going to london for 4 days w a friend. not staying there much. friend is a football freak so we are going to manchester on sat for a game and on sun back to london for another - so we are probably renting a car. i honestly want to see some picturesque countryside and maybe go one night out. i like nature mythology, celtic stuff, tolkien, good food & techno for nightlife. where should we go.
>>2834394>i honestly want to see some picturesque countrysideThe Peak District is between London and Manchester and may have what you seek. It's not our best national park but it is very convenient for your route. You could stop in Bakewell or even just drive through on the way.>maybe go one night out/techno for nightlifeIf your choice is between Manchester and London I'd personally pick Manchester since London can get very pricey and dressy if you're just casually travelling. Northern nightlife is more fun in general too. Try Hidden or Gorilla in Manchester for techno.>i like nature mythology, celtic stuff, tolkienYour route is in very un-celtic and un-tolkienesque (frankly manchester is also not picturesque at all) parts of the UK like southeastern and central northern England. Areas that you might like in England and Wales would be the Cotswolds, Cheshire, the New Forest, East Anglia, Shropshire and Powys.>foodI can only speak for Manchester but Sam's Chop House is a good shout. No doubt London has tons of great places though.
>>2834394>back to back premierslop gamesJesus, should've chosen a more real experience in the lower leagues. Must've cost him a bomb.In any event, try and get in on the pre-game drinking with fans. This will allow you a somewhat 'authentic experience', and people generally will be happy to see some freshfaced cunts popping along to support their side. Also, only faggots get to their seat on time. You need to spend at least 5 minutes downstairs finishing off your pint, and then bonus points if you have seats in the middle of the row and make everyone stand.I'd not bother with the car, desu. Just book trains asap. Parking in cities is a bit shit. Also, if you want to get to techno events, and get sloshed at the footy, you don't want to worry about driving. Parking on matchdays can be fucking brutal. Trains in the UK are expensive, but are actually decent.

>>2834394>nature mythology, celtic stuff, tolkienin and around manchester you're not going to get any of that, nor anything picturesque. like >>2834488 anon said, you're best going through the peak district on your drive back to london. it's funny; i am from manchester and live here still, and i love it. however i have no idea what id recommend.
