Paint isn't necessary unless you need that high quality finish, are doing decals or feel the need to topcoat to get rid of that plastic shine. All of it can be done later as well if you want (ask me how I know).

From there you may or may not need to separate parts again depending on how the kit is built. If you can break it into workable sub assemblies at pegs and the like, great, if not you're separating parts. There are tricks to make the last bit easier.Speaking in really broad strokes, for the main bodies of most girlpla you won't need to disassemble, but armor and weapons can get weird.

It's just typical Japanese collector's autism that stands for "someone else previously owned this, so it's TECHNICALLY used". As for Europe and shipping costs, it seems to be highly variable. I know a couple of builders in various European countries, and that shit varies WILDLY. Sometimes a single kit costs and arm and a leg, sometimes it only costs and arm.

Now that the dust has settled, were Busou Shinki actually kinda shit? Cheap plastic, inconsistent tolerances, you couldn't really build anything until the big design changeover (which flopped), and weird proportions abound.
I want to get into 30MS but I'm not sure if I should get glass files or sanding sponges to avoid stressmarks. I heard that files are better for flat/straight plastic but have a high chance of damaging curved parts, which seems to be most parts of the girls. What would you recommend?

Anyone know what this is I bought? Had no head or hands just a blank body the box was a plain small brown box with the logo DHouse on it. I thought it at least came with a head and hair and I could just use face plates with it but that was not the case. The body was a really nice build. Similar to MDs but it's actually slightly better on materials and build than an MD I'm was very impressed with the build. There was a red version as well on the sale listing. I got it on Amazon for pretty cheap since its just a blank body it was 25 dollars.

Built my Seeker tonight.…it’s fine. I can’t believe how big the box is considering the final product, it feels like they could get it down to 30MS size at least, which feel like the closest comparable line. This is not my first Megalomaria, I also built Ruby Eye. Barring some new body type, deco, or some drastic change in the future, it’s probably going to be my last, though. The female frame is fine- it’s very articulated, but I don’t love how wobbly the thigh joint is as a result, and the little feet don’t help things much. Very expressive hands, but not different enough to warrant repeat purchases. I would prefer that they push for more weapon/outfit packs in the future.

Got my Rishetta Freesia Wear ver. in today. I need to first say that the idea that she was based off of Avatar Fumina is extremely skin deep. Both obviously use 30ms tech, however Rishetta has made a significant change, her waist piece is now fixed in place. She has lost a lot of leg movement. Outside the obvious knee range, the new hip structure has totally nerfed her leg range. She "can" get good hip range, but it breaks the sculpt so severely it can't be intentional. Her shoulders stick out quite a bit more than previous 30ms girls. This makes her have an absolute massive shoulder range compared to past girls, however, they don't push in meaning she just always has weird shoulders.
Her weapons and armor are neat, I like that the pieces combine into a roy-roy style buddy. Her stock armor unfortunately doesn't really work super well with Rishetta's og upgrade kit, the claws don't fit on the new ones at all and she doesn't have the insert piece for the ears.
The new hair and face is a massive upgrade. Parts separation and layering is so much better on the hair it's nuts, what's more is that the side bangs are now actually utilizing the long unused head core ball joints, meaning they are actually poseable this time.This kit really is mostly a side grade of base Rishetta. There are several significant improvements, but the change to the hips is not great outside for looks. Freesia is probably a better solo model, but old Rishetta is massively expandable.
Now, here is the crazy bit.She is compatible with Megami Device chest plates.
