anyway, a single surface wouldnt provide enough friction for it to climb. it veered to the left then gripped two walls at the same time, providing it enough grip to climb up

I think I should get the Phoenix Rudder deck set just so I could continue my tests. How does 2-60 align with Unicorn Sting?
>>
>>11145700
Do you have a link to one?
>>
>>11145932
not that anon, but I found a couple:
https://files.catbox.moe/26qis1.jpg -A tier list voted on by 50 singapore bladers (doesn't include Leon Crest or Pheonix Rudder)

https://files.catbox.moe/7rcv4n.jpg -a tier list made by youtuber Zankye

Not a tier list in the strictest sense, but i'd also have a look at versusendev's yt channel where there's a lot of data gathered from various tournaments, includes both parts and combos https://youtu.be/SWwzoGGn_lo?si=tlUuquAPD8F8mcN9

I'd still take these with a grain of salt though, since there's some dumb choices like Black Shell being in A in Zankye's and Dran Dagger being D in the singapore tier list.

Generally Pheonix Wing/Soar Phoenix and Wizard Rod have been the kings of the meta for about 6 months now

>>
Went to my first tournament today, which was for all ages because fuck giving the kids a fair chance I guess.
I didn't do that well because my collection isn't the best or the biggest, though I feel I did decent for someone who had to be weaned off the proto launcher during my first match, had started like three months ago with little practice, and who faced people who are way more experienced and skilled than me. I pretty much threw my first match because of the proto launcher shit but gave my opponent a bit of a scare; second match was vs a kid using beys lent by the store whom I reluctantly curbstomped because I wanted to see how far I could go. Third round was vs either a teen or a very young looking guy who was tryharding with a Wizard Rod combo against whom I lost.
I can't say I'm too scared of Wizard Rod after battling it but it's such a horrible bey for the game itself. Every bit of joy and excitement that comes from playing is completely drained whenever that thing is on the stadium. If you lose it's what you expect but if you win it feels like a strike of luck. I was memeing about Wizard Rod being a killjoy but I didn't expect it to be that bad. It gets results and with enough skill it can offset the -1 point rule against it but nothing about using Wizard Rod is fun.

On a positive note, I got to test a Shinobi Shadow combo I am schizocrafting thanks to other attendees, so I'll soon be known locally as that retard that uses Shinobi Shadow unironically in a tournament.

>>
>>11147845
Nothing that i've seen.
I have a few guesses as to what will happen:
>1. They'll just release it as a single booster with unique parts
>2. They'll do what they did for the Metal Masters DS games and have it and maybe a couple unique beys as a store exclusive for that upcoming game
>3. Western audiences are just SOL since they don't really have a reason to release just a blade
>>
>>11147064
I mean, maybe, but that's the fun of it.
Why blade without your favorite bey? Only to win?

>>
>>11148582
I thought the kids' tournament was going to run in parallel, and I didn't ask because the poor organizer was herding cats inside the shop.
I honestly think kids should get their own division because of their physique but I also feel that they were allowed in as filler. The kids didn't seem to mind it, though; up until the last round when the adults began to get really crazy about winning they made the tournament IMO. To them this was the most serious games of beyblade they had, well technically for me too but you get what I mean. They really felt the tournament.

Bits, as in the bases?
You can see the combo stated in the box you bought them from, for example the starter with the green Knight Shield names it "Helm Knight 3-80 N". N is for Needle.
If you don't have the boxes, you could go to the wiki in the fandom site and compare the photos with what you have.
There's also Zankye's site dedicated to making a database for Beyblade X but I take everything he says with a grain of salt ever since he sperged about Tusk Mammoth being bad. Tusk Mammoth might actually make buying the Hasbro stadium worth it IMO if you can get it for the prize of a Takara deck set.
>>

>Tusk Mammoth might actually make buying the Hasbro stadium worth it IMO if you can get it for the prize of a Takara deck set.
I think the hasbro stadium's a solid enough alternative on its own worth trying out (either because you already have the TT one and want something different or cant justify the price of importing it and need anything other than the dogshit bucket arena)
either way while mammoth's solid, dagger's the real star of the show in that pickup

I went through the WBO's winning combos thread and gathered every Beyblade in the Top 3 placements for my own personal data, up to the most recent post this evening.
Out of the 2,553 combos I recorded, there were 598 Phoenix Wings, which is 23.42% of the entire list. Next highest was Wizard Rod at 433 / 16.96%.
To put that in perspective, the next runners up were
>Shark Edge at 231 / 9.05%

Bakuten boomer here.
Do we know by now what each ratchet does past not bursting and deciding the height? Which would be the equivalents to heavy, balance, and wide?
>>
>>11152470
Pretty much just weight distribution. Some use specific ratchets, like how 7-60 is both the heaviest short ratchet and has a slight imbalance that can help balance certain unbalanced blades a bit more. The only one that does the weight distribution in a more interesting way if you ask me is the 1 line. 1 having a purposeful imbalance to get more aggressive hits on top of the fact that it seems to let beys hop out of pockets more gives it a bit more interesting usage. Sorta hoping for more varied ratchets later.

