>>97118274You'd need this to double up both, not harmonic
All my worst experiences in commander stem from enchantments. I fucking hate those pieces of shit. I can't play mono black or Rakdos in peace because ENCHANTMENTS could be here, I thought. I've never been in this pod before. There could be ENCHANTMENTS anywhere. The cool sleeves felt good between my fingers. I HATE ENCHANTMENTS, I thought. Anvil of Crom reverberated my entire table, making it pulsate even as the $0.30 energy drink circulated through my powerful thick veins and washed away my (merited) fear of non-creature permanents after my turn. With a Chaos Warp, you can remove any enchantment you want, I said to myself, out loud.
>>97118326Roaming Throne doesn't care about the type of trigger, so you don't need anything else to double the death triggers.
>>97118345If you want to draw 4 you need something to double the death triggers.
>>97118355anon is assuming you steal 2 creatures and kill both, so you would draw 2x2 cards
>>97118355Roaming Throne doubles the death triggers. Read Edea again, the death triggers are separate from the steal triggers (they're not delayed triggers), and they come from Edea herself. They apply to creatures stolen by other cards too.

Find the Dragon balls!RRRRRRRSorceryStarting with you in turn order, each player takes turns putting a dragon ball token into his or her deck until 7 have been placed. All players must now reveal every card that leaves their library. Whenever a dragon ball is revealed this way, puts it onto the battlefield. It has "This token cannot leave the battlefield no matter what, nor can any counter be placed or removed on it aside from this ability. Put X counters on the dragon ball, where X 1d7, rerolling if another dragon ball token has that many already. All other players close their eyes, and you hide this somewhere. If a player takes combat damage, or loses, you may give them a hint as to where the dragon ball is in a game of hot and cold. If a player wins, that player loses instead, as the dragon balls exist. Once a player collects all 7 dragon balls, shenron will physically manifest and grant you a legitimate wish, totally real and not just in this cards ability text with imagination, for real." This isn't quite the contemporary version. The actual decklist has been updated to be a bit more efficient. The Dark Depths is gone. Cyclonic Rift replaced Ancient Tomb as one of three game changers. The "cute" do-nothing sagas and Encroaching Mycosynth got swapped out for some counterspells and card draw. Had a genuinely awful win today. Some guy played a full-proxied full-powered Yshtola, and we just had to tunnel him with our bracket 3 decks. But he also had zero idea how the fuck to pilot his deck so it mostly just involved him tutoring things and casting random wincons.I just cloned his Rhystic Study early in the game, and where the table was terrified of this guy who is trying to Thoracle Consult, they were not afraid of the guy running Summon: Leviathan so I drew upwards of 20 cards. Then after slaughtering the combo player I just went on to eat the table alive.

>>97123554>and also because your deck as a whole isn't B3 tier (hell it's not even strong enough to win an FNM B2)Thats a hot take for sure. Im running a (IMO) less optimized version of the deck right now and it is what I would consider a fair 3. It doesn't have inf combos, but it has a lot of draw and with Urza/Jaheira it can get out of hand quickly. The main issue Ive had is with actual game enders (I mean if I really wanted it then Craterhoof is probably good). But I have a pretty clear artifact synergy with this list and the ability to pop off if I get the right draw, so I wouldn't say its going to struggle at a B3 unless is a c3dh game disguised as a B3 game, which some people around here seem to think is the point of B3.
>>97123794>Thats a hot take for sure. it's not a hot take at all, just look at the guy's decklist, it's not going to win anything even remotely sweaty, so why put Urza? because you can? westoids have no concept of restrainti'm just giving friendly advice because if his opponents matched him dollar for dollar they'll crush him with craterhoof/token slop, and god forbid you promote that

>>97124834This might shock you but those people aren't only proxying reserve list cards. Pivoting to a new deck in the metagame every few months is expensive for an unsanctioned proxy friendly format with limited prize support. Most players trying a new brew will use what they have on hand and proxy or borrow the rest. It really isn't uncommon to see decks using tons of them. But again you're missing the point.

