pie plate parking lot simulator 2.0: Tough one here, but its a tie between 3 things, WS chart making WS5 so asininly strong, Brutal just breaking the melee flow of the game of hammers or nothing, or how wildly unbalnced legions were between one another.3.0: The beginning of the end, the enshitification of HH has begun in full force.

>>97096446also, power sword and lightning claw cost the exact same +10 points in HH3 yet Lightning Claw is just better in literally every way as it's just a power sword that stacks Rending6+Breaching6 so it wounds easier and gets twice as many AP2 attacks since every rend breaches automatically.
>>97096446Siege TERMINATOS not siege tyrants. Siege terminators are very good, vanguard 3 autocannons FUCK.
>>97096479DESU i feel like GW needs to go back to the drawing board on all their power weapons. They are kinda all over the place in design. >>97096520anon i think he is just bringing up tyrants as a similar example to them, i could be wrong but thats how i read it.
>>97096520I specifically mentioned both Siege Tyrants and Tartaros Siege Terminators. Siege terminators are 30 point swords who become 45 with a reaper autocannon. Siege tyrants cost 55 points for a shitty WS4 powerfist and tyrants shooting is WORSE than reaper autocannons and they lose vanguard 3.
>>97096528It definitely doesn't help GW has this retarded notion that everything must be +0 +5 +10 +15.A powersword at +2 points and a lightning claw at +5 points might actually be a choice. Or a pfist at +13 and a Thammer at +17 points. But GW's arbitrary retarded point thresholds make 90% of melee weapons useless on each profile as there's one correct answer and everything else are wrong answers for melee.
>>97096589>and tyrants shooting is WORSE than reaper autocannonsFor what? Tyrants have lascannons for hunting tanks, they also have a lot of firepower for taking out lighter infantry, siege tartaros have autocannons for hunting heavy infantry and dreads.>55pts vs 45ptsand a power fist is a 10pts upgrade. >ws4theyre both ws4
>>97096616Power weapons should be +5pts, special power weapons/claws at +10, fists and thammers at +15. Done.
>>97096635wrong. A power weapon is +10 over a chainsword, and a powerfist is +15. Yet if you start with a powersword, they want +10 instead of +5. GW is incapable of any sane points costs.
>>97096635Buying a powerfist costs the same for a WS4 model with 1 attack as it does for a WS5 model with 4 attacks. This is a fundamental design fuck-up of epic proportions that ruins all 30k unit designs.
>>97096774Terminator weapons are priced differently. For a terminator, a power weapon is free and a fist or hammer is (typically) 10ppm.
>>97096843Unless you start out with a Power Fist or Thunder hammer. Then they'll ask further +5 pts for a chainfist, as if they weren't equivalent in all other lists
>>97096843Cenobiums have Terran blades and an option for thunder hammers, and those definitly don't feel priced right.
>>97096790/hhg/ bitched endlessly about character pricing in the start of the last edition, fuck off
>>97097021Yeah but TGS kinda are MEH, you need like 8 of them to start being scary because they are all about volume of attacks, if you dont have volume they kinda suck.
>>97095598>muh tacticool headcanonthey're literally grimderp boy scouts dumbass
>resing piece snaps as I'm cleaning it sending my knife into my fingerFUCK OFF
>>97095598Bro your headcanon is way the fuck wrong. in 40k, scouts are new recruits who most of the time dont even have their black carapace yet which is why they are in scout armor. They do scout work to learn the ropes and do recon with a trained scout master who typically is a vet and passes down legion skills and teachings. They would not do fully power armored garrison duty.JFC stop getting your lore from fucking weshammer youtube shorts.
>>97097021terranic greatswords are arguably equivalent with thunder hammers, but probably slightly worse. So I can see the argument for them being paid OR free.
>>97097043yeah. you are right on that. No idea why GW does stuff like that. first you wait years for real models, kit bash buying multiple kits to build a unit. then buy the resin one. And then GW decides one day that unit X, Y and Z, that made the faction cool and why you picked it in the first place, should now suck for minimum of 3 years. What do they think in the HQ, that someone who started IH or IW, will see bad rules and go screw the +3k pts I already bought and painted, try to do NL or WS and start it buy rebuying all the LR, rhinos, tacticals, heroes etc.
>>97095598>power armor garrison duty>40kAnon, do you know what 40k marines are? You dont send in the space marines to hold some safe backfield objective. Space marines are the super elite, super rare, shock troops of the imperium, sent in on specific high-priority high-impact missions that best utilize their specific capabilities. Power armor is incredibly rare and valuable, as is everything else about them. Scouts are already hardened fighters, but cant yet be equipped with power armor. They instead perform duties that suit their lighter equipment (and which arent the sort of "surrounded by 2000000 dudes head on assault" assault combats that typical marines engage in, because that would kill them).
>>97095598>is a considerably more advanced elites level activityWhat you dont understand (or maybe have simply forgotten) is that basic marine troops do much more dangerous things. Your typical marine squad is dropped in behind enemy lines at the most dangerous part of the enemy forces to take out some priority target or whatever. Even tactical marines are elite shock troops, either deploying via drop pod, orbital transport or rhino to assault enemy strongpoints. They arent doing perimeter patrols back at the imperial headquarters, theyre beint sent in to assassinate warlord smashdakka or clear out a fortress.