>>
>>11152474
I wasn't aware 7-60 did that. Neat to see TT throwing a bone to the type they failed this generation.
Recently I've been wanting to test what 2-60 does but everyone seems too scared of bursting to try so I have no idea. All I can infer is that it helps with endurance and attack by having two big lumps of plastic swinging on both sides.
The ones I'm still not sure about are the 3, 4, 5 ratchets. They seem like they only matter for their shape but I feel like 5 should be heavier and 3 have a more outward weight distribution judging by its success with stamina combos, but that leaves 4 as a bit of a mystery. Apparently it's great on Unicorn Sting combos but I haven't heard an explanation as to why.
>>
>>11152775
>inb4 old man Tala is Ekusu's teacher
>>
so is hasbro wave 2 still not officially out or what
>>
>>11152876
Yeah, 7-60 hangs down a lot, and has a slight little extra protrusion that balances something like Cobalt Dragoon. It does increase scrape risk though and creates a bigger target. The theory behind 2-60 is that it uses the hammer protrusions as a source of extra attack, but most of the time it just creates an easy source to burst. Besides that, 3 and 5 are just different kinds of weight distribution, 5 is the second heaviest behind 7 so far. 4 is probably meant to be even weight distribution to keep a certain balance, but has the increased burst chance to make up for that balance.

How the fuck did you find Phoenix Rudder at Walmart?
>>
If Silver Wolf is supposed to be Wolborg, why does it have a free-spinning ring on its blade? That was Galeon and Gaia Dragoon's thing.

>>
>>11155742
He didn't. He thinks Phoenix Wing and Phoenix Rudder are the same thing.

Well you're the wandering pink sock expert, so you would know. Do you think it was big white or big black that did that damage? Or just Goatse maybe? Educate us, pooper pounding master.
>>
So I'm getting back into beyblade for the first time in YEARS, if I use a string launcher, is it recommended to pull the full length of the string or no?
>>
>>11156016
You don't want to put too much strain on the string launcher. From what i've gathered there are two ways to approach launching with the string:
>1. Focus more on the speed of your launch than then strength, pull it maybe 75% of the way before stopping.
>2. Pinch, don't grab, the handle. That way once the string is out all the way it'll just slip out of your fingers, allowing you to maximize launching power without putting too much strain on the string.
>>
>>11151345
Her tits are massive
>>
>>11156018
Thanks! I'll try both of these, the pinching seems to look/feel awkward since the grip is smaller than I remember (I last played MFB in 6th grade so maybe my hands are just bigger) but maybe I'll get the hang of it.

Have we gotten a report of a single properly molded Unite?
I watched a video on an "awakened" Unite and I was kind of shocked with how tactical(?) one could be with it, but that was a guy who took one of his copies of Unite and shaved the plastic presenting the tip inside the bit from touching the stadium, which made it like half a millimeter shorter.
I doubt even getting to that point through wear is tournament legal.

I think that's Wal-mart in general, the ones near me never have anything out by the normal street date, save for Black Friday shit. I haven't seen anything up north here, but it also seems like Target and Wal-mart have two different stock lists, so I'll be checking Target after work today. Really hoping for that Tyranno, but we also have a scalping issue here, so I won't hold my breath.

I assume you're using the stadium with the clear top? If not, upgrade to that from the dog bowl, there'll be a notable improvement. Otherwise, probably just avoid playing in a cluttered room, and play on the floor if it's manageable. I don't often get jumpouts, but they're a whole lot easier to recover if they don't get the extra couple feet of flight distance off of a table.
>>
>>11157295
Yes that's the one, the only official Hasbro stadium. I'm not familiar with the dog bowl, and usually we end up having to use the tables due to the space we've played in.

Technically, weight distribution adjustability is a thing with how ratchets are designed. As for attack and stamina mode change, we'll probably get it, but somebody has 3D-printed a special bit for Dranzer S that does that, in the meantime.

