>dude what if your life was just working all the time wouldn't that suck lol
>8.7 IMDb

...Really?
>>
watch season 2 and you'll be even more confused
>>
>>215874421
Most people have jobs. Most people hate their job. I'm surprised it took someone this long to come up with this show.
>>
>>215874421
biggest redditslop since the boys
>>
>>215874493
Why don't more people kill themselves? I'd rather be dead than work a soulless desk job from 9-5. Some crazy people will even take overtime. Life's too short, if you ask me.
>>
You can say dude what if and then the plot of literally anything and it will sound stupid with that said Severance S2 was poor.
>>
>>215874993
>why dont they kill themselves?
>life is too short

jesus christ can you manage a sentence without logical inconsistencies?
>>
>>215874608
i don't remember any anal vore
it's a decent scifi mystery with some strong characters and great casting
>>
>>215874421
you forgot the mystery box
>>
>>215874993
Some believe there is light at the end of the tunnel. What they don't realise is in that light is them being a frail, poor 60 something year old with -- statistically speaking -- a bunch of medical issues
>>
>>215874993
why not shit your pants before the elevator?
>>
>>215874993
do you think the NPC meme is really a meme?
There are people that do the same soul breaking job for 30 years
>>
>>215874421
>>215874493
The show is barely even about that beyond the first half of the first season. It's just a premise that's quickly tossed in favour of interpersonal drama.

>>215875211
It's barely about that either, and the mystery box element is also solved and discarded midway through the second season. The show is a romantic drama with sci-fi elements at this point.
>>
season 2 is fucking TRASH!
>>
one of the only good shows to come out in the last gay ass decade and you fags still find a way to complain about it
>>
>>215874993
Plenty of people kill themselves. It's literally like a million people per year or something
For other people it's either work or be homeless. Most people opt for work.
>>
>good premise with unlimited options for creativity
>let's make a subplot where two old men explore each other's crust
>>
>>215875300
I like it, anon, and still like it after S2 (albeit with some reservations). Most of /tv/ seems to disagree, though. (But then /tv/ also likes absolute shite, so it's no barometer of taste.)
>>
season 2 was good and most people in the generals liked it and just tricked themselves into shitting on it for the meme
>>
I couldn't get past one episode of this slop
>>
>>215875800
Except that's the best storyline in the show. You'd have to be a fag not to enjoy Walken and Turturro interacting, and then they bring John Noble in out of nowhere. Absolute kino. They also knew enough to not have any gay old man fucking in the show. In fact, there's not even a kiss. Holding hands is as hardcore as it gets.

>>215876399
Season two was incredibly uneven. Chikhai Bardo is the best episode of the entire show and the finale was great too. Many of the other episodes are just boring filler and that stands out even more on a rewatch.
>>
>>215874421
pure r3ddit
>>
>>215874421
someone explained the plot to me
basically i think the part of you that had to be at work continuously would go insane and would want to kms. i would want to kms if my entire existence became work.
>>
I hate shows about work. Why would I want to spend my spare time not at work watching other people be at work.
>>
>>215876502
Mad Men was kino
>>
I feel like I am living in a simulation with this show. Its so obvious its the LOST formula of creating mystery boxes without having any idea of how to close them. This was painfully obvious with the baby goats scene where the creators when pressed on what that was about said "we don't know we were just thinking what would add shock value". There is no overarching plan for the show and theyre flying by on the seat of their pants.
>>
>>215876554
Except the mystery box aspect of the show was revealed and disposed of in season two. They were experimenting on Gemma to see how many innies a human mind could handle, with the goal of selling the chip to the public as a way to get out of experiencing negative events. There's nothing left to explain. The show has moved on to the real big cliffhanger of which of the three women Mark has fucked in the show is going to win the right to get dicked down by him for life.
>>
>>215876463
>You'd have to be a fag not to enjoy Walken and Turturro interacting

Lmao queer
>>
>>215877151
We don't sign our posts here.
>>
>>215877242
You'd be a fag not to enjoy it
>>
>>215874493
I genuinely would not mind skipping 8 hours of my life when I go to work. Most days I don’t even speak to coworkers and I don’t deal with the general public or clients. I spend most days killing time here or watching youtube videos
>>
>>215874993
nobody “chooses” a soulless desk job you put up with it so you can get money to do things you actually enjoy dumbass
>>
>>215874993
I want more from life than government/neet bux could afford me so I put up with my shitty 7-3 deskjob
>>
Zoomer Fight Club/Office Space
>>
I work in the building they film this show in and one day I got to watch Adam Scott do like 45 takes of walking in a straight line
>>
>>215875285
>It's just a premise that's quickly tossed in favour of interpersonal drama.
That is 50x worse on principle and you know it
>>
>>215875140
He is a dullard who is incapable of complex thought.
>>
>24 hours a day
>you're meant to sleep for 8
>work 8 or more
>8 for "spare time"
>that spare time happens to include
>waking up earlier than you want
>forced piss, shit, shower, making + eating breakfast, MAYBE half an hour of chilling doing whatever
>oops gotta go to work
>depending on your luck, commuting even with your own car / public transport takes 30+ minutes up to 1 hour for some people
>work dat 8 hours
>commute back home for 30mins-1 hour
>already tired from day of work
>around 6 hours of free time left because of travel
>all your chores await you so prep more food, laundry, pay bills, go to the store, etc
>MAYBE 4 ish hours for actual FREE time for yourself on a weekday if lucky
>go to bed early so you're not tired tomorrow at work LOL
>even more shit added in if you got a significant other or god forbid children, then you have 0 free time

I only work like 20-30 hours a week now part-time and even still I'm tired AF all the time dunno how normies with families do it desu.
>>
Upd8 when?
>>
>>215880808
Every normie I know is drugged up to the eyeballs, both legally and otherwise. People think it's normal to take 10 pills every morning just to be able to function.
>>
>>215875300
True. Severance S1 is the last actually good TV show I remember watching and liking enough to recommend to people. Haven't seen S2 but it sounds pretty bad.
>>
>>215877242
Only a faggot types passive aggressive posts like this
>>
>>215880808
Every normie I know is either a retired boomer or a working age burnt out drug addict. It's insane that anyone thinks this is normal. Every single job I've had stressed me out to the point where I lost any motivation, and none of them even paid particularly well.
>>
>>215874421
That's only half of the narrative. But the show ultimately nosedives and you don't get any real satisfying movement on the mystery, either.
I don't necessarily need answers to everything, but the meandering in season two was sad.
>>
>>215874421
helly is cute :3
>>
>>215881797
Yummy!
>>
>>215874421
did you only just realize that literally all online metrics sites are disguised advertizing?
>>
>>215881837
in this case the show is just good
>>
>>215881837
Rotten tomatoes literally redid their entire algorithm because of Captain Marvel and this shithole still uses it
>>
>>215881905
you have opinions that lack any nuance
>>
>>215875140
That is two sentences.