>>97096635>Tyrants have lascannons for hunting tanksDidn't you hear? Lascannons are bad against tanks now. They say D1 Heavy (D) won't cut it. 300 pts of Tyrants will strip about 2 HP of a 220 pts Land Raider on average, as they went from 10 krak missiles and 3A on the charge per model to 5 Kraks and 2A per dude. It's nasty
>>97090878I don't either, but a guy on 40klore made a spoiler thread for it. If anyone has the dl for it, I would love to read it. I miss the trove every day.Surely someone has a copy.
>only other player getting a FW Magnus this weekend>I already made a plastic Alpharius conversionWill I enjoy the primarchslop?
>>97097447Primarchs are for redditors
>>97094424I'll give that a try, thanks!
>>97090719Its almost making me want to play it at this point.
>>97097120There are tanks in the game other than land raiders. And you are capable of standing still if necessary.
>>97097555>>97097555>There are tanks in the game other than land raiders. That doesn't matter, because there's no difference in what can kill a land raider and what can kill anything else in the game, you just need to spam more of it. There's no reason every list shouldn't start with 4 demolishers, they're the new lascannon HSS
I know this is on me for watching youtube slop but isn't this tier list pure ass??There's no way RG is the worst army in the game, or that TS isn't the best by far.
>>97097567>There's no reason every list shouldn't start with 4 demolishersThe reason is "I have four rapier laser destroyer batteries, and they outrange your vindicators and do more damage to tanks"The demolisher is range 24 anon, its never, ever, ever, getting the damage 6 vs an enemy vehicle that isnt a rhino rushing you or whatever. It also cant return fire, which is actually fairly significant.
>>97097570>There's no way RG is the worst army in the gameThe legion with "take 50% damage from shooting" as their legion trait? You dont say.
Working on a base for a possessed saturnine I'm converting for my AL.I think I'm gonna paint over the sigil on the far rock, it's a bit distracting. Also have a ton of details to pick out and clean up but I'm pretty happy with the glow effect on the central runes.Post some models anons! Also what would you guys think a demonic saturnine dread's melee would look like stat wise? I'm assuming it would be super slow and inflict a stupid amount of damage but I'm unsure what would be "fair" - this is just gonna be for display.
>>97097570Them putting AL in C is all you need to know lmao. RAW AL can shoot out of medium cover with impunity by being right outside of 1" of the edge of terrain. Can't draw line of sight to them because they count as being 2" further in cover, meaning they're actually over 3" from the edge of terrain and you can't draw LoS. Above may be a lack of comprehension on my part but even if that's not true they'd still be at least upper B.
>>97097595Finished the mk2b for my word bearers >>97097595>Also what would you guys think a demonic saturnine dread's melee would look like stat wise?Honest, probably whatever a telemon has with a psychic trait added and maybe phase (s) (probably a bad idea consider saturnine are already so absurdly tough). Judging from other word bearers units, most of the mechanical benefit of daemonhood lies in being malefic and increased resilience, Gal Vorbak being 3 wounds and phraetus having EW.
>>97097616Jesus christ they literally put an FAQ for this for you retards who can't read
>>97097633Hell yeah anon, I appreciate that you even defaced the aquila on the tracks.I'll take a look at the Telemon, I hadn't realized it has pretty much the same profile as a saturnine Dread.
>>97097570>that entire C tier
>>97097655Not just the same profile...
>>97097730So how much will Citadel crib off the Saturnine dread to make a plastic Telemon with?
>>97097555No there aren't. The only tanks that exist in the game are land raiders. The only units that exists in the game which aren't vehicles are terminators. The only weapon option that exists is thunder hammers.
Are Golden Keshig worthwhile? I'm running an army that focuses on infiltrating elite recon marines, vigilators and headhunters supported by airborne elements like javelins and xiphons, anchored around a spartan full of terminators. Figured a fast, melee punching unit would be a worthwhile add for some sudden threat. It's a Rewards of Treachery unit for my Alpha Legion
>>97097730Which is tougher game-wise? I figure it must be the telmon but does it have an equivalent to the defraction field?
>>97097950They're both T8 2+/4++, the telemon gets an extra wound and has eternal warrior (1) like all custodes but loses the diffraction field. The telemon also gets +1M, WS,BS, and A though
>>97097950>SaturnineWS4 T8 W8 I3 2+/4++ WP7 IN5Thermal Diffraction Field>TelemonWS5 T8 W8 I3 2+/4++ WP9 IN3Eternal Warrior (1)Implacable AdvanceThe latter costs 20 points more and has a better overall statline outside of brain damage, both will be spending 10-20 points on wargear.
>>97097054welcome to the party pal, I got a huge scar on my thumb after my knife slipped while cleaning
>>97095339No, veterans should be able to mix and match the seperation from melee to shooty is retarded
>>970920383rd e biggest flop
