Stop Making Sense was a hit so they let Byrne have his own movie. But SMS worked because of Demme, who had nothing to do with this one. It's of interest to Heads fans and has some cool stuff but overall is a big failure. I wish he had leaned more into it being an adaptation of Weekly Word News articles like he'd originally intended.
That said, Stop Making Sense is a perfect concert movie that everyone should see.