>>
Is Defense not really viable in X-gen? Most decks I see are 2 Attacks, 1 Stamina.
>>
>>11158775
Form my point of view the attack types are running amok in this generation, considering the X gimmick was designed to make them impactful. I don't understand why they have to dunk on defensive types so often by giving them hollowed out blades and exposed gaps that tend to burst. If I could change something about Beyblade X it would be treating defensive types with a lot more reverence to create a true rock paper scissors meta.
>>
>>11158781
The issue is that the stadium benefitting attack types with the xtreme rail creates a hidden flying brick meta. With enough rpm an aggressive Wizard Rod combo can punch every other bey out of the stadium with ease, which is also what Phoenix Wing is all about, so if every other defense type was as heavy as they should be they would become mobile defense/anti-attack types instead of working properly as defense types because the xtreme dash mechanic makes standing at the center a bad strategy. If you are passive you have to either have so much weight that you can survive a Dran Sword to the face or enough stamina to shrug it off.

If you ask me, defense types need something to be done with the gears so they can grip the rail and counter more easily. As they are, their best strategy as a defense type is not engaging or countering but the latter is not a guarantee. We need a Rush Needle bit.
>>
>>11158775
>>11158781
Balancing a really good defense type would be a nightmare for them imo, I mean won't it's properties just be the best traits of both attack and stamina beys? (high weight, big ass ratchet, good stamina, avoiding the rail, etc.) Also makes me wonder how a good defense type would actually play like.
>>
>>11158889
Attack type in X is so busted that before Leon Crest most defense blades were put on aggressive bits to improve performance, like Rhino Horn on Flat/Taper or Knight Shield on Taper. I've only heard of Knight Lance making it as a defense type but High Needle is oddly mobile and the stock combo focused on counterattacks.
>>
>>11157309
There's also a shitty green one with a wide open top, I hadn't actually seen one in person until a couple days ago.
If escapees are an issue, you could always just get a piece of clear plastic to cover the top after you launch. It normally shouldn't be an issue, though.
>>
>>11158471
>Technically, weight distribution adjustability is a thing with how ratchets are designed.
I know but it's not as drastic as on those other two. Alter Kronos on blue was almost a completely different bey than Alter Kronos on red.
>>
>>11158526
Stock Beat is rough. Quake is ass, and 4-tooth rachets are prone to bursting easily across all heights.

>>11158775
Defense types seem to be designed around mobility in the early game before settling into the middle to outlast weak x attacks in the middle to late game.
>>

Wizard Rod and its consequences have been a disaster for Beyblade X. They have greatly increased the win rate of those of us who blade under the “meta”, but they have destabilized the playing field, have made blading unfulfilling, have subjected rogue bladers to indignities, have led to widespread psychological suffering (in the junior player community to physical suffering as well) and have inflicted severe damage on tournament spectators. The continued development of heavier beys will worsen the situation. It will certainly subject bladers to greater indignities and inflict greater damage on the game, it will probably lead to greater game rules disruption and psychological suffering, and it may lead to increased physical suffering even in “advanced” decks.
>>
>>11160446
i can get the mentality that would lead someone to do this but it just looks like shit, they always do

I think the main issue with V1 of Gaia dragoon is the sub attack ring, but they made a gaia dragoon in burst era with the sub attack ring still there so who knows.
V seems like the go to choice but they might hold off because they feel like not having some form of magnacore would be unfaithful, I wouldn't mind it since the attack ring design looks cool compared to the other V1 protag beyblades.
I would like to see G solely because they might try to implement the engine gear system and that sounds crazy with extreme dash involved.

The Hasbro crossovers are notoriously underweight compared to their original counterparts. Their bits and ratchets aren't anything special. The launchers are the shitty proto launchers with a Marvel logo. You're paying a premium for the IP, honestly. If you enjoy crossover IPs, then by all means. If you're not feeling great about it, you can get the originals for cheaper.

It also says that you're fine to do the same thing with paint and stickers. A sharpie affects the profile substantially less than paint or a sticker, so the rule doesn't make much sense by comparison, and is most likely only referring to your bit and ratchet (the paint/clear coat ruling specifically refers to the blade).

If your setup isn't currently working, fuck around with stuff you haven't considered before, work on your launches, or just take a break if it's stressing you out. The important thing is that this is a game, and you're supposed to have fun. Don't stress too much; there's usually gonna be a bigger fish, but nobody's said you've stopped growing yourself.

I've found that using winder no grip and left handed so you can sort of pull the ripcord back and out against the gears instead of just straight out it puts out some stupid strength its like giving your self jian levels of super strength this is how rhino was meant to be used.
>>
>>11166806
There won't be a perfect way, because without a special convoluted/electronic launcher, you're still spinning them from the same side, where a PvP match is two launches from opposing sides. Side by side clips seem to be the best, from what I've seen, and they do have multiple selectable angles if you get the right set.

