I think these guys would make pretty good "normal" beastmen, i.e. not pestigors, if you just clean off the boils and add some fur. I've always wanted Beastmen to be mutants with varied body shapes and a more monstrous look, which is in line with every fluff depiction, instead of just being uniform goatmen. The new range here would fit the bill, monstrous and freaky.

The fact you even have the option of making cathayan warriors all men to me is at least somewhat of a pushback, although swept under the radar.
