just watched thisshit's entertaining but trying to mix all the Predator timelines and lore into one single story makes it all kind of mess
So after watching VHS Halloween, I decided I would go ahead and watch all of the VHS movies that came out after viral and rank them. Objectively speaking, here are the rankings from best to worse>VHS2>VHS1>VHS Halloween (carried hard by 1 segment)>VHS Beyond >VHS 85>Vhs 99>Vhs viral >Vhs 94I cannot understand why people think 94 is good. Every segment needs to be reworked and the best segment according to consensus has only 1 terrifying scene that just has the monster stay still for a few seconds. I was not all impressed by it. A bear watching from the treeline is more intimidating than that. Bonestorm mogs it completely. As for the best entry, well 2 is a straight up improvement on 1. Looking at the best segments, safe haven or alien slumber party both clear the siren chick and lesbian killer from 1. Beyond is a serviceable decent entry all around. Can't go wrong with showing it at a party. Perhaps next year will be better than before. I hope so. Someone should edit the best VHS segments into 1 custom wraparound story that makes sense. That would be the best VHS entry by far.
>>215861503that's my main gripe with movies where characters have whole conversations through text chat

>>215856308So many people seem to hate Freddy's Dead. How do you fix it?
>>215862196...While simultaneously ignoring key lore like their only showing up during warm spells and being vulnerable to cold. AVP kind of fucked this. Prey pushed it a bit more and now we've got them operating unhindered in conditions that should've killed the human let alone one of them. And don't get me started on the pistol. That thing gets around more than a cheap hooker.
>>215862958i don't think they've ever been said to be weak to cold only that they appear during heatwavescity hunter seemed to be doing just fine in the meat locker, even mentioned he went there every 2 days for a snack

>>215856560Talk about a betrayal of the character!

>>215861294>mistakenly lynchedWell, he says he took their kids away from them because they took his. It adds some motivation, and maybe makes him a bit more of a sympathetic character, but he still killed kids.
>>215863292They were using cold guns on it based on that assumption. Didn't exactly work out but if they're cold-blooded as implied, the reasoning was sound.
>>215863502You can't recover detail from blacks. If a movie is under exposed, the parts that crashed to black have no image in them. If a scene is over exposed/blown out/too bright, some of the details are still there if you up the exposure.

>Movie is good but it is a complete fluke>Writer/director proves himself to be possibly the worst hack in the history of film making with a series of sequelsThis franchise would have been better if a studio had farmed it out to some assholes as a cheap cash-in.
>>215865021I liked 1-4. The newest one was just a lore dump and clearly trying to make him be seen as a "real" director.

>>215865182>which is weird because it's the same companyYou mean all the NOES movies are and the Jason movies? F13 1-8 were produced by Paramount. New Line bought the rights and made Goes to Hell, X, and FvJ, it was at that point they started calling them "Jason" instead

>>215867178>Faggot shit
>>215867911Yeah. There is a tiny bit desu. You have to just skim over some of that dialogue and pretend it didn't happen.

Based George Romero>As zombie chaos envelops the city, actor-comedian Margaret Cho makes a grand entrance on an electric scooter, with a posse in tow.>“I’m so psyched that she said yes to this,” Tina Romero says. “Margaret Cho is very meaningful to me on a few levels.">“When I came out to my dad, I was in college ... and he was very cool about it. He was like ‘men are a--holes anyway. That’s great.’ And a couple months later, he booked us tickets to go see Margaret Cho on tour in Pittsburgh. I felt at the time that this was his way of saying ‘I accept you, I’m gonna take you to see Margaret Cho because she’s a very out and proud bisexual,’ and she did not shy from talking about queer shit, even back then. And it was always very meaningful to me. >“He took me to see that, and he took me to see a stage production of ‘Hedwig and the Angry Inch.’ And in these ways, I felt like he was saying, like, ‘hey kid, it’s OK. It’s OK that you’re gay. I see you, and it’s OK.’ And so when I had the opportunity to work with (Cho) now, on this level, it felt so special.”
>>215868684cho got casting couch'd
