It is a genre shift, from horror survival action movie to comic book style movie. Even the main antagonist was a female character who betrays the "feelings" of her "sister." Woke movies would have the sisters talk it out. Since this was a comic book predator movie, predator got humanized. Which I feel doesn't work for a movie in any predator movie unless you are the younger audience.
