They went all in on pumping out as much "Content" as possible. Problem is there is only so much talent to go around, only so many good ideas in a given year. This is why so many Modern Big Budget Special Effects look bad compared to stuff that was made 20, 30, even 40 years ago. Just look at the Predator as a recent example.And i'm sure there were more than a few good, 90min-120min movie scripts out there that got stretched out and bloated up to become an 8hr, 10ep mediocre streaming series. And all this demand opened the floodgates for activist shitters with an agenda, who knew the execs would let them get away with a lot of cringe shit because they just needed more content. It all became a perfect storm of sloppy shit that has never before existed in any other period of entertainment.