>>
>>11170439
You could? Wow, tell us all the weights then please.
>>
>>11170439
If that scale came with x-ray eyes, sure. There's no set weight for any metal parts, each one has minor variances, so you can't confirm anything by weight alone. Only way to know without fully opening it is to feel up the bag inside the box, but my boosters came in sealed plastic, so good luck with that.
>>
so apparently Costco is selling these
>>
Is whale wave out, yet? I'm seeing review videos but beysandbricks and mallofbeys both only still have preorders.
>>
>>11170439
If you mean the random boosters, not exactly. They put in extra pieces of cardboard inside the packaging of lighter beys to sort of offset the weight. For example, in the Shell booster, both Shell and Unicorn had two extra slips of cardboard, while Phoenix Wing had none.
>>
Question for who already have Whale Wave, is it good for defense type use?

I got a message back from beysandbricks, apparently TT got hit with a massive spike in preorders last minute so they'll be a week late in distribution for a lot of preorders.

What is the best mobile defense bit?
Last time, I did a test with my Shadow Shinobi using 2-60 and Hexa and it did pretty well against beys such as Shark Edge on Low Flat and Tyranno Beat on Flat. I have only gotten to buy a 2-60 of my own but couldn't get the Hexa yet, but then while watching videos on Weiss Tiger, Knight Lance, and Leon Crest I started to reconsider the approach of simply not being kicked out of the stadium for being a ninja. Hexa worked great at keeping Shinobi Shadow inside the stadium and outspinning attack types but that left them the opportunity to charge into it with a xtreme dash so I'm wondering now what are the best bits for mobile defense.
Taper, I feel, is too aggressive although it can keep Shinobi Shadow away with enough control, Unite is playing a gacha but when it works it maneuvers like no bit in the game, Point worked great on Leon Crest for defense in Nizuma Blader's tests but this is the best defense blade so far, High Needle is mixed, I've seen it be very aggressive at the start but also spin in place from the start so I don't know.
>>
>>11171704
I don't know about best, but Dot is literally described as mobile defense.
>>
>>11171871
Does it move around though?

Okay be real with me, there aren't any bootleg Boosters yet right? I just ordered some boosters from a somewhat shady China based store (they sell bootleg MFB shit)...
>>
>>11171402
Make sure to look around nearby, my Target didn't have any of it's wave 2 releases on a peg, but they were basically hidden down on a separate shelf. I'm guessing someone didn't want to waste time organizing the pegs and dumped them all in the first open space they could find, which seems par for the minimum-wage retail work course. No buckets, but they had every wave 2 release.
>>
>>11172109
I haven't seen or heard of any, the main issue is repacks. If the deal was too good to be true, there's a good chance someone already rifled through em for the prize drops. I've heard of Amazon buyers getting shafted with five of the same commons out of five boxes, which seems less than likely to be legit.
>>
>>11172172
I bought some "guaranteed' boosters and the pricing seemed to be appropriate (3x the price of one booster for the prize bey, 2x for "in-demand" beys, etc.) hope I don't get shafted though. Can I check for authenticity with the QR codes when it gets here? or are the stickers on the boxes enough?

Went to my local Toys r Us earlier and saw some booster boxes without the tape too, someone clearly looked at the little paper inserts. Those are supposed to be in plastic, right? Not sure how they did that.

I would say you generally shouldn't buy random boosters from somebody who also sells them individually with guaranteed pulls, unless it's an insanely trustworthy store there is no way you aren't just getting shit that's hard to sell individually that isn't just a China thing btw. Also there are certainly some bootleg Beyblade X beys but not many as most beys are still in stock so it's kinda silly, I don't think it's a booming business as I haven't seen any outside of wave 1. I assume it's worth their effort trying to sell and ship these overseas for the most part if they are still making them you would really have to specifically look hard for them so you're safe from that imo
>>
>>11172195
>>11173026
Thanks, I bought some "guaranteed" boosters because I wanted a Blue Phoenix Wing (and a Blue Viper) since everyone I know and their mothers have been buying the red one. Any way to check for authenticity besides just looking at the thing?
>>
>>11173036
QR code and weight are the obvious things although they might be able to match weight. Fakes generally right now have fake names instead of TT will have their own made up company and instead of Beyblade will be called Beyb A Dex, Beysuper X etc (probably a bunch more) as they are straight up bootlegs and not midfakes like you see in MFB. Other small things I've seen is using screws instead of rivets on the bey, using regular screws on the ratchet instead of a tri-wing screw.
You should be virtually 100% safe don't sweat it
>>
>>11172984
Speaking of that, I wish I wasn't so autistic about wanting to own genuine blades. I don't even know why, I wasn't even into Metal Fight growing up and the midfakes are a lot cheaper in some cases and serve a useful purpose. But I just like having the more functional versions of certain parts.

One thing worth noting about bootlegs is that you get what you pay for in one way or another. You're usually fine in a lot of cases, but with bootleg Beyblades, I've seen some potentially dangerous QC misses (a small metal burr can slice your hand up even without factoring in the spinning).