It's bizarre how people will spend hundreds of dollars on a deck and consider it a point of pride to the point of elitism. Not even the people I play tennis with are this small about their rackets (one guy insists on orange wilson balls though)
>>97125194>headline: Not even the people I play tennis with are this small about their rackets!>buried down below in a wall of text: one guy insists on orange wilson balls though(You) dont hate the media enough
If you've got a $500 premium deck and just people wouldn't be willing to spend that much on a single deck, wouldn't you want other people to proxy so you have a wider pool of people you can play with that are around that level?
>>97125209>wouldn't you want other people to proxy so you have a wider pool of people you can play with that are around that level? That is correctNotice that i dont actually tell them to stop proxyingI'm just saying that at the end of the day they're just F2P poorfags and should act accordingly, that's all
>>97125209The point of spending $500 on a deck is so they can win against people not willing to pay that much. The last thing they want is even competition because that makes the money they didn't worthless.
>>97125184>My point is vintage and cedh make it a point that proxies are allowed so long as they're recognizable at a distance to prevent confusion, chinese fakes happen to be the best low cost solution to thatThey are explicitly not allowed. Last night my friend cast a Rolling Earthquake for a large number, trying to end the game that turn, but forgot a Phyrexian Obliterator was on the field. We all kind of rolled our eyes... the game was going on too long, it was at a point where we just wanted the game to be over so we could play another, so we just said that somehow the Rolling Earthquake player only had to sac 5 perms into the Obliterator effect. But just to be clear, I know that Phyrexian Obliterator should've nuked that man's entire playmat.
>>97125832Did it end the game?
>>97125832>tfw I was allowed to tutor with a ring tempts card, then resolve sauron's wheel without having to discard the tutored card because everyone wanted the game to finally endI tutored another board wipe ehehenearly died that day to blunt trauma
>>97125854The Rolling Earthquake player also neglected that a 3rd player had a huge stockpile of treasure and food tokens, so they survived. At this point everyone started shuffling up, so I think everyone had their own interpretation of how that game ended. We got another game going quickly after that though.

>>97126121You must be a new player. Did you explain your intent to handle the player in the lead specifically? If you're able to quickly take out the player with the most advantage, that means you're probably also a threat to the players that are behind, which makes you the biggest threat in their assessment. Especially if you have a protection piece on board.
>>97126138why not wait 'til I kill opp B tho and then kill my protection?
Does every deck NEED ramp? I prefer to play creatures on turns 1-3, commander on turn 4, and by then I have 4-5 lands on turn 5 and mana rocks just feel like a wasted card.I usually just run sol ring and signet, maybe a mind stone.
>>97126209No, you don't need ramp in every deck. Mana stability is enough.
>>97126121Not everyone is as good as reading a board as other people. Some people do shit like this for no reason other than spite. It doesn't matter if they lose, you made a play against them and they got bitter about it.Some guy cost me, himself and other player the game one game for seemingly no reason other than because I told him he needed to call out what counter spell he's actually using when he just said "I counter you commander" and I asked "with what" and he got defensive until I got up to look at his graveyard only to see he tried to counter a creature with swan song. This format can be chill, but its also full of retards and autistics
>>97126209Not necessarily. If your cmc is really low you can go without it. My Bart Lurrus deck doesn't run that much since everything is capped at 2. I still run a handful of rocks to cast multiple spells a turn earlier, and mana vault to hit Lurrus early. Depends entirely on the deck.
>>97126209yea the ones that can be turned in for cards are pretty much the only ones worth running like you said and edge of autumn in in green
>>97126227I have certainly seen spite plays like this before or ones that go out of their way to try and piss people off before keeling over. it just seems so much more common these days
>>97125523Whats up with scamistan?
>Wow bro, you used cursed totem? You're totally not letting me play the game>Okay, I destroy your totem>2 turns later>I play void winnower.Spite plays and retards with no self-awareness are killing this format for me.
>>97126209No, a deck with a very low average mana cost can skip them, or if your local meta is slow enough. But most decks want to ramp into playing multiple cards a turn because most one and two cost cards aren't going to do much against three opponents who start with forty life each.
>You shouldn't have any spell that costs the same as your commander in your curve>Commander cost 2Is this a nonsense "rule of thumb" or what

>>97125664Honestly as a Gisafag all you really have to do is dump high power low toughness creatures on the board and ensure you have enough cards in hand to kill anything that might threaten your horde while regenerating or resurrecting anything that goes into your graveyard.
