Especially considering the lawsuit was claiming them created things they didn't, it was probably safer just to avoid toon stuff like Krang/Vernon/Irma/etc. A lot of Laird's last few years with the turtles was spent making sure Mirage held the rights to everything TMNT related, with the 80's show being the big exception.

What I want them to do is kinda hybridize and mostly take cues from the cartoon, because this was a failure. Not like Usagi Yojimbo where it's a fun failure. Or just include both heads... but I do think they should keep the three toed feet just so she stands out.

It would be great if they made a book with all of his art from over the years. His MOTU work is pretty well known, but not as much is ever said about his time working on TMNT.

I finished my custom street scene diorama for the turtle hoard after testing with the smaller corner ones (Slimer and Homer) posted before. It’s massive and should be a lot of fun for photos with the mirage line and mezco figures.
