Where on the planet would you go to do this, given the following Law/Police Sciences bachelor11 years a cop, 5 in training, 4 years being a drill instructor, 2 being in drug enforcement 3 years experience as a business startup consultantWould ideally like to provide mentorship and help to kids and people that need it. if it was up to me id channel it through teaching BJJ, English, or working at/owning an orphanage or facility for troubled youth. Yes I know I sound like a retard but I'm shooting for the pinnacle and seeing how close i can land.Rural, with access to the city would be perfect, but I'm sure that's also a tall ask I'm done being the current me and would like to become what I've wanted since I was a teen. Idgaf about leaving everything. my experiences are all I need
>>2708431Lots of opportunities in boring midsized cities of flyover country. Rochester, Minnesota or Dubuque, Iowa might be what you're looking for.But honestly with that background you could probably take a crack at content creation and live almost anywhere. Become one of those motivational life coaches on TikTok and X and watch the cash roll in.
>>2708431Commendable of you OP. >>2708442 is pretty much spot on but doesn't get the point. Look for the absolute most deprived areas you can and do what you're dreaming of. I'd be further to the East coast (still inland) if you want rural/city mix, the South especially if you're good with the climate and people.
>>2708431Santa Fe
>>2708442>>2708580>>2708582I appreciate these responses, but I'm not a US citizen. and I'm not commendable. Would you still recommend these options, knowing that is the case?
>>2708591Where are you a citizen?
>>2708604UAE
>>2708431the DEA gets to travel the world busting drug cartelsread about an article about how a bunch of em went on a "world debauchery tour" on the gov' dime. they got busted though. but u get the point, travel and bust bad guys, sounds fun
>>2708884Not a US citizen. Hated being a cop, did it because of familial pressure, and made the best of my situation. Thanks for your input, though.
>>2708925>Hated being a copwhy?
>>2710237Was pressured into it. My father led me to believe nobody else would take me and implied he'd disown me if I ever quit. Ironic now cause he can die where he stands.I value my personal freedoms, and felt like a hypocrite being part of a system that restricts the freedoms of others. I understand it's role and place in society, and highly respect anyone that can remain a professional in the field without their morality or hunger for power being skewed. My life's goal is to uplift people, and when I joined the drug force, I felt like a large number of our arrests were victims of circumstance that would have done much better in an environment that gave them a chance at a better life. There were obviously some disgusting drug lords, gang leaders, traffickers, and international criminals, but even then, seeing the fallout and everyone around them crumble did nothing for me.
Did plapjaks finally break 4chan?There's some /fit/izen who loses his mind everytime it gets posted there claiming its a full psyop
>>2710429I've been a plapper for a while. Pic could literally be a photo of me
>>2708431maybe you should just sell your ass to g4s
>>2708431>>2708613American living in UAE here. I've been living here 2 years and plan to stay another 2 before I move home to the states. Why would you want to leave? Us expats all leave our home for the safety and economic opportunities UAE provides. I don't interact with too many locals besides guys I meet at BJJ, but it appears from the outside that most locals live comfortable lives. I suppose for your goals there are many places in the world that need what you are looking to offer more (mentorship, etc). I find this commendable you are willing to leave a comfortable life (i'm assuming you live comfortably here) to go help the needy. Right after college I used to work at a nonprofit for poor kids in the city where I grew up, it was the best job ever, but I left it for IT/government work since it didn't pay well. One day I hope to teach BJJ to underprivileged kids for free once I can make passive income. Suffice it to say, I respect your dream and hope you realize it Anon.
>>2712748BJJ?! Where do you train? lmfao Wonder if I know you cunt. You're literally stealing my current vocational path word for word, barring a miracle putting me where id ideally want to be.you'd better not be a nogi only guy or we've got serious problems buddy, hahaha. Very interesting.Yes, I'm sick of being told of my privilege, I absolutely know how lucky I am, and we all have different priorities and goals in life, and from the places I've been on Earth and the different economic statuses I've had, this is not my goal. I DESPISE THIS PLACE AND EVERYTHING IT REPRESENTS, and have too many thoughts to put in a 4chan post.
>>2708431>UAE>police>etc Go do security contracting for a few years, then start your own security company in an arab-ajacent client country. Hire locals and train them. Pay them min wage to guard gates and shops. Pretty easy gig.
>>2713124I am absolutely a nogi guy, which is why I barely train lol, I never put on a gi until I moved here, id don't really like it desu. It's so hard to find people or gyms interested in nogi. When I do actually train, I go to Mubadala Arena in Sports City, Abu Dhabi. Which is another thing I appreciate from the UAE, they have free training available to residents.Anyway, here are some establishments I have found inspiring that you might also appreciate. Maybe their business model is something similar to your dream:https://levelgroundmma.org/ Level Ground is a nonprofit mma gym for underprivileged youth in Boston, it also functions as an afterschool program provide homework assistance and workforce training. https://herobjj.com/Hero BJJ provides free access to BJJ training for local kids in Costa Rica and pays for it be hosting BJJ vacation retreats feature big name coaches/competitors.
>>2713321I'd love to give you the name of a spot to train then but idk how to do it without doxxing myself to the rest of 4chan. we do nogi 6 days a week (currently 4 due to matspace issues but we'll be out of Wellfit soon).how come you ain't at 10th planet?thanks for the links. will check em out. what're the fucking odds
>>2713327we'll be training out of Wellfit* not leaving it
>>2713327I love 10p. I used to train at 10th planet Las Vegas when I was living in the states. Being in Abu Dhabi I can't go to 10p Dubai regularly. When I first moved to UAE I was visiting Dubai monthly for nightlife and tourist stuff, it quickly lost its appeal, now i hardly ever go up there unless I have a reason lol. But when I do, I try to drop in for a class or open mat.
>>2713658Huh. I was a day one member from when it opened in 2020. now I really think I must have rolled with you. anyway fuck it, Jake left and so did we.Yeah fuck the nightlife, I have one or two spots i visit for the music and other than that just hit LSB or Brass Monkey for shitty food and 8-Ball.anywayHope we can open our schools in the future. my main focus is being there for people.
>>2713669It's possible we rolled before, I moved here in 2022, ive been to 10p Dubai like 4 or 5 times while Jake was there. Where is he now? I saw way back on social media that at 10th Planet Dubai Downtown location was supposed to be opening, I was wondering if he was involved in that?
>>2714133He was. Then some drama happened, so it's on hiatus.
>>2714236 Ah I see. If you want to talk offline I have a burner number (1+203-290-2977) just shoot me a message with your IG or something on there and we can connect. I'd love to know what other places in Dubai that are focusing on Nogi
